Epilogue: In This Distant Town
Characters are from Card Captor Sakura created by the fine ladies of CLAMP. They are used without consent nor intent for profit. All rights reserved.
This series is rated for mature audiences. If you are reading this, you should be an adult and act like one.
This series can be viewed as being both manga or anime continuation, as well as neither. While giving a nod to the end of the manga series, nothing contradictory to the anime will be stated. However, as this story is about Sakura and Syaoran's relationship, there will be no direct reference to magic either.
---------------------------
The bell rang, ending the half-day of school. Sakura quietly gathered her stuff and prepared to leave.
Syaoran briefly caressed her hand. "I'll see you at home."
"Yes, dear. I'll say 'hello' to my father for you," Sakura commented with a slight smirk.
Syaoran laughed sheepishly. "You do that. See you later." And with her words of parting, he left her as he went to their house.
"Sakura-chan, are you doing anything tomorrow? There's a cheerleading meet, and it'd be great if you could watch or...," Naoko trailed off, though there was little question as to what the girl wanted. That Sakura would participate with the team.
"Sorry, I'm afraid I've got stuff to do," Sakura apologized.
"I see. Rika-chan, Tomoyo-chan and I were thinking of hitting the movies tomorrow evening as well..." Naoko frowned as Sakura shook her head. "You can't even do that?"
"I have a meeting with Auntie Sonomi about family business holdings," Sakura explained.
Tomoyo nodded sadly. "It's why I didn't ask her."
"I'll see you all Monday." Without another word, Sakura left.
Naoko folded her arms and huffed. "If I can't get Sakura-chan to go to the movies, what chance do we have in getting Chiharu-chan to go?"
"Probably just as bad," Tomoyo commented dryly.
Naoko cast a quick glare toward Takashi. "I still don't think it's fair that Chiharu-chan got expelled while her husband only got a one-week suspension."
Tomoyo shook her head. "It was foolish of them having sex at school. And since Chiharu-chan was known to be pregnant before, the school had the ability to fully expel her despite that she miscarried it."
Naoko huffed. "I want to know who the morons are that passed these stupid school laws. If I got pregnant, I'd be expelled; but if I murdered another student, I'd only get transferred to another school."
"Welcome to a male-dominated society that refuses to accept reality," Tomoyo blandly stated. "If you want to change the world, marry a politician and convince him to do what you want."
"What about your mother? She's one of the highest ranked business women in Japan," Naoko reminded.
Tomoyo nodded. "And despite having controlling interest in the Amamiya Group up until Sakura's marriage, the only business she had full control over was the one company she completely owned. The only reason she's been able to exercise more influence over the group now is because of Syaoran-kun."
Naoko growled in frustration. "Makes a girl almost want to swear off guys."
"I already have," Tomoyo quipped with a knowing smirk.
Naoko laughed, thinking the girl's statement was a complete joke. "And thousands of guys would scream in protest."
Tomoyo nodded evilly. "Let them scream. It may be a 'man's world' out there, but I still intend to carve my own path. I just have to figure out whether I want to take the fashion industry by storm first, or blow away movie production."
"Heh. You'll probably end up doing both." Naoko sighed. "And I'm left hoping to make my big break in writing stories. I don't want to rely on having to find a husband to support me. With my luck, I'll get stuck with a guy that couldn't get a meaningful job to save his life."
---------------------------
Once she was outside of the school, Sakura wasted no time putting on her in-line skates. She pushed herself down the streets as fast as she could, relishing in her brief moments of freedom. The wind breezing past her ears and through her short hair. Ever since her marriage a half-year ago, she had little time to even indulge in this simple pastime. Even now she only got to use her skates as a means to speed herself along the tasks she wanted to do today.
On the day Sakura had gotten married, Tomoyo had said that she was going to be the same person and only her name would be changed. For a time, her best friend had been right. Yet day after day there was less of 'Kinomoto Sakura' and more 'Li Sakura.'
