So it has been Six months since Yuji had decided he would go off alone. Alone into the world of Blue. Marlene still didn’t understand it. Even after all the arguing and the harsh words. Those words still rang in her head as if they were just yesterday. “ I want to go alone Marlene. I don’t need someone else to die because of me.” Sure she understood why but…what about everything they had gone through? I thought we were partners Yuji…I thought we were friends.

Of course she knew she felt they were more than friends. She had never felt this way about anyone. I didn’t know I was capable of feeling this way. Ever. Yuji Kaido had turned her world upside down. He had changed the person she had spent 20 years becoming and the funny thing was, she was happy for it.

Marlene Sighed, leaning against a tree. “ Are you okay out there, Yuji?” She stared at the stars for a moment. It seemed so peaceful out there, in outer space. Looking from the outside in it was really hard to believe that Earth was being overrun by Giant insects and a dieing Human species.

Marlene felt a poke at her side and was taken out of her trance. She turned her head to glare at Sam. He was another Volunteer to come with Yuji and Marlene six months ago. They had become friends in the time being and Marlene really couldn’t look at him and be mad. He had long brown hair and dark eyes… He resembled Dice in a lot of ways. She smirked at him and pushed him playfully.

Sam feigned pain and laughed. “ You know Marlene, your not going to find him up there.” He pointed up at the sky. She removed her armor and started to unbutton her shirt. She still never cared if anyone was around while she was naked. She did find herself shielding herself a bit from Sam’s prying eyes. Ever since Yuji left, she had always regretted not making love to him. And for some reason unknown to her she wanted her body to be just for Yuji. She sighed yet again.

Undressed, she lay down into her sleeping bag and moved her hand under her pillow, fingering her gun. Since the Migration of the Blue, there had only been a few sightings of the bastards, but one can never be too sure. She knew in the back of her mind that something big was happening. Something more than they could ever imagine and she just hoped by the time that it came, she would be with Yuji.

Sam sat where Marlene previously was, propped against the tree. The others were making preparations for the next day and he was on night duty. Sleep well, Marlene. He knew Marlene wouldn’t fall asleep for a number of hours. She was constantly on the look out and alert. But he also knew not to bother her. She was either thinking about Yuji, or was in some other state of mind. It seemed like she knew something and was looking out for it constantly. Since the time he had known Marlene he had never seen her truly relaxed or content though… Eh, women. He took his eyes off Marlene and stared into the sky at the stars, wondering, wishing and hoping.

“ You sons of bitches!!” Yuji swung his Mech Suit’s blade over his head and sliced into the Insect with a force he had never known. The Blue was dead, but in Yuji’s mind it was just the beginning. He repeatedly stomped on the head and pushed it’s remains into the earth further and further with eat stomp. Sweat was pouring down his face and his breath was ragged. Elaina, Dice….Yung…Suddenly Marlene’s Face flashed in front of him and he gasped.

His breathing slowed and so did his aggression to the dead Blue. He stepped back and stared into nothing. Why can’t I control myself?! I wanted to try and stop the B Cells from taking over my mind but every time I fight, it gets worse. He shook his head and wiped his brow. Marlene’s face and even the name brought him comfort. It made him calm and see things better. Did I make a mistake on leaving her behind?

Once again the faces of all the victims passed in his mind. NO! I am doing this for man kind. I CAN DO THIS! I am going to take back this Earth. No matter what the cost! At that last thought he stomped on the now unrecognizable Blue’s head once more and walked on.

It had been six months since he left Marlene behind. He constantly prayed she was okay. But, if he knew Marlene, he knew she was still alive. The night that he left they had almost made love…but it didn’t seem like the right time to Yuji. He wanted to give all of himself to her and with the Blue still wreaking Havoc on Earth he knew he could not do that. Not yet. Making love to Marlene meant a lot to Yuji and he supposed it had a lot to do with the time he had grown up in. He wanted to keep things from the past with him and not simply discard them.

He knew he had done the right thing by leaving though. He could not bare the thought of putting Marlene in anymore danger. Every death seemed to be his fault. And for what? The Blue are still here and The humans are still losing the battle. If only he could control the B Cells that were in his body, he knew he could save Earth. He had to.

Since Seno Miyagi had told them about the Migration in South America and the Newly evolved Blue in the Deep tunnels underground, there hadn’t been many sightings. Though it seemed like they popped up randomly, Yuji knew there was a reason behind it all. Every Blue He had fought since then he had trouble finding it’s core. He had an inkling of what they were doing and he had to better himself before they did.

Yuji pressed forward and scanned the landscape before him. He was now in Baikonur, near the base that Dice had Dropped him and Marlene off a year or more before. He had taken a aircraft carrier and many supplies and weapons with him, including the Mech Suit when he had left The others in South America. He had to admit, it was a lonely life, but well worth it to keep Marlene alive.

Besides his curiosity of wanting to know weather Elaina and Dice were Alive, the Blue were more or less the ones who brought him out here. It seemed like the closer he got to Russia, the more Blue there were. He started to think maybe the “Mass Migration” was more than just a random act of the Earth. Maybe it was a distraction of some sort? The Blue did seem to be getting smarter and smarter and they evolved in such a short time for god sakes.

Yeah, He knew something big was about to happen. He just didn’t know what yet. He just knew that before that happened he wanted to see Marlene again. Once I find out what’s going on here then I will go back to South America and see you again Marlene. I miss you so damn much! I just need to make sure you’ll be safe when I do come back. He hoped it wouldn’t take long to figure out what was going on around here.
