CHAPTER 7: Getting closer to you, my love
The house seemed to be diminished by time, and it obviously needed a good painting. But I didn't seem to notice it; all that I really cared about at that exact moment was the woman that I carried in my arms. I gazed down at her, and I thought that no other woman could compare to her. She was more than beautiful, and beautiful didn't even come close to describing her. She was…undescribable, beyond words.
As I looked down at her, the breeze seemed to catch the strands of her hair along with the wind. The honey-auburn strands appeared to catch the last rays of the sun, making her look like an angel, and a goddess at the same time. I smiled faintly at the sight, and felt my knees turn weak. She looked so at peace when she was asleep, but I also took note of the sudden look of sadness her face wore. I frowned suddenly and felt her forehead with my left hand gently. But luckily her body temperature was at a reasonable temperature. I sighed heavily and continued to walk towards the summerhouse. It was getting more chilly out here, and if we didn't get inside sooner, she might catch a cold. I held her to my body closer to keep her warm. I wouldn't forgive myself if anything ever happened to her, and I have never felt so protective of anybody in my life.
As I reached the house, I found that the front door was open. I stepped in, and was greeted by an odd smell of wood, and moss. The inside of the house was the total opposite of the outside. The inside was much more in a good shape, and it looked....homely. I sighed heavily, and when I found an old, but sturdy couch, I placed the bundle of joy tenderly on the soft cushion. As soon as I did, she stirred slowly and smiled faintly in her sleep. I gazed down at her lovingly and kneeled down on the wooden floor, to gaze at her face. I couldn't help it, I just had to touch her but carefully without waking her. I stroked her face lightly with my fingertips, and as I looked at her I have never ever felt a love so strong yet so heart-warming at the same time. I stroked her auburn hair gently, and pushed away the hair away from her beautiful eyes. She was....amazing. There was no other word to describe her.
After what seemed like eternity, I stood up from where I was, and looked around the house. I searched for a warm blanket to cover Sakura, and when I reached a vacant room upstairs I found a few sheets. I picked one up, and carried it downstairs.
As soon as I reached my destination, I placed the sheet tenderly across her sleeping figure. I felt a smile tugging across my lips at the sight of her. She was so adorable. I slowly bent down and kissed her tenderly on the forehead, and stood up. Suddenly I heard my stomach grumble, and decided that it wasn't a bad idea if I find something to eat. I hadn't eaten anything since morning, and I was starving.
When I reached the kitchen I found some canned goods in the pantry, and boiled some water on the stove. I found a pack of noodles and a bottle of water in the fridge. I decided that it was enough for dinner, and that I should save some in case Sakura gets hungry when she wakes up.
When I finished eating and cleaned up the dishes, I yawned suddenly and found myself sleepy. I knew that it was time I get some rest since I was so exhausted. I went upstairs and found another blanket and brought it downstairs with me. I found Sakura still sound asleep, and bent down to give her a goodnight kiss on the cheek. She stirred and smiled faintly. I smiled back, and settled down to sleep beside her, and held her in my arms gently. I held her tight in my arms, and after a few minutes sleep seem to overtake me and I slowly found my world turn black.

I woke up suddenly and felt someone holding me tight...I turned around slowly and saw Syaoran sleeping soundly beside me. I couldn't help but smile...he looked so handsome and peaceful when he's asleep. I gazed at his face in wonder and felt his slow and steady heartbeat with each breath he took. Suddenly I felt sudden tears fall from my eyes from the sight of this man. I felt all these sudden emotions come back to haunt me, and it seemed to take over my whole body. I couldn't help but to stroke his chesnut hair, and feel the chesnut strands through my fingers.
"Syaoran...." I whispered, and continued to gaze at his face lovingly while tears slowly fell from my eyes.
He stirred slightly and mumbled something in his sleep. I giggled quietly and wiped a few tears from my eyes. Being in his arms was like heaven. Then I laid my head down on his chest and heard the lulling sound of his heart bring me into another slumber. I loved him so much...
