Chapter 1 ~ Transfer Student.

"Class, ATTENTION!" The class teacher demanding the students' undivided attention, " Welcome Sonomi Daidouji to our class..." Then, refering to Sonomi, " You will be seated beside Nadeshiko Masaki." He pointed to Nadeshiko. Sonomi quickly took her seat. She felt people staring at her, mostly boys. Where ever she moved, she would attract a fan-club because of her looks. None of them actually cared about her, only her looks. She moved so often, she didn't bother geting close to anyone. Her parents told her that this was final, but they always say that. So, she wasn't sure.
'Ugh! Why do they have to drool all over me!' Sonomi gave a disgusting look to the guy to her left, who couldn't pry his eyes off her. 'And why is that girl, whats-her-name, staring at me like she is going to murder me? Whats her name again? Oh rite! Nadeshiko Masaki!'
"Hey..... Masaki-san, would you please show me all my classes after school?" Sonomi asked her politely.
"Sure...Why not...But It'll be quick, I have a date to get ready for." mumbled Nadeshiko.
"Thank you sooo much Masaki-san. I really appreciate it!" said Sonomi, to show her gratitude.
"Yah...What ever......But get this straight gurlie....Just because I give you a tour, we're not friends or ne thing." Nadeshiko's tone was harsh.
"Of Course........Masaki-san" Sonomi was surprised by this statement.
"Don't worry, Daidouji-san, None of the girls like her. I'll be your friend..."A voice whispered from behind.
"Oh! Then why don't you take Daidouji around the school, Sasaki!" Nadeshiko tried to control her temper, but Sonomi heard anger risning.
"I will gladly Misaki...Wouldn't want to leave an innocent girl alone with you anyways!" Retorted the girl, whose name was Akira.
"Please...Masaki-san.....Sasaki-san.......Do not fight...." pleaded Sonomi.
"Don't worry....She's not ~worth~ my time or breath!" snarled Akira, glaring at Nadeshiko before turning back to Sonomi. Nadeshiko turned away, pretending not to care. But Sonomi could see she was hurt; It showed clearly in her eyes. Sonomi felt sorry for her, and decided to go apologise to her after school.
"May I see your schedule, Daidouji-san?" Akira broke throought her thoughts.
" Of course. " Sonomi handed Akira her schedule, " Please call me Sonomi. I prefer it that way Sakaki-san."
"Sure, and that's Akira to you." winked Akira, " your next class is on the way to mine. And we have an early dismissal today. Meet me outside the gym, and I'll give you a full tour, and catch you up on the gossip."
"Come on Akira-chan. You'll be late for your next class!" said a really cute guy, with sparkling auburn eyes.
"Oh! Daidouji-sa--- I mean ~Sonomi~. This is Yanagisawa-kun." Akira introuduced them.
"Konichiwa, Daidouji Sonomi." Sonomi extended her hand, to shake his own.
"I'll let you in on a secret." replied Akira, laughing, "We were engaged yesterday. So I am actually Yanagisawa-san, but please call me Akira or Sasaki. We don't want people to know yet."
"Congratulations.....belated" she said trying to sound right.
"Thank you." the couple replied, with tinted cheeks.
"This is your class, Biology, Miyuki-sensei is very nice, so you'll be fine. Remember- Outside the gym" smiled Akira, waving bye.
'Same welcome routine.......same drooling! Close your mouth BAKA!' Sonomi glared at another guy shamelesly drooling over her.
' I'm late! Yanagisawa-san will kill me! ' thought Sonomi as she raced towards the gym. ' Shit! I don't even ~know~ where the stupid gym is!!! ' drowning in thoughts, she colided head first into someone.
"Oh I am ~so~ sorry, but I was in a terrible hurry!" apologised Sonomi.
" I'll let it pass if you'll go out with me..." smirked the guy she just collided
" I'm sorry, and that's it. There no way in hell, I'm going to be your girl! " retorted Sonomi
" Is that so! We'll just see about that. " he said, wrapping his strong arms around her, pulling her in for a kiss.
" Let go of me BAKA! " Sonomi yelled.
" You heard her, let go now, or else... " a voice from the shadows spoke up.
" Or else what? Kinomoto " smirked the guy
' God! He's hot! Stupid Stupid, what are you thinking! ' Sonomi surpressed her thoughts, while struggling to free herself from this retard, who was ~too~ close for comfort! Her eyes wided when the so-called Kinomoto punched the ~retard~ straight across his jaw. The hall way was empty, except for the dreamy Kinomoto.......and of course Mr. Retard! She took this oppurtunity to smush her attacker into a pulp. By the time she was done, which was about 20 secs, he was hurt so bad, be could barely walk.
