Chapter 5 : Fatal Battle

Sakura looked over at the frightened Yugi as he watched the figure get closer to them . She walked over to

him and put a hand on his shoulder .' I should have brought my cards along .'She thought sadly as she watched

the figure .

The dark figure stopped floating in mid-air in front of them . They could not see his face because it was shadowed

by the hood of his coat .Both of his hands were covered by black gloves . He looked over at Yugi and Sakura.

" So you're the one who stopped Pegusas's most trained bandit . I don't know why someone as powerful as

you would even try to save some pathetic boy like him." He said . Yami looked curiously at Sakura when he said

'powerful' while Sakura was getting angry at him for calling Yugi pathetic .

" Yugi is not pathetic!," she yelled at him while stepping protectively in front of Yugi ," Who do you think

you are anyway and what is this place ?!"

" I am Fiore the Sorcerer and this is the half Shadow Realm and half Reality .

I am more powerful then Pegusas himself . Foolish man doesn't even see that i will kill him once my favor to him is over"

Fiore said ." So I suggest you hand the pathetic boy over and I won't hurt you."

" I won't give up my friend to someone as evil as you !" Sakura yelled back then added," Yugi is not pathetic!"

" Well then let's see . " Fiore said as a crystal ball formed in his hands and he through it at them .

Huge crystals started raining on them .

Eriol released his staff and used a barrier to sheild himself while Syaoran unleashed his sword and was

dodging or melting them with his fire ward paper.

Yami pushed Sakura and Yugi out of the way of a huge crystal then looked at Syaoran and Eriol

who were using their magic . He looked over at Sakura .

" They use magic !" He yelled at her through the noise of the crystals crashing into the ground .

" We'll explain later !" She yelled as she pushed him out of the way of a crysal then picked up Yugi and

also started dodging crystals .She looked aroung and saw that the crystals were creating damage to the city .

' If this keeps up the Hong kong can be destroyed .'

Fiore laughed at them then looked at them " How long can you keep it up since I'm getting bored."

With that he pointed his finger at the Syaoran who was to busy dodging crystals to see what was coming

as Fiore summoned a beam right at him that sent him flying into a building wall .

Sakura turned around and gasped " NO!!" Eriol looked up aslo to see Syaoran unconscious on the

ground ." HOW DARE YOU!" He yelled up at the laughing Fiore .

" That's how powerful I am and I wasn't even using half of my powers." Fiore said smiling evily.

Sakura with Yugi following her ran over to see if Syaoran was alright , but when she wanted to see

if he had a pulse something shocked her hand and she pulled back .

" That spell put him into a deadly sleep which makes his worst nightmares get to him then eat his soul

and you can't wake him up unless you defeat me which

I don't think you can . You see I'm mostly made out of dark energy so I don't think you

can defeat me easily " Fiore said while sending a blast at her .

Sakura was ready for that and ran out of the way . Only when the blast hit that she remembered Yugi

was with Syaoran too .

" No " she whispered as she looked over were the smoke was clearing .

When it cleared there was no sign of Yugi ." Over here !" Sakura looked to the side where Yugi and

Yami were standing .

She sighed in relief . " Thank Goodness . I thought you were a gonner Yugi ."

" To bad , but I'll take out your other friend instead ." Fiore said as he snapped his fingers and a

huge energy blast headed towards Eriol . Eriol raised his staff and used his one energy blast against

Fiore's . A huge explosion started as the two blasts hit . Eriol's attack didn't last long until it him too sending

him flying through the air .

" ERIOL NO!!" Sakura yelled as she ran foward and caught Eriol setting him on the ground .Then an

electric shock hit her and she yelped and watched as Eriol too fell into a deadly sleep .

" No , not again", she whispered .

" YAMI!" She looked over to see that Yami getting hit by an electric shock .Sakura ran over to Yugi

just incase Fiore will try to get him .

" I didn't put him into a deadly sleep . I just want to see him suffer ." Fiore said as he started laughing cruely

at the weak Yami struggling with the pain of electricity going through his body ."Now it's your turn ." He said

as he looked at Sakura and Yugi .

Fiore raised his hands and small energy balls formed in it . He threw them at Yugi , but Sakura quickly picked

Yugi up and jumped out of the way .

" You little brat ! Now I see why Pegusas's first minion had trouble with you and your pathetic little

boy" Fiore growled angrily at the glaring Sakura .

" Yugi is not pathetic !," Sakura yelled back at him .

A white glowing globe started to form in his hand ." This should take care of you ." He said as it got bigger.

When it got to the right size , which meant big enough , it disapeared and reappeared before Sakura and Yugi .

Sakura with Yugi in her arms didn't have time to escape the force of the blast .Sakura was thrown into

a wall and closed her eyes as pain ran through her back .Yugi got out of Sakura's hold and knelt in front

of her.

" Sakura , are you alright ? Sakura ! wake up ! Sakura!" Yugi cried as he started shaking her and with

tears forming in his eyes .

" That got rid of her. " Yugi heard someone behind him say . He turned to see Fiore behing him .

