[ P - Pre-Teen ]

ForeverDestiny: Welcome to Chapter 1 of Thoroughly Confused. It is dedicated to Myst_Lady for giving me my first review! YAY!

* Kelly pops in room *

Kelly: Hi all!

ForeverDestiny: * Groan * Kells, whatcha doing here?

Kelly: Shelly called. Something about reinforcements.

FD: * Glares at Shelly * Okay, then you and Shelly can make sure my muses are tied tightly. I don't want them escaping and hurting me. I can then tell these nice people the `real' authoress's notes.

Kells and Shells: * Nod and drag Li, Misty, and Wizardmon, tied up, to the corner of the room. *

FD: Where was I? Oh yes. First of all, I don't own Digimon, CCS, or Poke'mon, although when you wi- what am I talking about? I'll never own them! Sad. And another sad thing, I've only seen the dubbed CCS or, as it would be over here in America, CC. So, even though I know the real names, I'm using dubbed. Bwahaha!

Li: Get on with it!

FD: Tighten his gag! And, hehe, ON With Chapter One, The Departure!

Thoroughly Confused

Chapter One

The Departure

I walked down the street with TK, laughing at the jokes he made but really just enjoying my time with him. He was really quite cute. I hadn't noticed it before; he had been my best friend for so long, that that was all I saw him as. But, my mind told me, you want him to be more. I must have had a strange look on my face because soon I heard his voice.

"Kari? You okay? Maybe you should go home." He was genuinely concerned. I snapped out of it and gave him one of my best smiles.

"Nah, I'm fine. Let's go get some pizza!" I took off racing down the street toward the pizza shop where we were all meeting. <FD: What is it with me and pizza joints? O.O> I heard him take off after me, laughing. He soon gained on me and then passed me. Of course it was all the basketball he played. He waited for me outside the door to Small Town Pizza. I was really hungry and hoped the others had already ordered so I could just eat some of their food while waiting for my own. I slid into a seat next to Tai and TK sat down next to me. I looked down the line: TK, me, Tai, Sora, Mimi, Joe, Izzy, Matt, Yolei, Ken, Cody, and Davis.

"Hey TS! What were you doing with my girl? Kari, why aren't you sitting with me?" TK sighed. Davis was really getting annoying the past few weeks. I don't know but something about him was rubbing me the wrong way. I had put up with him since we were twelve, no earlier, so why was he annoying me now, four or five years after? I had no clue and neither, apparently, did anyone else.

"For the last time, Davis, it's TK, not TS, not TV, not TZ, not TH, TK!" He seemed to be getting on TK's nerves as well. Why else would TK give him a lesson in spelling? I was quietly laughing when I heard it. A strange humming, swirling kind of sound that seemed like it was coming from somewhere nearby. TK noticed it too because he started to glance around the room, probably looking for the source of the sound. I looked around too. The others gave us weird looks.

"Kari, whatcha doing?" Tai asked me.

"Looking for where the sound is coming from. Can't you hear it?" I answered.

"Yeah, Tai. Where is it coming from?" TK added. Everyone stared at us.

"What noise?" That was Joe. I was about to answer when my voice was silenced by a loud thunder and booming laugh that seemed to shake me to my bones. It was followed by an equally booming voice.

"Takeru Taikashi, Hikari Yagami, you have been summoned. You will leave immediately!" With that the voice cut off. I looked at everyone who looked as shocked as I must have.

"Wonder what that was-" I was cut off by the fact that TK and I vanished.

I was bored. Really, really bored. I had practiced with my baton earlier but that gets boring really fast. And to make matters worse, my thoughts kept turning to him. It was kind of depressing that six years later, I still could only think of him. <FD: I haven't seen the movies either> Madison called soon and invited me over to try on some new outfits and I accepted. There was nothing else to do. Kero decided to come too, as he was just about as bored as I was.

I put on my blades and skated towards Madison's house. I kept thinking about him though. Something was up; I could sense it. Sure I thought about him a lot, but not this much. Something was going on, was it Eli? No, it wouldn't be him. Clow Reed? No, not him either. I mean, hehe, if it wasn't Eli, it couldn't be Clow Reed, right? Still thinking, I rolled into Madison's driveway. I quickly took them off and made my way towards Madison's room. Ten minutes later, we sat in her room, talking about it.

"Could it be that you just really miss him?" Madison suggested. She blushed. "Sometimes I just get days were all I can think of is Eli." Sakura shook her head.

"No, it's something else. Something isn't letting Li out of my head." She frowned. "But what could it be?" Kero popped out of her backpack.

"Well, I don't sense anything. I don't know why you would be thinking of that baka gaki anyway."

"KERO!" <FD: I did pick up something reading CCS fanfic, though. ^.^> He shrugged. "Well, I don't."

"That wasn't nice, Kero!" I was about to say something else when I heard a clap of thunder and a booming laugh. <FD: ooh, who could it be? > Soon they heard a booming voice as well.

"Sakura Avalon, Li Syaoran, you have been summoned! You will leave immediately!" This greatly surprised Sakura.

"I wonder what he meant by Li-" I was cut off by vanishing. Little did I know that in Hong Kong, a boy by the name of Li Syaoran heard the same voice and disappeared at the same time.

I was walking through the woods with a boy I didn't like that much. Did life get better? Okay, so he isn't all that bad. I even suspected I might have a small crush on him. Did I say that?!?! I mean, he's a nice person. Smooth Misty. I grimaced.

"Misty, something up?" It was he. I flashed him a grin and spoke in my pretty, slightly high-pitched voice.

"Nah, Ash. I'm just tired. Can we stop?" We did. It seemed they wanted to stop about as much as I did, they just didn't say anything. We sat in a nearby clearing. I sighed and started to play with Togepi. The little thing smiled and went over to play with Pikachu. I reached into my backpack and took out something to eat. I started munching when I heard it. A weird sort-of swirling sound. I looked around to find it's source and Ash did the same. Brock gave us strange looks.

"Guys? What are you doing?" I shrugged.

"Looking to see where that strange sound came from." It was getting louder and was soon accompanied by a crack of thunder and what sounded like a booming laugh. I gasped. Then a booming voice broke the clouds.

"Ash Ketchum, Misty Waterflower, you have been summoned. You will leave immediately!" I was scared. Ash wasn't though.

"Okay Team Rocket, where are y-" At that time, we both vanished.

I smiled. Stage One Complete. Prepare Stage Two. Goodie! I mean, well, things seem to be going according to plan. My dimensional spies couldn't see me acting like the normal person I was. No, I was their master. Time to prepare my helpers for Stage Two.

To Be Continued.

FD: So, what did ya think? Told ya it would be longer than the prologue! Eager for reviews! ^__^ What did you think, Kells? Shells? * Silence * Kelly? Shelly? * Silence. Turns around to find Kelly and Shelly tied up in the corner and Misty, Wizardmon, and Li advancing on her * Review! And this is your authoress saying Goodbye and have a pleasant tomorrow!
