The Next Day…

Sakura: I wonder what happened with Zephyr.
Yugi: Who knows?

Cassandra: I wish you all good luck.

Sakura: Thanks.

Arah: Come on, let's go.

Bakura: Right.

Sakura, Syaoran, Arah, Bakura, and Yugi rushed to the arena. Everyone else started arriving as well.

Yumiko: Hi, I'm Yumiko.

Yugi: Hello, I'm Yugi.

Marie: Hi Sakura.

Sakura: Hi Marie. Looks like we'll be battling first.

Marie: Well, good luck.

Sakura: Thanks, you too.

Yumiko: This is my brother, Jenkman.

Syaoran: Jenkman? Why kind of name is that?

Jenkman: It's my nickname. Long story. My real name is Noriyuki.

Syaoran: Well, nice to meet you.

Jenkman: Same here. Good luck.

Announcer: All right everyone. Let's start the first tournament round!

Arah: Hello miss.

Kay: Oh hi. Oh boy. I have to fight first.

Arah: Best of luck.

Kay: Thanks.

Announcer: All right. Let's begin. Our first pair are Yumiko and Kay.

Yumiko and Kay came out of the little building and walked into the arena.

Yumiko: Good luck.

Kay: You too.

Announcer: All right, on your marks, get set, go!

Yumiko started the battle with a purple beam.

Yumiko: Ah. Cannon Beam!

She released the beam at Kay. Kay quickly dodged it.

Kay: Nice try.

Kay flew towards Yumiko and kicked her. She sent Yumiko flying.

Announcer: Oh, I nearly forgot. The first one to fall out of the arena or die will lose the fight.

Yumiko got up quickly. She flew rapidly at Kay and punched her in the face.

Yumiko: Nothing personal.
Kay smiled and wiped away the blood on her lips.

Kay: It's all right.

Kay took out a little crystal.

Yumiko: What's that?

Kay: It's called an Arqueat diamond.

Yumiko: Huh?

Kay: Allow me to demonstrate.

Kay threw it on the ground and stepped on it.

Yumiko: What the hell are you doing?

Kay picked it up and threw at Yumiko. Yumiko quickly dodged it. Kay smiled as the diamond returned and hit Yumiko. Electricity was going through her body.

Yumiko: AAAAHH!

Kay: Do you surrender?

Yumiko: UH. NO!

Kay: Fool.

After ten minutes, the electricity stopped.

Yumiko looked dizzy.

Yumiko: I-I can't continue.

She fell onto the floor.

Announcer: Yumiko is unable to battle. Kay moves on to the TOP 8!

The audience applauded.

Kay smiled and left the arena.

Announcer: Next up are Mar and Jenkman!

Mar and Jenkman entered the arena.

After twenty minutes of fighting, Jenkman won.

Announcer: Congratulations Jenkman, you're in the TOP 8!

Jenkman: YES!

Announcer: Bakura and Cris, you're up!

Bakura and Cris walked to the arena together.

Announcer: Ready, set, go!

Cris quickly hit him with a black beam.
Bakura smiled.

Bakura: This battle is too easy!

His millennium item rose up.

Bakura: I'm back!

Cris: What?

Bakura: Who is this pathetic fool?

Cris: I'll make you eat those words!

Cris attacked Bakura, but Bakura punched Cris in the stomach. Cris fell on the floor.

Announcer: Bakura has won the match. You're in the TOP 8!

Bakura: Too easy.

Zephyr looked at him.

Zephyr: Looks like the thief who nearly stole all of the millennium items five thousand years ago is back. Hmm. There's a way he can help me.

Zephyr blocked Bakura so that he couldn't exit the area.

Bakura: Out of my way.
Zephyr: Hold on, Yami Bakura.

Bakura: So, Zephyr, it's been a while, huh?

Zephyr: Yes. It has. Now listen. I need you to do me a favor.

Bakura: What's in it for me?

Zephyr: I know where all the millennium items are.

Bakura: Say no more. What do you want?

Zephyr: Since you won't have to be around the arena until tomorrow, you can go the resort Yugi checked in and Arah's bag.

Bakura: Why?
Zephyr: He has something. Well, someone. When my Tomoyo robot was fighting Sakura, something told him to wait. And I think that something is what I've been looking for quite a long time.
