SPOILERS… Soul Society arc. Nothing too bad, but there's mention of Aizen and that lil issue.
This is set to be the night before Rukia's execution so if you know what happens just before and after that… you won't find any spoilers!
RATING, It's Porn. Nothing too deep of a plot but I was working to include several challenges so there is a bit of structure.

#46 Deep down a character isn't as good/bad as you thought. Prove it. (tho I fail to really answer this, it really pulled the character of Gin in a direction I wasn't expecting!)
Say good bye to what you could never keep
Since the annihilation of the Central 46, Ichimaru Gin had been exceptionally busy. After all that had passed and seeing to the details that would pit Hinamori Momo against Hitsugaya Toushiro, there had been precious little time to simply sit back and pass the time.
He'd made several excuses to himself, but there was one nagging voice in his mind. Her voice. One woman that never seemed to fail at reaching into his shell and demanding his attention.
The bandages she currently wore were testament to that. She'd thrown her blade down in open challenge. Against HIM. Her savior, her friend, her classmate, her lover.
There had been absolute ferocity in her eyes. The eyes that he could so easily get lost in. The bluest skies had held absolutely no interest for him, until he'd seen her smile at him as she lay dying in the road as a child.
He'd never told her that. He'd kept her close and so far away for so many years that the practiced routine was flawless. He went through the motions so easily. She went through her own motions that countered his and drew him back to her arms each time.
He'd left. Time after time, yet she'd glide to his side in her own time and chide him for his neglect, but never judge him or ask more of him than he'd offered.
She had held him at her mercy for hundreds of years. A silent partner for a life beget in poverty and strife. Loyal to a fault. Loved in secret. Shared in pain.
They had worked side by side and knew each other in ways that were intimate beyond the bed sheets. Matsumoto Rangiku was his sanctuary when he could bear his own solitude and obligations no more.
Now here he was again. She was going to be decidedly pissed off when he left her this time. He'd seen her watching and waiting. She knew that he'd have to come to her after their brief battle over the body of Lt. Hinamori.
Her captain was no doubt doting over the injuries that He himself had inflicted on his life long friend and love.
Gin had no time left. There was no goodbye he could offer her. She wouldn't ask him anything of why things were the way they were because of him. Or rather because of the suspicion of him.
Her anger worked mysteriously and he knew that there would be fireworks. That was what he was counting on. Each time they had butted heads over any issue or even over the dregs of an almost empty sake jug, she again would unleash the wild cat inside of her.
Her eyes as they tore into his soul down the length of his sword had promised him that.
Now all he had to do was find out where she would play their game of cat and mouse. To her he was always the mouse. He'd run and she would hunt, and would make him her toy in the end.
Years of this game had passed and he always let her win. He won but never minded taking the loss… if it was for her.
The execution of Kuchiki Rukia was the following day at noon. The night was also starting to wear on. There wouldn't be enough time. There never was but things were the way they were for a reason, and Gin wasn't about to change the future back. He still had a role to fulfill there.
Thoughts of the eminent tomorrow passed. From his perch he'd been watching the sultry shadow move through the 10th Division quarters. Constantly stopped and harassed by any number of lesser Shinigami. He could almost smell her irritation.
Yes. Tonight she'd be in a wonderful mood to play.
Then her form flashed from view. All traces of her spiritual energy dropped away and his grin nearly split his face. “Soo Rangiku-chan… I thought `cha were really mad at me this time, now I see you're gonna make time to play my game after all!” His words went unheard as he stretched his tall form and scanned the area.
“Ah so where do ya wanna to play today?” The fact that hers had been the first move spoke to his heart. She knew and she was pissed. She was such a sassy thing when you got to know her! The first move led to the chosen location, he'd not find her until she wanted him to.
They'd traveled to so many places over the years and Gin thought he had a pretty good idea where he'd find her this last time. Especially if she had any inclination that it was to be the last time. “Oi, Rangiku? You do know don'cha? You were always too smart for yer own good. Guess I'll just hafta see if I can outplay you tonight! Wouldn't is just be fun to see the look on yer face on findin me there ahead of you… that would certainly make things interesting! The little kitty may try to be the mouse, but you'll find that Ichimaru Gin is no cat… a silly chase isn't any fun unless you're being chased! I'll just have to play the fox.” Gin's form flashed and he was gone.
As Gin set of to outsmart her, Rangiku sat at a table in the 9th Division's office. She'd promised Hisagi a drink after losing a stupid bet, but his company was always welcome. She'd known that Gin had been watching her. She could always tell when he did.
