Chapter 2: Christmas Cheer
Over the next few weeks the weather had turned cold. Link had started feeling at home. Of course, every girl in the entire school had gotten a huge crush on him. Link was beginning to suspect that even Yumi, who was a tomboy, was also falling for him. “So Link, doing anything special for the Christmas holidays?” Jeremy asked who was in the factory with Link working on another materialization program for Aelita. “What exactly is Christmas Jeremy?” Link asked turning his head to one side like Aelita usually did. “You don't know about Christmas, oh you'll love it here I'll explain.” Jeremy exclaimed turning his chair facing Link. After Jeremy told Link everything about the holiday know as Christmas Link felt his heart leaping. “ Wow, Christmas sounds like so much fun.” Link sighed combing his bangs out of his face. “It sure is Link, and it's coming up very soon, just watch out for any girl carrying mistletoe.” Jeremy said smiling. “What''s mistletoe?” Link asked interested. “Well, when two men stand under mistletoe they hug, however if a man and woman are under mistletoe they kiss on the lips.” Jeremy said. Link felt his face drop, which made Jeremy burst into hysterical laughter. “Well I know what'll happen tomorrow at school with every girl.” Link shaking his head in disgust for his good looks. Jeremy nodded agreeing with Link and returned to his work. Link decided to head back to school due to extreme boredom. As he neared the entrance to Kadic, Link saw a girl with a very deep tan leaning against a tree. “ Oh hello, do you go to Kadic as well?” Link asked politely. “Hey, my name's Samantha, Sam for short, yeah I do go here.” Sam said with a flirting look in her eyes. Link could feel a fluttering sensation in his stomach as Sam looked over his lean and muscular frame. “Hey look up above your head, I've put a surprise on the tree limb.” Sam said pointing above his head. Link looked up and felt his face fall. Up above in the tree was a small bit of mistletoe. “Oh crud.” Link moaned. “Okay now lover boy pucker up.” Sam said. Link was not one to say no to a woman, so he puckered his lips together. Sam smiled and leaned forward. Link felt Sam kiss him with considerable force. Sam moaned as she pressed Link against the tree. Just as Sam put her tounge into Link's mouth, Yumi found them kissing. “LINK!” Yumi yelled. Link and Sam separated panting. “Yumi, I didn't want to kiss her, but it was the mistletoe I swear.” Link said, trying to reason with the angered Yumi. Yumi gave Link the evil eye, but then for some odd reason, smiled. I just can't stay mad at you, I forgive you.” Yumi said giving Link a hug. As Yumi left, Link looked at her turning his head to one side. “Man girls are weird.” Link said scratching the back of his head. “Well, guess I'll see you around handsome.” Sam said kissing Link on his cheek. Link stared at her strangely and went back to his dorm room. Link sat down on his bed and pulled out a black leather book and began to read, though his reading skills were a tad on the rusty side since he was a frequent traveler. “Hey hey hey Link, I'm going to take a wild guess here and say that Jeremy is at the factory working on his materialization program for Aelita, so am I right?” Odd asked flopping down next to Link. “ Yep he is, I guess he'll be there for some time, hey by the way, do you know a girl by the name of Sam?” Link asked putting down his book. “Yeah I do, I was thinking about asking her to the Christmas dance, why”? Odd asked. “Well, she surprised me with mistletoe and I had to kiss her, it's the gentleman within me.” Link said in disgust. Odd looked at Link, shocked beyond all human knowledge. “WHAT, YOU KISSED HER, LINK SHE WAS SUPPOSED TO BE MY GIRLFRIEND AFTER THE DANCE I WAS GONNA ASK HER, NOW YOU'VE RUINED IT!!” Odd yelled angrily. Odd ran out the door and Link thought he saw Odd crying. “Oh my sweet Farore what have I done?” Link asked himself in complete self disgust. Link put his head in his hands ashamed of himself for what he had done to his newfound friends. Link began to think of ways that he could make it up to Odd. Link then heard the dorm door open. “Hey Link, I've got something for you, me, Jeremy, Odd, and Yumi decided to get this for you so that we could stay a few steps ahead of old Xana.” Ulrich said handing him a box. Link looked at the box curiously and opened it. “Oh wow!” Link yelled happily. Inside the box was a green cell phone. “ All you need now is a ring tone and you're all set.” Ulrich said thinking. Link nodded in agreement and went on Jeremy's laptop looking for ring tones. “I found one real neat.” Link said excitedly. Ulrich leaned on the chair to listen to Link's selected ring tone. Link clicked on the play button and the Imperial March song played. “I think that Jeremy'll really like that ring tone, he's always reading Star Wars books.” Ulrich said clapping in approval. Link smiled and laughed at that and downloaded the ring tone to his cell phone. Link thought that he'd send Odd a text message telling him that he was sorry for kissing Sam. Link sent the message and waited for a reply. About 5 minuets later Link's Imperial March ring tone played alerting him of the reply from Odd. “Ah that's such a relief, Odds forgiven me for kissing Sam, he also admits that it was mistletoe so he sees no way that I could've refused.” Link sighed happily. Ulrich raised an eyebrow at Link. “Oh I'll explain.” Link said seeing Ulrich's quizzical look. Link told Ulrich about what had occurred between him and Sam under the mistletoe. “Wow, you kissed Sam before Odd, he's been fantasizing about that for weeks.” Ulrich said smiling. Link gave a small grin and started reading his book again. After about an hour Ulrich and Link went to the cafeteria for dinner. As Ulrich and Link got their trays of food, Sissy came over to Link. “Hello Link dearest, look I've got mistletoe.” Sissy said in a singsong tone wiggling the mistletoe above his