Other Notes: 1: They're all in Eriol and Tomoyo's point of view, or POV.

2: Kind of AU. I mean, ya don't see Tomoyo cussing everyday..

3: If you don't know, AU means Alternative Universe..I think. Which means that ya

Chapter 1

The Day We Met

~Tomoyo's POV~

Eriol. Oh how I hate that name. I hate it, hate it, HATE it! Not to mention him as well.

And what does he think about me? You'd think he'd hate me back, right? But NO! He DOESN'T, Goddammit! Instead, he finds it funny. He flirts with me in a funny, joking way like he doesn't mean it. Everyday, it never fails, there's a Sakura blossom on my desk, and when I turn behind to look at him, he has that smirk on his face.

It started on that day. The day we met . . .

It started out like a day no other. Sakura-chan was late, and came rocketing into class a couple minutes after the bell rang. Terada-sensei shook his head at her exasperatedly, while a few kids snickered. I shot them all glares; they all stopped immediately.

Sakura-san took her place next to me. She looked behind me and then nudged me. "Tomoyo-chan," she whispered, "Who's the guy behind you?"

I glanced behind me. It was a new guy. I didn't give much care. I shrugged my shoulders and and turned my attention back to Terada. Um, sensei.

We didn't talk much. But all that changed during recess.

You know, I usually just love recess. We get out of that boring, stuffy classroom. But no. Mr. Blue Haired Boy with Glasses changed that!

I was walking along with Sakura-chan under the cherry blossom tree. And SOMEONE thinks it's funny to stick their leg out and trip me. Which I did. I fell flat on my face.

That's when the war started. Everyone saw that. Everyone laughed. I was embarrased like HECK. And nobody embarrases Tomoyo Daidouji.

Except Eriol Hiiragizawa, that is. He's the only that's ever gotten away with it.

Which is why I hate him. I hate him like heck, the boy named Eriol Hiiragizawa.

~*~

~Eriol's POV~

Ah, I love Daidouji-san! Not like that! But it's so fun to tease her. And quite easy too. It started on the first day I came to Tomoeda, and tripped at recess. Ever since, she's hated me like heck, and it's a mutual feeling, although I don't show it like she does.

I bend down to pick a cherry blossom that just fell down from the cherry blossom tree. Ah, I think to myself. Perfect.

I started this tradition last week. Yes, I only came last week, and we're enemies already. On my second day of school, I thought it'd be funny to put a sakura blossom on her desk, with a note signed by me. And the results? Uproaring.

Let me see . .yes, I think I should tell you the very first time I did it. Especially the note I put . . oh yeah I crack myself up.

I had the funny idea to pick the cherry blossom, first of all. I plucked it from the tree gently, and set out to write a small but tidy note.

Daidouji-san,

You take my breath away.

Love,

Eriol Hiiragizawa

Laughing silently, I placed it carefully on top of her desk. This was going to be funny.

And just to set the matter straight, she does NOT take my breath away. Oh, except for when she makes me laugh so hard and I'm running out of air. That's an exception.

Okay, so where was I? Oh, right. The funniest part came next.

Tomoyo, or darling as I call her to get her pissed off, walked in, and sat straight in her desk. She looked a little bit surprised seeing the cherry blossom. I saw her smell and take in its beautiful fragrance. I could tell that she smiled. Until she saw the note.

I swear I could see her shaking. But I couldn't tell if it was because of laughter, or anger. The answer soon came.

She whirled around faster than the blink of an eye and . .

Slapped me. Hard. And loud.

A lot of our classmates turned around to see what the smack was. I could see Yamazaki shaking with silent laughter. I'd have to talk to him about that.

A few people, like Rika-san and Naoko merely shrugged and turned back away. The same thing with Chiharu, but a completely different reaction from Sakura.

She stared at Tomoyo, mouth hanging open. I remember that day well. She had hissed, "Tomoyo! What are you doing?"

And I remember Tomoyo had answered in the calmest voice. "Why, nothing Sakura. Just slapping the boy I hate."

And that's how it started.

So here I am again, writing an identical note to Tomoyo-san. I can't wait to see her reaction. Silently I crept into the empty classroom, and placed the cherry blossom and the note on top of her desk.

~*~

~Tomoyo's POV~

When I woke up this morning, I had a very very huge headache. It hurt like crazy. I heard my mother's voice at the door. "Tomoyo! Come on, Tomoyo-chan, we're going to be late!"

I ignored her and encased myself deeper into the blankets. But soon ater that, my mother whipped the blankets off me. "To-mo-yo!"

"I have a huge headache," I mumbled.

I saw my mother get worried. "Laura!" she called. "Laura! Come bring me the thermometer!"

One of our maids bustled in with the thermometer. My mom slipped it into my mouth. A few moments later, she took it out of my mouth. "Oh my!" she exclaimed. "One hundred and ten degrees! You're not going to school today, young lady."

And then she left leaving me alone in the room.

