Chapter One:
Three months…
It has been three months since that day. A lot has happened in three months. We rejoined Ed and Ein. Jet got a wife who is two months pregnant now. And me-I've shrunk into a depression breakable by the one person who isn't here.
I stopped going to the race track ya know. I've been focusing on bounty hunting. Hell, I've been doing enough bounty hunting for the both of us. It's been easy, but not the same without you. I caught some hacker punk for 70 million Woolongs. We actually have real food now.
Everyone else had moved on. Jet still cries sometimes. Even Ed and Ein seem to be less…cheerful. But it didn't hit anyone as hard as it hit me. When you left, I broke down crying. Tried to kill myself. But I know you're not dead. I know. You wouldn't die. If you were shot 10 times, you still wouldn't die.
But who knows? Maybe you are dead. I'm still living in the past. I blame myself for what happened. I could have stopped you. But a girl can still dream right?
"Hey Faye. You up to another job?" Jet called to her.
Faye rolled over on the couch to look at him. "Yeah, sure. Why not?"
"Good. There's some hacker named Terence Hernandez. The price is-WHOA! 150 million woolongs! You gotta get this guy Faye!" Jet exclaimed.
"Yeah, yeah. Leave it to me," Fays said, waving her hand and retreating.
Somewhere out in space:
Faye landed a little ways off from an alleyway where she had been following Terence. He had just disappeared in this alleyway. She looked around and didn't see anyone. She walked deeper into the alleyway. She shifted her gun to her left hand. Finally she came to the end about 50 feet away from the entrance. She turned around and started to walk back when a hand closed over her mouth and her gun was grabbed from her. "You've been following me," said a husky voice in her ear. "Such a pretty girl as you shouldn't be walking alone in an unfamiliar alleyway. Who knows what might happen?" he said, licking her ear.
He quickly spun her around and pinned against the wall. He pinned her hands above her head and pressed his lips onto hers. When she didn't open her mouth, he used his free hand to force open her mouth and slip his tongue inside. He then used his still free hand to rip open her shirt. He slipped off the suspenders that held up her shorts and undid his own pants, never once breaking the kiss. `Oh Gods! I don't want to lose my virginity by being raped!' Faye thought frantically, tears pouring out of her eyes. He rubbed his hardened member against her heat, which made her cry even harder. Then he stopped kissing her for lack of air; and even though she too was out of breath, she took this moment to cry out for help. "HELP!" `Spike! I need you!' she mentally screamed. Terence punched her in the stomach to stop anymore yelling.
"Now, now, now. We wouldn't want anyone to interrupt us now would we?" he said, and began kissing her again. "Now," he said, and just as he was about to thrust into her, a fist collided with his face. The figure quickly handcuffed Terence and looked at Faye. The last conscious moments she had, she thought `That face…Those eyes…Is it really you?' Then blackness consumed her.
"Oh shit! Faye! Damn woman!" the figure said. "Do I ALWAYS gotta look out for you?" The figure took off his jacket and wrapped it around Faye. He picked her up bridal style and carried her back to his place.

When Faye woke, she had one hell of a headache. She looked around her, and her brain finally registered these things. She was in a nice warm bed, she was wearing boxers, and had on an overly large yellow shirt. `Where the hell am I?' she thought. She slipped out of bed and went into the hallway. She wandered around till she came into the kitchen. There was a guy there, smoking a cigarette. When she came in, he looked up and Faye's breath caught in her throat. She froze on the spot. "Spike?..." she whispered.
