Chapter 5: The wolves inside us

 

Author: Yes I know I haven't updated it what seems like years. But seeing as high school is a royal pain in the arse… well I'm going to start updating now! Ive gotten over writers block and I'm rearing to go!

Sakura's POV: I had been about to say yes to Syaoran, but both my darling best friend Tomoyo and her mate Eriol came and crashed the mood. I growled under my breath, I had become use to this seeing as my hidden wolf self being dormant for so long because of being in human society had emerged to its full height, but I was still getting use to it.

 

I looked over towards Tomoyo and saw her smirking! Like she knew some secret I didn't! The nerve! I'm her best friend! She should tell me everything! Then I noticed Eriol and thought with a fleeting moment everyone has their secrets. I calmed down when syaoran put his hand on my shoulder; his presence seemed to comfort my raging emotions.

 

“Hey Sakura! You in there?” Tomoyo asked me shaking me slightly. I was shook out of my revere, and said “wha?” “I said do you want to go for a walk? They have lovely mountains here that are perfect for walks and lunch see? I brought a lunch for all of us!” she said to me with a cheerfulness I grew suspicious of immediately at.

 

Syaoran's POV: I was waiting for the girls answer next to me. She seemed in a deep state of mind, all her emotions were all over her face like a book. She looked absolutely beautiful, I wanted to just grab her and kiss her, but there was the moment of doubt on her face that stopped me. Did she not like me like I liked her? Was there someone else? Before I could question her, my best friend Eriol came with his newly made mate by the smell of it, Tomoyo. She started talking to Sakura I knew immediately she wasn't paying a word of attention but when I heard her growl, I looked up in alarm, and saw Tomoyo smirking, along with Eriol; I too started growling realizing they were up to something.

 

Then when Tomoyo finally noticed Sakura wasn't paying a bit of attention to her, I laid a hand on Sakura's shoulder almost instantly calming her down, I felt proud of my self that I had that kind of effect on her, my sense of doubt were eased 10 fold by this. Sakura looked up when Tomoyo started shaking her, I growled and she backed off sensing this and just asked her the question again.

 

Normal POV: Sakura answered yes to Tomoyo's question. As they were walking Sakura admired the view of her new home. “It's so earthy here!” She thought. As the little group of wolves walked through the forest admiring the view, both couples were too rapped up in their thoughts not to notice someone was following them. As the person crept closer toward syaoran, who wasn't expecting an attack from behind was left off guard for the person who crashed into him. Now distinguished as a she, Syaoran growled along with Sakura who was feeling a little jealous over the other female who was hanging off Syaoran in such a manor.

 

“Meiling get off of me!” yelped Syaoran who was trying to dislodge the girl from his back. Why? I can hug my fiancé if I want to! Yelled, the now known Meiling. Sakura turned red in the face at this accusation. “Syaoran was taken and he never told me?” she screamed in her head.

 

Her rage was soon soothed for Syaoran yelled back saying that this was a long time ago and that they were young pups playing a game.

 

Meiling pulled on a sad puppy face and started whining, saying Syaoran was mean and didn't believe her, and her mum and papa would fix this. As she races back toward the village Syaoran grabbed Sakura's hand and drove off toward after her in great burst of speed.

 

All the while Tomoyo and Eriol were just sitting there transfixed by these turn of events but were liking it either way since it suited their plans either way they saw fit to the ending, walking towards the village, now following each of their best friends and new acquired problem, Meiling.

 

Back at the village….

 

Meiling was just a little ahead of the two racing after her. Syaoran had filled Sakura in on the little misunderstanding back in the forest and Sakura was trying to listen and run at top speed at the same time.

 

As they reach the elders flap, they bowed before entering unlike Meiling who got a few nasty glares from the elders, when finally she calmed down and bowed also. As Sakura got a good look at her surrounding seeing as she was just flying by tress a minute ago, noticed two people looking and smelling similar to Meiling and guessed they were her parents.

 

Her parents had an disapproving look upon their daughter but noticed Sakura and syaoran and also smiled upon them seeing at least these two paid their respects even though in hurry, already liking Sakura their decision was made

 

Sakura was to become the princess to the Li clan by the joining of syaoran and Sakura in the mating ritual of life mates.

 

Author notes: so how did you like? More to come if you guys and gals review for me. Meiling parents had come because they were called for their opinion on the mating of the Li clan and Kinomoto clan in the joining of the two clans together, just so you guys aren't confused.