" Come on , Sakura! Don't leave me . Sakura !," Yugi yelled . He was now crying .Sakura was struggling

to not fall under the spell .' If I do I'll never see Yugi , Yami and my other friends ever again . '

" It's useless kid . You really are pathetic." Fiore said as Yugi turned to look at him . " Just plain pathetic."

" That's it ." Yugi heard Sakura mutter . He turned to see her struggling to stand up . She glared

up at Fiore as she yelled ." YUGI IS NOT PATHETIC!!" Yugi winced at the loudness of her voice .

Luckily Fiore's spell wore of Sakura .

" DARK MAGIC ATTACK!"

Fiore was hit by a dark blast that sent him far from Yugi and Sakura . They looked at the owner of the voice .

Yami was standing without struggling and had some cards in his hand . Dark Magician stood infront

of Yami with his staff raised .

" Smart Brat ," Fiore muttered .

" You seem to have forgotten that you said this place was half Shadow Realm ." Yami said as he

smirked at Fiore's anger .

Sakura held Yugi close to her and concentrated as Dark Magician and Fiore started to battle.

' Sakura cards please hear my call and help your Mistress .'

Yami looked at Yugi and Sakura and was surprised to see Sakura glowing a goldish pink color while

concentrating on something . Yugi was curiously looking at Sakura too .

Kero sat eating pudding on Sakura's drawer when a light came from it . He curiously watched as the

drawer slid open and the Sakura Book opened . Then the cards one by one started to disappear

along with the star key which Sakura had forgotten .

" What's is going on ?" Kero asked know one in particular .

" Sakura?" Yugi slowly and softly said as cards started to appear before her and then started

circling her .She raised her hand and all the cards piled into it .She place them in the pocket of her pink

jacket then raised her hand again and a staff appeared this time . Sakura grabbed the staff .

Fiore turned to Sakura after he defeated Dark Magician ." So the legend of the Clow Mistress

is true . The powerful sorceress who is Clow Read's succesor and turned all of the Clow Cards

into her own . Surprising it turned out to be you . I knew you were powerful , but I didn't

know you could be this powerful . No wonder you broke through my spell ." He fired a very powerful blast

as she used the JUMP card to jump out of the way ignoring the pain in her back . " A worthy oppenant ."

" Yami , please protect Yugi as I distract Fiore from hurting Yugi ." Sakura asked as she jumped a few

feet away from him .

" It's my job anyway ." Yami said as he started running towards Yugi then yelled over his shoulder

" You'll explain everything later , right !"

" Yes , I will , if we get through this first ." She said as she turned her wand into a sword and cut some

crystals that were heading her way .

" I guess i have to use more powerful attacks to defeat you ." Fiore stated as he started an attack

of raining lances of ice .

" FIREY" Sakura released firey to help her with the lances than counter attacked with ARROW .

Fiore just used a barrier to block them .

" Maybe i'll use the attack that i used on your black haired friend . He had almost as much power as you and

it didn't take long for him to fall " he said as he prepared the attack while Sakura was thinking of a way to stop him .

" Prepare for your doom !" Fiore cried as he unleashed the powerful attack .FIREY and ARROW

didn't last more then five seconds until they turned back to card form .

Sakura quickly took out the MIRROR and tried to deflect it . It didn't take long before the mirror

started to crack .

" Yami ,we have to help her or else we'll lose her too !" Yugi cried to his Yami . Yami quickly looked through

his deck of cards until he found the right one .

It also didn't take long until Sakura's mirror broke into peices and returned to card form .

" This is you doom " Fiore cruelly laughed , but stopped as the blast hit a barrier and was reflected back at

him . " NO!" Fiore cried as the blast hit him and he turned into dark energy .

Sakura turned to look at Yami who was holding a magic card from his dueling deck [ A:N I forgot which one

it was again .]

" I'm not done yet."

Sakura , Yami and a startled Yugi gasped .Fiore with some cuts , bruiese and torn up clothes was

surrounded by dark energy .

" You forget that I am also made out of Dark energy." Was the last words before the energy dived for Yugi .

Yami took a protective stance infront of Yugi .

" Dark energy " Sakura repeated those words .' That's it ' She thought before looking through her deck of

Sakura cards until she found the LIGHT card .

" LIGHT CARD " Sakura yelled before the dark thing hit Yugi . The LIGHT blasted the dark energy

that then turned on Fiore , but before Fiore vanished he yelled out " I will have my revenge!"and

turned into dust .

Everything around them started to turn back to normal . People reappeared and the damage

was gone too , but Eriol , Syaoran , Yami , and Sakura were still injured and in the places they just were .

Eriol and Syaoran had woken up and were staring around them too while Meiling and Tomoyo didn't

know what just happened .

Sakura looked around her and smiled then fainted from the pain and exhaustion .

" Sakura! " All of them yelled .They all ran up to her .

" What happened?" Meiling asked them as she looked at Sakura .

" We'll explain later . " Syaoran said as he watched Yami pick up Sakura .

Eriol walked up to Yami and looked down at Sakura . " Let's get her back to the mansion ."

Yami nodded and they all started heading towards the Li mansion .