Kinomoto Sakura would've stayed after-school practicing on the cheerleading squad and if she had chores to do, she would've struck some sort of deal to have spent the evening with her friends. Kinomoto Sakura would spend her school day practically arm-in-arm with Tomoyo, occasionally Rika, Naoko, and Chiharu would join in their schoolgirl chats. Kinomoto Sakura was hesitant with her relationship with Syaoran, unsure of the full extent of their feelings or how far they would take it. Kinomoto Sakura took great pains to keep herself modest.
Li Sakura, on the other hand, had only one place left to go in her relationship with Syaoran: motherhood. Li Sakura at best spent her lunch talking to Tomoyo, if even that, and now rarely spent any meaningful time with her other friends with the exception of Chiharu. Li Sakura found that there was too much stuff to do at home and in checking on her inheritance that she couldn't afford devoting any time to after school activities. Li Sakura could be found doing her laundry completely naked, and far too many guys have seen her panties from accidental skirt peeks lately, much to Syaoran's ire.
The final death nail to 'Kinomoto Sakura' had been watching with morbid fascination a new family moving into her childhood home. The proud new owners had been all to happy to tell her all the changes to the house. Her bedroom now belonged to a five-year-old boy, while Touya's room had been taken by the boy's two younger sisters. What had been her father's library in the basement was now a game room, complete with the latest video games.
Now Sakura was on her way to pick up a little present for her father. He had finally fully moved into his apartment. Apparently the timing of his move had been bad due to it being mid-term at the nearby college. He had to temporarily stay in a smaller apartment while waiting for a larger one to become open when the college students left. Thankfully, the apartment complex did offer him a special deal, hoping the presence of a teacher would help control the numerous college students that lived there.
"Sakura-chan!"
The teenager skidded to a stop in front of Twin Bells, and shook her head clear of her thoughts before smiling at her friend. "Hi, Chiharu-chan. How are you?"
Chiharu leaned against the broom she was holding, wearing a blue dress very similar to the one the owner of the store usually wore. "Fine. Sometimes I wish I was in school rather than having to start working already."
Sakura giggled. "At times I'm half-tempted to get myself expelled. I seem to have more and more to do at home."
"I know that feeling. Even though I'm now living at the Yamazaki house full time, I'm doing most of the housework there," Chiharu grumbled. "I leave work to go home and do more work. And it takes a miracle for Takashi to do anything if I don't nag him about it. I'm so busy right now, I shudder to think what'll happen when I have a baby."
Sakura smirked. "The same thing all women do, they make time, at the expense of everything else in their life."
"I have a life to lose? I can't remember the last time I went out with the other girls," Chiharu groused.
"Well, if you got free time tomorrow, Naoko-chan and the others are planning seeing a movie after the cheerleading meet," Sakura mentioned.
Chiharu rubbed her forehead. "Nice to be warned about it. I'm scheduled to work so Maki-san can go on her date."
Sakura smiled. "It's nice to see her moving on with her life."
Chiharu nodded. "It gave her a reason to hire me at least, to free up her time. Though, I'm honestly not surprised she started to see men. She had to stop being a surrogate mother to the neighborhood kids and have her own baby eventually."
"Maki-san certainly seems like she should be mother. I wish her all the luck in finding a good husband," Sakura agreed.
"Better than our husbands at least," Chiharu laughed.
Sakura giggled. "Some time ago I thought that would be hard to do."
"Live and learn," Chiharu surmised.
"Yep. Syaoran's not perfect, but he's still my love, dirty socks, toilet seat up and all. And I wouldn't trade him for anyone else." Sakura glided away from her friend a little. "I got to hurry if I want to get a present for my Dad and make it onto the bus. I'll talk to you later."
"See ya." Chiharu waved good-bye, before returning to sweeping the front approach of Twin Bells.
---------------------------
Syaoran grumbled some unpleasant words under his breath as he tried to get the lawnmower to start. The machine wasn't a year old, yet it was already being finicky. Even with a full tank of gas, if you didn't pull the cord just right, it wouldn't start. After the twentieth tug, the machine finally roared to life. With the mower purring as it should, Syaoran began to cut his lawn.
