The absence of the boys was no accident. Chiharu had her husband pull Li away so she and her friends could pry a bit of information from Sakura. She suspected Meiling knew where the line of questioning would go and opted to go with the boys to avoid hearing things she didn't want to know about.
Naoko leaned towards the emerald eyed girl. "So... are you going to tell us what happened at the Summer Cabin?"
Sakura looked away. "Found out the summer cabin belongs to Tomoyo-chan and her mother and the 'nice old man' that lives near it is really my great-grandfather."
Naoko, Chiharu and Rika all blinked and slowly looked over at their now giggling friend.
"It's a little place to get away from every thing. The times Sakura was there was because Great-grandfather wanted to meet her," Tomoyo explained. "We hadn't told her because well..."
"He was the one who disowned my mother," Sakura finished with a huff. "They were afraid I'd hate him. I certainly don't like what he did, but I know mother still loved him even after he turned her away."
Rika nodded knowingly. "As much as you may dislike him, he's still family."
Sakura shrugged.
"What else happened?" Naoko pushed.
"Given my brother's reaction to meeting Kurogane, well..." Sakura trailed off.
Tomoyo mirrored Sakura's previous look as she looked way with a huff. "Even odds I'll end up married to him. It was weird seeing Touya-kun treating Kurogane as if he was Li-kun."
"Really?" the three girls chirped as one.
Sakura and Tomoyo both gave shallow nods.
"What else?" Naoko pressed.
Sakura bit her lip. "There was an attack."
Tomoyo sighed. "Best guess is her enemy hired a necromancer to have our ancestors attack her. Great-grandfather was originally from England and had our grandparents, her mother, a few other relatives buried near his home."
"Thankfully I was able to remember what I used to beat the undead during training to sever the spell animating them," Sakura related. "Unfortunately, using The Light flooded the area with my magic and washed away any other magical traces."
"Ah." Naoko nodded thoughtfully. "Though you do realize The Light only worked in training because you blinded me."
Sakura smiled sheepishly. "It still worked to free my ancestors without destroying their remains."
"Now what else happened," Naoko demanded.
"Well..." Sakura trailed off.
Tomoyo sighed. "They're going to keep asking until you tell them about what you've done with Li-kun."
Sakura pouted and looked at her married friend. "I never asked you about being with Yamazaki-kun."
Chiharu smirked. "You didn't have to. They did it for you."
Sakura blushed deeply, remembering all the times the others had pressed the girl for information on sex and desperately wanting to be some where else. Yet she had stayed and listened, no matter how uncomfortable it was. "I let Syaoran-kun see me and I touched him. I know I didn't go far enough for him, but he didn't push the issue. I know I should've... you know... finished. But I... well..."
"'Finish?'" Naoko wondered. "With sex? Blow job?"
"Hand, just my hand..." Sakura shifted uneasily.
Naoko huffed. "Here I thought I was the one lagging behind."
"I still haven't even kissed Kurogane, or anyone else," Tomoyo noted.
Rika glanced at her bespectacled friend. "How far?"
Naoko grinned. "Found out the hard way cum doesn't taste good, at all."
Chiharu looked at her strangely. "I'll admit it's not the best flavor in the world, but I wouldn't call it bad either."
Rika tilted her head in thought. "I suspect guys taste differently. I kind of like how my fiance tastes."
"HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!&q uot;
The girls all looked over and shook their heads as Sakura passed out from embarrassment.

------------------------
Saturday classes came to an end and the students began to pack there stuff to go home or go to their clubs.
"Any special plans?" Rika asked her friends.
"Watching movies with Shinji," Naoko replied.
"A nap," Chiharu yawned.
"Double date with Syaoran-kun, Tomoyo-chan, and Kurogane-san," Sakura added.
"Ah..." Rika frowned.
"I take it your boyfriend is busy tonight?" Tomoyo observed.
"Work," Rika replied simply.
"If you really don't want to go home, you can watch me beat up a bunch of boys," Meiling offered.
"You're not going on a date tonight?" Rika wondered.
"I've suddenly found myself without a boyfriend. I still don't know why he dumped me," Meiling groused.