" Hmph! I'm not as helpless as you think, Now am I? " taunted Sonomi, then turning to her hero for the day, she bowed,
" Arigatou {thank you}, Kinomoto-san."
"No problem.....ummm..." started Kinomoto
" Daidouji Sonomi " she concluded his sentence, extending her hand, " Nice to meet you "
" The pleasure is all mine, Daidouji-san "
" Please call me Sonomi... AHHHH! Can you please point me to the gym, I'm meeting a friend there, and I'm late! "
" That way, it's at the end of the hallway. I'm Kinomoto Fujitaka. Well I'll see you later, Sonomi-chan. "
" Surely! " said Sonomi before she took of toward the hallway, over cast with shadows, ' [You ~will~ see me again. For sure....] Shut up! [admit it, you have a crush on him] Oh shove it! '
" Sonomi!! Over here... " she heard Akira break her little arguement with herself.
" I'm so sorry I'm late. I bumped into this guy who tried to force a kiss on me--- " Sonomi was cut short by Akira, " Yah! I saw everything! I was going to help you but Kinomoto-San came in. You two were really hitting it off there!" Akira giggled.
' [see even she says so *sticks her tongue out*] Shut up or else! ' Sonomi thretened the annoying voice inside her.
" Well, It's late now. Hows about I meet you here tomorrow morning at 7:00 am. I won't be late. Promise! " offered Sonomi
" Can't. I promised Yanagisawa-kun I would watch his track practice. You might wanna come. Your knight in shining armour is star of the team." Akira was enjoying teasing her.
' Have I really got feelings for Fujitaka? ' Sonomi thought, ' [YES U HAVE GOT FEELINGS FOR HIM] '
" I'll see if I can make it. Maybe I'll drop by. I have to go now. Ja ne! {see you}" Sonomi waved goodbye to her new friend.

Sonomi strolled outside, thinking that she would look around the outside on her own. She saw Nadeshiko, sitting on a rock. It was 5:30.
' Didn't she have a date for 5:00?..' thought Sonomi, as she walked up to her. She saw a lonely, heart-broken, lost girl in her eyes.
" Konichiwa {hello} Masaki-san. What are you doing here? Are you feeling alright. " asked Sonomi.
" Oh! Hello Daidouji-san. I'm fine, just waiting." she tried very hard to fake a smile. (a/n: its a conversation Sonomi then Nadeshiko. So i'm not going to right names. ^^)
" I see. Mind if I join you Masaki-san? "
" Go ahead. So you're new here? "
" Yes, I moved from Hong kong. Masaki-san......"
" Yeah....."
" I just wanted to apologise for the incident with Akira-chan, earlier today."
" Why it wasn't your fault. That girl has hated me since I stepped into that clasroom. So how do you like this school?"
" I didn't get the tour after all. Some idiot forced me to go out with him, because I accidently bumped into him! But then Fujitaka-san helped me.It all worked out."
A smile came to Nadeshiko's lips.
"Well, looks like ~somebody~ has a crush now."
"Hehe....So, who are you waiting for?"
"You probably don't kow him yet.....Yanagisawa-kun. Let me find a picture."
"Yanagisawa-kun? But---"
"You know him. Isn't he the cutest thing ever!"
"Yah...But...Ok I promised Akira-chan that I wouldn't tell anybody her secrect but I think you should know."
"What? Me needing to know Sakaki's secrests!"
"That's just it. She is no longer. Since yesterday, she has been Yanagisawa-san! They got engaged."
"I see....Thanks for telling me." She looked like she was going to cry. She struggled to old back her tears. In a few seconds she was crying freely.
"Don't cry Masaki-san. He was not worth your time anyways." comforted Sonomi.
"Thanks but he asked me out today morning! This wasn't a mistake."
"Why don't I walk you home?"
"I don't want to go home. My step-father is really cruel. He whips me everyday that I go home. And he killed my mother. I don't wnat to go anywhere near my house. I'll just sleep here."
"~NO WAY~ You're sleeping over at my house. And tommorrow morning we will watch the guy's track practice."
"Are you sure? I mean I told you this morning that I wouldn't be your friend. How can you be so nice to me?"
"Because I know what is like to be lonely." Sonomi smiles.
"Thank you very much."
"From now, despite wht you say, we're friends Masaki-san!"
"If that's the case, call me Nadeshiko."
"Come on lets go home. I'm sure my parents will let you stay over everyday, if you want."
"Thank you again"
Sonomi dragged Nadeshiko towards the gate. "And we got to give you a makeover."
Sonomi and Nadeshiko could feel the loneliness in their hearts disappear.
