It was a new time and a new place. She had grown up a lot. She was beautiful, her long reddish brown hair elegantly flowed down her back. She was petite but with a lot of new curves. Her blue eyes were closed shut, blocked by thick black eyelashes. He studied her face, her delicate features and full lips. He wondered what they tasted like. He watched her provocative body sway and move to the blaring music. He could see her but she couldn’t see him. She was in some distant place. The music, the people, and the false love it created. He had always watched her, protected her, and loved her secretly. He continued to watch her and the way that she moved. He knew that before she had wanted him to be her boyfriend, her lover, and maybe even her husband. He pushed her away because he knew he was a monster. But perhaps she never saw him as a monster but only for what he could have been.
