Vicious opened the front door and glared at the Taliban. He moved out of the doorway to allow him entrance.

"You never gave me a name," he said and the Taliban looked at him.

"You never asked for one," he replied.

"I'm extremely close to killing you."

"The name is Lovgin Casrall. You will use my Regal name of Pheonix."

"You're being mighty pushy for someone in my employment. I don't like that."

"Did you really have an alternative to the decision you made? If you're upset that I interrupted your mating game, get over it."

Vicious pushed the tip of his sword into Pheonix's neck. Pheonix's eyes grew wide as he felt blood trickle down his pale skin.

"That mouth is exactly what killed your predecessor."

"I was merely stating the truth. We know what our females smell like. Her scent is on your skin."

Vicious sheathed his sword and turned away from Pheonix.

"You have a good nose but tell me, how are you immune to her telepathic abilities?"

"I'm not going to tell you that."

Vicious' gaze darkened in anger. He knew there was nothing he could do to force Pheonix into divulging that secret and it angered him. He didn't like the idea of someone being immune to her telepathic probes living near him. If it wasn't for his qualifications, Vicious would have never gone and seen him.

"Go on back. My ears are just as keen as my nose. She seems to be missing a little gratification."

"Very well then, but don't forget about my pet. If you try anything he'll be upon you in seconds."

"What might I accomplish by doing something?"

Vicious said nothing as he turned and walked out of the room. He had mixed feelings about his new hire. It was true that he couldn't trust Pheonix but that was true of everyone. He unbuttoned his shirt as he made the last few steps towards his room. He knew that his thoughts had already reached her and he expected her to be in the mood when he reached his room.

"You are too demanding," she said as he entered the room.

"You're also worried about my ability. Perhaps it's because I'm not a full Taliban."

"I don't know what to make of him," Vicious replied as he embraced her. She gently kissed his chest as she waited for him to continue.
"I've also been getting some reports about Spiegel and his crew. They've been taking out some of my operatives and I have no idea who's putting the bounty on them. Rei..."

"I'm listening. Keep talking," she said as she pushed down his pants zipper.

"There's no point. I don't need words for this," he said as he picked her up. He ran a hand over her inner thighs and moved inward, gently stroking her skin. She writhed in his arms and he grinned. He carried over to the bed then stopped. He kissed her neck as she tried to contain her emotions.

"You're getting hot down there. I'll be able to finish you off soon," Vicious said as he kissed her mouth.

"How do you really feel about me? I can't sense that," Rei said and he looked at her.

"That is something I cannot express."
