Anime_angel123: *Singing* hora catch you, catch me matte, kotchi wo muite suki da to itte!
Murasaki: Stop singing that song!!
Anime_angel123: But that song gives me inspiration!
Murasaki: -_- And it gives ME a headache!
Anime_angel123: Well, deal with it! Since in the first couple of chapters I forgot to put warnings, I'll put them in this one.
WARNINGS: Even though it has been mild in the first few chapters, I am posting a warning consisting cussing/profanity, (maybe some) sexual themes, future lemons, and other crap to come…
Anime_angel123: Oh! And before I forget. From now on I'm going to leave review responses. Who knows, maybe I'll get more to answer! ^_^
Mistriss: Interesting, eh? Thanks!
Medatsu: ^_^ Heheh. Are my ideas that good? Lol
Star Katt: Pyro and Centra are the same age as Kaguya and Shihiro. ^_^
The Shadow Cards
Chapter 4:
Kero-chan and Souppy-chan
Everyone spun around to the door and saw Yaki and Suki standing there. Yaki with a look of awe on her face and Suki's with a look of surprise on her face.
Yue raised an eyebrow and studied the two girls for the first time. His gaze stopped on the one with a look of awe on her face as she neared him.
Yaki couldn't believe her eyes. She took a few steps toward the angel-like person and reached a hand out to touch the feathers of his wings. She then backed away and looked the angel in the eye.
Yue began to feel uncomfortable with the girl's gaze and shifted his weight from one foot to another.
Yaki opened her mouth and said the first thing that came to her mind. "Are you real?" She asked.
Sakura was in a state of panic. How was she going to explain this to the new girls? Sakura got off the couch and stood next to Syaoran, casting him a pleading look.
Syaoran, seeing the look the cherry blossom gave him, he stepped forward. "That's a costume. We were working on it for a party."
Yaki nodded, but stopped as she saw something tattooed on the creature's wrist. Yaki turned her attention toward it and tilted her head in curiosity. "Yue. Moon guardian of the Star Cards and…the…Shadow Cards?"
Yaki, with her knowledge of both Japanese and Chinese history, got back on her feet and taking a good look at the angel called Yue. She had to force her gaze from his beautiful silver eyes as she heard a phone ring.
Suki snapped out of her gaze as she heard her cell phone ring. Her eyes went wide as she remembered she and Yaki had to be at the "studio" at her house right after school. Suki fished the phone out of her pocket.
"Hello?" Suki spoke into the phone and a second later, held it a foot from her ear.
"YOU AND AYAKA WERE SUPOSSESED TO BE HERE TWO HOURS AGO!" Suki cringed at her mother's voice. "Sorry, mom. We were just shown around Tomeda and we met-"
"I don't care who you met. Get your ass' over here!" Suki sighed as the phone went dead.
Yaki felt completely embarrassed with her practical aunt's outburst over the cell phone. "Sorry about that." Yaki sputtered as she picked up her forgotten book bag.
Sakura stood in her spot, frozen with shock. She still couldn't believe that she heard Suki's mom over the cell phone crystal clear! "I-it's okay." Sakura grinned. Then an idea sparked in her head. Her father was more than likely in the library looking over his books since he didn't have to work today.
"Hey, I can see if my dad's here and maybe we could give you a ride." Sakura suggested.
Yaki nodded happily. "And if you wanted too, you can stay and watch tech practice!" Suki nodded and Sakura disappeared. While Sakura was gone, Yaki looked back at Yue and sweat dropped. "But you have to change back to Yukito, I don't think you want to attract attention.
Yue nodded and closed his eyes, his majestic wings wrapping around himself and turned back into Yukito.
Yukito blinked as he saw Yaki standing fight in front of him. "How did you get here?" He asked.
Yaki almost face-faulted. "Kinomoto-san needs to explain the whole Yue-sama thing when Suki-chan and I are done with studio practice. " she exclaimed as she adjusted her glasses Sakura reappeared in the room with her father right behind him. As Yaki saw Sakura's father, her breath stopped and she felt as if she'd met Sakura's father before but couldn't place where.
Aiden smiled as he saw the two unfamiliar girls. (anime_angel123: Give me a break, I forgot his name too so again I'm using the English name.) "Konnichwa. I'm Sakura's father, Aiden Kinomoto."
Yaki smiled and slightly bowed. "Konnichiwa, Kinomoto-san. I'm Ayaka Yamamoto."
Suki stepped forward. "And I'm Suzuki Murakami."
Aiden smiled at the girls. "It's nice to meet you. Sakura tells me you need a ride home?"
Yaki shrugged. "Well, we could walk…"
Aiden cut her off. "No. It's all right. I'll drive you girls." Aiden headed towards the stairs, certain that with his acute hearing, Touya had heard the whole conversation. "Touya! Do you want to come?" In no time whatsoever, Touya came running down the stairs.
