Card Captor Sakura Fan Fiction ❯ The Rejected Book ❯ The Beginning ( Chapter 1 )
Authors notes: Please don't kill me!! It's a bit slow, but I'm pouring every bit of talent (which isn't a lot mind you) into this story. R&R but no flames!! This is my first time in writing a card captor fanfic. Enjoy!!
Disclaimer: I don't own Harry Potter (obviously) or Card captors. They are both owned by their respected owners!
Chapter 1: The beginning
Sakura lay in bed looking at her star cards fondly, her bedside lamp turned on when a large shape had landed on her bed with a thunk. A small excited gasp escaped her lips as the shape opened its eyes and stared at her annoyingly with orbs of amber. Sakura grinned foolishly and started to giggle silently to herself. A small scream found its way past the thrill of a bird on her bed as Sakura rolled off the bed and landed on the floor still laughing though this time out loud. The door opened suddenly and in stepped Touya looking sleepy with large rings around his eyes making him look like a mutant panda. He was wearing dark blue pyjamas with a black jacket hurriedly placed on the top.
"W…wha…t's happening?" Touya enquired, failing to stifle a massive yawn.
Touya's bleary eyes slowly adjusted to the brightness taking in every detail.
"What's that owl doing on your bed?"
Sakura turned to face the handsome tan owl with stunning amber eyes that currently had agitation dancing in between pride in having delivered the letter.
"That better not be that gaki talking to you again."
Sakura slowly shook her head and untied a small piece of parchment from the owl's leg.
Sakura Avalon
That's all it said on the envelope. Sakura frowned and turned it over, hoping to find the address of the sender, but it was anonymous, leaving Sakura in a state of real annoyance. All that was there was a purple wax seal bearing a coat of arms; a lion, an eagle, a badger and a snake surrounding a large letter H. Touya looked down at the seal and bit his lip painfully. Sakura's shaking hands lifted the flap and unfolded a yellowing piece of paper.

Sakura raised an eyebrow in surprise, as though she thought it was a joke. She tipped the envelope upside down looking for the so-called list of equipment and books. A creased, white parchment fell out and on it said:

Sakura frown deepened at the last message then mentally shrugged thinking of fly and her own staff together. It was sort of a broomstick she thought slowly. The owl silently huffed and flew out the open window, towards the distance Hogwarts. Sakura smiled thinking of Syaoran and Eriol. If it was a school for magic, those two had to be able to come. Leisurely, Sakura looked at her alarm clock and jumped when she saw that it was 3:00 am. Groaning, she placed her head onto the pillow and waited for sleep to come.
Sakura woke at 7:00 in the morning to smells of pancakes cooking and Kero bashing to be let out of the door. She ran and picked him up by the little fairy wings that sprouted from his back and dropped him in his bedroom.
"I'll bring you something to eat later Kero."
Sakura walked down the stairs, the smell of breakfast getting stronger. Suddenly, the phone started ringing, Touya answered. Sakura was close enough to hear one side of the conversation.
"Hello…Yes…No, sorry gaki, Sakura is asleep…Are you calling me a liar!!…Yes, I'll try, but don't be to sure."
"Touya!! Hello…Hi Li…Yes, I was up…what…yes…I'll meet you and Eriol at the park…Okay…8 sounds great…bye!"
Sakura skipped into the kitchen to face a glowering Touya flipping pancakes. Sakura gave him a quick smile and sat down, ready to attack the food. Her heart was lightened greatly by the fact of meeting her two magical friends so soon. She quickly swallowed her food and took two large pancakes and a small bowl of syrup to the tiny teddy bear upstairs.
Li and Eriol waited patiently for Sakura to arrive, Li rocking back and forwards on his feet. They both knew why Sakura was probably late. Almost certainly was she feeding her sun guardian whatever they had for breakfast. Eriol gave a small efficient smile towards his little descendant who he knew loved a certain female. A few minutes after 8, Sakura came running towards them, a small white wing poking out of her pocket.
"Sorry I'm late. Kero," she threw a nasty glance towards her pocket, "took far longer eating then I thought."
Kero poked his head out, golden syrup smeared over his face. Li suppressed a small smirk at this, forcing Kero to growl towards him. Eriol reached into his pocket and withdrew a parchment envelope almost identical to the one Sakura had received much earlier that morning.
"Did you get one of these Sakura?" Eriol asked.
"Yes." Sakura answered hurriedly throwing a small fleeting look at Li.
"Well, me and my cute little descendant," Li shot a furious look at him, "Got one too."
"Do you know where to get all this stuff Eriol?"
"I'd be pretty pathetic if I didn't. Come on Sakura and my cute little descendant, let's go to Diagon Alley!"
In a flash of blinding light, they left the park.
