Episode Three: Sakura's Love
Authors Note: Hey everyone, Well, well, well, two chapters in less than two days. Everything comes mostly full circle this chapter. And lastly seeing as how I forgot a disclaimer last chapter, here's one now:
I do not own any of the characters mentioned in this fic except for William. This story is a complete work of fiction and therefore I make no profit from this.
************************************************
Sakura opened her eyes to the dawn of the third day of her stay in the apartment. At first, she didn't know where she was. A quick glance answered her questions, and she sighed.
It was about this time Sakura realized her hand was soaked in a rather sticky substance. She looked at her hand, and realized she was naked. She gasped as she noticed her hand was between her nude legs.
She remembered last night, and the little self love-making she had done. She sighed, noticing that there was another stain on the bed. She'd had another fantasy, and had had a rather unexpected reaction during the night. She sighed, and proceeded to take a warm shower.
After she cleaned herself up and got some clothes on. Sakura ran down to the laundry room, and washed up her clothes and bed sheets. She carried them up to her room, and made her bed. She tidied her things, and gave the Sakura Staff a good washing.
I can't believe I did the nasty with my staff, Sakura thought. I really need to stop this. I need to tell him.
Sakura stepped out of her room, and headed for the refrigerator. She wondered what she could eat. Maybe there was some leftover pizza in the fridge.
"Good morning Sakura," Davis's voice greeted her.
Sakura bolted up and turned around to see Davis looking into her eyes. She gasped in surprise, and scratched the back of her head.
"Good morning Davis," she said vainly.
"Why did you wash your sheets so early?" he asked.
Sakura was thunderstruck. He'd seen her!? Her life was over if she told him about her fantasies.
"I mean, nobody ever goes to wash their sheets that early in the morning," Davis said. "Unless, of course…"
Sakura blushed. Davis's eyes went wide, and he stuttered.
"WON'T GO THERE!" he yelped.
Sakura's mind laughed in relief. Well, he'd gotten a vague idea, but not the worst of it. She sighed, and looked into his dark brown eyes. She was instantly overcome with feelings. She had to tell him.
"Uh, Davis…" she asked.
"Yeah, Sakura?" he replied.
"There's something I need to tell you," she said.
Davis started to fidget with his thumbs. Sakura knew she'd hit a nerve, and giggled nervously. She nudged herself closer to him, and held his hands.
"Davis… I have to admit something to you…" she stuttered.
"Yeah?" Davis asked, shuddering slightly.
"Davis…" Sakura said, "I… I… well, I think I… I'm…"
"Good morning you two," Duo's voice said.
Sakura and Davis face faulted on the spot. Sakura groaned, and stood up swiftly.
"DUO!!!" she yelled. "What'd you do that for!?"
"Chill out babe!" Duo said. "I didn't realize I was ruining the moment!"
"Well you were!" Sakura yelled. "Now I feel completely embarrassed!"
"What moment?" Davis asked stupidly. He winked at Sakura, who smiled gratefully at his deception. "I didn't notice anything."
"Whatever," Duo replied. "Get some breakfast. Today we're doing some major shopping."
"Why?" Davis asked.
"Because, this place is running out of food," Duo said. "I don't like my tenants starving."
"Sounds great!" Sakura said. "I can get new clothes and some books!"
"I dunno…" Davis said. "Something's nagging me about this idea."
"Oh, forget your nags!" Duo said. "Hey William! You almost ready?"
William's voice grunted in response as his tired, blue haired form walked from his bedroom. Sakura laughed, and William grunted again.
"Oh quit whining!" Vegeta yelled. "I'm trying to get some sleep before we go!"
Sakura and her new friends walked up to the entrance of the giant super market/mall. It was rather large, and Sakura felt like she was in heaven.
Davis, Duo, William and Vegeta sulked their way behind her happy, jumping form. They just couldn't see what the big thing was.
"If she yips again," Duo said, "I'm gonna crack."
"If she goes crazy over window shopping again I'll go nuts," William said.
