Kitty Neko: Hiya everyone! I'm glad that you liked my first chapter! Thank you for the reviews! Are you proud of me? It only took me a week to update! I've been working very hard on this! I'll try to get chapter three out quickly too, but it might take slightly longer. Spring break has been over for a week and I'm back into school. Ugh… Not to mention that I need to get busy on my other story Roommates. If it takes me a long time, blame my algebra teacher and tennis coach! I know I do! Enjoy the story!

Disclaimer: I do not own CardCaptor Sakura.

"A-Are you talking to me?" Syaoran stuttered. He was hardly ever reduced to stuttering but surprise had gotten the best of him.

The girl rolled her eyes before answering, "Whom else would I be talking to? You're the only one here." She then mumbled something under her breath that he didn't quite catch but was sure he wouldn't like. He would have said something rude back but there were more important matters at hand.

"So…" Syaoran said slowly, pointing at his face, "You can see me?"

"Yes." The way she said it implied that she thought he was slow. Making a not-so-nice gesture with her middle finger she asked, "Can you see this?"

"Yes, but who would want to do that to you?"

She seemed a little shocked at his words but didn't reply. Instead, she spun on her heel and walked away. Realizing that his only hope was leaving, Syaoran raced after her. "Hey, where are you going?"

She glanced over her shoulder to see that he had already caught up with her. "To school. Shouldn't you do the same? You don't look older than me."

"It's kind of hard to do that when you're invisible." Never mind that he wouldn't have gone anyways.

This caught her attention. She stopped so abruptly that Syaoran had to backtrack a couple of steps. "I'm guessing that you're either a psycho or a lunatic. Which is it?"

"I'm serious." Syaoran insisted.

"Uh huh. And I'm a psychic." Syaoran cringed at her choice of words but since she brought it up…

"That's actually how I got in this mess. You see-"

"I don't have time for this crap." She cut him off mid-sentence. And with that, she sped off in the direction of her school… with Syaoran on her heels.

"Go away!" She screamed. When that didn't seem to work, she gave up and flat out ignored him. Syaoran had never been ignored before in his life and was about to hit her upside the head when the first bell rang.

The halls were so crammed with students that Syaoran had a hard time keeping sight of the girl. To keep up with her, he had to push a lot of people out of his way. Luckily for him, everyone was used to this and barely noticed. Syaoran stumbled over someone's foot and had to regain his balance. When he looked up he was just in time to see her duck inside a nearby classroom.

By the time that he made it to the classroom she was unpacking and he cleared his throat to get her attention. She looked up at him with a pleasant expression, but it soon turned sour. "What the hell are you doing here?"

"That's not a very nice thing to say to your best friend, Sakura."

Syaoran turned around at the unfamiliar voice to see a girl with long black hair and amethyst eyes. She was smiling at the girl with brown hair, who was obviously named Sakura, sweetly.

"I didn't mean you, Tomoyo."

Syaoran jumped out of the way just in time. A second later and Tomoyo would have walking right into an invisible `wall'. Sakura shot him an odd look but didn't comment.

Tomoyo took her seat next to Sakura and set her bag down. "I met an idiot guy in the park," Here, Sakura had to pause because the tardy bell rang. There was no teacher in the classroom, so she continued, "He's been following me."

"Really?" Tomoyo arched a perfectly shaped eyebrow at her friend. "What did he look like?"

"You're kidding, right?"

"No."

Sakura lifted her arm and pointed in Syaoran's direction. "He's right there!"

Tomoyo turned her head and arched her eyebrow again. "That's not a very nice thing to say about Takashi." Syaoran looked over his shoulder to see a boy with black hair behind him.

Sakura blanched. Syaoran enjoyed watching as the color drained from her face. "You don't see him?" she asked, barely above a whisper.

"Um… no?"

"You don't see a guy standing in front of Takashi with brown hair and amber eyes and not wearing a school uniform?" Sakura sounded a little desperate and Syaoran chuckled.

"Sakura, are you feeling ok?" Tomoyo reached over their desks and put her hand on Sakura's forehead. She looked worried for her friend.

"I'm fine. Are you sure you don't see him?" Sakura asked one more time.

"Yes, I'm sure."

"Good." Sakura said, faking. She didn't want her friend to worry about her. "There's not one. I was just messing with you. You know, one last prank before Spring Break."

Tomoyo rolled her eyes and smacked Sakura on the arm lightly. At that moment, the teacher walked in looking annoyed. "Get out something to do. I don't care what, just don't talk."

