Archangel: Fallen Angel.

The sky was brilliantly blue that day. Birds were chirping while the day began, bright and cheerful. The invisible wind blew gently, tugging at people's clothing, making the girls giggle at the ticklish feeling. Nearby, many handsome boys in a navy blue uniform lingered, hoping to catch the eye of the girl of their choice. The courtyard of the school was filled with happy students and staff. Boys and girls talked gaily to each other and greeting their sensei's cheerfully with a little bow. Suddenly, the school bell rang, calling everyone into the building, in which they grudgingly did so. The crowded courtyard as soon empty of any living souls excluding the morning animals that resided there. Silence ruled the air once again, in which the critters happily filled with their morning gossip.

The day soon turned to noon, when the dismissal bell that was expected by many was about to ring. Everyone wanted to enjoy the glorious day given to him or her. Everyone, except for one lone figure that walked late into the school building towards the office, dressed in a new navy blue uniform. Her shoulder length honey coloured hair was tied up neatly in a ponytail that swayed with the afternoon breeze as she pushed up her rectangular black plastic rimmed glasses, that made her look smart and matured, hiding her unusually green eyes. With a sigh, she pushed the office door open and walked up to the counter, where a smiling lady greeted her cheerfully.

"Hi, how can I help you?" she asked.

"I'm a newly registered student here and was wondering if I could pick up my time-table," the girl said with a warm smile, matching the receptionists'.

"What's your name dear?"

"Kinomoto, Sakura," Sakura answered. The receptionist typed quickly on her keyboard.

"It's not often we get students this late during the year," the lady glanced at her while her fingers worked on the keyboard. The printer began to print a piece of paper. She snatched it from the machine quickly and handed it to Sakura. "Kinomoto-san, here is your time-table. Do you need a student to show you around school?" she asked.

"No, thank you. I can find my way. Thank you so much," Sakura glanced at a black plaque with the name `Paniko Janitsu' engraved in it on the countertop, "Janitsu- san," she thanked with a bigger smile.

"Sure. Anytime Kinomoto-san. Have a good day," Paniko called at the girl's retreating back.

"Call me Sakura," she answered with a wave.

Sakura wandered around the empty school hallways with a map in her hand, familiarizing her way around the school before walking to her phys-ed class outside on the track field. A burst of light greeted her as she walked out the doors, walking briskly up into the bleachers towards the man whom she hoped was the teacher near the starting line of the track.

"Terada-sensei?" she inquired after the man blew a silver whistle that hung around his neck. The runners took off with a flash. The brown haired man looked up at her with gray eyes.

"Yes?" he asked squinting since she was sanding with the sun behind her back. "Could you please seat down? My eyes hurt looking at you since your back is to the sun," he asked apologetically.

"Oh, gomen nesai sensei," Sakura said with a quick bow before sitting next to her teacher. "My name is Kinomoto Sakura. I'm a new student and was assigned to this class." She handed him her timetable and her transcript.

Terada-sensei's eyebrow rose up a little. "You've been attending so many schools," he stated, "at least I know you won't fail my gym class," he said giving her back her timetable. Sakura sat beside him and observed her classmates. They were all mostly very fit since they could run so much. Most of the boys were very tall along with a handful of girls. She figured that she would be in the average area.

A girl with misty grey-purple hair caught her sight. She was tall and slender with creamy white skin in which the sun had not successfully tainted with any darkness. Sakura stared out into the field using her peripheral vision to point out the purple eyed- beauty. A taller navy-haired boy caught her attention as he crept up behind her on his tippy toes. He wrapped his hands around her slim waist as he murmured something into hr ear. She snaked her arms behind her around his neck, welcoming his whispers that visible told Sakura, that shivers ran down her spine. The boy looked up and caught Sakura's eyes with his navy blue eyes. He smiled a mysterious smile that hid many secrets behind it.

She focused her vision to the front of her, where there was a line of boys and girls ready for Tereda-sensei to blow his whistle. The awaited signal was blew and they sprinted off .She noticed a messy wind blown brown-haired boy gaining speed to the front of everybody. Two girls followed after him closely. One had raven black hair, which was tied up in a similar ponytail like Sakura's, and the other had dark red hair in a similar style as the black haired girl. The trio soon levelled off with each other as they came to the end of their track. They arrived running in sync as the passed the finishing line. Sakura could feel the wind that followed after them as her gaze followed them. The girl with black hair punched the messy brown haired boy not-to-gently on the arm as the red haired girl just giggled at the spectacle .the navy haired boy and the purple-eyed girl soon joined them.

"Those three are our top sprinters in this school along with the navy haired boy. They helped us win numerous of awards for this school. I wonder where they get all their stamina. 400m dash and they're not even breathing hard!" Tereda said in a low whisper to Sakura. She nodded in agreement as they all talked together as if they had an evening stroll. Terada blew his whistle again calling attention to his class. He bid them a good day as they left off to change in the changing room after introducing Sakura to the class. She bowed to them in greeting and left the field slowly, getting a head start home.

As she walked back to her sunny yellow childhood home, a memory came back to her. A memory in which she wished that it would just go away….

<i>She held her friends hand in hers. The hand was covered in soot and dry blood covered it. A pretty girl with bright red hair that looked dirty brown now lay in her arms, drawing in ragged breaths. Sakura felt her tears streaming down continuously down her cheeks. She did not want this to happen. She didn't want to do what she was asked to do. She wanted for once in her life disobey her authority.

"Sakura… what will be will be. Please do it for me," the girl whispered.

Sakura could smell the burning wood and the rotting bodies around her. "Don't ask me to do it. I'll do anything else," Sakura begged. The girl laughed quietly and chocked. The poison that was given to her was boiling her blood.

"Sakura, I order you to do it," the girl said sternly.

Sakura sobbed and nodded reluctantly, knowing the pain her friend must be going through. She took her thumb and pressed a spot on the girl's neck. The girl's breath stopped abruptly and she fell limply in her arms. Sakura wiped her tears from her face quickly with a dirty hand and quickly ran away from the site before the police could arrive there. <i>

Sakura's eyes blurred a little as she walked down her street. Her feet carried her automatically to her destination as she often thought about things. She ignored the twitterings of birds and the cheerful chatters of the day's critters. Her mood was anything but happy. Today was an important day for her, it was the 2nd anniversary of her friend's death and she did not feel like doing anything that day. Her spirit was brought back to her body when she felt herself being pulled roughly by the neck into a cover of shady trees.

"What are you doing here?" the voice hissed. It was obviously a girl's voice.

"I belong here as much as you do Ganajo," Sakura answered calmly, tensing her muscles. She could feel the other girl's hand tightened firmly again.

"Speak properly, Sakura. You're nothing but a Fallen Angel," the girls said again.

"I hold more rank than you do Ganajo," Sakura said tiredly.

"Did Chan finally give you the spot you wanted after you gave into her? By the way, how is she?" the girl said cruelly hitting a sore spot.

Anger clouded Sakura's eyes as she grabbed the hand in which held her captive and twisted it with a knife in her hand at the other girls throat. "You traitor…" Sakura spat. A pair of strong arms grabbed her from behind making her loose her hold on her knife. Ganjo Sakira grabbed it in a flash with a tiny smile.

"Never mess with a Wolf," she taunted.
