Chapter 7 "A Dream Come True"

"Kari come on we've been looking at dresses for hours!" "Stop whining Serena, just because you were able to pick out yours on the third try doesn't mean I will!" "This is your 30th dress not 3rd"! Serena & Kari had been looking for a suitable dress for their weddings all morning long. "I think I want this one!" Kari said "finally let's buy it & go, I'm starving!" complained Serena "not yet I want to give it a little touches of my own. It really needs one". "Touches, what touches? It looks good on you!" "I just want it to be perfect. This is the bride's dress we're talking about. I told the others to wear their favorite colors & my dress has to be my favorite color, pink!" "Well ok, but hurry it up we can't spend the whole day in here it's too nice outside!" "Alright alright!"
{Later that day}
"Let's go here & eat I herd the food is delicious!" Serena was happy to go out to eat her stomach had growled several times on the way over "I can't wait to eat I'm starved!" Kari was just as hungry as her mother. They ate & headed back home where Yue would be waiting for Kari. Her father was at a very important meeting with the council in the royal palace as was Darien. When they got to Kari's Serena stayed awhile to chat with Yue & Kari, then she went back home to the moon leaving the two guardians & their mistress alone. "So did you pick out a good dress?" asked a more than curious Yue "Yeah I picked out a good one alright!" "I can't wait till the wedding to see it!" Yue had a devious smirk on his face. Kari smirked back at him "Well you have to, the groom isn't aloud to see it until then!" "says who"!? "It's tradition silly!" said Kari. Yue folded his arms and pretended to be upset "tradition stinks I want to see my fiancés dress now!" "Just wait Yue. Huh?!" "What's wrong Kari"!? "I..I'm hungry again?!" "what's wrong with that, everyone but me gets hungry around here?!" Yue said sarcastically "but Yue I just ate 5 minutes ago. I can't be hungry now, I just can't!" "It's no big deal I'll fix you something!" Yue went into the kitchen to fix his future wife something to eat. Kari smiled after him 'I know he'll make a good husband' she thought.
Finally the morning of the wedding came, but disaster struck.(if you wanna call it that) Kari had gotten sick all of a sudden & Clow didn't think that it was a coincidence. There was a reason behind her sickness & he was going to find out what it was. Fortunately Kari got better & the wedding was only an hour late. All of the family & Kari's friends were there & the wedding was a huge success. The reception was the best though. When Kari threw the bouquet all the women piled on top of each other to get it. There was even some fighting in the pile the funny thing was that they all missed it & it flew over to Trista who caught it. Kari & Yue opened their presents & cut the cake. Kari would never forget that day & in a month she would be attending Darien & Serena's wedding.

Kari went to bed that night with Yue holding her tight, but when she woke up the next morning she felt a little drowsy."Kari are you feeling alright"!? asked a now concerned Yue "Y-Yes I..I oh...." she got up & ran to the bathroom. She shut the door & Yue didn't hear her until she came out again "are you sure your alright"? "Yes Yue I'm fine. I just had to throw up." "You sure don't look like it maybe-" Kari cut him off "I'm alright Yue honest!"
The next few weeks Kari always woke up looking tired & she always ran to the bathroom too "Kari maybe you should see a doctor it could be anything!" "Papa I'm fine maybe it's just the flu." "Are you sure? you don't look all that great, your kind of pale!" Clow touched her head "you don't have a feaver either, that's unusual for a flu!" "Papa I've been pale since birth remember?!" "Still I think it could be-I'll call the doctor & schedule an appointment ok?" "OK." The doctor couldn't find anything wrong with her either "well Mr. Clow it seems there is no flu, but I can take a blood sample if you wish?" "ok then" "a blood sample? no I hate needles!" "Kari your too old for that!" "no I'm not even Darien & Serena hate needles!" she whined. "Don't worry it won't hurt!" Clow was being patient with his 'baby' girl. "Papa that's what you said last time remember?!" After talking her into it the doctor took a blood sample & left.

"Kari your always eating like you've never have eaten in your life & you're eating way more than usual. Slow it down!" said a now worried to death Yue. "You worry too much honey. A girl has to eat doesn't she? I'm not eating no more than Kero!" Kari stated briskly "yeah, but-" "No buts, now can you please make me some more egg rolls?" "Sure." Yue got up & she called behind him "Can you bring me some wonton & a couple of sushi rolls too honey?!" "Ok Kari, at your service!" She giggled "thanks sweetheart!" "I mean after all you just finished off six plates of food, & your gaining weight!" Yue said aloud to himself. He knew if she had herd that he would be in trouble. Unfortunately he was, as she called to him in the kitchen "I herd that. If you think I'm fat you can just sleep in the garden tonight instead of in my bed!!" she yelled. Yue immediately apologized after he gave her some more food. He noticed she wasn't as patient as before & seemed to have an attitude most of the time along with frequent angry outbursts & a huge appetite. He was seriously worried he had done something to make her upset, but for now he would just try to stay on the little good side she had left.

A few days later the doctor came back "did you find anything"!? asked Clow anxiously, but he was sure he already knew what was wrong with Kari. "I sure did Mr.Clow & let me tell you you're going to thank me someday!" Kari, Yue, Kero, & Clow sat down in the living room to hear the news "well..."!? asked Yue impatiently "well Mr. Clow it seems as though your daughter is a very lucky lady!" they sat on the edge of their seats
"Congratulations Kari, you're 2 months 'Pregnant'!" "What!?" they all shouted in unison. Kari blushed deep red she had forgotten that she & Yue always made love without protection. "Pregnant, me, wow I love this!" she said happily. "Well it looks like we have another family member." said Kero "yes indeed" said Clow. When the doctor had finished talking to them & left. Kari asked her father "are you mad at me papa?" "no sweet heart of course not. I knew it was coming I saw it in my dreams. I just didn't believe it would come this soon." "How did we do it, I mean Yue you're not human right?" "No, I mean at least I think I'm not!" "I made him that way. I knew you two would come together & what's a family without a child. I want to be a grandfather & I'm sure Kari wanted a child. Yue has the ability to fertilize your eggs with his magic instead of sperm. Your baby was made from magic, but it's still a human being. It has a heart, lungs, a reproductive system, & It'll eat as well." Clow explained to the couple looking at him like they were embarrassed "Wow papa you're prepared for everything!" "Indeed, but there is one thing. Your children can inherit one of your magical abilities more than the other." "What!?" "I'm lost master." "For example, this one you have right now, it could've inherited more of Yue's power than yours Kari & so then you would have to provide energy for it like Yue requires energy. It would have strong powers of the moon instead of your mysterious powers." "I understand, but would it eat because if it doesn't It'll get sick won't it?!" "Maybe, maybe not. It'll depend on you your it's parents. Only you can help it survive." Kari threw her arms around Clow "Thank you papa, thank you so much. I'll be a good mother I promise!" "Me too master!" Yue jumped in. "I know you'll be baby. I know you'll be good parents".
Kari fell asleep that night dreaming about how her baby would be & look.Yue held her close & thought about how their lives were going to change after this & then he soon fell asleep.He herd Kari say "This is what I wanted. This is what I dreamed about all that time 'you' Yue 'you'."
