Forgotten Soul Reaper
Prologue: Disappearing
Kurai Yume watched as the illusion of herself walked to her death. She was to be executed for treason, a treason that she did not commit. Not wanting to be seen Kurai closed off her spirit energy along with her spiritual pressure. What good would it be when they executed her and still felt her energy? Shaking her head a lone tear fell down her cheek and hit the ground. She began to think back to what caused this execution.Prologue: Disappearing
Kurai was walking around the Soul Society when she heard footsteps coming towards her and paused in her stride. Turning around she saw Byakuya coming towards her. She knew that his wife was ill and Kurai did all she could to help. Raising an eyebrow Kurai gave a small smile, “Hello Captain is something wrong with Hisana?”
“Nothing has change lieutenant; her condition is still the same. I am here for other reasons.” Byakuya’s expression didn’t change as he looked down to his second in command.
“Oh, I see. Well is there something wrong in the squad?” Kurai kept eye contact out of respect for her Captain also because she had a small crush on him as well.
“It seems you are being put under arrest for plotting against the soul reapers.” Byakuya heard the others coming but gave no acknowledge to it.
“What? I would never do such a thing! You know this Captain!” Kurai couldn’t believe that they would truly think that she would go against them. Sure she came from the Rukongai but this was her life, her family!
“They have evidence showing you signing a paper to let in the Espadas so they could destroy all of the Soul Society.” He kept his expression neutral but on the inside he was angry and disappointed.
Seeing the others Kurai let her head drop and felt them place the collar on her neck. Not bothering to look up she began walking to repentant cell thinking of how to prove that she was innocent.
Kurai could remember them being silent as she passed them by, all except for Gin Ichimaru. He always had that smile on his face, it made intrigued but at the same time she would fear him. Narrowing her eyes she remembered his last words to her.
“Who would’ve thought that the famous Kurai Yume could do such a thing? Such a pity.”
Growling in her throat Kurai clenched her fist. When no one was looking or around for the matter she managed to get out of the collar and made an illusion of herself. After that all she had to do was wait for someone to open the door then she would be free. She didn’t have to wait long however, because the door opened and Byakuya walked in. Trying to ignore the hurt she felt Kurai slipped out of the room and flashed stepped far away from them.
Now here she was, standing on the roof of a building watching her illusion rise to meet her end. “Actually it’s supposed to be my end but it’s the same difference.” Kurai slowly turned away and held up her Zanbato, “Ayatsuru, open.” Seeing the doors unlock Kurai began to walk through and knew that her fake death had been a success. Without looking back Kurai heard the doors close and sighed.
Now she officially disappeared.
