Cardcaptors; a new generation

A Trip To Japan.

Once upon a magic night an English sorcerer mixed Western wizardry with Eastern enchantments to create a magical deck of cards called Clow Cards. These cards were hidden inside a dusty old book for decades their powers virtually wasted. Then one fateful day, a young girl called Sakura Kinomoto discovered the book in her fathers library. When she opened in however, the Clow Cards were gone--and so was life as she knew it. The books magical guardian, Cerberus, declared Sakura the Cardcaptor, and after many exciting adventures, she finally retrieved all of the cards, and Yue accepted her as the new Now Sakura has earned the title Master Of The Clow.

A whole year has past since the defeat of Eriol the reincarnation of Clow, and things have changed, Toya, Sakuras older brother finally raised enough money to fund his way through college with Yukito and had since moved out, amd so they still still hang with Sakura and the gang, things were calm until, a young boy in the country it all began has a dream which sparks a whole new generation of cards and unlocking a whole new set of adventures for Sakura and the gang.

This story starts not quite at the begining but not quite at the end but somewhere around the middle of Sakuras tale.

For around a year now Kenji Asagawa, who lives in England had been having unusual dreams, a girl with unusual cards was stood in a green field, a lake was behind her and judging by the scenary it was in Japan, behind him was a large creature with large wings, and what appeared to be an angel, she opens her mouth to say something but as she starts he wakes up.

Today would be the day to change his life, it started off normally, down stairs for breakfast then on his board to school.

As he arrived a crowd of people were stood in a circle, a huge banner was stretched across the front of the school,

as he came closer he saw that it read "Japanese school exchange" People were signing up, he pushed his way through, "scuse me coming through, hot stuff make way."

As he reached the front his teacher Mrs Mazuki, was stood handing forms out.

"Hello there Kenji late as usual, I hope your going to sign up for this! Japan is beautiful this time of year."

"Sure I'm signing, I love Japan."

There was always something strange about Mrs Mazuki, he felt that she was hiding something, he signed his name and his address at the bottom.

"You'll all find out at the end of the class" Mrs Mazuki Addressed the playground, "wether or not you are the lucky person who'll go to Japan, and wether or not you're family will be housing a Japanese exchange student.

He sat in all of his classes, thinking about how wonderful Japan would be, and also how he'd never stand a chance, he'd never taken part in anything before let alone won anything.

Finally the bell rang and Mrs Mazuki walked into the room,

"Good afternoon students" she addressed the class,

"Good afternoon Mrs Makenzi" the class replied.

"I know you've all been waiting for this all day, as many of you have been sent to my office for not concentrating" she smiled,

"now the one person who will be going to Japan is....Kenji Asagawa!"

Kenji jumped up in surprise.

"I'd like you Kenji to stay, here after the class has gone."

As the class filed out, Kenji stayed sat in his seat, Mrs Mazuki walked up to him and smiled, "The place you'll be staying will be called Tomoeda, you'll be saying with the Kinomoto family."

"Isn't that...Sakura I think thats her name, isn't that her house?"

"Yes, while your there you'll be staying in the Tomoeda school for your lessons, you'll leave next friday.... remember you'll have the power when you need it."

"Huh?"

"You'll see....now your excused from school until then to learn Japanese customs and the like before you go"

"Thank you Mrs" Kenji beamed, he grabbed his board and skated out of school.

Back at home Kenji began preparing for his trip,

"Dad where's me passport?" he shouted down the stairs,

"Relax" said his Dad on the way up the stairs, "you've got a whole week, don't forget, now Mrs Mazuki called round and dropped off some of these books, and a letter for you to pass on to sakura."

"Thanks Dad, could you cook up a fried breakfast?"

"Sure" he beamed.

A week later Kenji woke up with an unusual feeling in his stomach, it was a cross between nausea and butterflies.

"Come on son it's time to go!" his dad shouted up the stairs,

"What? it can't be that late!"

He got dressed and ran downstairs, grabbed a slice of toast, and his bags, and made his way out of the door to the car.

The motorway wasn't busy that day, and neither was the airport so soon enough Kenji was on the plane to Japan.

When Kenji landed in Tokyo he was picked up by Sakuras Dad, Fujitaka.

Back at Sakuras house Sakura was talking to Kero the guardian beast of the Clow, Kero was his Temporary form, his true form was Cerberus.

Kero's temporay form is a stuffed animal with see-through wings, whilst his true form was a large beast with big white feathery wings, Kenji though had no idea about any of this....yet.

"Kero these dreams I've been having are becoming more vivid, the boy standing there, I don't know who he is and I can't seem to remember what he looks like, I've got the feeling he holds very powerful magic."