Tomoyo frowned. "Did you two... get anywhere."
Meiling scowled. "I know what you're implying. And it is more likely because I wouldn't do anything with him, then someone getting upset at what little we have done. Kissing and copping a feel with clothes on was it." She then spun around and stomped off.
Syaoran shook his head. "She just won't see that it's a possibility."
Tomoyo bit her lip. "I think the issue is more that she's beginning to see that it is."
Sakura pouted. "No more talk about that. I want to get ready for tonight." She then followed Meiling with similar heavy footsteps.
"And she may not want to put a face to her problems... but I think she has," Tomoyo noted sadly.
------------------------
Rika let out a sigh as she arrived home, oddly wishing that these alternate school days on Saturday lasted the full day, then she wouldn't have to deal with her mother yet. She especially didn't like that her boyfriend was currently on a school trip with a certain amorous fourth grader. That girl had better not try to seduce her beloved fiance.
Rika shook her head free of such thoughts and called out, "I'm home."
"Is that you, Blossom?"
Rika blinked. "Daddy?" She rushed deeper into her home and found her father sitting at the dining table. She quickly gave him a hug. "You're home! I didn't know you were going to be here!"
Sasaki Jyou laughed at his daughter. "Once again a meeting I was supposed to be in got canceled mid-flight. I'll still have to fly back to Seattle tonight."
Rika hugged him tighter. "At least you're here today!"
Jyou nodded. "Some times my trips are far too brief."
"Just for a day is too brief," Rika agreed with a giggle.
"And how has my little Blossom been doing?" Jyou wondered.
Rika let go of her father and shifted. "Not really much to say..."
Jyou gazed deeply at her. "And when were you going to tell me you have a boyfriend?"
Rika's eyes widened. "How do you know about that?"
"Your mother was told you're seriously seeing someone, though I don't know who told her let alone who your boyfriend is," Jyou explained.
Rika pouted, suspecting a teacher overhearing the 'rumor' of her older boyfriend and warned her mother. "Well, yes... I am seeing someone."
"Why don't you tell me about him?" Jyou suggested strongly.
Rika kicked the floor nervously. "He's very nice and responsible. He's overly concerned that because he's a little older that people would think he's abusing me, and insists on waiting until we're married."
Jyou frowned not just at how she had phrased that but at his own memories of when he was dating the girl's mother. "Yet you're pushing him to go farther."
Rika flinched. "Ah... um..."
Jyou shook his head. "You're too much like your mother."
Rika scowled. "What do you mean by THAT?!"
Jyou smiled wryly. "When your mother was your age... She didn't want to wait to be an adult either."
Rika frowned deeply. She doubted her mother was an adult now.
Jyou shook his head, not wanting to further go on that line of discussion, afraid he would find out something he really didn't want to know and hoped his little girl wasn't lying about her boyfriend wanting to wait. "Have you been helping your mother?"
Rika looked away. "Why?"
"Much like you..." Jyou poked her nose. "...she doesn't admit when she needs help. Focusing more on what needs to be done and not necessarily seeing the best way to do it."
Rika could certainly admit her mother had that problem, but doubted she shared that issue.
"Oh, hush you," Sasaki Yuuka chastised. "I don't have such issues." She then turned toward her daughter. "And when were you going to tell me that you have a boyfriend old enough to have issues with your age?"
Rika bit her lip, not wanting to tell the truth, that her mother wouldn't have heard her even if she had mentioned it.
"Now, now, Dear. I remember you keeping such secrets from your parents at her age," Jyou reminded.
Yuuka let out a bitter laugh. "Not like my mother would've paid attention to me if I had told her."
Rika blinked. "You had trouble with Grandma?"
Jyou let out a deep laugh. "All mothers and daughters have trouble with each other, mostly because they're so much alike and refuse to admit it."
"We're nothing alike!" Rika and Yuuka chorused.
------------------------
Tomoyo checked her reflection in a window making sure her hair was still in place and that no wrinkles had appeared on her dress. Such primping was not unfamiliar to her. She always wanted to make herself look perfect for Sakura. That she would be meeting up with Kurogane as part of an official date wasn't actually a factor. Hearing light footsteps, she turned and smiled. "Hello, Sakura-chan."