head. “Alright Sissy I'll kiss you, I'm to nice to hurt a girl's feelings.” Link sighed. Sissy felt that Christmas had come 10 times at Link's response. Sissy put on some lipstick and puckered up. Link leaned forward and gave Sissy a small peck on the lips. Sissy felt her heart sore when Link's lips met hers in that small peck. When they broke, Sissy started dancing about in shear joy. “Link, do you need medical attention?” Ulrich asked. “Medic, we need a medic now people!” Odd said from behind Ulrich. Ulrich began to make ambulance sounds. Odd, Ulrich and Link started laughing. Their laughter was contagious and soon the whole cafeteria was cracking up. “Hey guys, is it true Link, did you actually kiss Sissy under mistletoe?” Jeremy asked sitting down next to Link. Link nodded, which made Jeremy gasp in amazement. “So, just out of shear curiosity, is Sissy a good kisser?” Ulrich asked eating some mashed potatoes. “Well believe it or nor, she was actually a knock-out kisser.” Link said in thought. Odd dropped his fork in shock and amazement. Jeremy and Ulrich looked at each other slightly afraid. “ You are aware that when Yumi finds out and she will, due to the fact that women have a sort of chain of communication system that they can all hear about anything, that she will beat you so bad that even a puzzle genius won't be able to put you back together, you do know that don't you?” Jeremy asked looking at Link seriously. “Well now that you mention it, I'M SCARED OUT OF MY WITS THAT I KNOW YUMI'S GONNA TURN ME INTO A PUDDLE OF BLOOD AND TWITCHING FLESH!!” Link yelled in pure fright. “Jeremy, as of right now your talking privileges are over.” Ulrich said. Jeremy nodded wishing he hadn't said anything. “Hey Link, just in case worse comes to worse, you should make out your will.” Odd suggested. “Yeah you're right for once Odd, I had better make a will and fast.” Link said quickly eating his chicken and baked potato. “Odd you're no longer allowed to speak until further notice.” Ulrich said glaring at Odd. Odd shrugged as if he didn't know what he had done wrong. Link ran smack into Yumi landing on top of her. “Well, this is an awkward position.” Yumi said blushing darkly. “Sorry, Yumi I don't approve of lying or of putting things off, so I'm going to tell you this now, I kissed Sissy under some mistletoe.” Link said putting up his arms in self defense. “Oh well, you're just nice, it's okay, oh damn.” Yumi said looking up above her. Link looked up and saw a cluster of mistletoe. “That damn accursed plant, let's do it and get it over with.” Yumi said . Link nodded confirming that they should do it quickly. “You can do the kissing Yumi.” Link said politely. Yumi smiled grimly and puckered her lips together and leaned forward. When Yumi's lips met Link's, their minds were shocked by the warmth and sweet taste of each other's lips. Yumi slid her tounge into Link's mouth and licked his tounge with her own. Link let out a loud moan as did Yumi. They parted breathing hard. “Link, you're a very hot kisser, your lips are sweet and taste sexy.” Yumi said licking her lips. Link blushed embarrassedly. Yumi giggled at Link's blushing face and headed for her house. Link felt a strange fluttering sensation in his stomach as he saw Yumi's back go further into the evening shade. “I think that I just might be in love.” Link whispered to himself as he felt his lips. Link went back to the cafeteria and sat next to Odd. “Well, by the dazed look in his eyes I do believe that it's safe to assume that, Yumi beat Link senseless and then had her way with him.” Odd said looking at Link's dreamy look in his eyes. Ulrich smacked Odd on the head, but ironically he hurt his own hand in the processes. Jeremy burst out into hysterical laughter and fell off of the table and rolled on the floor laughing himself silly. Odd glared at Jeremy and smacked him playfully on the shoulder. Which turned into a playful tumble. Link, for some reason he didn't know, got involved in the playful fight. “Hey Odd, heads up.” Link said grabbing his books. Link brought his school books down upon Odds' head, making the purple loving weirdo yelp. “Hey Odd one question, where are you from, I mean originally?” Link asked panting slightly. “Well, I was born and raised in New Orleans, so I'm Cajun.” Odd said with pride. “So I guess being Cajun is what made you so goofy and love purple so much.” Ulrich said grinning. “Well, that may be true, and in my Cajun family everyone is a pretty good cook, but apparently that gene skipped me, last time I tried to cook, my mom's oven burst into flame.” Odd said thinking back to his home in New Orleans. “Well, if we take Cooking class, we shouldn't let Odd do the cooking, fortunately I am a very excellent chef, I've cooked for a friend named Saria, and she loved my mushroom soup, she's a vegetarian.” Link said with pride for his cooking skills. “So, after the soup dinner did you two start making out?” Odd asked smiling. “Making out, what's that exactly?” Link asked turning his head to one side. “Well, Odd would say something sick and dumb, but in the simplest terms it's kissing passionately.” Jeremy said adjusting his glasses. “That's kind like what Sam and I did under the mistletoe earlier today.” Link said thinking back to the early in the afternoon. “Woo boy Link, you're turning out to be a real ladies man.” Ulrich said making a wolf howl. Odd and Jeremy joined in on the howl as did Link. “So, who's the alpha male of this wolf pack?” Odd asked putting his tray up. “Well I should since I'm the tallest and most well built, that's how pack leaders are chosen in Warg packs back in my home of Hyrule.” Link said wisely. “What are Wargs exactly?” Jeremy asked. “Well Jeremy, they're the mockery of of the wolf, they can outrun a horse in a sprint, and their fur is dense and ruff, plus their fangs are yellow and long.” Link said thinking back to a book that he had read. “Wow Wargs sound very deadly.” Odd said folding his arms and looking