Oh yes. He'd get what he was after. Only after she was good and ready. “Let im wait!” She slammed the jug of sake down and Hisagi shifted his eyes in her direction.
She'd been in a fine temper when she popped up in front of him with her arms and bosom laden with bottles of booze. “Let's do it! I owe you that drink so let's have at it! I'm tired of all the tension and I just want to forget it and play for a while!” Her spirit energy had not told Hisagi Shuhei that she was on her way and when confronted with her bouncing chest he'd jumped back a good five feet.
“Damn it Matsumoto! What the hell are you thinking! You can just jump out like that in front of someone during a wartime emergency!” His hand left his sword and reached for a bottle. “Why are you masking your presence anyway?”
“Humph well if you must know it's because I wanted to have a drink with just the 2 of us and with all the stress lately I simply couldn't get away. It seems like no one in Soul Society can think or act on their own now.” She poked him in the nose and waltzed right past him and into his office.
About an hour later Matsumoto sighed. “Well I suppose I'll have to go and see what he wants… as if I didn't know.” She swayed to her feet.
“What who wants?” Hisagi asked as she moved towards the door.
“Oh never mind! It's nothing really! I had fun Hisagi kun! I'll see you tomorrow!”
Matsumoto gave a painfully forced cheerful wave over her shoulder and gnashed her teeth.
“Ja ne Matsumoto. Thanks for the drink, be careful.” His warning told her that she'd let too much slip. *I wonder what Hisagi kun would really think if he knew where I was going…*
She slipped into the night and walked slowly towards the outskirts of Soul Society. “Why am I dragging this out? It's not like anything has changed. It's always the same old Gin.”
She let the sake warm her and bolster her courage. “Well, I suppose that I'd better shape up and get ready to play”. She shook her hair back and scanned the horizons. She couldn't pick Gin's Spirit energy out anywhere.
“Dammit” Matsumoto swore continually until she decided on where she'd go to start the game. Then she let her energy spike and tore off towards a small abandoned building by a lake several districts past the safety of the wall surrounding Soul Society.
Her step carried her quickly to her old apartment. She'd been safe in this building once before. Gin had left her alone in this building on more than one occasion, but here he'd always returned.
She sighed as she took in the sight of the filthy hovel. It had never failed to make her happy to see that some things stayed the same no matter how hard you tried to change them. Tonight she let her hand cover her mouth as she bit back the bitter taste that filled her.
She kept her energy high enough that anyone looking hard for her could pin point her, but her heart just wasn't in it for a chase. She kicked open the old door and let the room air out while she waited on the porch.
The view was still as serene as it had been when she'd first woken up in the tiny room. She smiled remembering the boy that had come through the door smiling at her with his hands full of berries. He'd sat right down and fed them to her one by one.
Rangiku sighed deeper as she rested against the frail structure of a porch. “What are you up to my friend and why do I think you're going to leave me behind again. Where can you go? There is nowhere for Shinigami if it isn't here in Soul Society…”
*Maybe he's not coming after all… maybe I waited too long and he's lost interest, or found someone else to entertain. I did take my time keeping him waiting… * the darkness felt so lonely without his spirit energy. He'd obviously returned the favor from her earlier stunt. “Where are you Gin?”
Long arms snaked around her middle and a soft voice in her ear answered, “Ah Rangiku-chan!”
“WAH! Gin! You scared me half to death! Where the hell were you hiding you sneaky jerk!” She jumped and struggled against his hold.
“Now now… that's hardly any way to say hello. You had sucha sour look on your face I was scared to come out and greet-cha. Now how's about you give me a reason to stay?” His question bit into her greatest fears and source of sorrow.
The fight left her shoulders and she turned in his arms to face him. His features were soft and gentle. The way he always looked when he was with her. She could read the question behind the question in the way he searched her eyes for the answer. The question he'd really asked was `Are you going to let me leave you without saying goodbye even though you know I won't give you any clues?'
“You win. Gin, you never intended to play the game tonight did you? You knew where I'd come. You've waited all this time.” Rangiku traced his jaw with a finger. Her heart sank. If he'd been waiting for her at all… then it was all true. It really was goodbye and he again was leaving her behind.
“maa maa Ran-chan… don'cha make those eyes at me.” He relaxed his face into her hand and let her sort things out.