Tomoyo grabbed a book but Sakura pulled out a pen and some paper from her backpack. Syaoran moved so that he was standing right next to her and she eyed him wearily. Shaking slightly, she wrote `Are you a ghost?' on the paper. Syaoran leaned forward so that he was right next to her ear before whispering, "No."

It wasn't necessary for him to whisper since she was the only one that could hear him, but he wanted to have a little fun with her. If he didn't want to get straight to the point, he would have said yes. She seemed terrified of ghosts.

Reaching over to Tomoyo's desk, Syaoran selected a single hair from her head and yanked hard and quick. Tomoyo jumped, startled and glared at the boy sitting behind her. "I wouldn't have been able to do that if I was a ghost. Aren't they supposed to not be solid?"

Seeming satisfied with that answer, Sakura relaxed and scribbled down another message `don't do that again. Tomoyo might pummel the poor defenseless guy behind her.' Syaoran chuckled and watched as Sakura wrote more. `If you're not a ghost, what are you?'

"That's a long story." Syaoran launched into his story while Sakura pretended to be busy working. Not like it mattered, her teacher wasn't paying any attention. "And you see, since you're the only person who can see me, there's no one else I can go to. Would you help me?"

Sakura scowled. Uh oh. That was definitely not what he was expecting. Angrily, she scribbled down another sentence. `It sounds like you got exactly what you deserve.'

"You're not going to help me?" Syaoran shrieked. Very uncharacteristic, but there was no time to worry about that. Sakura winced at the sound but wrote three more words.

`No. Go away.'

After reading her message, he let out a bark of laughter. "Ha! Yea right! There's no one else who can help me. Don't think I'm going to give up."

More writing. `Try all you want. I don't care. You won't change my mind. Don't think that I forgot what you did to that poor guy in the park.'

Can't change her mind, huh? Syaoran thought evilly. We'll see about that.

Third period (after lunch). Sakura's class was watching a movie while Sakura attempted to ignore Syaoran once again. She still refused to help him, but Syaoran hadn't given up. He had bothered her throughout lunch, and wasn't about to quit. "I have all the time in the world," he said out loud. "You're the only one who can see and hear me. I'm not going to give up." He poked her in the side for emphasis. No response. He was starting to get frustrated.

He was stubborn but so was she. She had gotten used to his constant pokes and stopped reacting to them. It was a good thing too. She was tired of making excuses to her classmates and teacher as to why she kept jerking. Luckily, Tomoyo wasn't in this class or it would have been harder.

With an idea in mind, Syaoran crouched down low and moved so that he was underneath Sakura. "What are you doing?" She hissed out of the corner of her mouth.

"Trying to see your panties." He answered simply. Sakura's eyes widened and she kicked him in the head. A few people turned around in their seats to see what she was doing.

"There was a bug on my leg." Sakura said lamely while glaring at Syaoran who was sitting on the floor and rubbing his head. Sighing, Sakura got up and went to her teacher. "May I go to the restroom?" She nodded. Most likely, the teacher was very glad to be rid of Sakura for a couple of minutes. Her constant fidgeting was getting on everyone's nerves.

Sakura took her leave with Syaoran following. The walk to the bathroom seemed longer than it ever had before. Probably because she had never had a guy jumping in circles around her chanting, "Help me, help me," Over and over again. By the time that she actually reached the stalls, she was ready to rip her hair out. Actually, she was ready to rip HIS hair out… and his eyes and tongue.

Sakura was about to close her stall door when she realized Syaoran was in there with her. "What are you doing?"

"I've always been curious about the anatomy of a girl." He grinned widely at her. Sakura pushed him out, slammed the door and locked it.

"Look at your own body." She said.

"Ouch, that one struck a nerve." Syaoran paused. "No, really it did." His insistence was obviously not sincere. Bending over, he looked under the stall door. Luckily for Sakura, she was only unzipping her pants. When she lifted her leg in warning, he withdrew.

There was a trickling sound and then one of pants being zipped up. The toilet flushed and Sakura reemerged. Turning on the faucet, she began to wash her hands.

"Ok." She muttered under her breath. Syaoran leaned closer to her.

"What was that?"

"I said ok. I'll help you. You're driving me crazy and I can tell you're not going to give up."

"Glad to see that you finally realized the smart thing to do."

Sakura gave him a withering glare. "Don't push it. I can change my mind."

