*rubs hands together in hope of getting enough friction that will cause a fire that will burn down the computer. O,o* Damn!
A couple of author's notes: 1) Faye is in Ninth grade. 2.) I got the idea of Electra's name from the CB movie (knocking on heavens door) but please don't think that my Electra is based on the Electra in the movie, cause she isn't 3) This is SxF.

Chapter 1: Yellow, Monday Math, and a lost Sketch book.
I watched the green lawns and cream houses fly by as my CD player wailed another song into my head. I sighed for the umpteenth time and heard my mother tsk through my music. Staind always seemed to sooth my soul.
We already passed the cheery sign saying in a sort of "You are now in hell" way, "You are now in Thelo." Great, new school, I couldn't wait. Actually I would rather be asked to say the alphabet backwards (something that is impossible for me to do).
Don't get me wrong, I'm not the kind of person that likes to stay in one place. My mom says its in my blood, my ancestors were gypsies. I like the constant change of places, the guarantee of great adventures, the new people. It's all so exciting.
. I ripped off my earphones and smiled when I heard the guitar banging on the speakers of my mom's car. After 14 years, you'd think we would have different tastes of music, but nope they are exactly the same. Rock with a dash of blues and some other stuff.
My mom and I are close. We're the only family we've got. My mom was in college when she got pregnant from her boyfriend and refused to get an abortion. Her boyfriend abandoned her, her family disowned her, and I was born. She was only 20.
The next few years were kind of rough as my mom continued college, took care of me, and worked a couple of jobs. I'm surprised she didn't put me up for adoption, or drop out of high school, but she would always say that it was because she wanted me to be happy. Her friends were nice enough to help her with me. Especially Aunt Silvia, a really nice owner of a restaurant my ma used to work at.
So my mom became a chef, and was awesome at it too. We moved around plenty, until my ma got sick of it, put her foot down and decided to open her own restaurant in a decent sized town called Thelo.
So now that you got the jist I'll tell you all a little about me. I'm Faye Valentine, 14 years old, with purple hair (not dyed thank you) and green eyes. I'm loud, stubborn, and sometimes my pride can get in the way of things.
Thelo looks like a pretty cool place, we stopped by my ma's soon-to-be restaurant. It used to be a general store, but it's been shut down for pretty much forty years.
UNTIL NOW!
My mom and I stopped in front of our new house. The door is polished wood, the house is stucco. It's one floor, but it's only my mom and I so everything should be okay.
My room's my favorite color. Yellow.

Please don't ring, just give me two more seconds, pleassssseee...
SAFE!!! I got my schedule and reached homeroom just in time before the bell shrilled. Thank goodness I wore my lucky yellow sneakers.
I paused for a second to find a seat and then found one located perfectly near the window. Now for my schedule....
No.
Oh no please no.
I HAVE MATH FIRST PERIOD MONDAY MORNING?!
I gaped at my schedule, trying to figure out who might do this do this horrible act to me. Maybe my last principle (Who for no reason at all hated me.) called my current principle and plotted together to make my life a living hell. What the hell did I ever do to him?!
"Ah, so you have math first period also?"
I turned around to see a girl with olive skin and dark brown hair. I sighed and nodded, "Yeah, I do."
She pointed to her schedule, which also had the math class of doom, and said, "Same. Oh well, what can you do? I'm Electra. I haven't seen you around before, what's your name?"
Suddenly the teacher called out my name in attendance, "Faye Valentine?"
I turned around, "Here!"
Electra smiled, "Nice to meet you, Faye. Come on, I'll give you a small tour on the way to math."
******
Okay, so math wasn't that bad. In fact with the constant jokes cracked by Electra, it was even tolerable.
After Math, Electra and I had study hall, where we escaped to the library to hang out.
Turns out that Electra is a pretty nice girl. She has 2 sisters, who are in college, and an older brother, who is a junior. She knows her way around the school, which she proved when she gave me the tour. She also loves Phish Food, something that we both have an obsession with. That and shopping for jeans.
Next I had English, and then computer. I wish computer was just about playing video games because that would be the best class ever! I love video games and sometimes during the weekends, when I'm in need of some cash, I'll go play against people for money. When I get a crowd around me, bets start going, and I get my money from that too. I love it.
Now see here's the funny thing, I may be amazing at video games, but when it comes to making charts and such on computers, I'm at a loss. It's a total mystery to me.
After computer was lunch, which I skipped to go to the library and checked out some books I wanted to read. I found a little corner in the library that had a chair and small desk with a bunch of books on it, then snuggled in a corner. Slipping on my headphones, I let the book drift me away.
After about 10 minutes, I became bored and decided to look at the books that were piled on the desk along with random pieces of paper. Let's see... History text book, Math binder, a... sketchbook?! Now Faye Valentine, this is something personal, which means it would be rude to look at the pictures in the sketchbook. So, you are only going to see if there is a name inside and maybe a telephone number, and then close the sketchbook.
My heart stopped when I opened to the first page.
It was so...beautiful. My fingers moved to trace the outlines, but I just couldn't. I didn't want to ruin the magic.
It was a picture of a mother holding a child, her hair falling down in gentle waves, protecting the cradled child.
I turned the page to find a man looking out onto a blurred city and a crystal clear sky. He looked towards the sky but for some reason he was leaning towards the blurred city. Suddenly my heart chilled, but I ignored it.
Page after page, drawing after drawing, they were breath-taking. I was in awe and began to think "Who could draw this well?" Little did I know that I had just spoken my thoughts to the artist himself.
"Me."
My body jerked to be strait as a board and my heart began to pound. Blood rushed to my face as I slowly turned to me a pair of chocolate brown eyes. The artist's eyes...
Damnit, Faye, you shouldn't have opened the sketchbook. Idiot.

Okay that's it for the first Chapter, hope everyone liked it, and I tried to get Faye sort of in character. Please R&R! Till next time!