"If she mentions how good something would be for Bulma I'll use Final Flash on myself," Vegeta groaned.
"Forget all that!" Davis said. "If she looks at me like I'm her boyfriend again, I?m gonna strangle myself with a piece of rope and stab my jugular."
Sakura could hear them all whining, but she didn?t care. She was so happy. She wanted to buy everything! But there was one place she really wanted to go.
Sakura walked into the book store, and smiled at all the titles that were there. She couldn't believe that all this was here. She just wanted to sit down and read everything.
"Hey Sakura!" two familiar voices called.
"Tory! Julian!" Sakura responded, waving at her brother and his best friend.
"What's up, squirt?" Tory asked, ruffling Sakura's hair.
"Nothing much," Sakura said. "How's Kero, Julian?"
"I'm fine!" Kero's voice yelled. Sakura looked up to see Kero perched on top of a bookstand.
"I'm glad," Sakura said, waving at her old friend.
"Sakura," Tory asked, "what are you doing here?"
"I wanted some books," she replied simply, "what's so wrong with that?"
"Nothing," Tory said.
"He watched you walk in with all those guys," Julian said. "He especially likes the spiky brown headed one."
Sakura smiled at Julian. "I do, too," she replied.
Julian sighed, and handed Tory twenty bucks. "I hate it when you're right," Julian said.
Sakura laughed. She looked at the stairs, and smiled at her brother and his friend. "I'm gonna go find some books, kay?"
"See ya later, squirt," Tory said, laughing.
Davis sighed. Duo looked at him strangely. He'd seen this look on Heero's face when he and Relena were together.
"Okay," Duo said, "who is it?"
"Huh?" Davis replied.
"Who've you got the hots for?" Duo asked. Nobody else was with them, as Vegeta and William had gone of to get things. "I can tell, you know."
Davis blushed. "Sakura."
"Ouch," Duo flinched, "you're working her that fast?"
"I'm not doing anything," Davis said. "My mind is."
"That's gonna do a number on your laundry bill," Duo said.
"I know," Davis replied, "but there's nothing I can do about it."
"Tell her," Duo said. "Tell her how you feel."
"I can't," Davis said, sulking his head. "I did that for Kari, and look where it got me!"
"But this is your chance to fix that!" Duo said. "If you tell Sakura, you might find she feels the same way about you!"
"You really think so?" Davis asked.
"It works for everyone I know," Duo said. "Everyone but me. But that's because I've never been in love."
Davis smiled. "I'll do it," Davis said. "Thanks, Duo!" He ran off to find Sakura.
"God help that kid," Duo said.
Sakura had been searching the book store thoroughly, and she finally managed to get a
fair amount of adventure and mystery books for her stay at the apartment. She huddled all the books to her chest so she wouldn't drop them, and stepped forward into the line.
"Hey there again, Sakura," Julian said.
"I'm done," Sakura said. She handed Julian all her books, and smiled.
Julian ran all the books through the scanner, but stopped when he picked up a certain one. He looked at Sakura, tilting his glasses to see if he was reading properly.
"Everything About Sex?" Julian asked. "Are you sure you bought this, Sakura?"
Sakura nodded nervously. "Yeah," she replied.
Julian smiled. "It's the brown headed boy, isn't it?" he asked.
"It's not like I plan to go that fast," Sakura said, "it's just…"
"You're hopeful?" Julian asked.
Sakura nodded. "Very hopeful," she replied.
"Please tell me it isn't anything like Lee," Julian begged.
"Worse," Sakura told him. His eyes widened.
"I don't know if that's a physical possibility," Julian said. "Okay, your total is sixty-nine eighty two."
"Thanks Julian!" Sakura said, running off. "I'll see you later!"
Julian shook his head. "That girl needs help, Kero," he said.
"I dunno…" Kero said. "I think that brown headed kid's perfect for her."
"This coming from the guy who said Lee was perfect for her," Julian mocked.
Kero sweatdropped. "This is different! I know that Sakura really likes him, and that he likes her back," Kero said.