The Kinomoto girl approached lightly with a frown and vacant eyes. For some reason she was still wearing her school uniform.
"Sakura-chan... is something wrong?" Tomoyo wondered.
"Sword release," the girl muttered and a long thin blade appeared in her hand.
Tomoyo let out a squeak of surprise, stumbling backwards to avoid being struck by her best friend's weapon. "Should've seen this one..." Another swing forced Tomoyo to duck. She lost her footing and fell to the sidewalk.
A sickly smile appeared on Sakura's face as she raised the sword high and swung down. A small explosion of concrete leapt into the sky, but the target of the attack was not there. Slowly the girl turned and scowled at the man dress in black holding Tomoyo protectively. She suddenly surged forward, her sword set to skewer them both.
Kurogane sidestepped the attack pulling the girl in his arms along. "Time to learn to dance."
"Now is hardly the time!" Tomoyo protested even as she was forced to follow his movements. Oddly their motions weren't so different from dancing, though she kept her feet on top of his shoes, not wanting to trip him.
"And dip," Kurogane warned, making the girl in his arms lean backwards.
Tomoyo saw the sword blade flash above her face and heard a grunt from her impromptu dance partner. Her panicked eyes saw a line of cuts traverse along his arms and chest.
"Guess she doesn't like me much," Kurogane muttered.
"You have an odd sense of humor," Tomoyo fretted. "The longer this goes the stronger sword becomes."
"What's going on here?!" a familiar voice cried out.
"Mind control!" Tomoyo called out in warning to Syaoran, grateful that he too was a little early to meet up for the double date and that Meiling was apparently walking with him en route to her martial arts practice.
Dressed in a white martial arts douji, Meiling jumped in front of Sakura. "How about fighting me?"
Sakura held up her hand. "Shadow release."
As the card began to manifest Meiling leapt at Sakura, pulling the girl into a grapple. "I'm your opponent now!"
Darkness surrounded the two girls, putting neither at any real disadvantage. Sakura could still see and Meiling was not about to let go of the girl, pressing hard on the wrist's pressure point to try to make the sword fall.
"Wood release," Sakura intoned and the nearby plants shot into the darkness reaching out to restrain the martial artist.
"I told you to fight me!" Meiling spat, managing to slam her opponent to the ground before the vines and branches pulled her away.
Sakura slowly got back to her feet, her head swaying back and forth. To those outside the shadow, the mass of darkness suddenly shot forward towards Kurogane and Tomoyo, but the attack failed to connect as Syaoran blocked it with his own magical sword.
"Kinomoto, your not the first to kiss Syaoran! Or seen him naked for that matter!" Meiling called out as if it was a challenge. "I can always make him my fiance again!"
"Wind release," Sakura's now shaking voice from within the shadow intoned and Syaoran was sent flying.
Tomoyo let out a breath as she stepped away from Kurogane. He reached for her as she jumped into the darkness. Then a sound of flesh smacking flesh echoed loudly. Suddenly the plants holding Meiling retreated and the shadow vanished to reveal Tomoyo crying and Sakura touching her red cheek tenderly.
"Thanks... I needed that," Sakura told her friend before her legs gave out and promptly sat down.
Syaoran pulled himself out of the bushes he landed in. "What happened?"
Kurogane folded his arms. "Kinomoto was on her way home when she was pulled into an alleyway. By the time I got there, there was no sign of her or the one who grabbed her. By the time I spotted her again, she was getting ready to attack Daidouji."
Sakura let out an annoyed sound. "Wish I could add more, but I can't."
"Are you all right?" Syaoran questioned.
"I'm fine." Sakura slowly got to her feet. "Tell me there's a way to protect myself against mind control."
Syaoran pouted. "There is, but you're not going to like it."
"If it means you controlling me, I'd prefer that to being made to attack my friends," Sakura retorted.
