-__Chapter 2__-

“Hiding out”

Sakura: What to wear, what to wear?

Kero: Sakura! Come in here, it's an emergency!

::Sakura runs into the kitchen::

Sakura: What wrong?!

Kero: I am all out of pancakes!!

::Sakura rolls her eyes and runs off to her room::

Sakura: Hmm, purple shirt with black pants or my yellow shirt with the blue skirt?

::Sakura taps her head and and then glances at her watch::

Sakura: I have to be at the arcade in 10 minutes!

::Sakura hears Kero yelling from kitchen::

Kero: Pancakes!! Pancakes!!

::Sakura hurriedly gets dressed and attempts to brush her hair but the doorbell rings::

Ding-Dong

Sakura: Who could that be?

::Sakura walks to door and passes by Kero who hides under the kitchen table, then Sakura opens the door and sees a police officer::

Sakura thinks to herself: Does he know I didn't go to school? Uh-Oh!

Police Officer:Hey is this the Kinnomoto residence?

Sakura: Uhh uhh yes it is sir.

Police officer: Are your parents home?

Sakura: Uhh yea…The reason why I am not in school is because I am in home schooling so of course my parents are home. They have to be here to teach me. Its not like I am missing school or anythi--.

Police officer: Can I speak with them?

::Sakura puts on a fake smile::

Sakura: Sure.

::Sakura shuts the door::

Sakura: What to do now?

Kero: Who was that.

Sakura: It's a police officer, I think he knows I didn't go to school or something. He wants to see my parents.

Kero: Uh oh!

Sakura: Hmm?

Kero: You know what happens to kids when they are caught ditching school?

Sakura: No what…?

Kero: They all get locked up in a juvenile prison for five years!

::Sakura whimpers::

Sakura: They do?

Kero: Yea at least that is what I saw in that one videog--

::Police officer knocks on the door::

Sakura: I cant let him find me!

::Sakura runs to the back door and “escapes”::

::Sakura runs to the arcade center to meet Tomoyo and tell her the bad news::

Sakura: Tomoyo! A police officer is out to get me and I don't know what to do!

Tomoyo: What a police officer? What did you do?

Sakura: I skipped school. Kero said that kids who skip school get sent to a juvenile prison for five years! I can't let them catch me!

Tomoyo: Or me!

::Sakura and Tomoyo go for the arcades exit as they pass by Li::

Li: Hey Sakura. You look nice to—

Sakura: Can't talk now! Really sorry.

Li: Wha? What's wrong?

Tomoyo: Police, Juvenile prison, ditch school, five years, can't let them find us!

Sakura: What she means to say is the police went by my house cause I didn't go to school today and Kero says that if you ditch school you could get five years in a juvenile prison!

::Li starts to worry::

Li: Is that true?

Sakura: Yes Kero said it was true.

Li: So where are you going?

Sakura: I don't know. Hopefully hide someplace until right before my dad gets home and then go home like nothing happened.

Li: I know a spot where we can all go and hide. Follow me.

::Sakura and Tomoyo follow Li out the door and 3 blocks down to a field with tall grass::

Li: Here we can stay here.

Sakura: Thanks.

::They all sit down in the tall grass::

Tomoyo: You guys stay here. I am going to go video tape that thing over there…yea.

::Tomoyo winks to Sakura::

Li: What was that all about:

::Sakura blushes::

Sakura: Eh heh. I don't know…

Li: Well what I was trying to say earlier is that you look nice today.

::Sakura turns as red as a cherry::

Sakura: Really? Thanks so do you.

Li: You don't seem like the person to skip school. Your so nice and quiet.

Sakura: Yea well the reason why I skipped school is because I wanted to see--.

Li: See what?

Sakura: Umm see my…favorite movie!

Li: Oh really? What your favorite movie:

Sakura: Oh that one with the girl that buys a bird and umm they fly away together…

Li:…..eh? Never seen that one. So did you ever get to see it yet today?

Sakura: Uhh nope.

Li: Cool maybe we could go together….this weekend.

::Li turns bright red then they lean forward as if to kiss when they all of a sudden see Tomoyo coming to get a closer look with her video camera::

Sakura: TOMOYO!!!

Tomoyo: What? I wanted to get that special moment caught on tape!

::Sakura and Li blush then Li glances at clock::

Li: Oh look at the time. Time sure goes by fast when your hiding out and having uhh *ahem* having special moments.

::They all say bye to eachother and run in different direction toward their house, while keeping an eye out for the police::
