Card Captor Sakura Fan Fiction / Fushigi Yuugi Fan Fiction ❯ More Then Just a Butterfly Winged Vampire ❯ ~Vacations and Interuptions~ ( Chapter 1 )
(Disclaimer: Do I even need this thing? Nobody notices when it's not there. Anyway, CCS belongs to CLAMP and FY belongs to Watase Yuu. I am writing this fic for entertainment purposes only, I'm not making any profit off of it. Also, please ask before putting this on your site. Right now, it's for FF.net, TasNuri2, and CCSWFML only. Chances are, if you ask me, I'll let you put it on your site. If you steal it, then I'll yell at you until you take it off. (Trust me, I'm very persistent! I will overflow your guest book with rants if I have to...) And btw, don't even bother trying to set the timeline in the FY world. I realized once it was way too late that it's impossible. Um.... Well, let's just say they're traveling somewhere. But anyway, I think it's about time to start the fic, since I seem to have the ability to make the author's note and disclaimer longer then the fic itself. Enjoy!)
(Warnings: Shonen ai, Touya/Yuki and Tasuki/Nuriko. I might stick Nakuru with someone later on in the fic as well. Probably Hotohori or Chichiri, maybe Mitsukake. I haven't decided which one yet.)

"Yeeesss?" The creature asked in an innocent voice.
"WHAT did you do to my hair while I was sleeping?!"
Nakuru put on a pouting face, "I just styled it a little bit. And if you don't like it, then too bad! It's your own fault!"
"WHY is it my fault?"
"If you wouldn't have been irresponsibly sleeping on your job, then I wouldn't have had the opportunity to do that."
Touya sighed, trying to make his hair more presentable. He couldn't see it very well, but he started thinking that was a good thing. He felt the top of his head and felt ribbons, bows, and other girlish hair accessories. He started pulling them out, thankful to have a one hour lunch break, and felt another hand on his. He turned to see Yukito smiling at him.
"Need any help To-ya?"
Touya's scowl softened at the boys smile, "Thanks."
After about 20 minutes, Touya's hair finally looked normal, if a bit tangled. He turned to Nakuru, glaring once again.
"If you ever do something like that again, I will make you suffer so bad, you'll still feel it after your dead."
Nakuru pouted again, "You're no fun anymore! First you get rid of those delicious powers of yours, and now your sense of humor's suffering."
"I never had much of a sense of humor anyway. And besides, you probably would have stolen all my powers eventually."
"Even so, it's a waste of perfectly good powers!"
"It wasn't a waste! It saved Yuki's life, and Yue's as well."
"A lot of good that did me. If Yue would have died, it would have made my job a lot easier."
Touya sighed in frustration and turned away, "I wouldn't expect you to understand."
Nakuru looked insulted, "Hey! What's that supposed to mean?"
Touya glared in her direction again, "It means that you don't have any feelings."
Yuki put his hand on Touya's arm, "Calm down a little bit. She's just joking."
Nakuru got up from the table they were sitting at. Touya was surprised to see tears in her eyes.
"Just because I always act indifferent to everything around me doesn't mean I'm heartless! I do have feelings, just like everyone else!"
"Could have fooled me," Touya murmured.
"Nani?" She exclaimed.
"I said that it could have fooled me," He told her more firmly.
Nakuru looked in his eyes for a few seconds, then finally raised her hand and brought it down hard on his cheek.
"I hate you!!!" She shouted before running off.
"That was harsh To-ya!" Yuki scolded.
"I know," The dark haired boy sighed, "I really don't know what came over me."
Yuki smiled, "That's okay, but maybe you should go find her and apologize."
"You're right," Touya said, getting up, "Thanks Yuki."
"Don't worry about it!"
"I'll see you later then. Do you think you can tell my boss that I might be a little late getting back to work?"
"Sure! Cya!"
Touya gave his snow rabbit a quick peck on the cheek, then headed off the way Nakuru had left.

Nuriko buried his head into his pillow, trying to block out the sound of Tasuki's snoring. Finally, he couldn't take it anymore, and threw the pillow at the red haired thief.
Tasuki woke up with a start, "Wha--? What is it? Are we being attacked?"
Nuriko stifled a laugh.
"What?"
"It's just that *snicker* you... you're drooling."