Syaoran shook his head. "It's not that. The problem is Yue has already been training you in it. While he was mostly working to deepen your connection to your cards he was also helping to fortify your mind through meditation. However, defending against mind control is not easy, and you've obviously made very little progress. The problem is you're too open. While that helps you manage all your cards, it leaves you vulnerable."
Sakura failing to think of something to say let out a frustrated whine.
"I'm sorry, Sakura-chan," Tomoyo apologized still a bit tearful.
"Don't be. I'm fine. Really," Sakura insisted.
"Why don't we meet back in an hour?" Kurogane suggested.
Sakura nodded but then gasped at the man's ruined and bloodstained shirt. "I hurt you?!"
"Just a scratch," Kurogane insisted.
"Yeah, yeah," Meiling muttered irritably. "Daidouji take care of your boyfriend. Syaoran take care of Kinomoto. I'm off to beat the shit out of some boys."
Sakura pouted at her tone. "Did I hurt you too?"
"No," Meiling barked. "You didn't."
Tomoyo pouted. "Can't we just cut the pretense and just say who Sakura's attacker is?"
"We don't know who it is," Meiling shot back.
"Yet while Sakura-chan has the most reason to dislike you, you remained unhurt today and have never truly been at risk during any other attack. And Sakura-chan's foe doesn't necessarily want her dead rather that she's unable to marry Li-kun as Ichimai's attack on her name, rather than her life, showed," Tomoyo rationalized.
"Tomoyo-chan please, that's enough," Sakura whined.
"We all know who he is," Tomoyo insisted. "It cannot Meiling's parents as they don't have enough magic, right? Li-kun's mother and sisters are all in support of you. The only one with the power to attack you and have reason to want to destroy you and yet would want to keep Meiling-chan unharmed is..."
"Don't say it because it's not him!" Meiling cried out. "My grandfather would never do such things!"
Tomoyo looked at her friend with sympathetic eyes. "And yet you still named him."
"I hate you!" Meiling spun around and ran away.
"I feel sorry for her first opponent," Syaoran mumbled.
"Let's just go. I'm not in the mood to go out anymore," Sakura suggested in a sad, tired voice.
"Mind if I stay with you?" Syaoran questioned.
Sakura responded by grabbing his hand tightly and not letting go.
Tomoyo offered a weak wave as the couple walked off.
"It had to be said," Kurogane told her.
Tomoyo nodded shallowly. "I don't know if I want to be right or wrong about this."
------------------------
If it wasn't for Naoko leaning against him and offering no protest regardless of where he put his hands, Shinji likely would've fallen asleep as the movie seriously failed at being a thriller, going more into the science of zombies than actually fighting them.
"Glad I didn't bother to see this at the theaters," Naoko muttered. "I see what is trying to be done with this scene, to give us a sense of dread that there's nothing that will stop the zombie apocalypse. They really could've used a moron to demand the simple explanation and skip over the whole 'we're all fucked' lecture."
Shinji couldn't help but let out a chuckle at her comment, considering where his fingers had been touching her since the whole lecture scene began, up her skirt and under her panties. "Speaking of 'fucked...'" He kissed her neck and went even farther with his fingers.
Naoko let out a squeak but did not saying anything against his actions. She let him pull her closer to explore her body easier. She wished the movie had been a lot more distracting. It wasn't that she didn't want her boyfriend touching her, rather she wanted to pace such things. She very much knew where he wanted this to go, but she didn't feel any need to rush.
With his free hand, Shinji unclasped the buttons on her shirt and shoved her bra aside to caress her breasts. He certainly enjoyed being able to touch a girl like this. Before Naoko he didn't think he'd ever go on a date let alone go past kissing. And each time they were together she let him get a little more bolder, to go even farther. He did not want what they were doing to come to an end. He had touched her like this before, but not for so long or as deeply.
Naoko squirmed as he continued to molest her. She couldn't even hear the movie over her own moans of pleasure. Despite all he was doing to her, she had yet to do anything for him. She did enjoy exploring sex with her boyfriend. She was curious what it would really feel like going all the way. While Chiharu certainly beat her for being the first, there was nothing she had done so far that Rika hadn't already done and even Sakura was almost as experienced. Only Meiling and Tomoyo were lagging behind her and it seemed only a matter of time before that would change as well as it was more choice than lack of opportunity.
