This something that I came up with while I was at my grandmother's house...……

He stood outside his division watching the snow fall peacefully on the ground. He was thinking about something because the look in his eye was glazed over. Aizen, Bounts, Espadas and paperwork were the least of his problems. She had not waked nor spoke to anyone. Life just seems to pass him by one moment at a time. He squeezed the area over his heart. It ached. She doesn't and will never know what he feels for her. She's probably going to want to save Aizen once more from Ichimaru's evil hold. As much as he wanted to believe, Ichimaru was the lease of anyone's minds with the exception for Matsumoto and Kira.
He clasped the coffee cup tightly. Aizen waited all this time to mess around and do something extremely evil, it wrecks millions of lives. He used Rukia, Ichigo and everyone else like little pawns. What made Tousen join their little gang was beyond him.
He sighed. He was the youngest to ever learn bankai. That's how come he was more respected than others, but when Kurosaki completed his bankai in three days. That surprised him. Hell, it even surprised everyone. Even Kuchiki was almost beaten by it.
The topic steered towards a certain childhood friend of his. Momo Hinamori. Ever since the first glimpse of the man, he was all she ever talked about. Once he forgot her birthday, she didn't talk to him for a month and two weeks, but when Aizen forgot, she instantly forgave him. Normally you probably couldn't have a decent conversation without her saying something about him. Every where she went, everything she said, was either how great or how handsome he was.
But that all ended for her real quick.
He was a cold, heartless, jerk-off that everyone feared because they didn't want to suffer his consequences. There was a menace behind those glasses. He was just waiting for a chance to strike.
But poor Momo ended up being stabbed and he nearly died because he swore to protect her.
Tears began to pour down his cheeks. Everything he did was because he swore to protect her no matter if she loved him or not.
A knot formed in his throat of angry and wailing cries. His will refused to let Hinamori die because of his foolishness or hers. He will continue to fight for her no matter the danger. He got to thinking. She's going to make a great wife when the time comes…Hopefully
She'll be his beautiful wife, who knows.
He turned to enter the division, sat the cup on the desk, turned off the lights, and jumped on the couch and slipped into a peaceful sleep.
Sometimes he would skip the couch and went to see Hinamori. Tear stains bright as day and sometimes he was sick from crying so much. Then his cold, hard depression kicked him and caused him to collapse during a captain meeting. He was immediately rushed to the fourth division. All he remembered of that day the bright lights of the divisions.
Two hours later, flowers from each captain (minus Zaraki and Mayuri) were sent to his room as get well soon presents. Rangiku sent a better gift. Momo Hinamori herself. He heard her and Rangiku outside his room. The door quietly opened and closed just like it was shut.
He heart broke more when he heard her cry. He caressed her cheek like he would a lover. “Shiro.” came her sweet voice. He chuckled to himself. “Hey Momo.” He whispered… Then a smile of happiness appeared on her beautiful, porcelain face… “Shiro-chan, how are you?” He wanted to tell her the truth but he didn't want to lie to her either or come on to strong. “Depressed, Lonely, and still missing something.” he said placing his hand on hers.
She laid her head above his chest and listened to listen to the beat of his heart. “Your heart is there, what else is missing?” she said. He leaned up off the bed and whispered in her ear. “You.” He silently implied. Her mouth opened but nothing came out. He took the chance. He placed his hand under her chin and kissed her.
She kissed him back and wrapped herself around him. She jerked back and began to cry.
“I'm so sorry Hitsugaya-kun, I didn't mean-”
“It's ok Momo; I wanted you to kiss me back.”
“….Are you -”
“I'm positive Momo-chan, I'm positive”
A Few Days Later……
He stood outside his division yet again. Arms wrapped his waist and her chin sat upon his shoulder. “You're gonna get sick if you don't come inside.” she said. “You're forgetting that I'm used to freezing temperature.” he fired back with a smile.
“Awwwww….Shiro-chan..”
“Don't you “awww” me; bed wetter.”
“Toshiro! I thought we agreed
“Sorry, but T had my finger crossed.”
She smiled evilly and said. “Well, that means I can you thumb-sucker then.”
“Hey! I don't think so little missy…”
She just laughed….
“I wasn't kidding Momo!”
“Alright, thumb-sucker!!”
“Momo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”