"Excuse me?"
Syaoran instinctively let go of the mower, and it immediately stalled. The teen was ready to mutter another curse, but instead turned toward the lady who interrupted him. "Yes?"
"Is the homeowner here?" the lady questioned.
"I'm the owner," Syaoran answered flatly.
"Of course you are, Dear. Is your father here?" the lady pressed.
Syaoran scowled. "He's dead."
The lady frowned. "Sorry to hear that. What about your mother?"
Syaoran folded his arms. "Living in Hong Kong."
The lady blinked. "Then who lives here?"
"I do, with my wife," Syaoran almost growled.
"You know, it's not good to lie, Dear. Where are the homeowners?" the lady insisted.
"Who's lying? I own this house, and you're getting in the way of me mowing my lawn. If you had something to sell me, I'm certainly not interested in buying something from someone who can't listen. Please leave," Syaoran hissed. He then tried to restart the mower, and it refused to turn over and start.
"I'll let your parents know how rude you are," the lady warned.
Touya walked up behind the woman. "Good luck contacting his mother in Hong Kong." He then turned his attention to the teen. "Hey, brat, can I borrow your mower when you're done? The one at my house just died."
Syaoran was about ready to kick the machine. "If you can help me get the damn thing to start."
The lady folded her arms. "Do you seriously expect me to believe this boy owns this house?"
"Along with my little sister, yes," Touya casually answered. "And they make more money from businesses in a day than you'll probably will all year." He walked up to the lawnmower, gave it one quick tug and the machine roared to life.
"Thanks," Syaoran muttered.
The boys proceeded to ignore the saleswoman as Syaoran finally managed to mow his lawn.
---------------------------
Sakura looked dumbly at the slip of paper in her hand, while holding a flowering plant under her left arm. The room number she wrote down for her father's new apartment didn't make sense. The hallway to her left was marked for rooms five-hundred to five-hundred-forty, while the hallway to her right was five-hundred-sixty to five-hundred-ninety. Where was five-hundred-fifty?
"Are you lost, Dear?" questioned a lady, holding a briefcase yet wearing a modest dress. "Looking for your older brother or sister's apartment?"
Sakura shook her head. "I'm looking for my Dad's new apartment. But there's no room five-hundred-fifty."
"Your father?" the lady asked in confusion. "Professor Kinomoto has a daughter your age?"
Sakura nodded. "You know where his apartment is?"
"Right in front of you, dear." The lady pointed at the unmarked door that rested between the two hallways. "Oh, I'm sorry I didn't introduce myself. I'm Midori Yuko. I teach physics at the university."
"I'm Sakura," the teen replied. She knocked at the door.
"He hasn't come back from the university yet. I've been waiting to talk to him about some items he asked me to carbon date," Yuko informed. "Hopefully he'll be back soon."
Sakura nodded, and began to fidget under the professor's gaze.
"Are you his only child?" Yuko questioned.
Sakura shook her head. "I have an older brother."
Yuko blinked. "How old is your father?"
Sakura put a finger to her chin. "I'm not really sure. I think we celebrated his fortieth birthday last year. Or was it a year or two ago? Oh, I can't even keep that straight."
"Are you staying with your mother?" Yuko wondered.
Sakura frowned. "My mother died when I was young."
"So, where are you staying now?" Yuko asked.
Sakura blushed. Rarely did anyone react well to her truthful answer. "With my husband. Yeah, I know I'm young. But I love him. We've been married for half a year now, and things are still a bit bumpy for us. It's hard running a house and managing family holdings when we're both in junior high."
Yuko stared at the girl in surprise. "Your father let you get married?"
Sakura shifted nervously. "Dad was in a similar situation when he married my mother."
Yuko nodded in thought. "I guess so. I didn't think he was old enough to even have a daughter your age, let alone a son that's even older. And where's your brother?"