"Eh?" Tasuki exclaimed, wiping off the corner of his moulth, "Oh, real mature!"
"Gomen, gomen."
"Anyway, why'd ya wake me up?"
"You were snoring," Nuriko told him, "It was keeping me up."
"Well excuse me, yer majesty," He said sarcastically, "I think I'm allowed to snore in my sleep."
"Oh, you're allowed. I just can't guaranty that you won't be woken up. Now give me back my pillow."
"Wow, wow, wow! Ya wake me up in the middle of the night jus' to tell me I'm snoring and that I've got drool on my face, threaten to wake me up every time I start snorin', and now ya expect me to give ya your pillow back?"
"Yeah."
Tasuki rolled his eyes, "How stupid do ya think I am?"
"Um... very?" Nuriko answered, a bit too cheerfully.
"Hey!" He exclaimed, throwing the pillow at Nuriko's head.
Of course, Nuriko caught it, "Thanks Tasuki-kun!"
"What? Hey! That's not fair!"
Nuriko stuck out his tongue.
Of course, neither of them noticed that their argument had woken up everyone else, and soon found every pillow in the tent being thrown at them, followed by a chorus of "Shut up!!!".
"Think we should get back to sleep?" Tasuki asked from underneath the pillows.
"I think that would be a good idea," Nuriko answered, equally buried.
"Good riddance!" Everyone shouted.

"Eriol-san!!!" Nakuru entered the house with a smile on her face, but Eriol could immediately tell that there was something wrong with her, but knew it was best not to ask. Even though she technically didn't have a gender, she still acted more like a girl then a boy, which meant that Eriol wouldn't even be able to begin understanding her problems.
"What is it, Ruby-san?" He asked, returning her smile.
"Well, um, I was wondering... " She stammered, "Um... Can we go on a trip?"
Eriol raised an eyebrow, "To where?"
"I don't care!" She shouted, a bit too loudly, "I just need to get away from this place for a while. You know, take a vacation. Relieve stress."
"That would be nice," Eriol agreed, "But it'll have to wait. I have a da... er... an important meeting on Wednesday, so unless you want to go alone--"
"That's no problem. I can fend for myself. You just enjoy your date with Tomoyo-chan."
"Okay, thanks-- hey! Wait a sec! I never said I had a date with Tomoyo-san!" He stammered, blushing.
Nakuru giggled, "Oh please. I know you've been meaning to ask her out for a while now."
"Th... That doesn't mean anything!"
Nakuru raised an eyebrow.
Eriol sighed, "Fine, I have a date with her. Now for your vacation. I have an idea."
"Oh?"
"Yes. Well, it's a bit hard to explain, but you know that there are different dimensions that exist, right?"
"Well, I guess that makes sense, why?"
"Well, I think I have enough powers to send you to one of those dimensions. Presuming you want to go, of course. I think you might find that interesting."
Nakuru blinked, "A whole new dimension? Wow, sounds exiting. I'm in!"
"Good. Now, what are you're preferences?"
"Lots of bishonen!"
Eriol sighed, "Figures... Okay, I think I know one you'd like..."
**********Konan**********
Nuriko woke up the next morning not feeling very rested. His back hurt from the uncomfortable position, and he had a headache.
He hugged his pillow tighter, trying to get as much rest as possible before Miaka woke them all up. But then he realized something. Since when were pillows so warm? If he didn't know any better, he could have sworn that it was a real person he was hugging.
He opened his eyes slowly to find out that he actually was hugging somebody. Tasuki, to be precise.
He blushed brightly when he noticed the position they were in. He had his arms wrapped around Tasuki's waist, with one of his hands going uncomfortably low. To top it off, he had one leg in between Tasuki's, and his head was resting on his chest.
His panic grew when he noticed that Tasuki was starting to wake up. He looked up to meet the bandit's amber eyes. They blinked a couple of times, then finally, they both pulled away quickly and started screaming.
Of course, their screams woke up Miaka, who started screaming as well. Soon, everyone in the tent was screaming, not really knowing what was going on.
Chiriko looked around, back and forth, trying to find out what was going on. Not seeing anything threatening, he finally decided to stop the madness himself.
"WHAT IS EVERYONE SCREAMING ABOUT?!?!?!" He yelled at the top of his lungs.