"I hope you're right," Julian said. "Or Sakura just wasted twenty bucks."
"Get away from me!" Davis's voice echoed through the mall.
Sakura heard that voice. It could only be Davis, the boy who had consumed her thoughts all these days. She ran as quickly towards the voice as she could.
When she got there, her books dangling in a plastic bag, she saw Davis growling at four people. Sakura remembered the young brunette female was called Kari, and the blond boy was called T.K. But the chestnut headed thirteen year old and the lavender haired female were new to her.
"Come on Davis!" the lavender haired girl yelled. She pushed her glasses up a bit. "You're not making any sense!"
"I told you I'm not coming with you!" Davis yelled back. "You didn't seem to care when I told you I was leaving!"
"That's because we didn't believe you," the chestnut haired boy said.
"Davis, what's going on?" Sakura asked.
Everyone's attention routed itself to Sakura. They looked at her confusedly, like she
shouldn't be here or at least know Davis.
"Who the heck are you?" T.K. asked.
"My name's Sakura," Sakura replied.
"How do you know Davis?" the lavender headed girl asked angrily.
"That's for me to know and you to find out," Sakura yelled. "Now, who are these people?"
"You know T.K. and Kari," Davis said. "The little guy is Cody and the blabbermouth is Yolei."
"Blabbermouth!?" Yolei yelled. "I?ll rip your head off for that!"
"You won't touch him!" Sakura yelled. "You'll regret it, trust me!"
Kari looked at Yolei with eyes only the two of them could understand. It was like a strange way of communication. Only Kari and Sakura could understand what they were talking about.
"Fine," Kari said. "We'll leave you alone."
Everyone looked at Kari like she'd signed her own death wish. They reluctantly sighed, and followed her out of the mall.
"That was easy," Davis sighed. "I thought it would take forever to get rid of them."
"Well, two girls can have a surprising affect on one another," Sakura said.
"But I thought you were a young lady?" Davis joked.
Sakura laughed. She liked him so much, for many reasons other people missed. She was going to tell him today. That was a promise.
"So there you are," a chilling voice said. "I've been searching all day."
Sakura and Davis turned around to see Akara perched on top of a fruit stand. She laughed evilly, then hopped off.
"You two certainly have picked a nice spot to roam in," Akara said. "This place would make a nice explosion."
"What the hell are you planning this time?" Davis asked.
"Nothing much," Akara said. "Just my ultimate revenge. You see, if I destroy this mall, your friends will come back. Then I?ll destroy them, and the Digital World is mine!"
"I don't think so," Davis said. His body flared blue with the energy flame. Akara laughed as Sakura joined in.
"You're attempting to stop me?" Akara laughed. She fired a bolt of lightning at them, sending them flying towards the wall. They landed with a thud, and groaned.
"That's as far as you go," William's voice echoed.
Akara turned around to see William sending a bolt of fire at her. She barely had time to bat it aside, and it burned her elbow.
"That hurt you little prick!" she yelled.
"This will hurt even more!" Vegeta's voice called to her.
A yellow blast of energy hit Akara's body, and she flew into the nearest grocery store. She screamed, landing in a section of chips.
"Well, at least she'll always be fresh," Vegeta said.
"You'll pay for that!" Akara yelled, trying to get out of all the bags.
"What did I miss?" Duo asked, running towards the action.
"Nothing much," Vegeta said. "Akara showed up and beat Sakura and Davis up."
"Are you two okay?" William asked Sakura and Davis.
"Besides being hit with thunder?" Davis asked.
"Fine," Sakura replied.
"I'll get you for that you monkey!" Akara yelled, finally releasing herself from the chips.
"Monkey!?" Vegeta yelled. He glowed a sick white color as the flame surrounded him. "You'll pay for that!"
Vegeta fired off several orbs of yellow energy at Akara. They hit her hard, exploding on impact. They heard her tell-tale scream, and laughed.
"Beaten so easily!" she yelled. "I'll get you next time!"
They could feel the energy expel from her point of exit. They all sighed, and returned to being normal people.
