Real People
Chapter Once
Kinella was a young girl of twelve--not a child, but not a teen. That inbetween age that separated childhood from adolescence. Her eyes always sparkled, her mouth always smiled. Kinella was on top of the world. It would often be speculated that, perhaps, her innocent happiness and naive joy caused her to overlook the usually [unbearably so] bright, blue sky's darkening. In fact, no one noticed the storm clouds gathering. Possibly because everyone was so used to the sky being cheerful and bright every day and never felt the need to look if even for a moment. People would later say that perfection could be considered too perfect.
It would also later be mentioned that many thought they heard Kinella's nia, Tineella, fervently say, "We can't let him win! ...-I- won't let him win. I'll rip his heart from his body!" However, no one would ever remember of whom the woman had been speaking. Mostly because that had been the day Illsilkio was destroyed.
Sakura and Sarah were trudging wearily on through a very thick area of the forest when Sarah's foot collided with a tree root and sent her sprawling face down onto the ground.
"That's what? The fifth time you've tripped today?" inquired Sakura as she helped Sarah stand back up.
"Totally not my fault. I swear the tree roots are all plotting against me," the trippee complained. Sakura opened her mouth to reply but gasped instead.
"GASP! Sarah! The barrier keeping me from my cards! It's gone!" Sarah was extremely puzzled for why would the barrier suddenly disappear? The sense it made was very little and very much obscure - not to mention hard to wrap one's mind around.
"Are you sure? Absolutely, positively sure?"
"Maybe it's because he knows we won't leave without our friends," mused Sakura. Sarah, having turned every possible idea over in her head over fifty times, agreed on a small level with her traveling companion. Sakura then brought forth her wand, called forth Fly, focused it into her wand instead of giving herself wings, hopped on, and motioned for Sarah to join her aboard the skinny pink wand that now had wings. The young author, after having gotten over the previous and next run-on sentence, gulped once before climbing onto the wand and settling herself behind Sakura who, as soon as Sarah was seated, took them to the air with Sarah screaming for dear life all the way.
"Hey, look at it this way," said the mistress of the cards, "At least now you won't trip and fall flat on your face anymore!"
"Hey! I've seen Card Captor Sakura! You're not the most graceful person in the world either, you know!" Sakura only laughed in response.
Mumbayerov - known as Mumba for short - took the opportunity of Kinella reminiscing and the three boys well bound to the wall to make his way over to Chris. He had decided that turning the actor into one of his zombies would, in a sense, still leave him alive. So, since Mumbayerov couldn't possibly have that, he brought up his gruesome, bony hand and shoved it into the unsuspecting man's chest. Blood poured out of Chris' mouth, nose, and the gaping wound in his chest and pooled on the floor in a dark red puddle beneath him. Within seconds he was dead.
Syaoran and Puck would have mourned the loss of their companion except for one small, teensy-weensy problem: they were still blindfolded. They did, however, have sense enough to worry. They had heard the gurgling sounds and could only hope that it was their captor gurgling some water in his mouth even though the idea was utterly ridiculous. Even though the man to Syaoran's left was no longer giving off any sounds of living or breathing. Even though the stench of blood hung thick in the air around them. Even though they could have sworn they heard their hated enemy murmer, "Mmmm... Human heart stew."
Sakura and Sarah landed softly a few feet away from Mumbayerov's extremely tall, unbelievably shiny fortress which had an extremely tall, unbelievably shiny gate.
"Does he have an affinity for tall, shiny objects or something?" Sarah grumbled almost to herself. Sakura became thoughtful and decided he might. Then she wondered why it is two plus two equals four but found no answer. Sarah was simply wondering why words were called 'words', numbers were called 'numbers', where the sky began, and a myriad of other deep yet brain-killing thoughts. The two girls tip-toed their way to the gate - making sure to keep out of sight by hiding behind bushes and trees along the path. Surprisingly, the way in was guarded by only one person. The guard was female and had long brown-blond hair to the small of her back and blue eyes. Her deep red armor glinted in the moon-lit daytime. Both Sarah and Sakura wondered how that was possible before the duo finally gave up and turned their attentions back to the guard. For some odd reason, she looked very familiar to Sarah. As the duo neared, the guard swiftly turned so that she was facing their direction and gave a crisp command that they better show themselves. Nervously, Sarah and Sakura walked out from where they had been hiding and walked toward the commanding female guard.
