Chapter 1
Memo read or die
Everything was perfect for Sakura Kinomoto and her Card Captor days were getting shorter with her only having a few more cards to collect. Even though she didn't have a boyfriend but she still had her best friend Tomoyo Daidouji. She lived with her father Fujitaka and her brother Touya. Nothing could possibly go wrong. Sakura was laying in bed when Touya crept in with a bucket of water and threw it on her. Sakura screamed and her father walked in.
“Sakura are you o~ what happened here?”
“Oniichan dumped a bucket of water on my head!”
“Touya I asked you to wake her up not dump a bottle of water on her head.”
“But it woke her up didn't it.”
“Yeah you do have a point.”
“Hello what about me?”
“Just dry your hair off you look like a kaijuu.” Sakura jumped out of the bed and slammed her foot down on Touya's.
“I'm not a kaijuu!” Sakura stomped out her room and into the bathroom.
“I guess I'll go finish making breakfast.” When Sakura came down stairs she was running late.
“Why didn't anyone come remind me that I was late!?” Sakura snatched Touya's piece of toast and dashed out of her room on her skates. “Ugh I don't have time for this!.” She reached into her pocket and withdrew a card. “FLY!” A giant bird came out of the card and stretched its wings. Making sure no one was watching she climbed on and they took off into the sky. Touya was riding his bike down the street when he saw her take off.
“She really should be more careful, someone could see. Plus I could have given her a ride.” Fly brought Sakura to the ground gently behind the school so no one would notice. It then returned to card form and she stuck it in her pocket. When she walked into the building and into the library of Toemeda High she saw Tomoyo carrying a large stack of books.
“Hey Sakurachan could you give me a hand with these?”
“Yeah hold on.” Sakura sat her book bag down and took half of the stack of books.
“While you're at it you could help me put them on the shelves.” Tomoyo walked away before Sakura could give an answer. As she started to put some of the books back she saw a teacher and she rushed past her. She quickly turned around the corner and she heard a muffled yell. Running around the corner after her, she saw her clutching her leg as blood dampened her pant leg.
“Help me.”
“What did you say?” She pulled a book from the shelf and opened it and placed a card inside of it. Closing the book, she pushed it into her arms just as something was shot at her arm. Another muffled scream was heard, but this time Sakura was covering her mouth. “Shield,” Sakura whispered and an invisible shield surrounded them. She then listened for any sort of sound that would give away their attacker. “Through,” she said quietly and grabbing on to the wounded teacher she pulled them through the floor and they landed in the lower level of the library. (It's like a basement.)
“Who are you?”
“Sakura Kinomoto. Who are you and who is it that is attacking you?”
“My name is Ms. Mizuki and it is someone who is after the clow card I found.”
“And what card would that be exactly?”
“I don't expect you to understand but.” She took the case from Sakura's arms and opened it revealing a card of a beautiful woman on it. At the bottom the words THE DARK were written.
“Hey I have quite a few cards like that.” Sakura reached into her book bag and revealed a red book. She opened it and it was actually a case. There were cards just like the one he had in his hand in there.
“You are the person I have been looking for. Take care of this for me.” Sakura put the card in the case and closed it, putting it back in her book bag. “How is it that you can call on the cards with out using your key?”
“I have had lots of practice.”
“How are we going to get out of here?”
“Windy”
“Huh?” Sakura stood up followed by Ms. Mizuki who was limping and slowly started to walk up the steps. She waited hesitantly before she stepped up the last step. When she did something was shot at her barely missing her hear.
“Windy!” A beautiful maiden appeared sending a enormous breeze through the library knocking all the books and papers off the shelves, and sending them flying into the air in every direction. Sakura grabbed the teacher's hand and they ran out of the building. When they left the paper and books stopped flying around. “Sword!” A chained sword appeared and chained the doorknobs.
“Thank you but I can get to the nurse on my own. I will need to speak with you later.”
“Yes Ms. Mizuki.” Then they went their separate ways.

Earlier that day
“Syaoran are you going to school today?”
“Yeah Eriol you should try coming.”
“No thanks. I have too much work to do for Aunt Yelan.”
“Don't kill yourself and good luck with impressing mom. I'm off.”
“Whatever.” “He watched him walk out of the building the future of the Li Clan Xiao Lang better known again as Syaoran Li. The head, the successor that will lead the world to a new beginning. Most of this is still secret to him, and what part does he play? Well first off his name is Eriol Hiiragazawa and he is Syaoran's cousin, and he is collecting Clow cards to help his cousin in this quest.
“Eriol are you there?”
“Yes coming Aunt Yelan.” Aunt Yelan is in her late 40's but she is strict as ever.
“I need you to retrieve a card for me.”
“And which card is this?”
“THE DARK.”
“Where is it?”
“It is at the Toemeda High School in the hands of a Ms. Mizuki. I need you to get it and bring it back to me so we can add it to our collection.” Eriol bowed and walked out of the room. He sat on the balcony thinking about what to do. Realizing that he should probably go he jumped off and walked towards the school. Spotting his target he followed her into the library. Not wanting to waste any time he started to send little bullets of electricity towards the victim when they were intercepted.
“Huh? What happened?” He started to send more when he saw a shield catching all of his bullets and then they were gone. Later that day, Eriol still couldn't quite place his finger on what had happened. He was looking out the window on the second floor of the school building completely oblivious to the person behind him.
“Hey are you new? Why aren't you wearing a uniform?”
“Huh?” Eriol turned around to see a girl with amber hair and magnificent emerald eyes.
“Hi I'm Sakura Kinomoto.
“Ying Fa?”
“Yes that is my Chinese name.”
“Oh.”
“Do you have a name?”
“Yeah.”
“Well do you mind telling me?”
“Not that it matters but it is Eriol Hiiragazawa.”
“Pleased to meet you. I don't want to be a nag but do you like being by yourself?”
“I don't mind it at all. Shouldn't you be in class?”
“Shouldn't you? Anyway I needed a place to think, plus right now I have a study period.”
“Oh.”
“I hope you don't mind in I keep your company just a little while longer.”
“I don't care.”

Syaoran didn't fancy going to school but it was something he had to do. It was bad enough that Ms. Kinomoto Sakura showed him up in class just because he mispronounced one English word. Anonymous accidentally pronouncing it a non-e moose. “She thinks she is so special, but I have news for her she isn't. Far from it.”
“Hey Li how's it going?”
“Huh? Oh hey Yue what's up?”
“Just wondering if you were up for some baseball.”
“Yeah sure.”
“Great because the girls are playing volleyball.”
“Perfect,” Syaoran mumbled. They walked over to the baseball field and Syaoran saw Sakura playing volleyball with Tomoyo and the other girls. Her amber hair swaying in the breeze as her emerald eyes sparkled with laughter in the afternoon sun.
“Hey Syaoran you're up to bat.”
“What ever.” The pitcher threw the ball and Syaoran “hit it out of the park” and flying onto the volleyball courts straight towards Tomoyo. All the guys watched in horror knowing that she was doomed to take a hit in to face. Sakura notice and with tremendous speed she caught the ball with her bare hands in mid air.
“You idiot watch where you are throwing!” She said gripping her wrist. She threw the ball back at Syaoran with full force. He ducked and the catcher caught being thrown back a few feet in the process.
“Whoa next time we should ask her to play with us.”
“Shut up Tasuka.”
