Inside the apartment of Syaoran Li the phone was ringing wildly.

Syaoran: Hello?

Person on other line: (girl's voce) is this the Transportation service to Tomoeda?

Syaoran: (notices girls voce) Yes it is.

Girl: When can you take me?

Syaoran: Any day of this month.

Girl: Can you take me tomorrow?

Syaoran: sure! Where can we meet?

Girl: The airport at 3:oo p.m. I believe. I will be getting off the airplane from New York.

Syaoran: I will provide the bus, and all the gear, it will coast 300 dollars.

Girl: O.k. Thank you. Good-bye.

The line went dead. This was the chance that Syaoran Li had been waiting for, the chance to go to Tomoeda to meet with his true love Sakura Kinomoto. He could barley restrain himself from calling her, but he knew better, the surprise was worth it.

Kinomoto home (that same day) 2:00p.m.

Kinomoto Touya: Sakura, Tomoyo is here!

Sakura: Come on up Tomoyo!

The girl Tomoyo bounced up the stairs up to Sakura her best friend.

Tomoyo: Hey, Sakura! Want to help me baby-sit?

Sakura: (Finishes brushing hair) O.k.

Tomoyo grabs Sakura's wrist and pulls her down the stairs. In no time at all the girls are already in the flower field with two young kids, a boy and a girl.

Tomoyo: Did you hear that…well. (Struggles thinking what to say) A foreign exchange student from America is going to come here?

Sakura: (Mouth dropped open) WHAT? How did you know that?

Tomoyo: I overheard the Mayor talking.

Sakura: But it's the beginning of summer. I thought that foreign exchange students only came during the school year.

Tomoyo: So did I Sakura ! But the mayor was talking a lot, so I only overheard a little bit of it. (thinks a little more) I do know that the person is a girl, and that she is going to stay at someone's house.

Sakura: I wonder whose house she is going to stay at. (Thinks to herself) Maybe she will become a friend to us.