Everyone froze, starring at him.
"Wow," Tamahome said, sounding impressed, "You're pretty loud for a little guy!"
Chiriko walked up to Tamahome and stomped on his foot as hard as he could, "Don't call me little!"
"Ouch! Alright! Man, you sure aren't a morning person, are you?"
Now that everything was calmed down, Hotohori spoke up, "Chiriko-san has a point, why was everybody screaming?"
Tasuki and Nuriko blushed. The former cleared his throat, "Well, you see, it's like this..."
He started explaining how he had woken up. Once he was done, Tamahome burst into a fit of laughter, "Oh man! Poor Tasuki! Waking up to that face."
"It's not funny, Tamahome."
"Yes it is."
"Hmph!"
The argument was interrupted by a loud growl. Everyone looked towards Miaka, and she blushed brightly, "Gomen nasai, minna. Although it looks like it's breakfast time, ne?"
And so the awkward scene was forgotten by almost everybody. Mind you, Tasuki and Nuriko avoided each other for the rest of the day.
Around noon time, Nuriko told the group that he was going to buy some food and that he'd meet them at the hotel in an hour. Of course the real reason was because he wanted to be alone for a little while.
As he entered the market place, he got a strange feeling, as if someone was watching him. It was probably just some gangsters. Nothing he couldn't handle, but he decided to ignore it anyway. It wouldn't really do him much good to get into a fight.
He went up to the nearest food shop and asked for two bags of rice, but then realized that two wouldn't be enough with Miaka around, and so told the shopkeeper to get three bags instead. He looked for his money as the bags were being filled. He pulled out his wallet, but then felt a hand cover his moulth and pull him into an alleyway.
He quickly elbowed whoever had grabbed him in the stomach and bit on the hand that was on his moulth. He heard a familiar voice curse.
"Damn it Nuriko, I just wanted to talk to ya alone! Ya didn't have to hit me so hard!"
Nuriko turned and saw that his captor wasn't a gangster after all, "T.. Tasuki! Sorry about that! I thought you were a gangster."
"No shit," He grumbled, rubbing his ribs, "I think ya broke something."
Nuriko giggled. He couldn't help it, the look on Tasuki's face was priceless.
"Oh, thank you," The ex-bandit mumbled sarcastically, "Now I feel really good."
"I said I was sorry, Tasuki-kun. Now what did you want to talk to me about?"
"Well..." He blushed brightly, "Ya know this morning, when we woke up?"
This earned a blush from Nuriko as well, "Obviously. It's hard to forget something like that."
"Okay. Well, um, ya know, I was just thinking, well, do ya still, well--"
"Stop saying 'well'."
"Sorry. Anyway, as I was saying, I was wondering if ya still... ya know... had feelings for Hotohori."
Nuriko raised an eyebrow, "What does this have to do with this morning?"
"Just answer the question!"
"Okay. And of course I still have feelings for him. Although.... they're not feelings of love anymore. They're feelings of friendship. Now can you please tell me what this has to do with this morning?"
Tasuki took a deep breath, "Well, I just wanted to know. Because ya see, this morning, when I woke up and saw ya there, I felt.... man, how can I say this.... Well, let's just say that I.... didn't really mind that much."
Nuriko blinked, then started giggling as realization dawned on him, "Oh, my God! You were turned on, weren't you?"
"Well, I wouldn't say that--"
"Yes, you were! You enjoyed having me so close to you, and wanted to know if you had a chance! Come on, admit it!"
"Fine! I did! So what are ya going to do about it?"
Nuriko smiled and put his arms around his shoulders, "This," He whispered before pressing his lips against Tasuki's.
The kiss was short, but it left Tasuki frozen in place, "I.... I...."
Nuriko blushed and looked down, "I've been meaning to do that for a while now."
Tasuki raised an eyebrow, "Oh really? How long a while?"
"L.... Long enough."
"Care to give me an estimate as to when "long enough" started?"
Nuriko felt himself turn even redder, if that was even possible, "Since I... um... first met you..."
"Really? Well, I'm honored."
This got a laugh out of the purple haired seishi, "Will you please shut up and use your moulth for something useful?"
Tasuki grinned, "Gladly."
