Chapter 9

"Diary of a Mad Mummy"

Everyone walked inside. It was a dark, dusty pyramid. The gang took out flashlights.

"You think it will take a long time to get to the shuttle?" asked Tea.

"I'm not sure. I wish I had a map. It could help us so much." Answered Yugi. His millennium puzzle was glowing. It was showing a light. Where the light, they would follow.

"The millennium puzzle is our map!" said Joey laughing.

"Yeah! You're right. Did I say that? Wow! There is a first!" said Tea giggling.

"Very funny! Everybody's a comedian!" exclaimed Joey.

On Top of the Pyramid...

"Looks like the Card Mistress went the long way to the shuttle. Ha! I'll go to Dileria, get the card, and come back before they get halfway there." Roy was laughing hysterically. Then he sensed something. "No! This can't be! They're almost there!" he yelled. Then he remembered something.

°Flashback°

"YU-GI-OH!" yelled Yugi. He transformed.

°End of Flashback°

Roy gasped. Then he smiled. "It won't do him anything. They're headed for my little trap anyway. But, just in case, I'll be heading to the shuttle."

Inside the Pyramid...

The gang found a chest. Sakura opened it. There was a book. It was written in hieroglyphics.

"We can't read that!" Exclaimed Joey. "If I can't read the small print on the Finals exam then I can't read this!"

Yugi held the book. The millennium puzzle translated the words. It read:

Dear Diary,

That treacherous Diamond Reed has escaped with the scrolls of power, wisdom, courage. He has created these Rainbow Cards to wish for eternal life and evil upon the universe! Once he completes those scrolls, the power of the cards will be invincible! The whole world will be destroyed! No! The whole universe! I went crazy! There's nothing else I can live for! I destroyed nearly three hundred people! I didn't stop there! I attacked with a thousand men. I killed the pharaoh! I did it! I did it! Ha ha ha ha ha! Clow Reed was too weak to fight his own brother! All he did, was to scatter all the cards around the whole universe! He's a fool! They will be found! Diamond Reed will have his revenge! So will I! Diamond Reed offered a deal to me. Any intruders that come in this pyramid will to me! Then Diamond's brother passed away and finding the cards will be tough. But they will be found! If any future victims read this message, it will be your last. You can't escape now! As you're reading this, I'm waking up! Now you will die!

"Wow! A message from the past! Cool!" said Joey.

All of the sudden, there was a groan. They were not alone.

Author's Note: You must hate me for the short chapters! When they're on Dileria, I'll try and make them seven pages.
