"Holy shit..."
Jet stared out at the cold black hulk that had once enclosed a whole city. As they closed in, Jet could see a few bodies hanging aimlessly in space. Small trinkets floated around, bumping into one another. Jet saw a dead child, barely four, skin pale in the cold of space. He averted his eyes.
Faye walked into the room and stopped cold as a young man floated past the Bebop. She stared out the window, unable to pull away from the scene.
Jet stood slowly and started walking towards the door. He stopped once he passed Faye.
"Come on," he said. Faye started as the words broke her out of her reverie.
"Where?" she asked.
"We're going to look for survivors."

Hammerhead floated through the streets of the colony. The ships lights played off of floating objects; the artificial gravity having ceased along with all of the other systems. The levitating flower pots, pieces of paper, and dead bodies, all added to the impression of a ghost city.
Jet scanned for local communications, but found only the Bebop and Faye's ship, Red Tail. He broadcast messages on the emergency channels, but there were no responces. Nothing came from the city but a great, dead, silence.
"It's hopeless," Jet radioed to Faye, "There's nothing here. Let's head back to the ship."