They fell into silence while Sakura was drying her hands on a coarse paper towel. "So, what's your name?" she asked.

"Syaoran Li."

"Syaoran? Little wolf?" she grinned wiggling her eyebrows suggestively, "Is there a LITTLE wolf junior?"

Syaoran caught the insult but decided to turn in around on her. "Yes, but he's not little. Also, he's hibernating right now."

"Hibernating? What's wrong? Can't get it up?" Sakura asked, just as he knew she would. She was so predictable.

"Not around you." He quipped.

Sakura frowned. "You certainly are a mouthy little bastard."

"You're one to talk."

Sakura groaned, throwing away the paper towel. "I can see this is going to be a long day." Realization came across Sakura's features. "You said that you wanted me to help you, but what do you want me to do? And how come I'm the only one that can see you? Why me?"

Syaoran looked uncomfortable at this question. "I'm… not really sure. The psychic said that I'm going to have to figure it out on my own."

"Is that your answer to all three of my questions?"

"Yes."

Sakura stopped dead in her tracks. "So what you're telling me is that you have no idea what we're supposed to do. This is probably going to take more than one day, right?"

"Yea."

Insert extra loud groan.

"So," Syaoran poked Sakura in the side, "What class do WE have next?"

*****

"Keep your eyes shut." Sakura hissed to Syaoran, turning the last number to the combination of her locker and opening it.

"What was that?" Tomoyo asked, tugging off her shirt.

"Nothing." The brunet grumbled, wishing that she didn't have tennis that day. Of course, the one day that an invisible boy was following her everywhere she went, she would have to go into a locker room full of changing girls. The irony.

"Hey," Syaoran snapped Sakura out of her thoughts, "Your friend has nice breasts. And that girl's over there…" he made the comment just to annoy her. He wasn't really a pervert (just slightly) but it was fun to watch her get mad.

Sakura, on the other hand, ignored him and pulled off her shirt, leaving herself exposed. "You're not too bad either." Syaoran commented. She could feel her face heat up, kind of like when she was in the sun too long. Wait! She thought. What did she have to be embarrassed about? Her figure was nice and she was lucky enough to grab her nicest bra that day. Her panties, on the other hand, were a completely different story.

Quickly, Sakura pulled on a large shirt before changing into her shorts. That way, no one had to know that she was wearing her teddy bear underwear with the worn elastic and the hole.

After pulling back her hair and tying her shoes, she grabbed her racket, slammed her locker shut, and exited the locker room. Tomoyo was having a hard time pulling her hair up, so she stayed behind.

Once they were alone outside Sakura turned to look at her shadow companion. He seemed shocked into silence and, even though she would never ask why, she was curious. Fortunately, he supplied an answer without her having to say anything.

"Some girls have ABSOLUTELY NO business wearing thongs."

Sakura laughed in both amusement and triumph. "I told you to stay outside and wait for me while I changed."

"But you might have tried to ditch me." Syaoran said, "And I can't have that."

"The thought never crossed my mind." It actually would have been impossible to lose him, but she would have been willing to try if he gave her the chance. Apparently, that wasn't going to happen though.

"Let's get something straight," Sakura began, laying down the rules, "You sit around during my practice and I'll help you out afterwards. You are to do nothing, hear me? NOTHING for the next couple of hours."

The threat might as well have fallen on deaf ears but Syaoran pretended to agree anyways. Together, they made their way to the tennis courts, not talking because other people were around.

As soon as Syaoran saw the coach, he blanched. Earlier, during lunch, Tomoyo had been making fun of their coach but now he understood that she wasn't exaggerating. The young woman looked to be about 25 and she also, sort of, looked like a stripper. Of course, Syaoran would have paid her to put clothes ON. She wore WAY too much base and her hair looked like it was alive or something. If he recalled correctly, Sakura and Tomoyo had a nickname for her… he thought it was probably the Grinch. When she smiled he could see why. She had a mouth full of metal!

Turning her big hair to look at her pupils she said. "We're playing games today. Remember to try new things. Court one: Sakura Kinomoto and Eriol Hirragizawa." Sakura went to the basket full of tennis balls, and if he wasn't mistaking, her cheeks were colored a light pink. The coach continued to call out names and Syaoran followed Sakura.