Oh I hate it when she calls me 'young lady'.

Oh well. At least I won't get that stupid cherry blossom on my desk today from Hiiragizawa.

~*~

~Eriol's POV~

I waited and waited. The bell finally rang. I smirked to myself that handsome smirk I always have. But for some reason, Daidouji-san never showed up. I saw Terada . . sensei frown when he looked at her empty seat.

"That's strange," he said. "Tomoyo-chan's never been absent or late before."

Ha. As usual, Perfect Little Tomoyo. I can't help wondering why she didn't show up though. I mean, like Terada said, "Tomoyo-chan's never been absent before."

And I am extremely disappointed. She won't get to see my cherry blossom!

During Recess . . .

Yamazaki came up to me. We're pretty good friends. We both love to make up stories which no one believes. Except for Sakura-chan and Syaoran "my cute little descendant" but it's still fun.

"Hey Eriol," he said. "Did you hear about Tomoyo?"

At this I started listening intently. "What about the pistol?"

Yamazaki laughed. "Another new nickname?"

I shrugged. "I was doing that book report . . you know, Bloomability, and I thought it was a good nickname."

"Um, alright. Well, did you hear?"

"No!" I said impatiently. "What's up?"

"I overheard Sakura telling Naoko, Rika, and Chiharu that Tomoyo's out sick today with a big fever! 110 degrees, Eriol!"

As much as I hate 'the pistol', I kind of got worried. I mean, a hundred ten degrees isn't something small.

"Are you sure?" I asked him.

Yamazaki nodded his head fervently. "Of course! Sakura's Tomoyo's best friend. And Sakura isn't exactly the lying type, is she?"

"I guess . ." I replied. "I think I'll go visit her after school."

Yamazaki coughed and pretended to gag. "Excuse me? YOU'RE going to visit Tomoyo Daidouji, your worst enemy, whom you have over TWENTY nicknames for? Your worst enemy, whom you gave a cherry blossom on the second day of school, and she slapped you for that in front of the entire class? Your worst enemy, who--"

"Alright, Yamazaki," I cut in, "I get the picture."

Yamazaki smiled sheepishly. "Gomen."

"So, you wanna come with me?"

He sighed. "All right then. This should be interesting . ."

After School . .

Right after school, Syaoran (SYAORAN!) approached me (APPROACHED ME! HIS WORST ENEMY!) . You can see why I'm so surprised.

"Hiiragizawa!" he shouted at me.

Wow. He knows my name.

Now, don't get me wrong. I love my kawaii descendant (as a friend ONLY!) but, you'd be surprised too if your worst enemy yelled at you right after school. You'd think he's about to beat you up!

"What?" I said after he came closer.

"Is it true?" he asked me.

"What's true?" I asked a little edgily. I was getting quite tired of all these people just not saying stuff out straight and replacing it with crap.

"That you're going to visit--" he lowered his voice dramatically. "Tomoyo Daidouji."

He then looked at me expectantly for an answer.

"Well--"I began, then stopped. "How'd you know that?"

Syaoran laughed lightly. "Duh, Hiiragizawa!! You know what big mouths everyone has here!"

"Great," I said bitterly. "Now I'm the main source of gossip."

"So," he said. "You're really going to see--" he lowered his voice again. "Tomoyo Daidouji?"

Great. Just great. Exactly what I need. Everytime someone's going to say 'the pistol's' name, they're going to lower their voice dramatically. Yup.

"'Course I am!" I said brightly, showing him the cherry blossom and the note. "Remember this?"

He nodded.

"Well, I have to give it to her," I said in a matter-of-fact tone. "You know how I love to get Daidouji pissed off."

Syaoran nodded carelessly. "Alright then, Hiiragizawa. But one move toward Sakura, and you DIE!"

And then he left, leaving me alone. I burst out laughing. The Little Wolf and the Cherry Blossom. Perfect title for a story, no?

"Eriol!" I heard Yamazaki call me.

"Yeah?" I said.

"Well, let's go then," he said.

I breathed out heavily. "Alright. Let's go to the pistol's house."

A/N~ Hello there peoples! Well, so ends the first chapter of Plum Blossoms!!

Oh, by the way, Bloomability is a book by Sharon Creech. I got that book from my teacher

last year.

And I think I should give you all a little preview of the next chapter . . .

~Sneak Preview~

~Eriol's POV~

Yamazaki and I slowly entered the pistol's huge house. Dang it was big. Maids and servants were everywhere. I asked the butler for the pis--I mean Tomoyo. He showed me a big room, and I entered.

"Uh, Daidouji-san?" I called, for no one was there.

And out of the bathroom came the most beautiful girl. "Yes?" she said.

"Who are YOU?" I asked.

That girl paled, and let out a shriek.

~End of Preview~

A/N~ OK, a little sucky, but I didn't really think of anything for the next chapter yet. But I promise you guys, I'll get the next chapter ASAP!
