Another chapter

Note: I don't remember much about CCS movie 1. I've only seen it twice, and that was years ago, so this will probably go my way.

Chapter 16

 

Arrow darted after the two as Sakura jumped around, evading the arrows. Syaoran was using Loop to keep the card restrained for now, but it didn't seem to be lasting very long… with a charge, Arrow broke Loop.

“Sleep!” Blue powder drifted over the Arrow card, putting it to sleep. Syaoran nodded as Arrow resumed card form and flew back to him.

Kero-chan watched. Apparently he didn't need a sealing wand. So that was how Syaoran captured his cards.

 

The next day, Syaoran got a phone call from Hong Kong.

“Syaoran, we need you to come home for a week.”

“Problems on the Clow Card front?”

“Something of that sort.”

“I'm coming!” But it might involve Sakura too, so… Syaoran invited Yukito and Sakura's family to visit his home.

 

Li Yelan met them at the airport. “Syaoran.”

“Mother.” He inclined his head politely.

Yelan's eyes rested on Yukito briefly. This one had magic too, but it was very subtle, almost too subtle to be detected. Sakura and Touya sparkled with their own magic. Sakura had… star-type? Rare, but interesting... Touya had earth-type. Her four daughters had magic that specialized in divination, while Syaoran had moon-type.

She politely invited them to the house.

 

After a delicious lunch, they went out shopping together. Two birds watched, white birds… little white birds with blue plumes.

A pair of angry eyes watched… the birds…

 

They were being watched.

Syaoran looked around. It was something… he couldn't tell what it was though… well, it was pretty obvious when they were at the park and the water in the fountain sucked them all inside…

Touya and Yukito had blacked out instantly.

A woman with long hair in a fortune-teller's dress stood there, commanding whirlpools of water to suck them in.

“Fly!” Sakura cried, as the wings sprouted out of her wand and she hopped on, out of the way.

“A Clow card!” The woman gasped.

 

“Syaoran!'

Sakura turned to look at him? Or was it her? Syaoran smiled, before pulling out a Clow card of his own.

“Freeze!”

 

The waterspout in front of him turned into a block of ice.

“You have Clow Cards too!”

“What's with this woman?” Syaoran asked under his breath.

Kero-chan stuck his head out of Sakura's hood. “That's!”

“Do you recognize her, Kero-chan?”

Kero-chan nodded. “She had a crush on Clow back in the day! She predicted his death! Her name's Madoushi!'

“You!” The woman growled.

Kero-chan glared back.

“Hah, what's the matter? You can't take on your true form yet? Pathetic! Then I'll crush you easily! How dare you wield Clow cards!”

More bubbles of water went flying at them.

 

“Shield!” Sakura called, the bubbles bouncing off. “Li-kun!”

Syaoran smiled. “Bubbles!” The bubbles card absorbed all the bubbles coming at him. Cerberus silently whistled in appreciation.

Maybe the brat had some skill in this area…

 

“Mist!” Syaoran called next. “Hide us from her sight!” Instantly, a green mist covered them. Madoushi began to laugh.

`I'm a water fortune teller, do you think this will work?” Both cried out in surprise as the Mist vanished.

“Water? Then… Wood card! Bind her!”

Syaoran watched as wood tied Madoushi up. Sakura breathed a sigh of relief… only to gasp as Madoushi suddenly vanished!

 

They reappeared in the park, but Yukito and Touya were gone!

“Kero-chan!”

“I don't know either.” The guardian confessed.

“We have to find them.” Syaoran said.

“Yes! Where could they be?”

Kero-chan was silent…

 

Back in her lair, Madoushi laughed. “So, little card captors, you dare challenge me with the cards of Clow? I will defeat you and take them for myself!”

Laughter rang through the dark.

 

Syaoran and Sakura split up to look… just what Madoushi had expected. A small white bird appeared over each of them, and they cried out as they disappeared again.

 

“Yukito!”

Yukito was frozen in a bubble. His sword didn't even nick it! Syaoran shivered. He was standing in water that came up to his waist, freezing water… wait…

“Freeze!”

Instantly the liquid beneath his feet became solid. Standing on the ice now, Syaoran continued hacking at the bubble to no avail. Madoushi was nowhere to be seen, and he didn't know when she would come back…

 

“Oniichan!” Sakura pounded with her fists on the bubble where Touya was trapped. Harsh, grating chuckles came from behind her.

“You let your guard down little girl…”

Sakura screamed as she was trapped in another bubble. Kero-chan fled. He had to find Syaoran!

Madoushi paid no attention to him as she sat down and waited.

“Clow… do not worry, my love. These two will be enough sacrifice to bring you back to me…” Madoushi's laughter rang and rang again…

 

Syaoran desperately wished he had the Sword card while he continued to experiment with the bubble. Arrow had failed miserably…

Time and Return probably wouldn't help… neither would Song and Voice… wait… maybe this would work.

“Voice! Go and steal that woman's voice away!”

Voice darted off on its errand while Syaoran continued to try and chip away at the bubble with his sword. It was his best bet right now…

Hmm…

“Power! Focus all your power into my sword!” Syaoran's sword glowed pinkly as he slammed it into the bubble. However, aside from a thin crack, there was no change. Syaoran swung the sword again…

And again…

He had managed to get the bubble somewhat broken when a frantic Kero-chan flew in. “Hey brat! I need your help!”

Syaoran paused. “What is it?”

“Sakura's in danger!”