at Link. Link nodded and he and Jeremy went back to their room. “So Link, tomorrow is Christmas eve, and that night is when we get our presents, I bet your excited.” Jeremy said smiling. “You're exactly right Jeremy, I can't wait to give out presents, I feel that it's better to give than to receive, but that's just me.” Link said happily.” “ Well Link, I'm very proud to hear you say that, it's very mature.” Jeremy said smiling at Link. Link blushed sheepishly. Jeremy laughed at Link's blush, and Link whacked Jeremy with his pillow, which ignited a huge pillow fight. At the end of the battle, Jeremy was leaning on his bed panting, Link, however was fine, Jeremy hadn't hit him once. “It's not fair that you're a Marine Link, it's like a cheat or something.” Jeremy said catching his breath. “Well, I guess you're right, or not.” Link taunted laughing so much that he hit the floor and got into a little tumble with Jeremy. Link ended the tussle by taking Jeremy's glasses. “Hey give those back!” Jeremy yelled laughing. “You want them, then reach for them.” Link said putting Jeremy's glasses up high on his cabinet. Jeremy jumped up and down trying to get his glasses. “Well Jer, looks like you won't be able to pass any tests for quite awhile now.” Link said smugly. Jeremy glared at Link playfully and attempted to smack him on the head, but missed by a mile. “Very nice Jeremy, but even a zombie could've hit me, but in reality a zombie couldn't hit me since it would be dead before it could get within 9 meters of me.” Link said thinking back to his days as a UAC Special Ops Marine. “I guess you're right, but there's one thing that your Marine training didn't include, and that is how to avoid your adoring female friends.” Jeremy said trying to see where on the cabinet his glasses were. “Too true, I guess the gentleman in me won' t allow me to break a girl's heart, and my friend Saria once said that I don't see people as pretty or ugly, I see what's in their very souls.” Link said giving Jeremy his glasses back. “You know Link, this Saria is right more than she knows, you truly do see what's in a persons' soul, an example of this is that you don't tease Sissy like Ulrich and Odd do, and though I don't like her much either, I think its very nice of you, and yet it's very creepy.” Jeremy said adjusting his glasses. Link shrugged at this and grabbed a black leather book and started to read. “So Link, what's that book about anyhow?” Jeremy asked looking at the Hylian text. “Oh it's a great tale, it's about how the Hylians fought against huge hordes of Uruk-Hai, an Uruk- Hai is a breed of Orcs, but they're bigger, stronger, can run longer distances without resting, and can resist the light of the sun, anyhow in this part that I'm at the great stratified Commander Lenoncer killed 1,000 Uruk- Hai by order of a very well organized sneak attack, Lenoncer and his 500 troops hid in the pitch darkness disguised as bushes and when the Uruks passed by, the archers fired a huge volley of arrows killing every Uruk, including the captain which sent the rest of the Uruk-Hai into dissaray since they had lost their chief, you see Jer in every Orc group or Uruk-Hai band the leader keeps order and if the leader is killed the rest don't know what to do and then they're easier to bring down.” Link explained reading aloud. “Very impressive strategy, Lenoncer was a very intelligent man.” Jeremy said approvingly. Link nodded and read on. After a few hours of reading Link went to the bathrooms to take a nice hot shower. “One thing Link, don't let any girls grab your bath robe and make you walk around bare butt naked to get it back.” Jeremy said smiling. “You hush or I'll snap your neck in 20 different ways.” Link said giving Jeremy a threatening death glare. Jeremy cocked an eyebrow. Link smiled and walked down the hall. Link took off his clothes and turned on the water. “Ah, that feels so nice.” Link sighed as the steaming water fell upon his face. After he was done Link put his green forest robe and went down the hall. As Link went down the hall, quietly so as to not wake anyone, Sam came down in a black and red robe that was slipping off her left shoulder exposing a small bit of her left breast. “Oh, hey handsome, showers are a great relaxing tool.” Sam said letting the robe fall even more. Link was about to reply when he saw half of Sam's left breast. “Uh Sam, not to be rude but your left.. breast is showing.” Link said his face turning nine different shades of red. “Yeah I know, I'm letting the breast and nipple get some fresh air, ooh it hurts a bit, would massage it for me?” Sam asked pulling down the robe so that her left breast was completely exposed. “SAM, make yourself decent!” Link yelled covering his eyes. “Link, I'm proud of the breasts I've been given.” Sam said blowing her left nipple. When Sam blew upon her nipple, she felt a shiver of pleasure course through her body and she let out a soft moan. “Please Link, suck my left tit, I won't tell.” Sam said giving Link the puppy dog pout. Unfortunately for Link, the puppy dog pout was one of his few weaknesses. “Alright, let's do it quick.” Link said lowering himself to the level of Sam's left nipple. Sam smiled and grabbed his long ears, preparing herself. Link put his soft pink lips over the nipple and sucked gently. Sam let out a loud moan. “Thanks a lot Link, see you tomorrow.” Sam said pulling up her robe. Link went back to his room quickly. “What happened Link, you look like Death worn over, no offense.” Jeremy said looking at Link's pale face. “Jeremy, please promise me you won't tell Odd what I'm about to tell you please?” Link asked. Jeremy nodded. Link told Jeremy about how Sam showed Link her entire left breast and how she asked him to suck the nipple and that he did. After Link finished, Jeremy's cheeks felt like they were going to turn to ash. “Whoa mama, I can't believe you sucked on Sam's left nipple, you've got guts.” Jeremy said looking at Link awkwardly. Link