"He moved in with his best friend while they're both attending the university," Sakura answered.
"I see." Yuko rubbed her chin.
"Hello."
"Dad, hi!" Sakura chirped.
Yuko jumped and nearly lost her hold of her brief case. "Hello, Professor Kinomoto."
Fujitaka smiled at them. "I hope you haven't been waiting long."
Sakura shook her head fiercely. "Professor Midori kept me company."
Yuko nodded nervously. "Yes, and I never knew you had such a charming daughter."
"Why don't we go in?" Fujitaka offered, motioning towards his apartment. He then opened the door and let his guests inside.
Sakura noted that while bookshelves had been erected around the room to the point you couldn't see the walls behind them, they had yet to be completely filled with the numerous books her father owned, most of which were still stuffed in boxes. She looked around for a place to put her flowering gift. "This is for you, Dad."
"I'll see where I can find a good place to put this." Fujitaka smiled sheepishly. "I still haven't finished putting everything away."
"Would you like help organizing?" Yuko quickly volunteered.
"That's all right. I have my own system to organize books," Fujitaka assured her. "So, what brings you here, Midori-san?"
"Huh? Oh, right. I got the carbon dating results." Yuko quickly riffled through her briefcase. "Where did they go? Ah, here they are."
Fujitaka took the results and frowned. "I was hoping these would be older. Well, at least they help confirm what most archaeologists already suspected." He then blinked. "Oh, would you like some tea?" he offered both girls.
"Certainly!" Yuko chirped.
Sakura gave the woman a questioning look, before agreeing to some tea as well.
---------------------------
"Dad, if you feel like dating again, you don't need my permission or oniichan's."
Fujitaka sat in his chair thinking over those final words that Sakura had told him before she left. Did he want to start dating? If so, whom would he ask? He had lived for so long caring for his children and remembering his beloved Nadeshiko, that the idea of seeing another woman had never registered to him. It had been over ten years since his wife had passed away, and most people would've sought company long before now.
The professor stood up and opened one of his many boxes. He began pulling out the books and placing them on a shelf he mentally marked for Egypt's second dynasty. His personal system was easy for him to use, but would likely confuse most people. The sorting system began first with the region the book specialized in, then age, and finally author. It took little thought for him to place them. As such, Sakura's words continued to haunt his mind.
Fujitaka didn't know what to think. He still had a hard enough time thinking of this apartment as his home. His stuff might be strewn around the place, yet it felt more like an office to him than a home. Breakfast was doughnuts and coffee on the way to campus, while lunch and dinner came from the various eateries. He had little reason to cook now. His daughter and son no longer needed him. Not even for money.
Fujitaka almost felt like he was a college student all over again. On his own, with little in the way of responsibilities beyond his classes. And he had certainly dated while he was a student. Though none of those girls had ever come close to generating the feelings Nadeshiko had. She had been everything to him. Could any woman possibly replace her?
The professor shook his head. No one could replace his beloved wife. Accepting that didn't mean he had to remain alone. His children had both found love and companionship. He could find someone else to love. Someone to keep him warm on cold nights. Perhaps even have another child.
What was he thinking? Fujitaka shook his head. He hadn't even considered whom he might want to date, and he was already jumping to having another family. This wasn't something he could just jump into. He needed to think it over. Take his time. He may have a married daughter, but he was still in his early forties. He was still young.
Fujitaka jumped when his phone rang. He shook his head to clear it before picking up the phone. "Hello, Professor Kinomoto speaking... Ah, Midori-san, what can I do for you...? Huh? Your briefcase?" He looked around the room and then smiled. "Ah, I see it. Yes, you forgot it here." He then paused in thought. Maybe... Well, all things begin with taking a step. "Midori-san, are you hungry...? Why don't we meet somewhere for dinner? I'll bring your briefcase..."
---------------------------
Sakura skidded to a stop in front of her house and sighed. She opened the mailbox and pulled out the letters, wondering why her husband hadn't done so already. She looked up hearing someone approached and smiled ruefully. "Hello, Officer Matsuda."