They stood just looking over each other for a short eternity. Memorizing features already etched into the other's mind. Small gestures and delicate touches of hands remembering where they belonged.
The wild cat Gin had been waiting for was subdued. He'd wanted to keep her by his side but that wasn't a reality for him. She was a goddess of fantasy and memory. She was meant to thrive in the sunlight. To live free. She couldn't follow his dark path, he'd always left to make her blue skies brighter so that he could return and know that she'd been safe. She'd always hunted him down and stood by him. This was not a time that she'd be able to follow. This wasn't a future for her at all, it was goodbye.
His eyes bore into hers. Her soul felt like melting into his. His eyes. She'd rarely seen them more emotional in all their years together. If she kept looking into them she was really going to cry. She couldn't let him see her as weak.
She took a deep breath and gave in to the moment. This was going to be the last chance for them to spend any time together as friends or as lovers. When the sun rose they would draw their swords and take sides against each other. The line was drawn.
She reached around his neck and pulled him to her. Their eyes held until their lips met and Rangiku was the first to finish closing hers. Long fingers pulled her body tight against his own and Gin relaxed. She had made her choice. Granted there was only one he could have allowed her to make. The other option would have ended badly for both of them.
The tense coils in her body melted away under his fingers. They stood on the porch sampling each other drawing the moment out for as long as possible. The night air was warm and the breeze pulled at the fabric surrounding their bodies.
He was the victor and took of his spoils. Her legs collapsed as he slid a strong arm beneath them and picked her up. Her memory swam at the chance. He hadn't picked her up in years. Not since before they traveled to the academy.
“Gin…” He took them inside the house and laid her down on the pallet in the far corner. Releasing her lips he pulled her pink sash from around her shoulders as he sat up.
She watched him move in the moonlight. Her one forearm resting against her forehead and the other tracing the outside of his thigh. His long fingers slid loose the knot at her belt and that soon was pulled off and left to rest on the pile of pink fabric on the floor.
Her eyes followed the movement of his arms and caught a glimpse of his sword propped against the door frame. She sighed and noted that hers was lying beside it. There was a trust between them. At least for the rest of the night that hadn't changed.
She returned her gaze to the man still kneeling beside her. His belt had found hers and his ties were coming loose under expert fingers. His chest was broad though his lean form and fine features often gave a more sunken impression.
Propping herself up on an elbow she let her free hand travel the distance of his abdomen, across his chest and push the remaining fabric loose from his shoulders. He shrugged out of the garment and caught her hand in his, bringing it to his lips and gently kissing the palm.
She let her hand stay on his cheek and ran her thumb over his lips. His hands had moved to the ties that held her top on. He knew well where she hid the extra ones to keep the top from coming loose even in battle.
Freed from the constraints she let him push it back on her shoulders and catch on the elbow that led to the hand stroking his face. Smiling at her he tugged on her arm until she relented.
Tossing it aside he caught her in his arms and pressed their flesh tightly together. Feeling the still cooling air against their skin and the sparks left in the wake of their hands. He buried his kisses in the valley under her chin and kept pushing until he had her back to the floor again.
He long bangs tickled as he kissed his way lower and she cradled his head continuing to stroke them back from his face. As she always had. The familiar brow line finally unfurrowed and teasing her body in the way that only he could.
His body completely covered hers as he moved lower. Long fingers weren't dwarfed by the size of her breasts as they cupped them and manipulated the tender caresses to make her moan. His kisses had caught up to his fingers and delicately took her hardened nipples into his mouth.
He groaned as her nails dug into his scalp. She'd always played rough with her hands and especially with his hair. He traced all her contours, nipping and trailing wet lines in indistinguishable patterns over her breasts.
She watched the scene before her as if for the first time. He was taking their love making to a whole new experience. Each movement of his body was making her react as if it was the first time. Her hands traveled to his shoulders and stroked the hard muscles in his arms.
Gasping as a brief chill in the air touched the wet warm flesh she saw that her breasts were freed from his attentions. His mouth crushed hers as his body fell heavily atop of her again. Her legs moved to cradle his hips as he settled hard against her.
Arching her body to meet every inch of his she felt an ache of desire race through her blood. Her hands greedily grabbed at the flesh of his back as his tongue dove into her mouth.
Dueling muscles connected them. Each movement was met with draw and faint and the raw pull that desire brought. Her nails raked down his sides to his narrow waist; still held captive by his hakama.
