Faye lay sleeping in a prison cell, one arm and foot chained to the bed. Pheonix watched her from the other side of the cell, then poised his claws when he heard footsteps behind him.
"I am quite pleased with what you've done to her," Vicious said.
"I could have made it a lot more elaborate if I had known I'd be pleasing you. I would have used antique handcuffs," Pheonix said.
"How badly did you damage her? We may be able to use her to work out a bargain with Spiegal."
"If it falls through, I'll gladly keep her her as my slave."
"It looks like you'd enjoy that. At least that what I gather from the performance on my security system."
"I hope I didn't detract from anything you were doing."
"Not at all. Now I know why she gets a bit rough with me. You males are brutal."
"Only to human standards. We're mild in comparison to some of the other species in the universe."
"Let's hope you took away more than her chasity."
"That was gone long before I lay with her."
Vicious nodded his head in agreement then narrowed his eyes as he began thinking.
"As soon as she wakes up. I want to know what Spike is up to and who's paying him."
"I suppose you want me to ask the questions."
"Get creative. From what I know about the regal organization, you have some very nice means of...interrogation."
"Yeah well we all got creative in that department. He could have done the same thing if you had given him the chance."
Vicious ignored his statement as he watched Faye's body move slightly. He idly tapped his sword then turned around.
"I'll be watching your interrogation so make it good."
"Oh don't worry. I always make my interrogation good, no matter who I work for."
Vicious walked out of the room and back to the room Rei lay sleeping in. He opened the door and glanced at her as the door closed and locked behin him. She was thoroughly exhausted, he noted as he sat at his desk and uncorked a fresh bottle of wine. He poured it into a fluted glass then picked it up as he watched the screens on the monitering system. His bird landed on the back of his chair from its unseen perch. He picked up a handful of small cubes and held them up to the bird. The bird hungrily ate its food as Vicious waited for Faye to become conscious.

"I thought you said you didn't want to go after her," Jett said as spike sat in the car gazing at Vicious' house.
"This place is even more secure than his other place," Spike said.
"That makes sense, considering his other living space burned down."
"It exploaded. I wasn't going to go after her but that girl is there as well. You want the five million, don't you?"
"We could certainly use it. The Bebop is in grave need of repairs. We didn't gain anything from that last job except some new dents and malfunctions. You weren't exactly careful on that last job, Spike."
"Yeah I know. I did what I could to avoid those damages."
"You're not exactly Mr. Safety, Spike."
"Yeah, yeah, yeah. Look, that doesn't matter right now. Are you in or aren't you?"
"I'm in. You're going to need some backup in this place. I'm not going to leave you out on a limb on this one."
"All right. So how are we going to do it?"
"Let's just get an idea of how his place is set up. I don't want to go in without knowing what I'm up against."
"We've got to be discreet. You know he's got to have one hell of a security system. Plus he's got that bodyguard and if Faye wasn't able to do anything, we're up against one hell of a challenge."

Fa ye opened her eyes and moaned.
"What the hell happened? Where am I?" she asked and tried to sit up. Her mind flashed back to what happened earlier and shook her head.
"What was I thinking? Oh, I feel terrible."
"You're awake," Pheonix said and Faye glanced at him.
"What the hell did you do to me?" she asked.
"You agreed to it, don't try to put this all on me. But, I'm glad you're awake. I have some questions for you."
"Tough. I'm not going to answer them."
"Really? We'll see about that."
"Will you just let me go or am I going to feed your sick fantasies again?"
"It depends on how cooperative you are. If you refuse to answer my quesions, I just might have to take advantage of you again."
"Just unchain me."
"I don't bargain with my captives. Whatever happens to you, you will bring upon youself depending on how cooperative you are."
"I am quite pleased with what you've done to her," Vicious said.
