Prologue

“Miss Kinomoto may I see you in my office.” Sakura walked up to the door sighed and opened it. The room smelled strongly of lavender essence. Sakura starts coughing.

“Seriously how can you expect a person to breath in here? It smells like my grandmothers old socks.” The headmaster sighed.

“Miss Kinomoto sit down.”

Sakura pulled the chair and regretfully sat down. “Headmaster if this is about the pumpkins I'm sorry but it's not my fault!” Sakura slammed her fist onto his desk.

“Miss Kinomoto calm down, nobody is blaming you for the exploding pumpkins with the exception of the other students. But that's not my problem anymore.”

Sakura jumped out of the chair. “What are you talking bout Jing? You said you'd keep me here. You said things were going to change. That things would be better.”

“Miss Kinomoto I have found a place that can help you with your “troubles”

“That's what the last place, and the last place, and the last place said. You know what how bout we just stop now and send me away while the getting good?”

“Okay Miss Kinomoto the car is waiting for you now. No need to take anything with you, you won`t be needing it.” Sakura walked towards the door but stopped to turn around and look at the headmaster.

“What ever helps you sleep at night. At least you won't have to worry about exploding foods anymore.”

Chapter 1:

`How could he just get rid of me. I know he suspected it was me that was the cause of all their troubles. *sigh* huh? I just saw something in the trees. Speaking of which where am I going ? Sakura looked around but all she saw were trees. I'll ask the driver' “Um excuse me where are we heading?”

The driver turned around. “To your new boarding school Miss Kinomoto. We will be arriving shortly. Just look ahead” Sakura looked out the front window . All she saw was a giant lake.

“Wait a minute is that a building. In the middle of a lake!”

The driver saw her frantic gaze and said “ Don't worry somebody will meet you to take you across.” He gave her a toothy grin and she attempted a smile.

A very irritated headmistress was chewing out a teenage boy. “ Mr. Li I thought I made it clear that you were to escort the new student to and around the school. Apparently you have different matters to attend to.”

“I do.”

“Well your plans are now booked with this girl and I'll tell you this if you don't get over there in 5 minutes you're toast. Now…….. MOVE!”

Syaoran opened the door and slammed it shut. “Why do I have to baby sit that brat!”

“Oh Syaoran that isn't so nice. I mean you barley even know her.” Syaoran turned around to see a friend of his also known as his fiancé Meiling.

“I had to cancel all my plans cause of her.”

“Um Hun you told me yesterday that your only plans were to sleep and eat. Oh yeah don't you have somewhere to be?” Syaoran dashed off in a mad sprint.

“Thanks Meiling!” She sighed. `He'll never learn'

Syaoran got to the other side of lake just as the car arrived. `Oh great the baby is here.' The car stopped at the lake and the driver dismissed Sakura. “Um are sure this is where I am supposed to be?” The driver once again smiled at Sakura.

“ Of course this is where the car took me. It was on autopilot.” He grinned and the car left.

Sakura was standing in front of a boy just about her age with messy amber hair and dark golden brown eyes. He was wearing a dark green shirt and some black jeans. They just stood there looking at each other. `What's his problem why does he keep looking at me like that? Why won't he say anything?'

Syaoran just stared at her. `What is her problem ? Why did they send her here? There's nothing special about her.' She was wearing a pink tank top with blue jeans. She had deep emerald eyes and silky auburn hair. In a way she was kind of cute but he still didn't like her.



“Look girl. I don't like you and I don't plan too so just stay out of my way!”

Sakura smirked.” Look boy. I don't care if you like me and to let the record show I don't like you either.” `Stupid boy who does he thinks he is?' “And the names is Kinomoto Sakura not girl!”

“I'll call you what ever I want. To let you know the name is Li Syaoran. Don't forget it………..loser” he paused to see her reaction and just as he planned she charged at him. `I have to admit for a girl she sure is fast, but none the less I will still kick her butt!'

`The nerve of him! Me a loser! He's the one that insulted me before he even knew me. Well we'll just have to teach him some manners.' She charger at him with intense speed (but not all of it). `Let's see how about a fake kick that I know he'll catch only for me to spin and get him to the ground. It's worth a shot.'

She followed through with the plan, he caught her, she did a spin and he landed on the ground. Syaoran quickly grabbed her foot and took her to the ground with him. “Nice trick but you left yourself open.”

“Don't give me pointers. Remember you don't like me, so don't try to help me.” She pushed herself up off the ground as Syaoran came at her with a punch. Sakura grabbed his arm, pulled it and elbowed him in the back. He hit the ground once again with a thud. Sakura smirked.

“Don't think you can beat me that easy.”: Li drop kicked Sakura to the ground. He rolled back kicked his legs up and popped off the ground.

“Don't worry I didn't.” Syaoran smirked but was easily caught off guard when Sakura did a cartwheel and both her legs were around his neck bringing him down.

“What did you think of that Mr. Li” Syaoran brought himself off the ground. `God how many times has she thrown me to the ground?` “ I didn't hurt you pride did I?”

“Not a scratch” he mumbled. `How could she be so good? I guess I'm gonna have to kick it up a notch. She won't expect me to use magic, none the less know what it is.' He stood there once again staring at her. He sat down on his knees and closed his eyes.

`What is he doing?` Sakura felt herself being pushed towards the edge of the dock, and Syaoran stood up. She concentrated on the water and it came up and slapped him in the head. While he was trying to figure out how she did that, he didn't notice Sakura tackle him to the ground. They just laid there staring at each other.





Syaoran flipped Sakura to that he was on top and was about to punch her when she flipped him back to the ground. She looked into his dark golden brown eyes and through all the coldness she could she a hint of warmth. All of a sudden she felt a hand on her head and Syaoran's lips on hers.

`I can't stand her! Just as I was about to knock her out she flipped me back on the bottom. I don't know what happened she just stared at me and I couldn't stop looking into her deep emerald eyes. I couldn't help it I just pulled her towards me and kissed her! WHAT WAS I THINKING?'

`I couldn't believe this guy was kissing me. I was about to slap him, but instead I pulled him closer! My god what is wrong with me?! I finally came to my senses and pushed him away.' “What do you think you're doing!” I got up and turned around wiping my mouth off.

“What in the world came over me? God that was gross. Oh and why didn't you push me away instead leaning in for a deeper kiss!” Sakura regretfully blushed.

“I just can't believe I kissed you. I must have been under some kind of spell or something.”

“So what ya saying I'm a witch? And don't act like you didn't like it.” She said with a grin. Now it was his turn to blush. “Look I still don't like you so DON”T get anymore ideas!”

Syaoran turned and told her to get into the boat. When they were settled in Syaoran grabbed a long metal pole stuck it in the water and they pushed themselves through the water. Fog started to appear blocking their path to the school. “Darn I knew we should've left earlier. This fog does weird stuff to ya.”

“Well if you wouldn't of started trouble maybe we could have left earlier.

Syaoran dropped the pole and said “I had more important things to do today than baby sit some brat. I most certainly wouldn't do this out of the kindness of my heart. Most certainly not for a person I don't know.”

“You're not a very nice person ya know, but there is some good in you.”

“What would you know about me?”

“Last time I remembered you're the one who judged me without even getting to know me. Oh and don't tell anyone about that kiss. I don't need for there to be rumors bout me my first day.”
