Why Don't You and I Get Together

Chapter 3- Prom Date

Daidouji Tomoyo leaved a note in the room of her mother, Sonomi, if ever she'll arrive back home.

"Please tell her that we'll be fine. I promise I'll bring home some souvenirs from---"

"Oh, miss Tomoyo! We'll really miss you!!" claimed their house maid, even her bodyguards and other house helpers cried. (Not all of course!)

Their dearest Tomoyo smiled gently. "Oh, c'mon! Don't be so emotional! Or else I'll cry too!" she cheered them up `cause they don't want (Mirrorangel05: And never wish! Me either!) to see her sad, even cry.

"Mister Hiiragizawa, please take good care of our dear Tomoyo." One of the maids favored Hiiragizawa Eriol, one of Tomoyo's close friend, mortal enemy, seatmate, and classmate.

The two teenagers turned slightly red, especially Eriol. He's never been asked such a favor from his previous girl friend/s (Mirrorangel05: I mean it, girl with the separate friends. Not girlfriend, the, you know! (=0) But , what's wrong with asking that favor anyway?

He just grinned and nodded. "Don't worry. Your dear will be safe with me."

The girl sighed. "Liar!" She jester to him, then they all chuckled.

"So, we'll live now." Tomoyo concluded the talk, as Eriol opened the main door of the Daidouji manor.

"Take care miss Tomoyo!"

"We'll miss you!"

"Be careful out there!"

"Be safe."

"Send us a call!"

They bidded too as the teenagers went inside the car. They waved at them as Tomoyo smiled at them and there they go…

Good timing! They're already there at quarter to eight. Fifteen more minutes before their departure. Everybody is so excited, and, all, as in all the juniors and seniors are going on the trip! Prom preps in three days, prom night on the fourth day, and free day at the next day, and lastly, their departure in the last day.

"Daidouji Tomoyo!"

" I'm present, sir.""

"Hiiragizawa Eriol!"

"Present sir."

"Okay, all are here. So, what are we waiting for?" Sir Kanzaki started as the bus started to go.

The bus is quite noisy. There are whispers, murmurs, laughs and jokes.

"I'm glad everybody went to join the trip, Hiiragizawa! But sad thing is, it's only five days." Tomoyo shared to Eriol, they're partners in the bus and roommates too.

"Yeah, but that's fine with me. Five days being with you, nah!" replied he in a joking manner.

She raised an eyebrow. "Duh! Don't expect much of me! I know you're already tired seeing my face." she answered back, as she zipped her bag.

He laughed. " Oh, c'mon, Daidouji! Ah, speaking of you, do you have a partner on the coming prom?"

"Um, unfortunately none. Why?"

"Um, can you be my prom date?" he asked her shyly, being straight to the point!

Tomoyo blushed, Eriol is in slightly pink.

"Uhm, you don't mind, do you? Are you sure? You're my partner in the fieldtrip, you're my roommate, you're my seatmate too but still you're asking me to be your partner, uh, prom date I should say!" she told her partner. But she still likes to be with him. She feels comfortable when she's with him, and same with Eriol.

He laughed out again. "Oh, Daidouji-san, stop acting gibberish! I'm serious about it." He said back, and in the second sentence, he expressed it with a serious tone.

His partner's face flamed more.

After almost all of the time spending with him, he asks me still if I can be his prom date! I really don't know what's with this guy! She claimed in her mind, looking at his eyes.

Maybe I'm a bit fast, am I not? I think so… But, I really like to be with her, maybe as a friend. I guess we're getting closer and closer each day… That's good. He thought, staring at her beautiful amethyst eyes lovingly.

"Uh, Hiiragizawa, I-I-----" she started, stuttering.

"You what? Ah!---"

"Uh yeah, I made up my mind. No big deal with it!" she finally `said yes' to him, with an obvious happy expression seen on her oh-so-beautiful face.

He chuckled. "You mean, you'll be my prom date?"

She smirked. "Got it right."

"Like thanks for saying `yes with it! Even if you didn't say yes."

She giggled. "Of course there's a condition."

"Therefore, what is it?"

But before saying it, Tomoyo suddenly snickered. (Mirrorangel05: I'm sorry if I made her doing the snicker! It just suited the situation!)

"Hey what's so---"

"Sorry for that! Unless uh, you'll not laugh with ourselves if we look so silly during the prom!"

"Huh? What do you mean?"

"I mean, lets act like an, uh, you know!" (Mirrorangel05: Act like as if they're really close. Act like not set-up or as if they're strangers to one another. Got it?)

He smirked. "Oh, I got it. No problem with that."

"Thanks."

They already arrived at the hotel. Their adviser (teacher) already gave the students their keys to their designated rooms…

The rest of the student body already went to their respective rooms, except for the two outstanding students of third year-class B.

"Daidouji and Hiiragizawa, please do not do that again. And please, do not argue in your room. I mean, what if you're already married and you're staying in one roof? How can you---"

"Principal, excuse me. What are you talking about? We're just close friends. Eriol and I don't have a serious relationship, like, you know." interrupted Tomoyo in a polite way.

"Huh? Uh, nothing. You may proceed in your room right now."

"Thank you." Chorused the two as they get their bags, then wait for the elevator to open.
