Chapter 1:
"A New School, or not?"
(Chapter dedicated to Kurai-Mizukior Rai-chan)
Sakura Tohomiko quickly rushed out of bed and washed up in her bathroom. She changed into the new school uniform. A white shirt, red tie, blue skirt, and white socks. Gently tugging the mini-skirt she sighed and mumbled, "This skirt is so tiny!" she groaned and then brightened up when she remembered the present her best friend Tomoyo had given her. Fishing out the identical skirt from the closet, she pulled it on instead.
It was exactly the same, except it was a skort, a skirt with attached shorts that were too short to see. Smiling happily, Sakura grabbed a blue and white ribbon and tied her hair into a ponytail with a blue elastic and tied a bow with the ribbon. She ran downstairs and greeted her father and her brother, "Ohayo Ottu-san, Onni-chan!" she said cheerfully. "Ohayo Sakura-san, do you have time to eat your asagohan?" her father asked her. Sakura shook her head, "Gomen ne ottu-san, but it's a new school so I don't want to be late," she said quickly.
Hiro, Sakura's older brother laughed whole-heartedly, "Hey bakemono Sakura, don't forget to remind yourself not to eat the school for breakfast!" he teased her as she ran out the door. "Onni-chan! Sakura no bakemono!" she cried as she rollerbladed to her new school. As she neared the gates she tripped over a rock in her path and went flying, "Hoee!" she screamed. Sakura shut her eyes tight and waited for the impact, counting the seconds.

"Hmmm… the sidewalk isn't that far away form my face," she thought to herself when she felt a hot breath on her neck and finally felt the arms around her waist.
"You know, you're not going to fall so you might as well stand up," a masculine voice said as strong arms pulled her up, the boy had sleek black hair and crystal eyes.
Sakura blushed and moved out his grip, "Gomen Nasai uhh.." she said, looking up to meet his crystal eyes. "Karon," he said smiling, "Karon Kyocidoci," he shook hands with her. "Gomen ne Kyocidoci-san….and.. Arigatou, demo I have to go now," she said smiling at him brightly and rushing off into the school office.
"Ohayo senseii," Sakura said politely bowing to the principal. The principal, Anita Matetonsi smiled at the new girl. She noticed that Sakura had an aura of innocence and happiness around her and was more than pleased to have at her school, but first she had to take the test.
"Ohayo Tohomiko-san, please follow me to the library where you will take your test," Matetonsi senseii said to Sakura sharply. Sakura bolted up and follwed her, "H-Hai Matetonsi senseii," she said sweetly as she sat down on a table. The principal placed a two page test in front of her and gave her a pouch full of pencils, pens and what not. "You have a 45 minute time limit, you may begin now. I shall return after the time to take the test to correct, good luck," Matetonsi senseii said curtly.
Sakura nodded and eagerly began the test, after looking at the questions she had realized it was really easy so she pretended to be working until the principal left. Then, she quickly wrote down the answers, turned her paper upside down and put her head down, examining the library of her new school.
Sakura wasn't too happy to happy to transfer from Tomoeda elementary school to Crescent Junior High, but she decided she'd make the best of it. After all, there was no 7th grade in her old school and her friends Tomoyo and Minako were here too.
Sakura sighed as she thought of her friends, Tomoyo and Minako considered her as their best friend, but Sakura simply lived by the fact that she had no best friends. She was different from your ordinary crowd and didn't quite fit in, but Minako and Tomoyo were still forever loyal to her.
Sakura giggled as she imagined Tomoyo's usual starry-eyed expression everytime Sakura tried on one of the outfits Tomoyo had made for her. Minako would be there laughing her head off at Tomyo's enthusiasm and complimenting Sakura about a billion times. Sakura smiled, "What would I do without my friends?" she asked herself.
Suddenly the door opened and a class filed in. The teacher, called Mikaro-senseii by one of the students eyed Sakura and then came up to her. "O namae wa?" he asked. Sakura bolted up and curtsied, "Tohomiko Sakura desu senseii, I am taking the admission test for 7th grade. "aaah" Mr. Mikaro said, smiling at her, "well if you don't mind it's library period for the 6th grade. I'm sure they'll be quiet enough for you to concentrate, eh Tohomiko-san?" he asked her.
Sakura nodded and smiled, "It's okay, I have finished my test already and it'd be nice to see how classes here are like," she said politely. Mr. Mikaro smiled at the thoughtful student and ushered the class, "Now, Sixth graders, please act like true crescent school students so you can show Tohomiko-san here what great students you are and what a great school this is," he said before going and sitting at the teacher's desk area.
The students first checked the assigned table list before heading to the assigned tables. Minako who was in sixth grade was on the same table where Sakura was sitting, "Sakura-chan!" she squealed in delight. Sakura smiled cheerfully, "Hey there Minako," she said, equally delighted. A boy sat at their table, his face hidden by the book he was reading. "Konnichiwa, Tohomiko Sakura desu, and who are you?" Sakura asked him trying to be nice. Sakura saw him gasp, but then quickly groan, "No one," he said monstrously. Sakura sighed and rolled her eyes, "how rude." She murmured when he didn't answer her greeting.
"He's the bakemono of the class," Minako said giggling at 'little' conversation she had just seen, "usually he doesn't really even answer, you're a lucky first he said two words to, other than teachers of course," she explained, seeing the boy groan again. Sakura eyed the boy and sighed, "Sounds like someone I knew a while ago, but it can't be him. Seriously, boys with that kind of a personality are truly retarded," she said to Minako, seeing the boy bolt up and sit straight in his seat.
"Oh really?" he asked, slamming his book on the table, he had dark brown hair and hazel eyes. Minako's eyes widened in surprise, "Wow, he spoke to Sakura-chan, he never speaks to anyone except the teachers!" she thought to herself.
Sakura gasped, her shining emerald eyes widened in shock and her slender hand covered her mouth in shock. The boy's expression changed and his face turned red. He nearly gaped at her before mumbling nervously and grabbing his book to cover his face again. Sakura gasped again, moaned and slammed her head on the table, "Oh no," she whispered. The boy did the same.
Minako watched in amusement, Sakura-chan knew this guy?! "Sakura-chan?" she asked. Sakura looked up, "Mina-chan meet Hiratiko Shingo," she said sighing. Minako gasped, "THE Hiratiko-san you told me about?!" she asked histerically. Sakura nodded in despearation as the two of them had a sudden memory recall… Unknown to them, Shingo was recalling the same memory….
It was a bright sunny day, the 5th of March and she was getting ready for a party at her mom's friend's house. She had known Mrs. Hiratiko and her son since she was a little girl. Shingo and her were good friends, must I say…
But today would be different, it was not going to be a regular "nice to see you after 6 years, please enjoy the party reunion", it was going to be a horrific nightmare that Sakura would never forget…
Well that's a pretty long chapter. I would've gone on to the whole memory recall, but I realized that I wrote too much, so Gomen Nasai! Although, you have to admit that it's a really good cliffhanger, isn't it? Anyhow, I have to go now… Please review and give me any comments or suggestions for my story. Arigatou,
Sakura.