"Naoko... I..." Shinji breathed into her ear.
Reluctantly Naoko pulled away from him, not wanting to end the pleasure yet she craved to feel even more. She turned and gazed at him tenderly and with some hesitation reached out with her hand. "Let's use my bed."
Shinji nodded with a large grin, hoping she would no longer tease him with promises of more next time. He took her hand and let her guide him to her room. He watched her as she shifted uneasily, but then she let her clothes fall to ground. For the first time she was completely naked before him. He quickly ripped his own clothes off and tackled her to the bed.
"Shinji," Naoko squeaked.
"Naoko," he replied in a deep voice of want and desire. "Don't ask me to stop."
"I... won't." Naoko then bit her lip as he shifted on top of her. The final line was crossed and her virginity came to a sudden end.
------------------------
"Do I have some sort of boy repellant on me?" Meiling groused with a huff as she flopped onto the couch.
Syaoran gazed at her from the kitchen area of their apartment. "Think I would've noticed if you did. Why?"
"Boyfriend hunting crashed and burned. And not because of lack of choices either. I let them know I was available, they practically ran away from me," Meiling spat out bitterly.
"You do know what it would mean if you did," Syaoran pointed out.
"Don't you dare get started on that again!" Meiling hissed.
"I don't want to believe it either," Syaoran told her. "The problem is that all the evidence we have points to him. We all hope we're wrong, that there's another answer."
"There has to be," Meiling insisted. "All the things that have been done to Kinomoto. The attempts on her life, the stupid ghost being a slut in her body, nearly killing Yanagizawa... There's no way Grandpa could've done any of that. How could someone who taught me so much, loves me so dearly, loves our entire clan do any of that! It's not him!"
Syaoran sighed. "It would be because of his love. Sakura has taken away your happiness. And it can be viewed she has insulted the Li family. She took the Clow Cards and made them her own. By birthright they should belong to someone in our family, not married back into it."
"Maybe so, but it's too extreme. He'd have to be a psychopath to not just target Kinomoto but anyone near her," Meiling returned. She got off the couch and stormed her way into her room, slamming the door behind her.
Syaoran slowly shook his head. Meiling was going to be a headache to deal with for a while. He hoped the girl would not go to extremes to prove her grandfather's innocence. She might not like the answer she would get.
Sakura poked her head out of Syaoran's bedroom door. "Is it safe?" she whispered.
"You don't have to hide," Syaoran replied in a low tone.
Sakura sheepishly tucked her blouse back under her skirt. "Don't want to make her any more upset."
"Only way for not to be upset now would be if we found proof of her grandfather's innocence," Syaoran retorted. "At this point, I doubt we'll find that."
Sakura pouted. "I don't exactly want to believe it either. He was so nice the few times we met." She gave her boyfriend a quick kiss. "See you at school tomorrow."
"See you," Syaoran replied and watched as she dashed out of the apartment. He then gazed at the meal he was making. He hoped Meiling was hungry, considering he had made enough for three people.
------------------------
Once again the weekend was over and school was back in session. It seemingly took forever but lunch eventually arrived. With nice weather, they took to eating outside under a tree. The group was not complete as Meiling went off on her own.
"You seem to be in a good mood," Tomoyo noted.
Rika shrugged. "Father paid a surprise visit during the weekend. I actually would've missed seeing him if I had gone out on a date or hung out with all of you. Apparently the 'rumor' of my older boyfriend spread enough that my parents know about it. While father asked about him, he didn't say I had to stop seeing him or anything like that."
"But he didn't give approval for it either, did he?" Tomoyo guessed.
Rika nodded. "He would have to meet my beloved first, and I don't think... well, any one of us is ready for that."
"It's a bomb that's going to explode sometime," Chiharu commented before changing topics. "So how did the double date go?" Chiharu wondered.
"It didn't," Syaoran replied. "There was an attack."
Naoko looked up from her lunch. "What was it this time?"
"I was possessed and made to attack Tomoyo-chan," Sakura answered with regret.