"Yeah! I'm coming! Are you, Yukito?" Touya asked as he stuffed on a pair of shoes.
Yukito nodded. "Yep."
Yaki nodded and followed Aiden, Touya and Yukito to the large van, followed by Sakura, Syaoran and Eriol.
Suki sweat dropped. "Are we going to have enough room in the car?" She asked.
Aiden nodded as he opened the passenger door. "Don't worry. This van is bigger than you think."
Yaki nodded and climbed into the van.
Aiden turned in his seat to peer at Ayaka. "Yamamoto-san, where are we going to drop you off at?"
Just ask Yaki opened her mouth to reply, Sakura cut her off. "Can Syaoran-kun, Eriol-kun, Touya-kun, Tomoyo-chan and Yukito-kun come?" Sakura asked, her eyes full of pleading.
Suki glanced at Yaki and nodded and smiled at Sakura's question. "Of coarse you can. It might be boring watching though." Sakura nodded excitedly as the car turned on.
~@~@~@~@~@~@~@~@~@~@~
The van came to a stop and Aiden opened the van doors so the kids could pop out. Aiden paused as his work cell phone rang. "Hello, Kinomoto Aiden here. Yes. Uh-huh. No I don't. Now? Alright. Be there in a few minutes." Aiden turned back to the teenagers and shrugged apologetically.
"I have to go teach one of my colleagues how to use the new computer system." Aiden turned and climbed back into the car. "Touya, call me on my cell when you need to be picked up."
"Okay, `tousan." Touya yelled as the van disappeared. He then turned back around and sweat dropped at the sight of Sakura. She was latched onto Yaki's left arm.
Touya looked up at what Sakura was staring at and felt like gaping himself. His eyes met a large mansion, probably the size of Tomoyo's-maybe even a little bigger!
"Wow, you have quite a big house." Yukito commented as he turned to Yaki who had a slight blush on her face.
"Thanks. It's a little too big in my opinion, but my mother thinks otherwise." Yaki responded as she blushed at Yukito's smile.
This made Touya stop to think. "Suki-chan, where is your house?" He turned to Suki who pointed next door.
"I live there." Suki said as she began to follow Yaki into her house. "You guys might want to watch out for our mothers. They may seem nice, but if Yaki-chan and I are even a minute late for practice, we get yelled at and punished. It's a war zone when her and my mom are yelling together."
Touya sweat dropped as he followed the gang into Yaki's house.
Yaki opened the door and braced herself for the yelling. Sure enough, five seconds later, it came.
"AYAKA YAMAMOTO! WHAT HAS POSSESSED YOU TO COME HOME FOR PRACTICE SO LATE?!?!" Yukito stood wide-eyed as a woman not older than 26 came stomping into that front room. She had long, black hair, which she wore braided and glasses had to run in Yaki's family.
Yaki almost rolled her eyes, but didn't out of the knowledge that her mother would probably ground her from going anywhere but school for a month. "I was being shown around town." Yaki motioned to the gang and her mother immediately put on a smiling mask.
The way this woman reacted to things freaked Sakura out so much it made her feel like hell had just frozen over. "Why hello, and who might you be, young girl?" Mrs. Yamamoto asked, the words rolling off her tongue.
It freaked Sakura out a little, but she ignored the tone the woman's voice had. "I'm Sakura Kinomoto. This is my brother Touya and my friends Tomoyo, Eriol, Syaoran and Yukito." Sakura stated, pointing to each of her friends as she called their name.
"That's wonderful that you have already made friends, Yaki. You and Suki only have to do one song today." Mrs. Yamamoto turned to leave but stopped and turned back to Sakura. "It was wonderful to meet you, Sakura-chan." The tone of the lady's voice sent shivers up Sakura's spine. Sakura nodded and followed Yaki and Suki to another room.
Toshahira Yamamoto smirked as the last person left the main hall. She then turned and entered the study where she could contact her masters. She closed the door as quietly as she could and crept to the magical circle she had created there ever since she had discovered she was harboring the child she'd been looking for all those years…the reincarnation of Clow Reed's brat Kaguya.
Toshahira closed her eyes and began a summoning chant to call her masters.
"I call upon the power of the day and the night,
Froce know my plight,
I call my masters from the darkness of light!"
(anime_angel123: Can I get dumber with incantations? The answer is yes!)
As soon as the words left her mouth, two figures appeared in front of her. "What is it, Toshahira?" The taller one said, annoyance clear in her voice.
"The brat has befriended the Sakura Card Mistress." The shorter figure nodded. "Wait a few weeks. We have been watching their activities as well. Wait for the opportune moment, Yamamoto."
Toshahira nodded. "Yes, Master, yes Mistress." The figures both nodded and disappeared. Toshahira picked herself off the ground and began to walk to the girls' practice room, a smirk planted on her face.

"What song to do?" Suki asked as she continuously looked through all of the pair's songs.
