Chapter 10

"Professor Dumbledore!" A certain group of five (yes, Ginny had joined
them) heard a loud voice shrieking. It turned out to be Madam Pomfrey,
the matron of the school's sickbay.

"What's the matter, Madam Pomfrey?" Hermione asked.

"Oh, you wouldn't believe it! All the students in the bay miraculously
healed! I haven't even given them any medicines or spells!"

They certainly didn't believe it and could hardly do so even after she
ran to find Professor Dumbledore.

"Healed?" Sakura repeated. "A Relm card?" The others were thoughtful

"You know, it could be!"

"Since it COULD be a Relm card, let's go!"

They hustled Sakura off. "Ho- Hoe!"

"O key that hides the power of the star,

Show thy true form before me,

I, Sakura, with Relm's added power,

Command you under our contract,

Release!"

Sakura's dress this time, had a cloak, a skin-tight tunic and long
pants with a moon and a sun emblazoned down the sides. Ginny spotted
something moving along the top of a shelf. "There, Sakura!" she
pointed at the shelf.

Sakura nodded. Since it's in the sick bay and all the students are
healed, no doubt that it's the Heal! She threw out a Sakura card.

"Windy! Trap the Heal!" The Windy sent a few spirals of wind. The Heal
willingly let itself be entrapped.

"Return to thy true form! Relm Card!"

The Relm card floated to Sakura's hand and the costume vanished,
replaced by the Hogwarts school uniform.

Professor Dumbledore appeared on the scene. "Congratulations, Miss
Sakura, on capturing the Relm card. "What card was it?"

"Uh... it's `The Heal'." Sakura handed the card over to Dumbledore who
carefully scrutinized it.

"Very powerful and interesting," was his remark as he gave her back
the card. Sakura was temporarily speechless. Dumbledore gave the group
a smile and went on his way.

"Well, we'd better go too," Hermione nudged Sakura. "Come on!"

Sakura absently mixed the armadillo bile and the essence of lionfish.
The concoction created a loud blast, which sent the dungeon shaking.
Of course, Snape would investigate.

"Miss Kinomoto! Earth to Miss Kinomoto!" Snape roared with a hint of
malice. Sakura snapped back to reality immediately.

"Y-yes?"

"Detention, Miss Kinomoto. For not paying attention in Potions. That
would be tomorrow at five sharp." Snape paused. "By the way, Kinomoto,
I said, mix the bile with the boomslang skin I gave the class."

Silent snickers could be heard from the Slytherins. The Gryffindors
felt it distinctively unfair they did not get punished. But then
again, whoever said Snape was fair?

Sakura thoughtfully put away her things, as she got ready for dinner.
A Relm card's presence had intruded her magical sense yet again. I
wonder if Yue has sensed them too... "Itai!" Looking down at her foot,
where the pain stemmed from, she noticed that a strange creature,
which was red, round in shape and had two claws and rows of sharp
teeth, had bitten her foot.

"Hoe? Where did you come from?" she spoke to the creature in her
native language.

The creature squeaked before hopping off. "Matte kudasai!" Sakura ran
to keep up with it. To her surprise, the creature was as quick as
lightning.

`Dash! Give me the speed to keep up!' A mental image of a cat-like
creature appeared in her mind, mewling a little before disappearing.
Gradually, the distance between Sakura and the creature lessened. The
creature gave another squeak, this time in surprise. It increased its
speed again until it could hardly be seen.

"Hoe?" Sakura blinked. "I think Kami would even envy its speed." She
dashed forward, desperately trying to catch up with the little red
critter. Then, all of a sudden, it stopped at a door and hopped inside
the room.

"Hey! Where are you going?" Sakura once again spoke in her native
language.

"Who's this I hear? The new transfer student?" A voice spoke from
behind a cupboard.

"Hoe?" Sakura was on her guard. "Who are you?"

A shadow came out into the light to reveal Professor Lupin. However,
Sakura didn't recognize the Defence against the Dark Arts teacher.

"As for your question, I'm Professor Lupin."

"HO-EEEEEEEEE!" Sakura burst out in shock. The professor only stood
there and looked at the astonished girl.

"So, that's a Kikrean? (Pronounced Kee- Kree-an. I'm putting it here
because one of my pre-readers mistook it for `Kee-Kreen' )" Sakura set
down the cup of hot chocolate she was holding.

Lupin nodded. "Your Defence of the Dark Arts class is tomorrow, isn't
it? Well, this little critter will be there. It comes from the cold
parts of the world. It doesn't fare really well in hot weather." He
stopped to ruffle the Kikrean's fur.

"This Kikrean doesn't have a name. A friend of mine who keeps pets
like these lives in a cold country owns this Kikrean but hasn't given
it a name. Do you want to name it?" Sakura looked at the Kikrean.

"Is this a female or a male, Professor Lupin?"

"It's a female."
"How about... Bellrandy?" Sakura decided to name it after Chiharu's
favorite character in the manga `Ah! Megami-sama!'.

"You like to come up with special names, don't you, Miss Kinomoto?"
Sakura flushed in embarrassment.

"That's a name in a manga," she explained.

"I see." He glanced at the clock on the wall. "It's ten minutes past
your dinner time, you'd better hurry. Chop chop."

"Hooee!" Sakura dashed out of the door at once, leaving a cloud of
dust in her wake.

Sorry for this lateness, but school is starting once again, and it's
getting pretty hectic, what with all the pre-school worksheets that
need to be done. ^^ I'll try to update every few days, at least. Oh,
and if you want to see how the Kikrean looks like, just imagine the
Neopets' Kiko without the plaster and a little meaner looking and more
anime-ish. Ja Na.