"Is that possible?" Naoko wondered. "Shouldn't you be too strong to let that happen?"
Syaoran shook his head. "What makes her so good with the cards is her openness, and that leaves her vulnerable to this sort of attack."
"So what happened after the attack?" Rika wondered.
"I went home and watched movies with Syaoran-kun," Sakura replied.
"I had to drag Kurogane to the doctor's to stitch his wounds. They weren't deep, but the cuts were long," Tomoyo added.
Naoko, Chiharu and Rika blinked as one. "You hurt him?!"
Sakura looked away. "While I was possessed. I'm still sorry about it."
"It didn't hurt. Daidouji over reacted. There's nothing for to you to be sorry about," Kurogane's gruff voice intoned above them.
Naoko, Chiharu and Rika looked up but could only see leaves and branches.
"He's good," Syaoran commented, trying to figure out how the man could be so close without him knowing it. He couldn't find him until Tomoyo and Sakura pointed toward a neighboring tree and not the one directly above them.
Rika tilted her head in thought. "Did you hurt Meiling-chan? Is that why she's avoiding you?"
Tomoyo shook her head. "The one to hurt her was me..." She let out a pained sigh. "I got her to name the primary suspect."
"And it's someone she cares about, isn't it?" Naoko guessed. "Someone who wants her married to Li-kun."
Tomoyo merely nodded.
"I really hope we're wrong and he's just being framed," Sakura muttered weakly.
Syaoran folded his arms. "Don't think she'd appreciate that thought either. That he's weak enough to be captured or worse."
Yamazaki leaned in. "If the enemy is really someone like that, did you two do stuff to upset him more?"
"Huh?" Sakura blinked cluelessly.
"Not really," Syaoran replied. "Movie was so boring we fell asleep watching." He didn't feel the need to tell them anything about what they did on Sunday, especially as it was nothing they hadn't already done before.
Naoko let out a giggle. "The opposite of what happened with me. The movie I watched with Shinji was so boring we forgot about watching and had sex instead."
"YOU HAD SEX WITH ASABA?!" Sakura screeched out in surprise.
Syaoran wished he was faster with his had to cover his girlfriend's mouth.
"No need to let the whole school know," Naoko chastised with little heat while blushing deeply due to the large number of eyes that were now on her. That a girl like her was known to be experienced wasn't entirely a bad thing, even if a teacher was obviously among the ones who overheard Sakura's outburst. That even a nerdy and relatively unattractive girl could have a relationship deep enough with a guy to make love was actually a mark of pride for her.
Chiharu smirked. "Now for a little revenge. What was it like?"
Takashi looked at his wife. "You've told them about us?"
"Girl's talk," Chiharu answered simply.
Naoko shifted uneasily as her friends weren't the only ones who might hear her reply. "Well, it was, um... more than expected I guess. From what you had told me, I didn't have high expectations. Though he was playing with me a bit before we actually decided to just go for it. I honestly don't remember thinking much of anything after we moved to my bed."
Chiharu smirked. "So he actually knows about foreplay and got you heated up first."
Naoko shrugged sheepishly. "Pretty much."
"So, now that's two of us who have gone all the way." Rika pouted. "At this rate I'll be the last."
"Meiling-chan doesn't even have a boyfriend and I still haven't done anything with Kurogane or anyone else," Tomoyo retorted.
"Yes, but neither of you have to wait until you're sixteen," Rika returned.
Tomoyo smirked. "If mother has her way, Kurogane will have to wait until I'm twenty. Considering our ages, even if I do develop feelings for him, I'd also have to be sixteen."
------------------------
Naoko sighed as yet another school day came to an end and Shinji's gaming group set up for another round of mystery solving dungeon crawling. Actually it was more on the dungeon hack and slash less on the problem solving. She had tried to pay attention to the game, even considered making a character, but they fell short of expectations. The mysteries used were too easy for her to solve. And had she taken over running the game, at best they would fail to figure out her plot, at worst she'd out herself as the real author of Bloody Sword Detective. As there was nothing going on for her, she packed up and bid her boyfriend a farewell.
