2. Rising:

---------------------------------------------------------------- -

In the dark have I been for so long,

I have stopped counting time so long ago.

But even the longest, darkest night will some day be over.

I can feel it, my chance is coming.

My chance for revenge.

My sweet revenge I will share with you.

You may have forgotten me, but you will remember.

You will be mine again.

Forever.

Kero had already got used to the scene he saw when entering Sakura's room after having a "little" snack in the kitchen before going to bed. Sakura and Yue, both peacefully asleep, arms put around each others waists, both a light, content smile on their lips. Although he still had to get used to seeing Yue smile.

Kero often wondered what those two lovers were dreaming of after they fell asleep in their embrace. But that was none of his business. He slipped into his small bed in Sakura's drawer and draw his attention to his own dreams, that were filled with pudding, chocolate and ice cream and lots more.

Meanwhile, Sakura was having a dream totally different. Although it started quite nice.

The huge full moon shone down from a star set sky. Yue was standing there, some inches away, his back turned towards her.

"Yue-chan?", she asked. But Yue didn't react. Sakura began to feel uncomfortable. She saw how darkness rose over the moon's surface. "Yue-chan?", she asked again, "I am here."

The darkness had soon covered the whole moon and Sakura began to be really afraid. This all was not good. There was something, no, someone that caused all this. She made a step and reached out her hand to touch Yue's shoulder. She heard a voice.

"He is mine now and forever. See", the voice said. Sakura noticed a shadowy figure standing at Yue's side, putting one hand on his waist, but before she was near enough to see a face, the figure was gone. Now, Sakura walked around to get a look at Yue's face. And she yelped in shock. What she saw there was no longer her moon angel. His face was shadowed which made the whole of him seem dark, but the worst thing were his eyes. They had no longer the usual silvery purple color. Instead, they were entirely black and seemed empty and lifeless. Sakura jerked up with a scream and found herself in her bed. She breathed a sigh of relief.

"Sakura?", Yue got himself into a sitting position next to her. "Is something wrong?"

"I had a dream, a terrible dream. You, that voice, she was scary, and you, you were hers, she said, and, and, oh, it was so frightening, you, your eyes, everything so dark and empty. It was terrible." Sakura could hardly hold tears back. She shivered and Yue hugged her tightly, whispering into her ear:

"It was only a nightmare. Nothing like this will ever happen, I promise." He kissed her on the cheek and they both laid back down on the bed.

"I really hope so.", Sakura replied. She yawned.

"Try to get back asleep"; Yue said, "You need your rest."

But Sakura's eyes were already closed and she was peacefully asleep. Yue gave her another kiss and then closed his eyes. He quickly fell asleep cause of the calm sound of Sakura's slow breathing. This time, it was him who was dreaming.

-dream sequence-

"Did you really forget me?", a female voice asked.

"Who is there?", Yue asked back.

"Too bad,", the voice answered, "really too bad. But you will remember soon."

"What do you mean?", Yue asked, trying to locate the source of the voice.

Silence was all that followed.

-end of dream sequence-

AN: Haha, a little cliffhanger!
