Hunt
Meanwhile, Sakura began her walk down a maze of white walls. Spike
gave her a mission. However, it wasn't in his voice. This didn't
worry her. Something deep inside of her told her to trust him. The
tenshi-chi didn't say a word as she vanished into thin air.
Now, she was walking down this maze. The silence made her stomach
turn. Still, Sakura would not stop moving. She had to find her
little girl. Miya was being used as bait for her husband's
reincarnation. Sakura resolved her nerve and picked up the
pace.
“Miya, hang on baby, I'm coming,” she said to herself. Her walking
turned into a march.
Meanwhile, something had their eyes on her back. Sakura wasn't the
only one in this maze of a warehouse. Well, there are two things
with her in the maze. But one thing at a time here. First, there
was the first presence.
It didn't have an actual body. More like a dense black mass. It
used the light to lock in on its target. She has more than enough
to fill the world. Sakura couldn't see it if she tried.
Sakura shivered as she held her hand to her chest. How was she
supposed to find her daughter in here? Earlier, she felt a trace of
her daughter's soul in this place. That was all that she had to
work with. Now, that trace was getting weaker. Sakura fought her
mind to try and not to fear the worst.
That's when she heard something. Sakura turned around.
“Hello?” she asked. The lack of response made things worse. Her
eyes shifted from left to right. Sakura puffed up her cheeks. She
didn't have time for this. Miya could be scared and crying right
now. The mother tightened up and started walking so fast that she
was about to run.
It laughed to itself. How was this so easy? It almost felt bad for
doing this. Almost. Maybe they should make their move now.
Hm? What is that?
It turned to see what shades of a bright light. Was it afraid of
the lights coming toward it? No. Instead, it broke into a huge
smile on its non-existent face. Well now, things were about to get
more interesting on this hunt.
Sakura was just about to turn another corner when a strong
invisible hand grabbed her by the shoulder. The tenshi-chi froze
with her breath caught in her throat. Over a million thoughts were
racing in her head as she started to try and look behind her.
“Don't turn around,” a voice hissed in her ear. Sakura's eyes
darted straight forward. Her spine felt stiff before her brain
could connect the dots.
Wait…
“I know who you are!” she shouted. Sakura broke away from the hand
and turned around.