nodded and whispered that he wished he was n' t so handsome. The next morning Link woke early to find Jeremy talking with Aelita. “Morning Prince Ladies Man, sleep well?” Jeremy asked smiling at Link. “I actually slept without any nightmares, which if I remember correctly is a new thing for me, considering all the things I've seen.” Link said. “Oh and Link I feel I should tell you that the right side of your hair is sticking straight out.” Jeremy said chuckling. Link looked in Jeremy's glasses. “You got a spare comb Jer?” Link asked. Jeremy reached into his drawer and handed Link a comb. Link thanked him and straightened out the army of tangles. “Now you look sharp and ready to win a womans' heart, which ironically you have already.” Jeremy said smiling. Link gave Jeremy a playful shove. “Hey Link, I was going to ask Jeremy this but maybe you'll have a different answer, what' s it like to love someone?” Aelita asked turning her head to one side like she always did. “Well, to love someone you must be willing to make some compromises, you may feel a strange fluttering feeling in your stomach when you're near someone that you love, that's my opinion on knowing how to feel love.” Link explained. “Wow Link, very deep you could be a philosopher if you wanted.” Jeremy said impressed. Link smiled modestly. “Jeremy's right Link, your responses are very intellectual.” Aelita said smiling sweetly at Link. Link felt his temperature rise as Aelita smiled at him. Jeremy continued his conversation with Aelita while Link grabbed some clothes and got dressed. “So Jer, we have the whole weekend off, my instincts tell me Sissy convinced her father to do that, very nice of her, I have no ideas on what to do.” Link said sitting down on the computer desk. “Mm, I don't what to do either.” Jeremy said stroking his chin in thought. Link and Jeremy sat in their room thinking about what they could do. “Well I do know that my parents are coming for the holidays so I'll be gone tomorrow.” Jeremy said. Link still couldn't figure out what he should do for the day since he didn't have any classes. Just as Link got off the desk, his Imperial March ring tone went off. “Hello, oh Yumi good morning, you have any plans since we don't have school today?” Link asked. “Well actually, I was hoping you could come over and meet my family, my mom thinks you're my boyfriend so I hoped you'd come over so she would quit asking about you.” Yumi said whining slightly. “Well ok, I can never say no to a beautiful woman who needs my help.” Link said. Yumi felt her heart beat faster than normal. “Thanks Link, be over here at 8:15 alright?” Yumi said. “Sure see you soon.” Link said hanging up. Yumi said bye and hung up as well. “Well, looks like your animal magnetism has landed you a date with Yumi, you lucky demon you.” Jeremy said patting Link on his back. Link yanked Jeremy's glasses off and put the on the top of the closet just like last night. “Not helping you this time smart guy.” Link said over his shoulder as he headed down to the cafeteria for breakfast. Link laughed aloud as he heard Jeremy yelling in frustration. Link got a tray filled with toast, eggs, pancakes and bacon. Link gobbled down the food quickly and headed outside to the grounds. Link went down the road that lead to Yumi's house. “Man I don't remember the last time I felt this nervous.” Link said to himself. Link went to Yumi's front door and knocked three times. “Good to see you, my mom has been asking all kinds of questions about you this morning, it's enough to drive me to insanity.” Yumi said letting Link in. “Thank you for inviting me Yumi, I was going to die of boredom today if I didn't find something to do today.” Link said taking his boots off. Yumi smiled at him and led him into the kitchen. “Mom this is Link, Link this is my embarrassing mother.” Yumi said. “Nice to meet you Mrs. Ishiyama.” Link said shaking her hand lightly. “So you're the Link who's such a hit with the ladies at Kadic, I can see why no girl in their right mind would resist you.” Mrs. Ishiyama said smiling broadly. Yumi glared at her mother from behind. “You know Mrs. Ishiyama, you and Yumi look almost the same.” Link said looking from Mrs. Ishiyama to Yumi. “Hey Link you're exactly right, my mom and I do look alike, it's kinda spooky.” Yumi said. Mrs. Ishiyama giggled at Yumi and began to wash the dishes. “Oh let me help Mrs. Ishiyama.” Link offered. “Well thank you Link, you know most men your age wouldn't be this polite and helpful.” Mrs. Ishiyama said smiling at Link. Link grinned sheepishly and rinsed off the dishes. “Link someday you're going to make a girl very happy.” Yumi said sitting down at the table. Link pulled out Yumi's chair for her. “Well Yumi dear, you just might that woman Link makes happy.” Mrs. Ishiyama said smiling at Links' gentleman ways. Yumi gave her mom the death stare. “Hey Yumi-chan, ooh Yumi's got a boyfriend!” Yumi's little brother Hiroki sang at the top of his lungs. Yumi walked up to her pesky baby brother and punched him on the top of the head. “Zip it squirt!” Yumi yelled. “Now Yumi don't hit Hiroki, and Hiroki you shouldn't tease your sister. Mrs. Ishiyama said. “Hiroki can be such a pain in the neck, I don't think he's a gift from above I believe that that little mutant pest Hiroki is a scientific accident.” Yumi said glaring at Hiroki who was making kissing sounds at Yumi and Link. “Well Yumi, I think you're lucky to have a little brother, I wish I did, as a matter of fact I wish I had a family.” Link said sadly. “Link, you don't have a family how awful.” Yumi said hugging Link around his neck. “It's no big deal, well I guess I should tell you why I don't have a family since you and I fight in Lyoko so you deserve to know, from what I've been told my father fought in the King of Hyrules' army and my mother carried me to safety, unfortunately my father died defending my mother and I, I've been told that I was only 2 months old at the time, my mother was very badly