"Can't believe you had sex with her," Tsuda groused.
Shinji grinned at his friend. "Believe it. Can't wait for the weekend."
"Better have protection," Tsuda warned.
"Why? She can always get an abortion," Shinji retorted. "No way either of us had sex with anyone else."
"Look at her friends. If Yamazaki, Kinomoto, possibly even Sasaki and Daidouji got pregnant, they're likely to keep their babies. Yanagizawa might as well," Tsuda pointed out.
Shinji paled. "You have a point..."
The other gamers snickered, yet both wished to be in his shoes dating a girl.
Eventually they did get around to playing the game, managing to advance a mere three rooms as they ultimately distracted themselves talking about video games and movies as much as they talked about the game they were playing.
The dinner hour came before they were ready, but each had to go home least a teacher came through and made them leave.
Shinji thought about how well life was going for him. Good friends, fun games and a lover were more than he could ever ask for.
"Asaba-kun?"
Shinji stopped and looked questioningly at a rather attractive girl from a different class. "Ah, yes?"
The girl smiled sweetly. "Are you needed somewhere?"
Shinji shook his head. "Nope. Dinner is whatever I toss in the microwave. Why?"
"Actually, I'm a bit hungry myself, and I don't exactly want to go home with no one there. Mind if I join you?" the girl asked with seeming innocence. "You can call me Megumi."
Shinji nodded slowly. Coming home to a empty house was something he was far too familiar with and knew how lonely it could be. "Sure, um, Megumi-san."
Megumi latched onto his arm. "Lead the way."
------------------------
A lone figure brooded as he gazed over a collection of magical materials and books. A method of using them to get at Kinomoto eluded him. His thoughts strayed as he looked upon two items of science in the room, a VCR and television. It would appear the police were more incompetent than he had expected. That could be quickened.
Leaving the room he made his way to a phone, casting a spell upon it first to change his voice. He dialed a number and was quickly answered with, "Tokyo Metropolitan Police, how may I direct your call?"
"Ah, yes... I'd like to report child sexual abuse," he intoned.
"Please hold on, Ma'am. I will forward you to the appropriate task force," the police operator replied.
He grinned, the spell to mask his voice obviously working well if he sounded like a woman and this plan of attack would finally gain some momentum. "Thank you."
------------------------
Naoko typed away at her computer. Her report would soon be complete. Then she could relax for a bit, maybe work a little more on her novella or just read something. She jumped when her phone rang. She wondered if her parents had some special request for her. She picked up the phone, "Hello. Yanagizawa residence."
"Hello, Yanagizawa-chan... This is Shinji's mother," a woman's voice replied.
Naoko blinked, wondering about the odd tone she heard. "Oh, hi. Asaba-san, is something wrong?"
"I'm afraid there is, for you," Asaba let out a sigh.
Naoko could hear her boyfriend pleading in the background to not tell her something.
Shinji's mother continued, "I came home for work and found him having sex with a girl."
The girl stared dumbly, her face losing all color. "Shinji was doing what?"
"He was having sex with some girl. Only name I got for her is 'Megumi,'" Asaba told her seriously.
Naoko could hear Shinji go from asking why his mother would rat on him to crying out to apologize to her, yet she couldn't think. She couldn't even put a face to this 'Megumi' girl though it sounded familiar to her for some reason. Her hand began to clench tightly around the phone handle. "I... see... Tell Asaba he can forget about me and to remember what happened the morning before I first agreed to date him. He's going to be feeling a LOT worse than THAT!"
The girl smirked evilly when she heard her now ex-boyfriend's mother relay the message. "Thank you for letting me know." Her frustration got the better of her as she slammed the phone back on to the receiver. Tears well up into her eyes. Part of her wanted to flop onto her bed and cry herself to sleep but that was where she had lost her virginity. She wanted to see her friends, but none of them had been betrayed nearly this badly. Well, Sakura had sort of been betrayed by Yukito, but this was not something she wanted to burden Kinomoto with, the girl already had enough problems.
Naoko then looked at her computer. She quickly saved and closed her homework assignment and then called up her novella work. Her fingers became a blur as a new case file was going to strike close to home for The Bloody Sword Detective.