"I know, I know!" Yaki squealed, jumping up and down. Suki raised an eyebrow. "What song?"
"Blue as the Sky!!" Yaki suggested, waving the CD for Suki to see.
Suki shrugged. "Don't you think that Eriol-chan, Tomoyo-chan, Syaoran-chan and Sakura-chan?" Yaki cast a glance at the four twelve year olds and shook her head.
"I don't think so, remember this is Japan, not the U.S." Yaki said.
Suki chuckled. "I guess your right." She said as she caught the CD Yaki threw at her and placed it into the CD player. Yaki ran on the mini-stage and turned around.
"Can you guys hear me?" Yukito heard and turned around to see Yaki smiling at him. Yukito returned the smile and nodded.
"Okay." Yaki helped Suki onto the stage and handed her a head-microphone (anime_angel123: Is that the word for it??).
"Ready?" Suki asked, her microphone still turned off. Yaki glanced at the small audience.
"Yukito is hot cute when he smiles…" Yaki thought out loud, thanking Kami her microphone was turned off. Suki giggled. "Well, say what you want, he's no where near Touya's league." Yaki giggled a little bit. Just then, Yaki remembered something.
"We forgot to tell everybody our stage names!" Yaki exclaimed. "Oh yeah!" Suki had completely forgotten about that. With that she turned her microphone on. "Hey guys! It's not like you really need to know this, but we forgot to tell you our American stage names." Suki muttered sheepishly. She could tell Yaki was rolling her eyes behind her. "I'm Kero-chan and Yaki's is Souppy-chan. Just to let you know."
Toshahira arrived in the practice room and turned on the CD player. "Alright girls!" Yaki looked up to see her mother and nodded. She mimicked Suki who turned her back and waited as the song started, beginning her opening dance moves, her best friend mimicking her perfectly.
(anime_angel123: I DON'T own this song. It's Blue as the Sky by Chaka)
Yaki waited for a few seconds before opening her mouth and letting her voice pour into the words off the song perfectly. She knew Suki would cover the English words since Yaki wasn't that familiar with English.

Yukito couldn't believe his eyes, or ears for that matter. The dance was great all by itself but Yaki's voice was the best he'd ever heard. He was sure even Yue would think the girl had some talent. As the song ended, Yukito clapped along with everyone else and suddenly received a strange emotion come from the moon guardian. Yukito couldn't recognize it, so he pushed it aside and turned to Yaki who had appeared at his side.
"So, what did you think?" Yaki asked and she could feel her eyes asking the question as well. She felt like melting as she saw the smile on Yukito's face. "You were great!" Yaki returned Yukito's warm smile. "Thanks."
Suki felt like laughing until she ran into Touya. "That was great." Suki grinned. "We were popular in the States, but Yaki and my mom wanted to move to Japan and see how we'd do here. We haven't done anything yet, since Yaki and I are still looking for a school that we can stay in without getting into fights and being expelled."
Touya nodded as he took a glance at his watch. "Yo, Sakura. Tousan told me to call him when we're ready to go!" the said girl was in a deep conversation with Eriol.
"Her voice is very familiar to me, so is Suki-san's." Eriol stated his fingers laced around his key shaped like a sun. Sakura thought for a moment before casting a glance at everyone else. "You don't think that Yaki and Suki could be the aura's we've been sensing lately?" Sakura asked.
Eriol shrugged before joining the others. That left Sakura deep in thought. "OI, Sakura!! We've got to call `tousan. I need to get my homework done!" Sakura nodded and followed Touya outside so he could use his mobile phone.
As everyone left, including Suzuki, Toshahira turned to the one she was forced to claim as her daughter. "Go do your homework. I do not wish to see you again until it is time for your dinner duties." Yaki sighed. What her mother meant by "dinner duties" was cooking dinner, setting the plates, cleaning up and make a cup of tea for her mother as she read a book by the fireplace.
~@~@~@~@~@~@~@~
"Ayaka-san and Suzuki-san? I still think it's too weird of an idea. I didn't sense any magic around them." Sakura stated.
"That might mean that they can subconsciously hide their magic. Besides, Ayaka Yamamoto reminds me of her…" Yue trailed off as he stared out of the window. Sakura sighed. "Well, if they come over tomorrow, I'll have to tell them about the Sakura Cards."
Kero spat out the tea he was drinking and stared at both Yue and Sakura. "Are you two nuts? We can't tell anyone!" Sakura rolled her eyes. "Kero, shut up." The said beast closed his mouth and continued drinking his tea.
Yue felt like grinning at Kero's state as he glanced at Sakura's desk clock. "I'd better go to Yukito's home now, Mistress. Yukito's body needs rest." Sakura nodded and Yue left, his angelic wings carrying him into the night sky.
We'd better find these auras soon. Yue thought to himself. I sense another mystical force, this one is of much evil.