wounded and carried me to the Kokiri Forest on horseback, she gave me to the guardian of the forest the Deku Tree, she told the Deku Tree that I was the last pure blooded Hylian and that I was the chosen one, the last thing I remember about that moment was that my mother kissed me on the forehead and then she died.” Link said feeling tears welling up. “Link, it's okay if you want to cry.” Yumi said looking him in the eyes. Link started bawling. “It's okay Link let it all out.” Yumi said holding Link against her left shoulder. Yumi rocked Link back and forth comfortingly. “Thanks Yumi, I feel so much better now thanks to you.” Link said smiling at Yumi. Yumi kissed Link on the top of his head. Mrs. Ishiyama saw Yumi comforting Link and smiled. “Yumi is more like me than I thought she was.” Mrs. Ishiyama said smiling at Yumi. “So Link, there's a good movie coming on soon wanna watch it with me?” Yumi asked. Link nodded smiling at how caring Yumi was. Yumi and Link sat down and watched a movie called Blue Collar Comedy Tour. Yumi and Link couldn't stop laughing. “Well Yumi, you were right that was a very good movie.” Link said eating the last of the popcorn. Yumi smiled at Link as he gobbled down his root beer. “So what else should we do?” Link asked turning his head to one side. Yumi rubbed her chin in thought. “Hey Yumi-chan, oh who's this big sister?” Hiroki asked looking at Link. “Beat it creature from beyond or I'll break thine bones.” Yumi said glaring at her baby brother. “Oh I know who this is, he's Link I've read all about you in Yumi's diary.” Hiroki said happily. “You little twerp you read my diary again, I'll kill you you'd better run you little goblin.” Yumi said chasing Hiroki through the house. Link stared as Yumi pounced on Hiroki and grabbed him in a headlock. “Yumi, let your little brother go.” Mrs. Ishiyama said. Yumi got up brushing herself off. “Mom, that little mutant read my diary again.!” Yumi yelled angrily. “Hiroki, you know better than to invade Yumi's privacy, no television for a week.” Mrs. Ishiyama scolded. Hiroki pouted and headed for his room and stuck his tounge out at Yumi as he closed the door. “That Hiroki can be such a nuisance.” Yumi huffed. “Maybe he's just at a curious point in his life.” Link said thoughtfully. Yumi giggled at that and they went into her room. “Yumi, what's with that weired cat doll in the corner?” Link asked pointing at the strange looking cat doll next to Yumi's bed. “Oh that, my uncle gave it to me thinking it would be funny, in truth it is.” Yumi said patting the doll on the head. Link laughed lightly as did Yumi. “I really like your room Yumi, it's defines you.” Link said looking around the room. Yumi smacked Link on the head playfully. Link jumped at Yumi which turned into a tumble. Yumi eventually pinned Link to the floor by his arms. “Yumi let me go.” Link said squirming fruitlessly. Yumi shook her head laughing. “Not a chance, you may be a Marine but I've been training in martial arts since I was little, Ulrich thinks he can outdo me, however I've been holding back.” Yumi said ruffling Links' hair. Link tried to get out form under Yumi but to no success. Yumi laughed at Link which made him scowl at her. “Link if you want me to get off you, you have to do me a favor.” Yumi said. “Ok Yumi, what must I do?” Link asked. “Well you have to, ah ha got it, the next time we go into Lyoko you have to kiss Aelita on the lips.” Yumi said grinning evilly. “Fine I'll do it but Jeremy won't like it.” Link said. Yumi got off Link and Link got Yumi in a full nelson. “Hey no fair that's cheating!” Yumi yelled trying to get free. “Well the tables have turned Yumi, if you want me to let go then today when we go back to school you have to kiss Odd on the lips in front of everyone.” Link said smiling demon like. “Link oh fine, but you'll pay for this because I'll snap you like a twig.” Yumi said. Link released Yumi who glared at him. “Alright, let's go back to school so I can die once I kiss Odd.” Yumi sighed. Link agreed and they both walked outside and headed back to Kadic. Yumi saw Odd sitting on a bench with his headphones on signing. “HEY ODD YO PURPLE MAN TAKE OFF THOSE HEADPHONES AND QUIT YOUR PATHETIC ATTEMPT AT SIGNING!” Yumi yelled making Odd jump about five feet into the air. “Hey Yumi, hey handsome Link, what's new?” Odd asked. Link nodded at Yumi who groaned. Odd looked at Yumi awkwardly. Yumi glared at Link before she grabbed Odd by his shoulders and kissed him. When Yumi separated form Odd, Odd smiled goofy. “Well it's a good thing I chose to brush my teeth this morning.”Odd said smiling. “Ok Link my end of the bargain has been completed now you know what you have to do.” Yumi said looking at Odd who was still swooning. Link nodded knowing that he still had to kiss Aelita next time they were in Lyoko. “So what's this about a bargain?” Odd asked. Yumi told Odd how Link had gotten her in a full nelson and how Yumi had pinned Link to the floor of her bedroom and that Link had agreed to kiss Aelita since she had released him. “HA HA HA, Yumi you are good.” Odd said laughing. Link smiled at Yumi who put her arm around Links' waist in friendship. Link pulled up the hood of his cloak to keep himself warm. The three of them headed for the old factory to find Jeremy working on a program for Aelita. “Hey Jeremy how's the materialization program coming for Aelita?” Link asked leaning on the chair. “Pretty slow unfortunately.” Jeremy sighed. “Well don't worry Jeremy you'll get it right, just keep at it and never give up and you'll get Aelita out here on Earth and deactivate the super computer and Xana will be a thing of the past.” Link said reassuringly. Jeremy smiled at Link and continued working for the next hour. “Well gentlemen and lady my parents will be coming in a few minuets to pick me up so I'd best be going see you people in a week.” Jeremy said saving his program and closing it. They waved goodbye to Jeremy and they sat in a circle. “Well I