"Did you get to see his circle?"

"yes...but it's weird,"

"Why's it unusual?"

"Well you said that your power comes from the sun, and mine comes from my star and Yue's comes from the moon, and thats how it works,"

"yeah and?"

"Well his was an eclipse with a star in the middle"

"Hmmm, I've never heard of anything like this before, I'll need to talk to Yue."

Yue was another guardian, his temporary form was Yukito a perfectly normal looking guy who Sakura has a crush on, and Yue was an angelic looking guy with white robes and long white feathery wings, silver hair and purpley sliver eyes.

A car pulled up in the driveway, and the sound of the doors shutting was heard.

"Dad's home! Kero you stay here I'll bring up some snacks later"

"Promise?" he beamed,

"Promise"

"AW-RIGHT!!!" Kero flew round in circles around the room.

Downstairs Sakura waited in the Kitchen for her Dad and Kenji to come in,

"Sakura! are you in, our guest is here!"

"I'm in here Dad lunch is almost ready"

Fuji walked into the room, "Sakura, this is Kenji our guest from England."

Kenji came around the corner.

*That face I know him, why I sense so much power?* Sakura thought.

Suddenly she blacked out.

"Sakura!" called a voice, "are you okay?"

She slowley opened her eyes, "yeah I--I'm fine, um, can you excuse me" Sakura ran upstairs, and into her room.

"Kero! something happend, that boy Kenji who's come to stay I think....I think he's the boy I saw in my dreams, he holds so much power, even I couldn't take it,"

"What! this is serious but I don't think he knows about his power"

Suddenly footsteps where heard coming up the stairs, and the door opened, Kero froze into his stuffed animal impression,

"Sak...." Kenji fell through the door and collapsed on the floor,

Yue was stood behind him,

"Kenji is very powerful, he must know what he's capable of before...."

"Before what?" Kero shouted,

Kenji woke up.

"Wha-what happened?"

"Kenji" Sakura said sternly "there's a few things we need to talk about.

A new school a new story.

"So what your telling me is I have some serious powers?" Kenji said dumb struck, "I knew something was different about me but I didn't know this!"

"There's somethings I need to show you" said Sakura reasuringly

"Kero you can show yourself"

Kero unfroze and flew around the room.

"Kenji I am Cerberous, but you can call me Kero, I am the guardian of the Clow Cards."

"Wait I know you, your picture is on my family shield, I thoughjt it was a tiger or something."

"Wow! nobody's ever called me a tiger before, the Clow Cards and I where created by Clow Reed, an English sorcerer who mixed eastern magic and western magic, he died years ago but came back in the form of a young lad called Eriol, Eriol has some strong magic, but nothing as strong as I sense coming from you."

"Eriol?! I know him he was in my school a while back, I didn't trust him, he had good manners and was a nice guy and all but....something about him I didn't like,. OH!!"

"What is it Kenji?" Said Sakura jumping.

"Mrs Mazuki wanted me to give this to you"

"Oh Mrs Mazuki how is she?"

Sakura had last seen Mrs Mazuki the year before when she had a final show down with Eriol, Clow Reed's reincarnation.

Kenji handed over the letter, Sakura read it out loud.

"Dearest Sakura

You no doubt have sensed Kenji has some strong powers, I too noticed, he has yet to discover his capabilities and I hoped you would help him.

The weather is chilly over here, as it probably is where you are, no doubt the blossoms are in full bloom right about now.

I hope things are fine and you are keeping yourself well as things are going to get tough, I can't tell you much more but I hope you keep Kenji welcome, and introduce him to everyone,

I'll send you more information later

Mrs Mazuki XXX"

"How does she know everything before us?" Kero said extaticly,

"Sakura may I ask you a question?" said Kenji,

"Sure"

"What are...Clow Cards?"

"I'll show you" Sakura smiled,

She walked over to her desk and opened her desk and pulled out her book, as she opened it the cards flew out and circled both her and Kenji, these were Clow Cards, but since they started using the power from my star they became 'Sakura Cards'."

"This is really sketching me out," Kenji said worried, "Can I move into my room?"

"Sure" Sakura smiled,

"Listen kiddo" Kero said happily "it may seem 'sketchy' now but it will get easier, Sakura had a hard time getting used to her powers, but now she is master of the cards"

"Kero I trust you, I should be scared of you but I honstly trust you, tonight would you stay in my room?"

"Is that okay with you Sakura?" asked Kero

"Sure" she smiled

Kenji moved all of his stuff into Toya's old room.