"What was that?" a voice said.
Davis turned, and groaned. "Ken, what are you and Wormon doing here?"
"We were getting food," Ken said.
"Until that witch showed up," Wormon said. "I really hate her."
"Wait a minute!" Sakura yelped. "You know her?"
"She's very popular in the Digital World these days," Ken said. "She has been tearing it apart."
"I'm sorry I haven't been there to help you," Davis said.
"That's okay Davis," Ken said. "I respect that you need your space. I won't bother you if you don't want me to."
He bent over and whispered into Davis's ear. "She's pretty cute, Davis. You're lucky."
"Thanks buddy," Davis said, returning to Sakura and his friends. Ken and Wormon
walked off.
"That was close," Sakura said.
"I'll say," Davis replied, "she almost had us there."
"Well at least we have food," Duo said.
"A lot good it'll do us," Vegeta said. "She'll be back. And next time she'll definitely be more willing to kill us."
"Well, all we can do now is wait," William said. "I say we go home."
"I think you speak for all of us!" Sakura chirped. "Let's go!"
The tenants of Apartment 301 all entered at the same time. Some were tired. Some were weak. Some were just plain bored.
But one of them was intent.
"Davis, would you mind looking at the sunset with me?" Sakura asked.
Everyone stopped. They looked at Sakura like she'd just signed her own death.
"What?" Sakura asked.
"I'm fine with it," Davis said. "When?"
"Well… " Sakura said, looking out the window, "at this rate, let's say right now?"
"I'm game," Davis said.
Sakura grabbed him by the wrist and pulled him to the elevator. Everyone else sighed.
"They work this too fast," Duo sighed.
"Tell me about it," Vegeta said, "I thought they were gonna make out at the mall."
"Let's hope they don't decide to do it on the roof," William said.
It was one of the most gorgeous sunsets Sakura had ever seen. She bathed in the orange red glow, getting all of the energy her face would allow. She twirled once, giggling at her fortunate luck.
"Are you gonna spin all day or watch the sun set?" Davis asked.
"Sorry," Sakura said, scratching the back of her head.
She sat down on the edge of the roof, almost right beside Davis. It took a few minutes for Sakura to summon the courage to inch closer to him.
"It's so beautiful, isn't it?" she asked, inching slightly closer to him.
"Sakura," Davis breathed, "I'm getting the feeling this has more to do with me than just the bloody sunset. Not that it isn?t gorgeous."
"Well, you're sorta right," Sakura said. "You see Davis…"
Davis let Sakura slip her hand around his waist. It was almost as if he expected this all to happen. Sakura sighed.
"What is it, Sakura?" Davis asked.
"Well, since the first day I met you, I've felt strange," Sakura admitted. "I?ve got this piece of my mind and heart that just wont let you leave. It's like you've been embedded in my mind permanently."
"I feel sort of the same thing for you, Sakura," Davis said. "I can't get you out of my head either. You're even in my dreams."
Sakura's heart almost stopped. The dreams were about me!!!
"Davis…" Sakura said quietly, "I've rarely felt this way towards other people. You make me feel whole. Davis, I…"
Davis put his hands around her as well. Sakura rested her head on his shoulder, and sighed deeply as she took in the courage to speak.
"I love you, Davis," she said, finally getting the huge weight off her chest.
Davis look stupefied. But he smiled, and nudged closer to her. "I love you too, Sakura," he admitted.
The two of them looked deeply into each others eyes, then bent their heads down to share a kiss. This not being her first, Sakura went all out, forcing her tongue in a letting it battle his un-trained one. Davis coughed a few times, and Sakura took her tongue out.
"Whoa!" Davis yelped. "Where ya' going there!?"
"This isn't your first kiss, is it?" she asked.
"Sorta…" Davis blushed.
"Sorry," Sakura apologized.
Sakura bent her head closer to his, and simply let her lips meet his. There was a tiny moan from Sakura's direction, and Davis slid his hands further around her waist. They shared that kiss for most of the night, breathing through their noses and mouths. They started to make out, and fell back onto the roof.
