The Cardcaptors of rock

Chapter 1-How do I make money?

It starts out with the back of a guy's jacket having the studio name (Paramount Picture). The guy is walking until he opens a door which reveals the movie title as a red neon sign.

Then you hear some hardcore rock music and singing in the back round. Then you see a stage with a band playing (YYG: I don't know the song lyrics to Dewey's band, all I remember is that the band name is "No Vacancy"). Yue, one of the members turned up the stereo behind him and took off his guitar and jumped off the stage to try and do a crowd dive (that's what I call it). Unfortunately it wasn't successful because:

#1: It was a very small crowd

#2: He crashed into a guy who wasn't paying any attention

and…

#3: when he crashed we heard glass breaking assuming it belonged to a broken shot glass and he was lying facedown.

The scene slowly changes with Yue still lying facedown except he's lying in bed at his apartment.

In the back round we hear his roommate Tori arguing with his girlfriend Layla over Yue.

Layla: He's a lazy freeloader and it's time to do something about it.

Tori: Can't we do this later you know how he is in the morning.

Layla: Tori aren't you tired of letting people push you around.

Tori: Yeah.

Layla: Then get in there and do it.

Layla pulls apart the curtain that separates Yue's room from the rest of the apartment.

Yue: (groggily) what?

Tori: Yue it's the first of the month, I need your share of the rent now.

Yue: aw man you know I don't have it; you wake me up for that.

Tori turns to leave but Layla pushes him back.

Tori: Yue you owe us enough money as it is.

Layla: yeah try 2200$.

Yue: you guys the band is about to hit it big time and (points to Tori) once I start rolling in the Benjamin's, I will throw you and (points to Layla) your dog a bone, good night.

Layla: (angrily) oh give it up your bands never made two cents.

Tori: Layla come on I'm on this.

Layla: oh you're on this.

Layla points to Yue.

Layla: (to Tori) you tell him that if he doesn't come up with the rent by the end of the week, he's out of here.

She stomps of.

Yue turns to Tori.

Yue: dude I've been mooching off you for years and it's never been a problem until she showed up, just dump her man.

Tori: yeah well if you don't come up with the money she's going to dump me she's fed up.

Yue: (in mock surprise) really cause that would be a good thing, she's a nightmare.

Tori: Yue c'mon I may never have another girlfriend just come up with some money please.

Yue sighs.

Yue: (points to Tori) fine but I'm doing this for you not for her, but for you.

Tori: thanks.

Later…

Yue's on the phone.

Yue: for your information Hendricks played this guitar…it should be worth more that…hello? darn.

Phone rings.

Yue: hello?

A woman's voice answers.

Woman: is Tori Avalon there?

Yue: no he's not.

Woman: can you take a message?

Yue: sure.

Woman: my names Ruby Moon, I'm the principal of Horace Green Prep and we're having a bit of a problem, one of our teachers broke her leg on her way to work and I asked some other schools for a recommendation and I got Tori Avalon, do you know when he'll be back?

Yue: how longs the gig?

Ruby: excuse me?

Yue how longs the job?

Ruby: my guess is as much as a few weeks.

Yue: hmm hmm so how much are we talking here?

Ruby: (annoyed) we pay our substitutes as much as 650$ a week, now do you know when Mr. Avalon will be back?

Yue: well I'm not sure, oh you know what I think he just walked, Tori phone!

Fiddles with the phone to make it sound like it's being handed to someone.

Yue: (in a deeper voice) ah hello this is mr. Avalon.

To be continued…

That's it remember R&R.
