At the Beginning

“Gee…it's so dark.” Sakura says as she activates Glow and firefly-type lights appear in her house. She lay on the bed and turned on the radio, just missing Kero's favorite song, but was in time to catch one of her favorites.

`And that was `Fruits Candy' by Kojima Megumi. Next is `At the Beginning' by Richard Marx and Donna Lewis…'

We were strangers starting out a journey

Never dreaming what we'd have to go through

Sakura thought about the first time she opened the Clow and met Kero. She also thought of the time she almost lost her friends in the final battle with Eriol.

Now here we are and I'm suddenly standing

At the beginning with you

She sighed and turned her head to look at the pink book that lay on her desk.

No one told me I was going to find you

Unexpected what you did to my heart

She blushed at the next thought. She remembered the time when Syaoran told her that he loved her.

When I lost hope you were there to remind me

This is the start

She smiled at when Syaoran gave her the last of his magic to help her change Light and Dark.

She almost cried when she remembered she almost failed Yue's test and saw how the world was like without love.

She knew that all of her friends and family were besides her no matter what happened.

We were strangers on a crazy adventure

Never dreaming how our dreams would come true

She thought how at first she and Syaoran were rivals when the CardCaptoring began, and how they became friends then lovers during all of their adventures.

Now here we stand unafraid of the future

Sakura knew that even when all seemed hopeless, she had her special spell. No matter what, everything would be alright.

She remembered the time Tomoyo had disappeared and she almost broke down crying, but Syaoran helped her through it.

Now I know my drem will live on

Even though Syaoran was in Hong Kong, and she was here in Tomoeda, she knew their hearts were connected.

The song ended, and Sakura fell asleep.

In a different country, a boy around the same age as Sakura was listening to the same song as Sakura. He too was thinking about all of the adventures he had in Tomoeda. After he turned off the radio, he started to think of a certain girl with brown hair and emerald eyes. `Sakura…I'll come back for good. I promise.' Syaoran Li, mentally thought as he drifted off to sleep.

There, done in one day. Personally, I think this is one of my better fics. It's my first time doing a songfic, I'm impressed. The song was my favorite, `At the Beginning' by Richard Marx and Donna Lewis. You've probably heard this song if you have seen `Anastasia', you know, the Disney movie. It's at the end credits. Anyways, I don't own either the song or the anime. I hoped you enjoyed it, I did.