"Good evening, Li-chan. How are you today?" the policeman asked.
"I'm good. You?" Sakura returned.
"A few tickets, one person argued vehemently against it of course, two calls of truancy on Yamazaki-chan and one call of abandonment on your husband," Matsuda recounted.
"So, a typical day, huh?" Sakura giggled.
Matsuda nodded. "Pretty much. Be sure to keep your husband in line."
Sakura smirked. "I'll see about not adding an abuse charge to your day, but no promises if he doesn't have dinner ready. See you around."
"Good-bye, Li-chan." The police officer waved before walking off.
Sakura shook her head as she approached her front door. Getting to know Officer Matsuda had not been something she had wanted to do, but nosey neighbors were concerned when they didn't see any adults living at her house and called the police to investigate. It took a bit to get Matsuda to understand the marriage, and he added her house on his daily routine while on duty, but he did finally accept that she was married to Syaoran and that they were able to be live independently of their parents.
Entering her home, Sakura scowled as her stomach growled in protest. Syaoran was asleep on the couch, and there was no hint of anything cooking in the kitchen. She stomped toward her husband and hissed cutely, "Syaoran!"
Syaoran blinked awake. "Sakura? What are you doing home already?"
"It's after seven o'clock," Sakura retorted.
"Wha?" Syaoran sat up and looked at the clock. "Shit. Sorry. I didn't mean to fall asleep."
Sakura folded her arms. "'Sorry,' doesn't put food on the table, and I'm hungry NOW."
Syaoran rubbed his forehead. "Fine, fine. I'll make something right away."
Sakura huffed. "And you can do the dishes tonight too for not having it ready."
"Whatever." Syaoran sighed. "When did I become the housewife?"
"I heard that." Sakura went to start a load of laundry, before arriving in the kitchen to see what she could do to help her husband make dinner faster.
"How's your father?" Syaoran asked.
"He's good. Not quite moved in yet." Sakura shrugged. "I don't think he quite accepts his apartment as being 'home' for him yet. Felt more like an office to me."
"You had enough problems accepting this house as your home," Syaoran reminded.
"I know. It takes time to adjust to all things, but you eventually get used to things-- like your smelly socks," Sakura quipped.
Syaoran let out a sardonic laugh. He then noticed that his wife didn't seem entirely focused. "Anything else on your mind?"
Sakura pouted. "I'm not sure, but I think someone might like my Dad. When I went to his apartment, he wasn't home yet. But I wasn't alone. There was this physics teacher who had been waiting for him as well, and she acted kind of funny."
"Funny how?" Syaoran wondered.
"Like a school girl, I guess. She just seemed a bit too giddy for a teacher." Sakura shook her head. "Maybe I'm reading too much into it."
Syaoran laughed. "If you noticed that much she must be crushing hard for your father."
Sakura scowled cutely. "Dear, you make it sound like I'm blind."
Syaoran pinched the base of her chin. "When it comes to this sort of stuff, you usually are. You never realized that I loved you until I told you."
"True." Sakura sighed. "And I had no clue Tomoyo-chan LIKED me until she told me." Her face then quirked. "Then that means that teacher really does like my father. He might end up dating her soon."
"If he's not as blind as you are in matter of love," Syaoran joked.
"Doubt it, and it probably helped that I did encourage him to start dating before I left." Sakura frowned deeply. "Still, the idea of Dad dating and doing the stuff we do..." She shuddered.
"You've met my mother. Can you imagine her doing anything like that? And she had to do it at least five times." Syaoran made a strangled noise.
Sakura let out a hollow laugh. "I guess no one likes thinking of their parents actually doing the stuff that made them be parents in the first place."
---------------------------
Sakura yawned loudly. She then glanced at her husband. Not only had they stopped having sex almost everyday, they didn't always go to bed at the same time. While neither of them were morning people, she was more an afternoon person and he was most awake in the late evening. As such, he tended to go to sleep after she did.