Chiharu did not like how nauseous she was feeling, nor how tired she had been feeling lately. She frowned as her young husband returned from the store.
"I hope you're reading too much into this," Takashi complained.
Chiharu took his purchase from him. "That's why I want to test this. I'd rather it just be the flu or something."
Despite the girl went straight into the bathroom, Takashi still followed her. He watched as she read over the instructions and didn't look away as she took the test. Any other boy his age would be excited to see a girl pants down taking a piss, but he was certainly not enjoying this. He was more nervous, perhaps even a little afraid, of want the test might say.
"Now we have to wait five minutes," Chiharu fretted.
For the young couple it felt more like five hours. As the five minutes finally passed, they looked upon the test strip. Chiharu immediately turned around and hugged Takashi as tears began to pour out of her eyes.
Takashi held her tight, not really sure what he was feeling, his gaze still set upon the positive pregnancy test.

Coming next:
Chapter 26 – Sakura and the Price of Betrayal
Asaba awaits Naoko's revenge. Chiharu has to figure out what to do now that she's pregnant. Why is the police task force against sexual crimes at Tomoeda Elementary school?
I've finally named the main suspect, Meiling's grandfather, who I first gave him an appearance in Sakura's Christmas Surprise as well as an omake in this series. Sakura has met him at least twice, first being the Christmas story and then at the wedding of one of Syaoran's sisters. Even if I had never had a scene with him, only someone directly related to Meiling would make any sense and not be an ass pull announcing someone the reader couldn't possibly know. Well, besides the two references to Yugioh and the even more obscured reference to Oh! My Goddess, but if either of those were to be the case I'd have to put in more evidence to support them.
Shinji's side of the story will get told and may get his chance at redemption, but Naoko will certainly never date him again.

Ichigo's eye twitched. As if punching a giant bird's head to knock it unconscious hadn't been strange enough, in the following weeks he had to play a bad game of dodge ball with shadows that were using desks for the balls, got bounced around by his youngest sister's stuffed toy, got into a pissing contest with water, took an unwanted trip down memory lane with illusions and now he was up against a painting that hated noises. He didn't think it could get worse, until it did.
Orohime giggle at the kid loaded down with painting supplies. "So, you're here to fix your father's painting."
Yuki nodded. "Yes. I can't let my father's work be ruined!"
Ichigo scowled. "And you think you can fix this?"
"Of course I can!" Yuki answered firmly. "Just every time I tried I somehow found myself outside the museum."
"I know that feeling," Ichigo grumbled.
"Did it happen after you made a noise?" Orohime asked.
"I don't know. Maybe," Yuki replied uncertainly.
"Then maybe that's what we'll need to do. Fix the painting without making a noise," Orohime suggested.
"Guess I could at least try," Yuki replied.
"Doubt it's going to work," Ichigo grumbled.
"Yuki may be just what we need," Orohime pointed out.
The trio advanced into deeper into the museum plus Kon, who was busy pretending to be Orohime's stuffed toy. When they made it to the painting in question they all let out a cry of shock, with Yuki being easily the loudest.
"What kind of sick joke is THIS?!" Yuki demanded.
"A very bad one," Ichigo groused. "Did a two-year-old draw that?"
"I think the bunny is cute," Orohime commented, trying to find something nice to say of the situation.

Rukia was thankful her new home was near the museum. She hoped they would appreciate her masterpiece, even if it was to replace the work of someone who was slightly better at drawing than she was.
It was easy to get The Silence to leave with her. You just had to know how to deal with her. Sure the card was still in the painting even after asking it to come with her by writing out her request rather than speak it.
Rukia carefully set down the painting. One card down and she had only been here two days. Suddenly the black haired girl sneezed as if someone was saying bad things about her and she found herself outside of her apartment. She grumbled under her breath and went to open the door only to find out the automatic lock on the door worked rather well.

"HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!&q uot;
The girls all looked over and shook their heads as Sakura passed out from embarrassment.

------
Rukia was thankful her new home was near the museum.
