DREAMING OF YOU

ML: My first CCS story, and it's a Li/Sakura request.

Li: So, what's the format?

ML: Songfic format.

Sakura: So, which song?

ML: "Dreaming of You" by Selena.

Madison: You should've chosen another song. That song has been done so many times.

ML: It's a perfect song! Anyway, "I don't own 'Dreaming of you' by Selena or Cardcaptors." There. ROLL IT!

Late at night when all the world is sleeping

I stay up and think of you

And I wish on a star that somewhere

you are thinking of me too…

It was nighttime in Tomoeda, and almost everybody in town was asleep. Well, I did say almost, did I? All except one light in the town was on. That light belonged to Sakura Avalon. Of course, if you believe the narrator, not getting enough sleep is bad for your health. The reason she was up this time of night was that she was thinking. Thinking, of course, about Li. Kero, of course, was sleeping right nearby. In his sleep, he was thinking, "Man, doesn't Sakura get any sleep these days?" Before she slept, she thought, "I wish Li was thinking about me now." Then she'd go to sleep, dreaming of him.

'Cause I'm dreaming of you tonight

'Till tomorrow, I'll be holding you tight

And there's nowhere in the world I rather be…

Than here in my room

Dreaming about you and me

However, the next few days, Meilin had Li wrapped around her finger, and Sakura even thought that Meilin and Li were going out. When Sakura even got a foot to Li, Li thought she was just a figment of his imagination; he thought she was invisible. Sakura was both hurt, and jealous. Jealous of Li and Meilin. Her grades got even lower, and was in danger of failing. Luckily, her brother would help her out with schoolwork. After that, she wrote in her journal. It said,

Dear Diary,

It's about Li. How come he doesn't say "hi" to me? Does he not like me? I think he likes Meilin more. She even flirts with him. Oh diary, what can I do?

Sakura

I wonder if you ever see me (See me)

And I wonder if you know I'm there (Know I'm there)

If you looked in my eyes

Would you look in my eyes

Would you see what's inside

Would you even care

After a few sessions with her brother, Sakura's grades got better. She went from a C- to a C+. However, her dreams of Li were still there. She still wanted him. Meilin stopped flirting with Li, and went on with other guys, leaving Sakura with strong hopes. But Li still continued to treat Sakura like a friend. Sakura would still think, "I wish you would treat me more than just a friend, Li."

I just wanna hold you close

But so far

All I have are dreams of you

So I wait for the day

For the courage to say

How much I love you

Yes I do!

I'll be dreaming of you tonight

'Till tomorrow, I'll be holding you tight

days later…

Li and Sakura were sitting on a bluff that overlooked Tomoeda. He then said, "Sakura, I don't know how to say this, but… Wo ai ni." Sakura asked, "Is that Mandarin, and if it is, what does it mean." Li said, "Yes. It's mandarin, and it means, 'I love you'." Sakura was shocked, but the shock wore away, and it turned to tenderness. Tenderness towards Li. She said, "Well, I have something to say to you to. Ai shiteru, Li-chan. It's Japanese. It means, 'I love you, Li.'".

Li said, "I loved Meilin, but now she's going with another guy. Now I love you." The two teens kissed, solidifying their bond. Sakura's dreams finally came true. The boy she loved, now loved her back.

That you came up to me

and said "I love you"
I love you too!

Li looked down at the beautiful girl beside him. There she was. Asleep, with her head on his shoulder. He carried her back to his car, and drove her home. Mr. Avalon met him. Li said, "I'm going to put her to bed. Don't worry about it, Mr. Avalon." He said, "Li, I always entrust her care to you. I won't." He opened up Sakura's bedroom door, tucked her into the bed, and kissed her forehead. "Sweet dreams, my cardcaptor. I love you." Even though Sakura was asleep, she heard it, and said, "Ai Shiteru, Li-Chan. Sayonara."