And so the distance between them was closed once again, but this time, it was a bit different. Nuriko wasn't kissing back. He pulled away, about to ask what was wrong, and noticed that it was no longer Nuriko who was standing in front of him, but a confused looking girl with long, brown hair, wearing something that looked like it came from Miaka's world.
He pulled away from the girl quickly, "What the hell? Who are ya?! Where's Nuriko?"
The girl blinked, "Wow. Nice welcome present. I'll have to thank Eriol later."
Now it was Tasuki's turn to be confused, "Huh?"
She looked at Tasuki and grinned sheepishly, "Oh, I'm sorry. My name's Nakuru. Akizuki, Nakuru. I'm from another world. Pleased to meet you!"
"...Another world?" He asked himself under his breath, "Could it be the same world as Miaka?"
"D'you say something?"
"Oh, it's nothing," He assured her, "Now can you tell me where Nuriko went?"
"Oh, um, Eriol warned me that to come to another world, I'd have to switch places with someone, so that I won't create an imbalance or anything. So this Nuriko girl must have went to the world I'm from."
"Guy."
"What?"
"Nuriko's a guy, not a girl."
"Oh, okay---- Wait a sec, if I switched places with him, then that means that you were going to kiss him....... Damn it! Why can't the cute ones ever be straight?"
**********Tomoeda**********
As Eriol finished the spell, he noticed a young man, probably around 18 years of age, had appeared in Nakuru's place. Mind you, Eriol was almost fooled by the boy's feminine features, he could still tell that he was indeed male.
The boy looked around the room, confused, "Tasuki?" He blinked when he realized that he didn't recognize his surroundings, "What the... Where am I?"
Eriol stepped into his line of sight, "Allow me to introduce myself. I am Hiiragizawa, Eriol. I'm sorry for pulling you out of your world without warning, but I wasn't sure if anyone would be pulled into this dimension in the first place, and even if I had been sure, I don't know of any way that I could have warned you."
"Huh? I don't understand."
"To make a long story short, you're in another dimension. And don't worry, it's only for a week or two."
"Well, as nice as it is to have a vacation, my friends are going to wonder where I am."
"Don't worry. Actually, the reason you're here is because someone from this dimension has gone into yours. So she should explain to your friends what's going on."
"I suppose... If they know where I am, it's not so bad. But I still feel I should be by their sides, in case they get into any trouble. And with Miaka around, that's pretty easy."
"I wouldn't worry. Ruby-san has a few tricks up her sleeves when it comes to fighting."
"And draining powers," Spinel commented from his perch on Eriol's shoulder.
The boy blinked, "Did that dopey looking cat just talk?"
"WHO ARE YOU CALLING A DOPEY CAT?!?!" He yelled out.
The boy backed up, "Gomen, gomen."
Eriol sighed and rubbed his ear, "Can you please try not to yell so loud when you're on my shoulder, Spinel-san?"
"Blame girly-guy over there. Where does he get over calling me a dopey cat?!"
Eriol shook his head, then turned back to the boy, "Please forgive Spinel-san. He's a bit grumpy lately. Now, why don't you make yourself at home? You'll be here for a while."
He nodded, "Sure. And by the way, call me Nuriko."
Eriol nodded, "Very well, Nuriko-san. Now, would you like me to explain a few things?"
"That would be nice."
"Please, sit down. This may take a while."
Nuriko spotted a couch near where he was standing, and sat there. As Eriol opened his moulth to speak, the doorbell rang.
"I'll be right back," He told him, getting up.
He opened the door in the next room and found Touya there.
"Kinomoto-san, it's good to see you."
"Where's Akizuki?" Touya demanded, not in the mood for being polite.
"She's not home right now. She went on a vacation, and should be back in about two weeks."
"What? But I just saw her half an hour ago."
"Well," Eriol laughed nervously, "It doesn't take very long to go on a vacation in this house."
"Used your magic?"
"Somewhat."
Touya sighed in frustration, "Fine. Well, when she comes back, tell her that I said I was sorry for what I said."
Eriol nodded, "Of course."
Touya looked at his watched and cursed under his breath, "I better go. If I want to be at work on time, I have to leave ten minutes ago."
"Very well. And I'll be sure to relay your message to Ruby-san."
"Thanks," Touya called over his shoulder as he walked away.
Eriol closed the door and went back to the room Nuriko was in. It was going to be a long two weeks.
