Chapter 33

“Damnit these wings make her twice as heavy!” Renji groaned carrying J'dee through the balcony to avoid any of the neighbours in the hallway from seeing the wings.

Zack landed on the balcony behind Renji and he watched as the Shinigami carried the unconscious female to her room.

Zack stopped and picked up a white feather from a line of them that trailed the ground to her bedroom. He looked up seeing Renji emerge from her room.

Zack moved to the doorway and he looked inside, Renji had dumped J'dee on the bed on her stomach and left her lying there like some kind of fallen angel.

Zack felt Reno prod him and looked at the Turk before he motioned at his throat angrily.

“Hey I can't do anything that's her territory…” Zack stopped for a moment and looked at Belle on the balcony talking to Hisagi. He knew Air and Water could cancel each other out but he didn't know if Belle and J'dee had that ability yet. He wasn't about to voice it to Reno either, Belle looked awful cosy with Hisagi and he smiled he wouldn't send Reno to interrupt.

“I'll talk to her when she wakes up Reno until then let her rest okay; we're just a little bitter tonight.”

Reno let out an annoyed breath before stalking off.

Zack lent on the doorway to J'dee's room. He was glad for Hakkai's healing on his arms. Air had nearly caused his decomposition to start again. But right now it was J'dee he was worried about. Even so, she was lying there on her bed, the wings hanging over the width of the double bed.

Walking into the room Zack closed the door, he lent against it for a couple of moments just letting her sleep. Finally he moved up to where she rested and he crouched down brushing some hair from her face.

`An angel?'

`No I'm Aerith…'

The recollection was still strong. “I think you're a bit of both actually.” He confessed out loud to the memory that lingered.

Zack's hand moved to her wing, he heard her let out a soft sigh, her face burying into the pillow. