Card Captor Sakura Fan Fiction ❯ Real People ❯ Chapter Cuatro ( Chapter 4 )
[ Y - Young Adult: Not suitable for readers under 16 ]
disclaimer: Disney/Buena Vista owns Puck, Clamp owns CCS, and I own everyone else.
Eh, I have two endings for this entire fic in mind. So I'm gonna do this in advance: ten reviews get a happy ending and less than 10 get total and complete angst, despair, and hopelessness. Okay? Great. *smiles sweetly* Oh, just so you know, this will most likely be my longest series ever.
Real People
Chapter Cuatro
SARAH'S P.O.V.
I ran and ran. How far or long, I did not know. All I knew was that Sakura, Syaoran, and Puck were all dead. As I ran, though, I quickly came upon yet another site of death. All I could do was stare as a body grew from the severed head and still-beating heart. I soon recognized the person to be Syaoran. Scared and sick to my stomach, I ran yet again--this time with a corpse-turned-zombie chasing me right into a clearing filled with other zombies. Sakura, Puck, Amanda, Syaoran... All were dead zombies...
"You have thirty days. If you can find a way out of this forest by then, you and your friends will be spared. If not, one of two things will happen: 1) You will become my queen and your friends zombies. 2) You will all become zombies. Remember, you have thirty days..."
"Let me out of here!" I screamed. The forest and zombies were entrapping me in their deadly embrace. "LET ME OUT! PLEASE! LET ME OUT! Please... please...please let me out...let...me...out..."
I sat up straight as a nim-rod. What a horrible nightmare! My face felt wet and I lifted my hand to my cheek to find I had been crying. My friends were all crowded around me worriedly. I quickly told them the events of my dream.
"And that's everything," I reported. "Man, if we ever make it out of this morgue, I'm gonna take our whole adventure and turn it into a CCS horror fic and post it on Fanfiction.net! Already have the title, too! I think I'll call it 'Real People'."
"You're a fanfiction.net author?" asked an incredulous Syaoran. I was startled. Surely they would have recognized me!
"You mean you don't recognize me?" Both shook their heads no. Puck just tended to the fire. "I'll give you a hint: I'm the empress of the universe."
"Empress Sarah-sama?" asked a shocked Sakura. I nodded. "Hey! Do you think some other fanfiction.net author might have decided to put us all in this fic?"
"No, because that's not possible." At their confused looks, I continued. "What I mean is, I'm an author. I would know if this were just some story. 'Sides, not only would the author have shown themself by now, but we would have a script to go by! Therefore, this is not a fan fic!" SAKURA'S P.O.V.
It was a little hard to believe this girl was Empress Sarah. But looking a bit closer, I soon saw the truth. She was indeed the wondrous author both Syaoran and I knew and loved. And now the poor girl was stuck with us in some horrible death trap without her author powers to help save us. All because of my wish. I moved closer to Syaoran for reassurance. PUCK'S P.O.V.
Well, Sakura and Syaoran were right about one thing: I loved Sarah. Just not the way they thought I did. The love I had for her was the love one had for a daughter. And I knew the love she obviously felt for me was the love one had for a father. Sarah, of course, had realized all this long before I had. SYAORAN'S P.O.V.
I felt rather than saw Sakura move closer to me and I wrapped my arms around her lithe body. I watched dreadingly as Puck tried yet another time to get all of us out of here by means of his fae magic. Sarah was very scared, that any of us could see. But watching Puck fail in his magical attempts only proved to scare the young author even more. Sakura and I watched helplessly as tears ran down her face. It was then that I felt my shirt becoming wet. I glanced down to find Sakura also crying. Thirty days...and then we would all be doomed. THAT AFTERNOON...
Sarah wasn't about to give up all hope.
"Come on, Sakura! You have to try to release Fly!" she pleaded. Sakura gave a frustrated sigh.
"No magic will work here," she explained. "There are too many barriers preventing it." Syaoran grasped his beloved girlfriend's hand.
"I say we quit with the magic and try to think this through with our minds!" Syaoran was quickly becoming quite frustrated himself.
"If we could, we'd be out of here by now," whispered Sarah. Puck, having exhausted himself, had long ago lain down for a nap. Sarah yawned sleepily.
"I am so sleepy," she said. "Look, we'll worry about this later, okay?" With that, she also went to sleep.
"Sarah's right," said Sakura. "We should sleep a little first." Syaoran's eyes widened.
"Sakura! Wait!" Too late, Sakura had already fallen asleep. Syaoran tried to fight off the weariness tugging at his body. He knew it was all merely a trick of the enemy in order to make sure they never leave within the allotted time. Yet even as he knew this, he could not help but lay down next to Sakura and fall asleep as well. THE BAD GUY
"Soon, Princess, soon you shall be mine." The evil creature cackled evilly to himself as his zombies continued to work away. Eh, sorry it's so short. Anyway, like I said earlier, ten reviews win a happy ending. Less than ten--let's just say you won't like me much if that happens. Oh, and ~Strawberry-Sora~? I forgive you.
