Card Captor Sakura Fan Fiction ❯ Sakura the Soul Captor ❯ Hearts Reveal and Conceal ( Chapter 1 )
The spirits blew around her and she felt that empty feeling again. There she was back to the forest that haunted her. She was back on that lonely path and she couldn't go anywhere but forward. This time she walked further than before and found herself in front of a wooden house, small and made of logs that had been the trees that previously occupied that area. She felt strange forces from this house as though they were calling her. The spirits were calling her inside! She couldn't stop herself, they were controlling her to move forward. She heard thunder and felt that she couldn't resist so she would go in until the storm passed. When Sakura tried to open the door however it was locked. She tried fire, windy and water but all that did was weaken her. The house seemed to have a magical force field around it. Suddenly her Key of Clow started to glow and gently pulled itself toward the keyhole. She took it of and put the key in the hole.
It opened and the key vanished! It was pitch black inside and pin drop silent. She felt a chill as a ghost like boy appeared before her. He said in a cold voice " Beware for you may not want to face what is ahead of you!" She entered anyway because she had to get the key back. Then there was RINGGGGGG!!!! It was her alarm clock. She started to smack everything around her feeling for the clock. In the process smacking poor Kero across the room. He was knocked unconscious before he was conscious. (He was sleeping on her bedside table.) She finally stopped it and got up. Her vision was blurry at first and she accidentally stepped on Kero who on the floor. He woke with a start. She apologized and told him about the dream. He thought about it said it might mean something but not to worry about it. She screeched as she realized it was 9:00 am on Monday! She didn't realize it was so late! She ran all the way to school to be in time for 2nd period. After that it was a regular day. Tomoyo walked Sakura home as they talked. She told her everything but Tomoyo didn't seem to think much of it.
They were back in her room and doing homework. Then Sakura's dad came in and told Tomoyo her that her mother wanted her to come home before it rained. She left and as she closed the door a scarf that was hanging on the back fell to the floor. Sakura picked it up and remembered it was her mother's. She put it safely in a drawer and fell asleep, her mind buzzing with thoughts. She was back inside of the house and
as she went in, the door had closed behind her. Now it was so dark she couldn't see an inch in front of her. She took one step forward and felt like she was falling! She couldn't move either. It was hopeless! Then she stopped in midair and everything cleared around her. She was floating. It felt as though she was in a clear bubble that was drifting at the top of a large room. The room looked like some sort of museum. It had white walls and pictures of her everywhere. They depicted all the events of her life. Her key was back!
She summoned Fly and flew to the floor. She noticed that next to her foot was her mother's scarf! As she looked up there was a giant picture of her mother. It then disappeared to reveal a dark passageway! She walked toward the passageway and put her hand toward it. Her hand right through it as though disappearing into a sea of black, like she was going through a liquid wall. Her heart skipped a beat. Her Light Card suddenly flew out of her deck and started zooming away. She followed it on Fly because it was so fast. They were zigzagging through a maze of passages with millions of doors. It stopped suddenly before large wooden doors. These doors were special however. It was in a shape of a heart. (See a pattern?) They opened for her as though greeting her. She went inside to find a dark room except for a glowing heart shaped crystal! From it came her mother in ghostly form! She however felt warm and almost real. She said to the stunned Sakura "I still love you, Tori and your dad. I am here to warn you that danger is coming. You must be prepared to face a new enemy and be able to trust in your self. If you don't, you will lose someone you love a lot." With that she disappeared. Everything swirled around her in a blur of colors. There she was standing in the middle of her room holding the Soul Card.