have a suggestion on what we could do, lets sit down and tell stories.” Odd suggested. Yumi and Link agreed and Yumi went first. Yumi told a story about how one time her little brother Hirokuhad switched her shampoo with green dye and how she had almost killed him. “Well Yumi there's nothing wrong with green hair, my friend Saria has green hair.” Link said. Yumi smiled at Link. Odd went next and told a story about how he had tried to cook and ended up with his eyebrows singed off. Link and Yumi fell down laughing. “Hey it's not that funny it took weeks to grow my eyebrows back.” Odd said indignantly. “Sure it's that funny Odd, I'd love to see you without eyebrows.” Link said laughing at the mental picture in his head. “Ok Marine this is a direct order, you're next.” Yumi said pointing a finger in his face. Link smiled. “Alright my friends I'll tell you a story, but it is very gruesome so if you've got a weak stomach leave.” Link warned. Yumi and Odd stayed where they were. Link told them a story about when he was on the UAC Reasearch Base on Mars. Link told them about the time when he and the rest of the team went through the sewers on the Mars base. The only member of the team not there was their wheel chair bound technical support. Link had thought he had heard something coming up behind them. “So I spoke into my ear piece and asked our support if he saw anything on his computer, he did a quick check of the Waste Disposal sewers and confirmed that something was headed straight for me, well I saw what it was and it was a monster that I call the Baron.” Link said shuddering at the recount of the huge Baron creatures. “SO what happened next?” Odd asked excitedly. “Well Odd, Reaper pointed behind me and when I turned about the Baron growled at me so I put enough bullets into it that the Baron fell into the nasty smelling water, when then ran, I looked above me and saw a mechanism that crushed trash, and when the Baron got close to the mechanism I pulled a lever activating the mechanism and the Baron was crushed which incidentally sent blood and other things everywhere and some otthe Barons' organs got into my mouth so I leaned over and vomited into the sewer water.” Link said. “Well I guess since you were in a sewer there's no shame in puking in the water, sewer water is gross anyhow.” Odd said. Link smiled. Link, Odd and Yumi went back to school. They went into the gym where people were putting up decorations for the soon to be Christmas dance. “Looks like the dance will be real good.” Link said looking at the many streamers and banners. Odd looked at Yumi wiggling his eyebrows flirtingly. “Okay Odd, why in the heck are you doing that?” Yumi asked slightly annoyed. “Yumi you kissed me, I think you might like me.” Odd said in an annoying tone. Yumi looked at Odd with daggers shooting from her eyes. “Odd that was a deal I had with Link it means nothing!” Yumi yelled in Odd's face. Odd made a whimpering sound in fear of the look in Yumi's eyes. Link felt bad about the little agreement that he and Yumi made. “So Link, do you know who you're taking to the dance tonight?” Odd asked in his usual happy voice. Link thought about that for a second. “You know spike-head nobody has which is a little awkward.” Link said. Yumi laughed at Link's wisecrack at Odd. “Hey my hair isn't that spiky, uh is it?” Odd asked. “Well Odd usually I make fun of Sissy's hair yet your hair is very ugly.” Yumi said starting to laugh. Link leaned over and went into a fit of the giggles. Odd faked be offended and stormed off. “I'll get the purple man.” Link said running after Odd. Link pounced on Odd's back and wrestled him back into the gym. “Don't you worry Odd my boy, we won't tell anybody about your spike hair.” Link said. Yumi smiled at Odd. Odd went back to his room that he and Ulrich shared. “Yumi you don't plan on doing anything mean to Odd do you?” Link asked worried about the devious look on Yumi's face. “Oh no Link I won't hurt the little turd.” Yumi said rubbing her hands together. Link felt very worried as Yumi left the gym following Odd. “What are the results of what Yumi's about to do?” Link asked himself. Odd found that Ulrich left a note on Odd's bed. “Dear Odd, I went to go shopping be back in three hours Ulrich.” Odd said reading the note. Kiwi jumped out of the drawer where Odd kept him. “Hey there Kiwi boy, I bet you're hungry here I'll get you some dinner.” Odd said scrachting Kiwi behind the ears. Odd went into his closet and got out a bowl and some dog food. Odd poured the food into the bowl and Kiwi promptly gobbled the entire bowl up. Odd fell asleep quickly as did Kiwi. Yumi snuck into the room so as not to Odd, and had a bottle of blue hair dye in her hand. Yumi poured the bottle on to Odd's head and left snickering. A few hours later Ulrich opened the door to is dorm room and saw that Odd's hair had turned blue. Ulrich hid his packages and shook Odd lightly waking him up. “Hey Odd love your new hair color it's defines you.” Ulrich said snickering. Odd raised at that and then saw himself in a mirror. “AHHHH NOOO MY BEAUTIFUL BLOND HAIR IS RUINED!!” Odd yelled in shock. Ulrich fell over laughing at Odd. Odd ran out of the room and found Yumi humming to herself. “Yumi why?” Odd asked pointing at his blue hair. “Thought it'd be fun later hair boy.” Yumi said heartily. “Man Yumi is good.” Ulrich said from the doorway. Odd glared at Ulrich and got dressed. “Hello Link, did you know that Odd changed his hair color to blue?” Yumi asked leaning against a drink machine as Link got a root beer from another machine. “You had something to do with it didn't you Yumi?” Link asked taking his soda from the vending machine. “Yes I did guilty as charged.” Yumi said holding out her hands like she was waiting to be handcuffed. “Alright Yumi, though this pains me I'm going to have to execute you, any last requests?” Link asked. “As a matter of fact Link I do have a last request, will you be my date for the Christmas dance?” Yumi