That night Kenji slept uneasily.

*Who is that person?....who is this?.....where am I......*

Kenji woke with a start, sweat trickled down his face,

"Kero are you awake?"

Kero yawned "Sure kid whats up?"

"A dream I had, there's a person standing in front of a building, theres two people standing either side of me, I don't understand it"

"Okay kid, thats your pre-cognative powers at work, your powers are strong but you need to learn how to use them, now goet back to sleep you need to keep your strength up"

Kenji slowley drifted off back into a peaceful sleep.

He awoke the next day with the smiling face of Sakura to greet him, Kero had gone back into Sakuras room to make sure she had woken up.

"Woah!" Kenji sat up with a start,

"I'm sorry did I startle you" she worried "you do like to sleep alot don't you?"

"Yeah, it's a different feeling sleeping away from home" Kenji laughed,

"Well here's your uniform" Sakura handed him a, Black shirt, a tie and a black pair of trousers, "you'll be going to school with me for the rest of this week, maybe you'll meet my friends, Syaoran Li, Tomoyo and Eriol, now hurry up and get dressed or we'll be late."

Kenji climbed out of bed and realised he was only in a pair of shorts, "Um...Sakura...ah would you.....would you mind kinda turning around whilst I...."

"Oh!"Sakura blushed and turned around, secretly she smiled,

"I'm done" he called, "how do I look"

She turned around, "Wow you were born to wear that uniform, you look great! it's my brothers old uniform I hope you don't mind"

"No at all Sakura, for once I'm really keen to get to school"

They both walked back to Sakuras room.

"Will you save me some breakfast?" Kero looked up hopefully,

"We both will right Sakura?"

Sakura nodded.

She grabbed her books and went downstairs for breakfast, Fuji had left early and left a note saying:

Dear Sakura and Kenji,

I got a message from work saying I needed to get in early, there's stuff in th kitchen for breakfast, and for dinner if I'm not back in time.

See you later

Dad

"I'll cook" Sakura shouted,

Later on after they had finished all but a little bit of breakfast (for Kero) they took it upstairs.

I thought you'd enjoy it"

"Wow!, you two are going to be late you'd better get going"

The New Key.

Sakura put on her blades and Kenji hopped on his skateboard, the flew down the road, suddenly Sakura stopped Kenji turned around quickly, he was talking to a couple of people,

"So whats this English kid like squirt" said one of them,

"You really shouldn't call your sister squirt Toya, everytime I see her I swear she's growing every time I see her"

Kenji glided up slowley.

"Hello" said Kenji bowing slightly "I'm Kenji,"

"I'm Yukito Tsukishiro", said one of the boys, holding out his hand.

Kenji grabbed his hand, suddenly an unusual sensation shot up his arm, and he let go.

Yukito was a tall guy, with brown hair glasses, and a kind smle

"And I'm Toya" said the other, he had black hair, was very tall, and gave Kenji a smile, he held out his hand, Kenji took his hand and shook it.

"You two better hurry up you're gonna be late"

"Oh my!" Sakura said looking down at her watch, "we'll catch up with you two later, Kenji we'll have to take a shortcut and alot of it's downhill, are you ready"

"Yeah!"

They both sped down the hill, the warm spring breeze, flowed through Kenji's short hair, as he watched Sakura blade elegantly through the falling blossoms, he thought to himself *now I see why Mrs Mazuki loved it here so much* he smiled to himself, and before he knew it they had arrived.

The building was huge, larger than the school back in England, as they arrived the bell rang, "I'll show you to our class" Sakura smiled.

As they arrived, two people ran up to Sakura, "Hey Sakura," they both called,

"Hey Li, Hey Tomoyo"

"Who's this?" asked Tomoyo,

"You two meet Kenji"

Kenji held out his hand and they both shook it,

"Nice to meet you" he said to Li,

"Enchanted to meet you Tomoyo" their eyes met, she blushed and he smiled back shyly.

"Hello class" Mr Terada walked in, "today I'm happy to introduce our exchange student Kenji Asagawa, would you like to come up here and introduce yourself."

"Hello everybody" he bowed, "I come from a small town called Barnstaple in the South west of England, I enjoy drawing, reading, and music, I hope that I'll get to know each and every one of you well," his eyes met with Tomoyo.

"Okay Kenji, you can take your seat over there next to tomoyo."

He sat down and Tomoyo blushed a little bit more.

Sakura leant over toward Li, "do you see that?"

"See what"

"Tomoyo and Kenji, I sense a little romance in the air"

"You know...I thing your right"

"Isn't it sweet"

After school, Tomoyo, Kenji, Sakura and Li, walked home, Yukito joined them, Kenji carried his board under his arm.