As disturbing the earlier talk of their parents making children was, it did make her think. The concept of having a baby didn't scare her as much as it did when she first got married. In fact, with each passing day she found herself longing more and more to have Syaoran's child. And she wanted to laugh at the thought of how her future children would react to notions of her having sex. However, thinking about having a baby wouldn't happen if she didn't make love.
Sakura leaned over and whispered into her husband's ear. "I'm going to bed." Her right hand brushed against his crotch before she got off the couch. The television was off and he was right behind her by the time she reached the hallway. She smirked at being able to rile him up so easily.
Turning around after she opened the bedroom door, Sakura quickly found her husband's lips upon her own. She stumbled backwards as he pushed her towards the bed. She let out a sound of surprise as she met the side of the bed and fell upon it.
Syaoran lifted his wife's skirt out of the way and began to touch her trough her panties. She moaned for him as the imitation silk fabric rubbed against her pussy. That lasted for only a moment before he pulled the crotch of the panties aside and exposed her intimate flesh. His fingers then delved inside her, finding her moist but not nearly wet enough.
Sakura sat up and made her own plans for this encounter known. She reached for Syaoran's pants and quickly freed his length from its constraints. She kissed the tip and licked around the head before pulling away. She then removed her shirt and worked to make herself naked. By the time she was sliding her lower clothes off her body, her husband was already nude.
Syaoran moved as his wife directed him. He laid down alongside her, yet opposite in direction. The opening between her legs was in front of his face, while his cock was pointing at her mouth. And she wasted no time taking his length, sucking and licking him. He quickly returned the favor, his tongue delving into her special hole. His hands moved to her rear, massaging and kneading her ass cheeks as best he could.
They had tried this position before with one on top of the other, but that left the one at the bottom in a rather precarious position, especially for Sakura when his rod was pushed to her throat. While they liked the pleasure they could give each other, doing it while on their sides proved to work the best for them-- allowing them the most control and movement. Still there was some awkwardness. As they continued to tongue each other's treasures, Sakura wished she could lower her increasingly tired leg-- but doing so would greatly inhibit what Syaoran could do for her.
Sakura knew her husband was close when his hips began to thrust toward her. She sped up her actions and prepared herself as his penis erupted into her mouth. As experienced as she was in this, she still gagged as his white juices coated her throat. She pulled away from him as his member continued to ooze. She wasn't quite satisfied herself, but that was why she liked orally pleasuring each other first. It got her ready and made it take him longer to orgasm during actual sex. She moved to kneel in front of his face and fingered herself to keep herself ready for the main course of this encounter.
Watching your beloved masturbate had to be one of the fastest way to get hard and ready. Syaoran moved to kneel in front of her and began kissing her deeply, his fingers joining her own between her legs. He took a moment to figure how he wanted to proceed in this, and pulled away when he figured out how. He guided her toward the middle of the bed and pawed her to be on her all fours.
"Not in the ass this time," was Sakura's only request.
"Just wanting to be as I'm named," Syaoran quipped. Though thankfully not completely. His name might mean 'little wolf,' but he certainly didn't feel there was anything 'little' about him.
There was nothing more that was said before Syaoran mounted Sakura like a wolf would, her small body covered and penetrated by his. It quickly took all their strength to hold themselves up with their arms as his length moved within her love canal. Their moans and growls of pleasure mixed in the air with the musky aroma of sweat soaked sex. Her arms gave out first and he wrapped her in a hug, pulling her backwards. She was half-sitting on his lap as he continued to thrust up into her body, pushing himself deeper and deeper into her being.
The night's pleasure finally exploded in the girl as she rode her husband. Her orgasm caused her whole body to shudder against his. The delight in making his wife cum for him and the feelings of her cunt spasming around his length helped to push him over the brink. Yet her orgasm began to wane before his seed erupted inside her.
Exhausted and panting, the pair collapsed on to the bed. They cuddled close to each other, looking deeply into each other's eyes.
"I love you, Syaoran," Sakura whispered.