"They are definitely going at this way too quickly," Ken said, watching them from the shadows.
"I'd like to go that fast," Wormon said.
"You'd like to go anywhere," Ken mocked.
"When can I get outta here!?" a voice yelled from Ken's duffel bag.
"Not yet!" Ken yelled in a hoarse whisper.
But the duffel bag opened with a horrendous zipping sound, and whatever was in there rushed towards the two making out.
"Oh damn…" Ken moaned.
"DAVIS!!!" the little figure yelled.
"DEMIVEEMON!?" Davis yelped. The little creature ran up to Davis, and latched itself onto his chest, hugging him for all he was worth.
"Davis! What's up?" DemiVeemon's cute voice said.
"W-w-w-w-well…." Davis stuttered.
"Sorry about all this," Ken said from the other side of the roof. "We wanted to drop him off to say hello, but we didn't think he'd rush you while you were… uh…."
"What were you up to!?" DemiVeemon asked more demandingly.
"He's so CUTE!!!" Sakura said. She grabbed DemiVeemon and started to cuddle him.
"I like her," DemiVeemon said.
"Apparently so do I," Davis said, laughing.
"Don't get him wrong," Sakura said. "I like him a lot too."
"Do you love him?" DemiVeemon asked.
Everything stopped. Sakura stopped cuddling. Davis stopped laughing. They all stared at DemiVeemon as if he had said the only word in the English language that was evil beyond comprehension. They stared some more at the in-training Digimon.
"What?" DemiVeemon asked. "Look, I can feel these kinda things. Do you love him, or not?"
Sakura blushed. "Yeah…" she replied.
"YAY!!!!!!" DemiVeemon yelled. "Davis got a girlfriend! Davis got a girlfriend! Davis got a girlfriend!"
"Would you mind yelling louder?" Davis asked. "I think some penguins in the South Pole didn't hear you!"
"I wouldn't mind if everyone heard," Sakura said. She took his head into her hands and kissed him again.
DemiVeemon stopped. "Yowza!!!" he replied simply.
"They were making out before," Ken said. DemiVeemon looked at him strangely.
"That would've been a sight," DemiVeemon sighed.
Sakura and Davis broke their kiss, and Sakura picked DemiVeemon up for another snuggle. Davis laughed.
"How long are you staying, buddy?" Davis asked.
"Not long," DemiVeemon answered. "Though at this rate I?ll need a crowbar to get outta here."
Davis laughed again. He tapped Sakura on the shoulder, and she looked at him. He motioned to DemiVeemon, and she let him go.
"Sakura, why do I get the feeling Ken and Wormon weren't the only ones spying on us?" he said, pointing to the slightly opened door to the roof.
The two nodded, and slowly walked towards the door. They could hear whispering from inside.
"Shove over!" one of them said.
"You take up too much room!" another yipped.
"Oh the both of you are completely incompetent!" the final one yelled in a hoarse whisper.
Davis and Sakura nodded, and opened the door. There was a flood of yells as Duo, William and even Vegeta fell out. Davis and Sakura sweatdropped and laughed.
"What were all of you doing in there?" Davis asked.
"We were spying on you," Duo replied.
"Until you so graciously opened the door," Vegeta scoffed. "Now we're in a tangled mess!"
"Help me! I'm being crushed!" William yelled.
"I guess this ruins the surprise," Sakura said.
"I think it does," Davis admitted.
"No really," Ken said. "By the way, that Akara person?"
"Yes?" Davis replied.
"Be careful around her," Ken said seriously. "She has very strange powers. She was well on her way to beating the crap out of WarGreymon."
Davis flinched. "Can she really do that?" he asked.
"She could," Ken replied. "I?m glad that you're training in the Ki arts, but still be careful. Just because you have your own strengths plus the powers of Ki, doesn?t mean that Akara will be any easier a foe."
"Who do you think I am?" Davis asked. "Tai?"
"Much worse," Ken replied, rubbing his forehead. "Much worse."