"Where's Toya?" Sakura asked

"He's gone to work, all these jobs he's got he'll pay for his college fund easily"

"Thats great," Tomoyo smiled.

"Yeah" Sakura sighed.

They all headed down towards the penguin park,

"Wow, this place is great" Kenji said happily.

Tomoyo sat down on a swing,

"Kenji....would you give me a push" she blushed

"Sure" Kenji blushed slightly but hid it with a yawn,

He pushed her on the swing, her hair billowing in the air.

*This girl...she's beautiful...how can I tell her how I feel if I've only just met her today*

Suddenly a wave of energy rushed through Kenji, "what was that?" he shouted, slowley the sun started to dissapear,

"An eclipse?!" Sakura gasped.

The shadow stopped half way and a star appeared in the middle,

Yukito froze, his eyes glazed over and a large pair of wings folded around him, suddenly in a burst of light Yue appeared.

"THAT SIGN!" Sakura shouted "I saw it in my dream once, Kero said it was a very powerful sign"

"Yeah it is" Yue agreed "But why now?"

"I think I can tell you..." Kenji spoke, he had changed, his voice was deeper, Tomoyo pulled out her camera.

"Kenji! whats going on" Sakura asked.

"It's my time....."

"What?"

Kenji started glowing, he shot up into the air at a great speed, and disappeared into the darkness, a few moments later Kenji fell to the ground, Yue flew up and grabbed hold of him and landed gently on the ground.

Kenji lay unconcious in Yue's arms, "We can't take him home in this condition" Sakura said.

"Is he okay" Tomoya said her eyes brimming with tears,

"Yeah he's fine" Sakura calmly, "um....why are you crying?"

"I've got something in my eyes, must be the wind" she blushed.

Kenji slowley opened his eyes, Tomoyo was looking down on him, he held her hand, "Thanks for worrying"

She smiled at him, "Of course I would"

As he opened his other hand there was a key, the base was made from metal, it was shaped like an eclipse in one half was half a black moon, and the other was half a gold sun, and in the middle there was a star shaped hole."

Back at the house Kenji an Sakura were sat in his room,

*Knock Knock* Fujitaka popped his head through the door, "Would you like some tea you two?"

"Yes please Mr Kinomoto"

"Kenji, I've told you, you may call me Fujitaka, you're going to be here for a while so I insist in it." Fujitaka smiled down at him.

"Dad can you bring us up some snacks?"

"Of course, remember dinner is at eight."

Fujitaka left the room closing the door behind him,

"So how long are you staying?"

"The form says a month..."

"A whole month!" Kero jumped in excitedly, "Will you be cooking English food?"

"Well..I...uh.."

"Kero's a big food fan," Sakura smiled, "He doesn't need to eat, but still does...ALOT!, things don't have to change around here you know, you don't have to cook anything if you don't want to."

"No, i'd love to cook for you sometimes."

"Really?" Sakura and Kero, both shouted, jumping up excitedly,

"That'd be great" Sakura sat back down again.

"UH-OH!" Kero shouted, knocking Kenji backwards,

"WHAT?! WHAT?!" Kenji panicked

"Dad's coming" Sakura said calmly.

Kero flew over to the bed and sat motionless.

"Tea!" Fujitaka beamed from the doorway, in one hand a cup of steaming tea, and in the other a plate of assorted treats.

"Fujitaka?" Kenji asked.

"Yes Kenji is something wrong?"

"Oh..no nothing's wrong I just wanted to ask you something."

"Ok sure."

"Um...can I ask you outside?"

"Uh...ok."

Kenji and Fujitaka left the room.

"Psst Sakura." Kero whispered,

"What?" She whispered back,

"What'cha think the kid and your dad are talking about?"

"I dunno...i hope it's nothing bad."

"Do you think he's asking your dad about us?"

"He has more sense than that....hasn't he?"

"I dunno, he's English, do you think we can trust him."

"What do you mean Kero," Sakura snapped,

"Well Eriol was from England and had powers, and look what he did, Clow Reed was from England and he was as twisted as the came, maybe all English people with powers can't be trusted."

"Kero..." Sakura was going to ask how he could think such a thing, but after a bit of thought realised something.

Kenji came back ino the room, with a satisfied smile on his face, Sakura threw him a distrusted look.

"What?" Kenji asked.

Surprises For Sakura.

Sakura, didn't sleep well that night she dreampt, two years ago Sakura and Li were enemies, and at one stage she had slipped and was hanging on to the cliff ledge,