The feeling of her claws against his hips instinctively ground his pelvis closer to hers. Letting his hardened member feel the heat of her core through the fabric. All the promise of ecstasy with so much getting in the way. He sighed her name as he felt her grasp the ties and pull until they broke.
He felt the pressure and heard the 2 snaps as the cloth tore. She arched again and snuck her fingers under the straps that held her own together. She tensed and broke both her ties.
Knowing they were free their hands sought contact. Her arms tracing the muscles of his chest and waiting as his arms fought to remove the tangle of fabric from their entwined legs.
Her legs lifted and bent as he commanded in nipping requests against the skin of her breasts.
She laughed as he fought and pulled and balanced his weight to continue the friction that held them together. His temper was fading as he kept running into another bend in her long legs that seemed to lock her hakama to her body.
Looking up at her laughing face softened his frustration from anger back to urgency. “Ahhh Rangiku… This just won't do.” He pulled his body away from her and sat on his heels between her bent legs.
She took a knuckle between her teeth to stifle her amusement. He was rumpled and back lit by the moon. As handsome as he'd ever looked in her eyes. She tucked her knees to her chest and expertly slipped the loose fabric up, over and off. “Don't tell me that a captain level Shinigami can't slip the regulation uniform off his favorite girl? What would all the girls say if they knew that Ichimaru Taisho got so…” He caught her mouth again and pulled her arm high over her head.
Feeling her lithe form stretching out beneath him was always one of the finer points of their foreplay. Her legs slid like silk up his thighs and her felt her toes find the seam of his forgotten hakama.
As her long legs pushed down against him taking his pants with them, Gin slid his free hand from her hip along the curves of her waist and breast and forced her other arm up to join it's partner.
Strong fingers stroked her palms as they settled into a fevered kiss. He forced one knee high up against her leg furthering her spread before him. Her heat was slick against the tip of his member as he teased the tip at her entrance. She pushed against his weight searching for more.
She watched in the half light the features of his face as he guided his cock inside of her. His eyebrows knotted in concentration yet peace settling on his face. She was his and they both knew it.
She wrapped her legs around his waist and hooked her ankles allowing for his first thrust to fall even deeper into her core. His lips formed her name but no sound came out. He pulled her lower back off the floor and began to move with her.
Gin's pace was neither hurried or lazy, like everything he did the end result felt like he'd had it planned out for some time. From the first pulsing crash her body washed over his to the release of her hands so that they could again tear at his hair, it was all orchestrated by a master.
His hand rarely left the small of her back. He held her tightly to him and moved her body to new heights with the softest of pressure. Her arched body splayed before him he moved both hands to frame her waist and locked their bodies tight.
She moaned his name as the movement stopped but screamed into the night as he slid her body with his as he sat back on his knees.
Bracing her hands against his chest she gasped for breath and struggled to gain control for the movement her body craved. They were well matched in size and her knees allowed her the perfect height from the mat beneath them to rock against his body.
She tossed her head back and moved with the guidance of his hands over his shaft. Impaling herself harder and faster as Gin moved his teeth over her nipples. His breath was ragged and his hands dug urgently into the flesh of her hips.
He could never last long after giving her the top position. The slap of wet flesh filled her ears as she felt her own orgasm starting to clamp and resist the separation of their bodies.
Her nails raked up his chest and neck and buried her fingers in his damp hair. She let her control go and ground her core against his cock. He pulsed inside her as she rocked with him.
She felt his orgasm twitching inside of her and his face morphed from strain to the gentle smile she craved so much. His eyes looked at peace as he peered out from his long bangs.
Rangiku slid his hair off his face and leaned in and kissed his forehead. His long arms wound tightly around her and Gin buried his face in the valley of her breasts.
They sat entwined until the sweat from their bodies dried in the cool morning air. Safe in his arms Rangiku had let her head rest against his shoulder and he could hear her breath coming in soft puffs.
With a deep sigh, Gin moved to lay her out on the mat. He felt the cold as her body fell away from his. She made some sleepy comments and never fully awakened so he covered her with his captain's robe and watched her snuggle in.
He slid his hakama on and salvaged what he could of the ties she'd broken. “maa Rangiku, if it were only so easy to break all ties. I dinna think I'll be as lucky.”
He loosely folded her uniform and crouched over her. “Arigato, Rangiku. Sayonara.”
He tied his belt and threw the top over his shoulders before reclaiming his sword. With a last look over his shoulder, Gin disappeared into the dawn.
He had no need for foolish attachments. His lover would be a memory. Just like the night fading into light.