Davis playfully punched Ken on the shoulder. Ken laughed, but looked at him seriously again.
"What about Kari?" he asked.
"What about her?" Davis replied. "I've given up on her now. She isn't even my friend anymore."
"Davis…" Ken said. "You shouldn't say that…"
"No," Davis said sternly. "She isn't. She broke her promise to me, and that's that. If she wants to be my friend, she has to earn it."
"Davis…." Ken said.
Davis looked at Ken sympathetically. There was a secret Ken had that no other person knew. Sure, he was in love with Yolei now, but he'd had a mad crush on Kari ever since the first day they'd met.
"Look buddy," Davis said, "I really don't care about her anymore. And why should I when I've got Sakura?"
Davis grabbed Sakura by the waist, and kissed her. Everyone laughed symphonically. But one laugh stood out. It was evil and psychotic.
"Damnit! She just won?t leave us alone!" Duo yelled.
Akara floated on the next rooftop, laughing evilly. She looked at all the gathered people,
and smirked.
"Good for you," Akara laughed. "You're only together three days and it already happened."
"Good for you, too," Sakura yelled.
"Get away or I'll pumped you full of Ki," Davis threatened.
"I'm so scared," Akara said.
Davis scowled, but started to glow blue. He fired off several white blasts of energy, which Akara never expected, and she got hit about five times. She growled, and sneered evilly at Davis.
"You will pay for that, child!" Akara yelled.
"I wouldn't if I were you," Vegeta warned.
Akara took no heed to Vegeta's warning, and simply started to gather ice in her palms. Vegeta growled, and started to glow white. He yelled, and started to launch what seemed like hundreds of yellow energy waves. They all connected with Akara, but all they heard from the explosions were cries of pain, rather than death.
"You think that your pathetic attacks can phase me?" Akara yelled.
"Don't make me go all out," Vegeta warned her again. "You'll regret it."
"I highly doubt that," Akara scoffed, as she charged lightning in her hands.
Suddenly, a very large mechanical robot that looked similar to a humans shape, only about twenty times larger and made of machinery, rose behind Akara. It was indescribable, except for it's black color, and it's giant, electric scythe.
"Hi guys!" Duo said from the cockpit of Deathscythe. "I was wondering if I should lend a hand."
Akara screamed as the energy scythe came down, slicing a lock of her hair off. She growled, and fired a bolt of lightning at it. It bounced off, and Akara growled.
"That thing is awesome," Davis said. "That's gotta be Deathscythe!"
"I don't doubt it," Vegeta said. He charged another yellow ball of energy in his hand, and tossed it at Akara. It got her in the back, and exploded. The dust cleared, and she was still standing, but gasping for air.
"Twice in one day," Duo laughed. "You sure you haven't had enough of us winning yet?"
"My time will come, Gundam," she hissed. "But for now, I will run!"
Akara sent out waves of green smoke at everyone. They covered their mouths, afraid of its effects. When it cleared, Akara was gone.
"Damnit!" Duo yelled, slamming his hand onto the dashboard of Deathscythe. "She got away!"
"That's okay," Sakura said. "I don't think she would've let you get away with slicing her hair."
Duo couldn't help but giggle a little. "So, you two are together, huh?" Duo asked Sakura.
Sakura slipped her hand around Davis's waist. "Yep," Sakura said.
"We'd best be going," Ken said. "Come along, Wormon. Come on, DemiVeemon."
"See ya Davis!" DemiVeemon said, walking off with Wormon and Ken.
Sakura smiled, then slammed her lips into Davis?s. They started to make out, and everyone sweatdropped.
"This is embarrassing," Duo said. Deathscythe scratched the back of its head, and everyone started to laugh.
Everyone that was, except Akara.
"They're good," Akara said. "Very good. But my time will come. It only takes a few minions to do your job for you."
She disappeared, laughing psychotically.
A/N: Well everyone, hope that wasn't too bad. But unfortunately, I think writers block should set in any day now, but here's hoping it doesn't. Anyway, please read and review. Thanks.
