ForeverDestiny: Welcome back! Chapter two is up today! I'm trying to beat the deadline b4 camp and this chapter is my fav! During the break my friend Sarah popped up * Sarah waves * and when you have three murderous muses, it's nice to have three guards. So, let me assign guarding duties. Sarah, since you know nothing of anime, you got Misty. Shelly, who also knows nothing, you got Wizardmon. Kells, who knows a little something, you got Li (he's the hardest). * They nod and stand in front of their charges. The muses are bound hand and foot and are gagged. * Bwahaha! Um, I don't own Digimon, CCS, or Poke'mon. ;_; On with Chapter Two!

Chapter Two

The Meeting

I pulled myself into a sitting position slowly. I had landed painfully on my stomach. I had done a belly flop into the sand when I had fallen from the sky and I was still feeling the after-effects. When my head decided to stop spinning, I took a good look at my surroundings. This was some sort of desert area. Well, it was a desert. Turning fully around, I noticed a pair of legs sticking out of the ground. I rushed to help Kari out. She went through the same period of dizziness I had. Although I'm pretty sure I didn't look as kawaii as she did. Stop it, TK! Don't fall for your best friend! She looked up and gave me a dazzling smile.

"Well, that was fun," she said sarcastically. I couldn't help grinning. She looked at me as if thinking. "Hey TK, any evil digimon after the two of us that you know of?" I shook my head.

"I think there was one last week, but I'm pretty sure a digidestined in Oregon, USA beat it. It's kind of getting annoying." She nodded. It was then that I noticed what we were wearing. "Hey Kari, look!" I pointed to myself. I was in my bucket hat, yellow and blue shirt, and green shorts. I hadn't worn that in years! She was in her digiworld uniform too. She wore her sleeveless pink and white shirt, pink gloves, yellow shorts, and her camera was around her neck. She gasped.

"TK, what happened?" I was about to say that I had no idea when I heard shriek that alerted us that we weren't alone. To our right, where the shriek had originated was a boy with scruffy-brown hair and a girl with auburn hair. She was the one that had yelled but it was a shriek of joy, not of pain or fear. To our left, were another pair, boy and girl. The girl was a redhead and the boy had black hair stuffed under a baseball cap. Both pairs were about our age. I looked at Kari, she nodded, and we both started toward the group to our right.

~***~ 10 minutes ago, with a different pair

I looked around. What had Team Rocket done this time? This was way advanced, even for them. Maybe they had harnessed an Abra and used teleport? Too dizzy to think for the moment, I sat down in the sand. It was then that I noticed Misty sitting next to me.

"Nice mess we've gotten ourselves into, Ash. We're alone, in the desert, without our poke'mon." I noticed that she was right. Togepi wasn't there and neither was Pikachu. I was about to call for him when she put her hand on my shoulder.

"It's no use. I woke up before you and I looked around for them. They aren't here." She saw the look on my face. "And I don't know where they are. They're probably still with Brock." I nodded. "Oh, and we're not alone." This made me look up. About 50 feet from us was a boy and girl. The boy was blonde and the girl had extremely straight brown hair. About 50 feet down from them was another pair of a boy and girl. The boy had scruffy brown hair and the girl had auburn hair. As I watched, the girl shrieked and threw her arms around the boy in a giant embrace. I smiled. Misty did too.

"Want to see what's up?" I asked. She nodded and we headed towards the second pair, as the first was making their way towards them too.

~***~ 10 minutes ag- oh, figure it out for yourself!

I rubbed the back of my head where I was just sure that I had a bump. I was thinking about what had happened. One minute I was reading a book (well, trying to while thinking of her) and the next minute I was in the middle of the desert. From my vantage point on a sand dune, I could see two pairs of boy and girl down about 50-100 feet away from me. The first pair was getting up out of the sand. The second pair was looking around, as if missing something. Then I remembered what the voice had said. Sakura Avalon, Li Syaoran, you have been summoned. You will leave immediately. Did that mean? My thoughts were interrupted by a small groan from behind me. I grinned and turned around. There she was, the most wonderful person I had ever known. I reached out my hand and she took it, but her eyes were still closed. She rubbed her head.

"Thanks, Mister," she mumbled. She took a look at me, and closed her eyes, which then flew back open. "Li?" she whispered. I nodded. "LI!" she shrieked and embraced me in a giant bear hug. I could feel myself blush red as a tomato. Vaguely, I noticed the shriek get the attention of the other two pairs. Were they friends or enemies?