On court one, Sakura met up with a boy slightly taller than her with dark hair and bluish-black eyes framed by glasses. When he smiled at her, her face turned a darker shade of red. Interesting…

They warmed up for five minutes before starting on their game. As Syaoran watched, he could see that Eriol was good at tennis. But even so, Sakura was too. Eriol's particular strength came when he rushed the net. This was also Sakura's strength. She would lob it over his head and send him running. The game was close 7-5 with Sakura as the victor. Syaoran yawned loudly, catching Sakura's attention. While Eriol was getting water, Syaoran walked up to her.

"Do you know how boring tennis is to watch?"

"Yes," Sakura scowled, "That's why I play it and don't watch it. I thought I told you to sit around while I have tennis practice. You're standing."

"Well, since Eriol is getting water, I thought I'd come and say hi."

At Eriol's name, Sakura flushed deep crimson. Syaoran studied her face like she was a pickled frog set on the dissecting table, ready to be cut up and examined. "Ah, you like this `Eriol' character, don't you?"

Eggs and bacon, anyone? `Skillet Sakura' diverted her gaze to the floor, face burning with embarrassment. "Yes. No one else has noticed."

"Really? People are dumber than I even thought. It was very obvious. Let me guess, it was one of those `love at first sight' things." Syaoran rolled his eyes at the thought. She had probably liked that Eriol guy since the moment that she laid eyes on him.

Sakura's head snapped up and she glared at him. "As a matter of fact, I don't believe in love at first sight. Maybe infatuation, but not love. That's not to mean that it couldn't turn into love…" She stopped herself from babbling, "But my point is that I knew Eriol for over a year before I actually started liking him."

Syaoran was actually taken aback. Until then, he hadn't ever heard a girl say that she didn't believe in love at first sight. This Sakura girl was definitely a strange one.

"So what do you like about that guy?" Syaoran's curiosity got the best of him. He had to ask.

"Well, actually-"

"You know, Sakura, talking to yourself is a sign of insanity."

Sakura froze and turned slowly. Eriol smiled at her. "I-I wasn't talking to myself!" The girl sputtered. Syaoran laughed loudly at her face. When she turned to glare at him, Syaoran imagined the fires of Hades engulfing his very being. That girl knew how to give death glares! Syaoran wondered where she learned it. It might work on his older sisters.

Somehow, Sakura was able to wiggle herself away from an even more embarrassing situation and started to hit the ball back and forth with Eriol. Syaoran had sat down again and was getting extremely bored when an idea popped into his head. He could make tennis practice a little more fun…

When he stood, Sakura glanced at him out of the corner of her eye. If Eriol weren't there, she would have asked him what he thought he was doing.

Slowly, leisurely, Syaoran made his way to the middle of the court. Eriol slammed the ball and as it was going by Syaoran, he stuck his hand out… and grabbed it.

Time seemed to stand still. Deciding that he had held it long enough, Syaoran dropped the ball back on Eriol's side of the court. "What happened?!" Eriol asked, bewildered.

"I don't know." Sakura said, feigning ignorance. When tennis practice was over she was going to have a word with that invisible pain in the ass.

And that's the way the rest of practice went. Syaoran continued to mess up both Eriol and Sakura's shots and also started to pirouette around the tennis courts. It got to the point that Sakura wasn't even trying to get the ball over the net. She had a new target. Syaoran dodged most of the time, but she did get a couple of shots in when she slammed the ball with all her might.

It was at 4:45 that a thoroughly pissed Sakura went back to the locker rooms with the rest of the team. "I hate my double's partner!" Tomoyo cried slamming her locker shut. Lucky for her, the partner in question had already left. "One of my biggest pet peeves is ball hogs and just who do I have as my partner? The biggest ball hog on the team! I wouldn't be as mad if she could actually make her shots IN!"

Sakura nodded along, shutting her locker door and retying her shoes. "You know what my biggest pet peeve is?"

Tomoyo stopped her ranting for a minute to look at her best friend. "What?"

"Things that are invisible."

"Invisible?"

Sakura nodded. Syaoran got the jest, but it didn't faze him in the least. At least he had enjoyed himself a little that day. "What do you mean by invisible?" Tomoyo asked.

"Well, like the wind (among other things). It's harder to play tennis in the wind."

"Uh huh." Tomoyo took this as a suitable answer and waved to her friend. "I've got to go now. I'll call you. Bye!"

"Bye!" Sakura waved and as soon as Tomoyo was out of sight, she turned to her invisible companion. "All right, you stupid," Insert several unprintable words right about here, "What do you want me to do?"

Kitty Neko: Hope you liked it! I'll update as soon as I can! Ja!