Syaoran kissed her nose. "I love you, too."
"Now if only you'd say that at some time other than after we had sex," Sakura complained jokingly.
"You don't exactly say it outside the bedroom either," Syaoran pointed out.
Sakura stuck her tongue out. "Details." She lightly rubbed her fingers over his side. "I know I talked about having an abortion if I got pregnant before."
Syaoran immediately stiffened. "WHA?!"
Sakura placed a finger over his lips. "Calm down. I'm not pregnant. At least I don't think I am."
"Don't scare me like that," Syaoran chastised.
Sakura scowled slightly. "I'm trying to say something important here. IF I became pregnant soon, I'd love to have your baby."
Syaoran laughed a little, not sure how else to respond. He hugged her tightly. "You are already my wife and family. You don't need to have my baby to prove it."
"I know. But I'd like to have a baby, your baby." Sakura then smirked. "And think of all the fun you'll have helping me get pregnant."
Syaoran kissed his wife gently on the lips. "Perhaps too much fun."
"There's no such thing as 'too much,'" Sakura insisted. Her hands move to wander over his flesh, and his hands against her own. Soon, they attempted to make the girl's wish a reality.
---------------------------\_
---------------------------/
Time passes and things change, Sakura observed. At ten she had the largest crush on her brother's best friend and Syaoran had just been the new kid at school. By twelve, she accepted that her first love wasn't just her brother's best friend, but his lover, and Syaoran had turned from somewhat rival to friend to her boyfriend. After he returned from Hong Kong and bought a house, he quickly became her lover and husband. She moved into his house as his wife when she was just a junior high school girl, and her father moved across town and her childhood home was sold. Things seemed to become normal until the start of senior high school. Syaoran had given her an unexpected birthday present, though it was a bit of surprise that the 'present' hadn't happened sooner.
Now Sakura stood looking out the front window of her home, watching a group of girls walk pass on their way to school. She would not be joining them, and had not been allowed to go to school for most of the past year. She had not attended a class since she learned she was going to have the tiny infant that now slept in her arms.
Holding her son for the first time had been the happiest moment in her life. Happier than even hearing Syaoran tell her that he loved her or when she finally told him. Not yet seventeen, and she had everything she ever wanted: a loving husband, a safe home, financially secure, and her own precious baby. She had never known love so impossibly deep until the moment she first held her son. Nor had any place felt more like her home than when she brought her baby home. She would get to watch him grow up in these very rooms.
Sakura sighed. "Syaoran, you're running late, again."
Syaoran dashed into the room, and gave her a quick kiss. "Sorry, Dear. I'm off."
"Have fun at school," Sakura wished.
"Yeah, right. See ya." Syaoran rushed out the door.
Sakura sighed watching her husband disappear from sight. Her own life hadn't been the only changes. Chiharu had a baby of her own now as well, a baby girl who was now a few months old. Touya and Yukito were talking about adopting. Her father was starting to get really involved with his fifth girlfriend since he moved to the college, a waitress he met four months ago. Rika eloped and moved away with her beloved, while Tomoyo wished she could run away from her suitors. And Naoko had been tutoring the star pitcher of the school's baseball team, and was now dating him. Things were moving forward, and perhaps time will repeat itself once again with her and all her friends having daughters at the same time so that they may be friends in school just as all their mothers had been.
For now, though, all those thoughts meant nothing. All that mattered was caring for her baby. Let time sort out the rest when it was due. She would be right where she needed to be, in her home with her son.

Author's Notes:
The first four parts of this was all written and the same time. This final part was added due to the fact that there didn't seem to be a solid ending.
Getting pregnant will get a girl expelled, when there is almost no other way of permanently getting kicked out of school before tenth grade due to anti-discrimination laws in Japan. Even in the case of murder, such as the one committed by an elementary school girl nicknamed 'Nevada-tan,' at an age where she couldn't be criminally charged she and couldn't be expelled either-- only sent to a reformatory school. Her age was eventually legally set aside by court ruling and was institutionalized.