"Sakura, I missed you too but right now might not be the best time." She looked up at me and smiled a little sheepishly. She (regretfully) removed her arms from around me and stood a little bit behind me from the other pairs. I automatically reached for my sword and noticed it wasn't there. Damn! Sakura reached for her Clow Key but it was missing too. It was then I noticed our outfits. I was in my old cardcaptoring outfit and she was in one from before I got to Japan, the one she caught the shadow card with. <FD: Ya know, the red cloak> Madison had showed me it a while ago. She called it a pre-Li outfit. I figured it was because it was before I got to Japan (real reason: After Li got their, Madison thought they'd make such a kawaii couple that she made all of Sakura's outfits flirtier after that. Hehe ^.^). The blonde boy greeted me. I noticed that the brunette hid behind him like Sakura was hiding behind me.

"Um, hello. You wouldn't perhaps know what we're doing here or where here is, would you?" I shook my head. "Well, dang it. We can't be in the digiworld cause I've been in the Digidesert and this ain't the Digidesert." I had no idea what he meant but the girl must have because she shook her head in agreement. "Oh, by the way, hi! I'm TK and this is Kari." The brunette waved. "Who are you?" I didn't say anything, just glared at them, suspicious. They gave me weird looks. Sakura elbowed me.

"Oh Li, you're too suspicious sometimes. I'm Sakura and this worrywart over here is Li." Sakura giggled and I went slightly red. Kari started to giggle a bit too but I didn't stand down. I continued to glare. It was then that the other two got over. The girl started talking.

"Hi all! I'm Misty, this is Ash" she pointed to the guy "and does anyone know where we are?" We all shook our heads. Sakura pointed to all of us. "TK, Kari, Li, and me, Sakura. Nice to meet you Ash and Misty." Ash spoke up. "Are you guys missing anything? Cause my poke'mon are gone." I had no idea what a poke'mon was but I wasn't going to say if I were missing a weapon. TK looked down at his side, then Kari's, and I noticed while he looked at Kari his face went how mine does when I look at Sakura. We're in the same boat, buddy. "Our D3's are gone!" he exclaimed. Kari looked down at her side and gasped. Sakura said, "My Clow Key is gone." I was shocked. Had I taught her nothing about fighting? She was quicker than me though. "And yes, Li, I think we can tell them because they're our new friends. So stop being so mean. And I believe that your sword's gone." I tried to glare at her but I couldn't so I glared at the others.

"So," I started, "do any of you have powers?" "Powers?" Kari asked. "Yeah, you know, like magic powers." Sakura said. "Um, sort of," was TK's reply. I sent him a confused look. "We have powers to save the world but only when we're around our digimon and they're not here." I sort of understood that. Ash and Misty looked at us as if we were crazy. "Powers? You guys have powers?" Misty asked, astounded. The four of us nodded. "I'm the Mistress of the Sakura Cards, and Li is of the, um, Li Clan and my protector. At least, he was." She sounded so sad when she said that. I was planning to move back to Japan as soon as I got the chance but I just couldn't yet. Did she miss me as much as I missed her? "Um, we can defeat bad guys and save the world with either our digimon or our special powers." TK said. Kari glared at him. "Come on, Kar, they should know." Should know what?

Kari cleared her throat. "We're part of a group of people called digidestined that protect the real world and the digital world with our digimon partners. And TK and I are the most powerful because…" she stopped, as if scared to continue. TK put a hand on her shoulder. "Because we are the, ahem, human embodiments of Light, Kari here, and Hope, me. All evil things seem to go after us because if the kill us, they kill the goodness of the world. So we're kind of used to being transported to other worlds like this." Needless to say, this left the four of us speechless. Human embodiments of Light and Hope? That's a lot to swallow but somehow, I did. Sakura spoke up next. "Li and I are the most powerful magicians on Earth." Ash and Misty looked a bit embarrassed. "We're just poke'mon trainers." For some reason I don't know, that caused a cascade of laughter from the six of us, even though four of us didn't know what poke'mon were. We were fast friends.

Time for my entrance. I snapped my fingers and appeared before them. They looked at me, confused. I smiled, though I knew they couldn't see my face, which was hidden by the cloak.

"Hello, world-savers. Good day for an adventure, ne?"

Sarah is kept quiet by the Matt plushie in her arms as Shelly is by the Kevin plushie.