asked. Link felt his heart stop in a split second. “Well sure Yumi I guess I could be your date.” Link said shrugging. “Thank you so much Link, you don't know how happy this makes me.”Yumi said kissing Link on his cheek. Link felt his cheeks tinge with pink as Yumi ran off singing in Japanese in joy. Link went back to his room which was deathly quiet since Jeremy wasn't there. Link decided to open a connection to Lyoko. “Hello Aelita can you hear me?” Link asked speaking into the ear piece. “Hi Link, you must be very bored without Jeremy there.” Aelita said smiling. “That would be correct Aelita, boredom kills me.” Link said with an amused tone in his voice. Aelita looked at Link awkwardly. “It's a figure of speech Aelita.” Link explained. “Oh, Link I went on the Internet recently and I wanted to ask you something, what does it mean when you make love to someone?” Aelita asked. Link blushed for a reason he did not understand. “H mm, maybe Ulrich'll know let me call him.” Link said grabbing his mobile phone. Link punched Ulrich's number and Ulrich answered it quickly. “Hey Ulrich it's Link, Aelita asked me a question about Earth and I don't know what to tell her her question is what does it mean when you make love to a person.” Link said narrowing his eyebrows. “Uh well I don't think she needs to know right at the moment.” Ulrich said. “Okay Ulrich, good bye.” Link said hanging up. “Well Aelita I can't tell you at the moment but I promise that I'll tell you some other time.” Link said smiling. “Very well then.” Aelita said closing the connection to Earth. Link felt that someone was outside his door and opened it before they could knock. “Emily hi, what brings you here?” Link asked politely. “Well I was thinking would you be my date for the Christmas dance?” Emily asked sweetly. Link had a bad feeling this was going to happen. “Well Emily I don't mean to break your heart or anything but I'm already going with Yumi.” Link said gently. Emily's face fell greatly. “Oh okay then Link I mean I know what Yumi sees in you, you're handsome, polite, and very compassionate.” Emily said tears running down her face slightly. Link felt his heart bleed at the site of Emily's tears. “Well Emily, I guess I could go with you and Yumi I think Yumi'll understand once I explain the situation.” Link said thinking. “Oh thank you Link you are so sweet, one day you are going to make a great father.” Emily said kissing him on his cheeks repeatedly. Link felt his mind go numb at what he had just done. “Maybe Yumi will understand, I hope.” Link said to himself. At eight o'clock sharp Link was dressed for his date with Emily and Yumi. “I hope Yumi and Emily don't start fighting over me, I've had enough of that back home.” Link said adjusting his tie. Odd came in and whistled. “Whoa Link, ten bucks says that by the end of tonight you get some action with the way you're dressed.” Odd said looking at Link's crisp suit. “Whatever you say Odd.” Link said combing his hair to as neat as he possibly could. Ulrich came in and whistled just like Odd did. “Link you look kinda like James Bond except you have blond hair and pointy ears.” Ulrich said checking himself in Link's mirror. “Thanks you guys I'm very nervous, I've got two dates not just one.” Link said. Ulrich and Odd stared at Link amazed. “Link you just might get double action, I bow to the master.” Odd said kneeling before Link. “May I ask who the two lucky ladies are?” Ulrich asked. “The two women are Yumi and Emily, I feel like I've made a bad mistake I hope that I'm wrong.” Link said sighing at his possible goof up. “Yeesh I think that those two will kill each other over you.” Odd said shaking his head. Ulrich glared at Link with jealousy in his eyes. Link, Odd and Ulrich walked down to the gym their hearts thumping against their chests. Link saw Emily dressed in a pink glittering dress and she wasn't wearing her glasses. “Link my goodness you look so very handsome.” Emily said admiring Link's suit and tie. “Thank you Emily your dress suits you well.” Link said looking at Emily's dress. Emily blushed bashfully and complimented Odd and Ulrich on their clothes. Link saw Yumi inside the gym and hoped for the best. “Hello Yumi wow your dress is very nice.” Link said looking at Yumi's dress. Yumi wore a jet black kimono with a red dragon going around the chest and waist. “Link what are you doing here with Emily?” Yumi asked annoyed. “Well Yumi, when I told her I was going with you she started crying and I couldn't help but say I'd go with the two of you please I only did it because I thought it to be the right thing to do.” Link pleaded. “Well alright Emily and I can be your dates I guess you're just to nice to let a girl cry in front of you.” Yumi said smiling at Link. Link explained to Emily that she and Yumi were his dates and surprisingly enough Emily agreed. “Well Yumi would you dance with me first?” Link asked. “Sure Link dear, you may have this dance but I must warn you I have six left feet.” Yumi said leading Link on to the dance floor. Link put one arm on Yumi's waist and grabbed her hand with his free hand. Yumi put her free arm around his neck and placed her other hand over his chest. “Link I can feel your heart beating it's a very nice sound.” Yumi said as Link led her around to a slow romantic song. Link smiled sweetly at Yumi and the song ended. “Yumi you are a very gifted dancer Yumi.” Link said kissing Yumi on her cheek. Yumi blushed darkly. “Emily may I have this dance?” Link asked bowing politely. “Of course you may sir.” Emily said giggling. Link held Emily the same way he did Yumi. Emily put both hands around Link's waist. At first a slow song began to play but then it turned into a fast beat. Link flipped Emily over his back and spun her around six times very fast. After the song ended Emily was breathless. “Whoa Link, you're a very good dancer it's been some time since I've danced with someone as good as you.” Emily said drinking some punch Link had given