Chapter 1: Gone
It was a very peaceful day in the Seireitei. Everything seems quiet...
...a little too quiet.
A girl, 3rd Seat, Squad 13, Kiyone Kotetsu was heading back to her division. She was looking around, wondering where everyone was. It was very weird and strange. Where was everybody?
Alone...
"I wonder where everyone is?" Kiyone asked herself.
Alone...you are all alone, by yourself.
Kiyone approached the Fourth Division and went inside. She decided to find her sister, Lieutenant Isane Kotetsu of Squad 4. As she passed every hospital room, all the doors were opened, but they were all empty. Usually, the rooms were filled with Squad 11 thugs and those that Squad 10 threw in there (mostly on Bowser, Fifth Seat Squad 10’s part.)
Kiyone finally arrived at Captain Unohana’s office. She knocked on the door, waiting for a response.
Surprisingly, there was no response. She knocked again. Still, no answer. She opened the door and went inside. She looked around in the office and saw that everything was neat and tidy. Not a speck of dirt was spotted in the office. Kiyone was now getting worried. Where was her sister? She ran out of the Fourth Division and went towards the 13th Division.
“Captain! Captain! Where are you?” Kiyone called outside Captain Ukitake‘s office.
She barged into her captain’s office when there was not a response. To her surprise, he was not there. Even the co-3rd Seat, Sentaro was not there. The Armpit-Smelling Goatee Monkey would usually fight with her.
Kiyone’s heart was beating faster and faster. Her sister was missing; her captain and Sentaro were missing. It seemed like everyone was missing. She started to panic a bit. Kiyone ran out of the 13th Division and headed towards the 10th Division. She went towards Captain Toshiro Hitsugaya’s office and barged right in. He nor his lieutenant was not there.
You are alone...Kiyone.
She went towards Bowser’s office. He was not there. She left the 10th and started to search every Division Building to find someone, anyone. Sadly, there was no one anywhere.
All alone...in your little world, Kiyone.
Tears were slowly building up in her eyes. Everyone she cared about. Her sister. Her captain. Everyone...was gone.
“Am I...the only one left? The last person in the Soul Society?” Kiyone said sadly before she went into a fetal position and slowly started to cry.
As she stood in that position, she was wondering about what will become of her. Is she really the only soul left in the Soul Society? Can she really be all alone? Is this a dream gone wrong? Those thoughts clouded her mind. If she is the last soul alive, how will she survive? What will happen to the Seireitei, if there was no one there to defend it? Worse, who will save Kiyone from this forbidden nightmare? With no one left to protect her, she was on her own.
Kiyone Kotetsu's fight for survival...has begun. Now she needs to know where to begin.