"Well, well, well," came from the derisive guard, "What have we here? A couple spies? Or maybe just a couple of spineless, worthless rebels against the rule of Master Mumbayerov?" It was then that she noticed Sarah's close scrutiny. "What! You got a problem?"
"No, you just seem oddly... familiar. Do I know you from somewhere?" Her careful scrutiny gave her notice as to the guard's badge. 'So, her name is Moyima. Interesting... Nope, don't know anyone by that name.' Sakura was simply looking on with a tense and confused expression on her face. 'Moyima' snorted.
"Not unless you're a member of the online Luke/Vader Yahoo! Writer's Group! Of which I am owner and, therefore, would never allow the likes of you to join!" Moyima's haughty words only served to confuse Sarah and Sakura even further.
"But... If you're the owner of an online group for writers, why are you here and serving What's-His-Face?" inquired Sakura. Sarah, on the other hand, was too insulted and angry to notice the oddness of it all.
"Excuse me?! As if I'd WANT to join! Why would I want to waste my time doing something as pointless as reading and writing Luke/Vader stories when I could be having a life?! Unlike you, you weird, geeky, poor excuse of a freak!" Moyima was taken aback and glared quite threateningly at the younger girl.
"First of all, Master Mumbayerov asked me for my assistance since he knew I would be excellent in getting rid of little pests such as yourselves. Second of all, you are nothing but two little girls with no CLUE as to how to live! And at least I'm not some whiny, snot-nosed, spoiled brat!" Moyima was livid and it showed. Sakura was trying her hardest not to let her anger get the best of her. But Sarah... Sarah had had it. She was SICK and tired of all the running, walking, worrying... Not to mention occasional findings of limbs with hearts. And now, it was all leading to an eruption. She was exhausted, weary, scared and angry and she was all for letting it out on the poor, unsuspecting guard when she, somehow, realized something.
"YOU'RE MOYIMA! I've read your Star Wars fanfiction online! Don't you have some kind of war going on with Deja Vu? You really shouldn't be here." Both Sakura and Moyima stared at Sarah as if she had grown a tail, turned purple, and sprouted gum wrappers for ears. "What? ...At least I'm not the one who's been brainwashed by Mumba-What's-His-Butt."
Moyima just continued to stare at the odd girl standing before her. Sakura blinked cutely in a confused manner several times. Sarah... Sarah yawned and began day-night-whatever-dreaming of a nice, comfy bed with nice, comfy covers and a nice, comfy pillow. All in all, her imaginings were quite nice and quite comfy.
"PHWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!" Sarah and Moyima each jumped roughly five feet into the air.
"What is it, Sakura? WHAT'S WROOOOOOONG?" Moyima winced as the two annoyances added to her headache with their voices.
"We only have five days left!" Sarah could only gape. "We trudged forever! We're never going to get out of here alive! Well, actually, we could but... The guys! We can't leave them behind!"
"...You're right... Oh my goodness, you're right." Tears were streaming down both girls' faces at this point. Moyima, tired of all the happenings, allowed the two companions through the gate while wishing she had thought to buy some coffee before coming to work.
then why aren't you hear with me?
If we can shake our worlds apart
then why am I here with a broken heart?

*coughcough* Eh, sorry this took so long to finish. I've been doing other things. Ayup. However, you will please note the length of this chapter as well as the information and description and useless words contained in it. Well, things are starting to wrap themselves up! Only five days left and I plan on doing a chapter for every day! Kidding. I actually plan to do more than one chapter per day they have left. That doesn't mean that for five days I'm going to be cranking out the chapters. In fact, all it DOES mean is that each day/night/whatever will have more than one chapter dedicated to it. By the way, no one ever said I had to actually use up all the days in the story. Therefore, don't get your hopes up or down for a bunch more, okay?