her. Link smiled modestly. “Hey Link, where did you learn to dance like that?” Yumi asked. “Well I've often had nights without anything to do so I'd teach myself to dance.” Link said simply. Yumi and Emily looked at each other impressed. Link excused himself and got four cups of punch to calm his nerves. “So Link I saw you dancing your life away with Yumi and Emily you my friend are very skilled with the ladies.” Odd said getting himself some punch. “You hush Odd, I'm hoping the two dates of mine don't eat each other alive, I've seen enough of that for one lifetime.” Link said wiping his chin with a napkin. Odd stared at Link as he went back to dance with Emily and Yumi. “What did he mean by that I wonder?” Odd asked himself. As the night wore on Link for some reason felt that having two dates was a dumb idea. After he danced with Yumi again he noticed that Emily was looking at her with great hatred. “I hate being right all the blasted time.” Link said to himself angrily. “Listen Emily, I am Yumi's date not yours, I only said yes because I'm a nice person, but now you're getting upset with Yumi for dancing with me, so either you shape up your spoiled brat attitude or GET AWAY FROM ME!” Link yelled. Emily walked towards Link and slapped him. “You just can't accept the fact that I'm much prettier than Yumi you parent less worm.” Emily said coldly. Link wiped a speck of blood off his chin where she had smacked him and laughed. “You are a ungrateful sinful witch, I did your sorry butt a favor and you talk bad about Yumi and then slap me for defending her, ha well four-eyes I don't normally do this but in your pitiful case I'll make an exception.” Link said standing right in front of her. Link knocked Emily's legs out from under her knocking her flat on her back. “That was for the insult about my dead parents, and this one is for that crack about Yumi!” Link hollered. Link slapped her with all his might eight times and left. Yumi stood stunned. She had never seen Link act like that before and she kinda liked it. “Well Link sure told Emily.” Odd said to Ulrich. Ulrich nodded and they both followed Link back to his room. “Hey Link, Emily had no right to say what she said you had every right to smack her like that.” Ulrich said reassuringly. “Thanks Ulrich, I was right about it being a bad move to be both of their dates, I had hoped that'd I'd be wrong but I wasn't.” Link said laughing at the irony of the events he had hoped for. Odd opened the door and saw Yumi standing there. “Hey Yumi, it was very wrong of me to be Emily's date as well please forgive me.” Link begged. “Sure I do Link, you were just trying to do what you judged to be right, no one can be mad at you for that.” Yumi said tenderly. Ulrich had apparently made up his mind about something. “Yumi I have come to a decision, I no longer have a crush on you like I use to, I see clearly now that Link is very good for you I just hope we can still be friends.” Ulrich said. “Well of course we can Ulrich, you know usually you're not like this I guess it's in the season of giving that makes you say that.” Yumi said hugging Ulrich. “Yeah Ulrich buddy, this is kinda like giving the bride away at a wedding.” Odd said giggling. Ulrich felt like whacking Odd upside the head but thought better of it. Link smiled at Yumi. “Link what does that smile mean?” Yumi asked raising an eyebrow. “Oh nothing at all.” Link said grinning wickedly. That night Link went to a late night store and bought Yumi a very expensive teddy bear. The teddy bear was in a straight jacket and it had it's tounge hanging out and across the jacket it said nuts for you. The bear also had a button on the back that when pressed, the bear would laugh maniacally. Link went to Yumi's house and knocked quietly. “Hello Link is that for my Yumi?” Mrs. Ishiyama asked. Link nodded. “May I put it in her room please it's her Christmas gift?” Link asked shyly. Mrs. Ishiyama nodded and Link quietly hid the bear under Yumi's pillow. Link then went back to his room through a window and went to sleep. Link heard Jeremy's alarm clock go off. “Stupid genius.” Link grumbled. Link found presents leading form the foot of his bed to the hall outside. “Whoa I really should have seen this one coming” Link said grinning to himself. Odd walked down the hall still half asleep, to tell Link Merry Christmas when he bumped into one of Link's gifts. “What the duce?” Odd said looking at the stream of gifts. “Hey Odd check it out these gifts are all from the girls that like me!” Link shouted in glee. Odd stood mouth agape as Link opened his first gift which was from Sam. “Nice ring.” Link said trying on the emerald ring Sam had given him. Ulrich stood next to Odd with the same stupefied stare. “He is a universal wonder.” Ulrich said. Odd felt drool coming out as Link held up a photo of Niome in a two piece bathing suit. “You lucky devil you.” Odd said wiping the slobber from his chin. Link smiled at Ulrich's look of shock. Back in Yumi's room, Yumi woke up and felt something strange under her pillow. “Oh my GOD!” Yumi said in surprise. Yumi pressed the button on the bear and the bear laughed like someone that belonged in the nut house. “What a cool present and it's from Link he knows me all to well.” Yumi said hugging her new teddy. “What was that laugh?” Mr. Ishiyama asked coming into Yumi's room. “ Daddy look at what Link gave me.” Yumi said making the bear laugh insanely. “Very nice dear.” Mr. Ishiyama said smiling. Hiroki came in and tried to grab the new toy, but Yumi whacked him across the room with it. “I gotta call Link.” Yumi said dialing Link's cell phone number. Link picked up his phone and heard a twisted laugh on the other end. “Link I love this present.” Yumi said. “I knew you would Yumi, get this from the foot of my bed to out in the hall are presents for me it's so cool!” Link yelled dancing about. Yumi made an impresses noise at that. For the first time in Link's life things were going good. End Chapter 2
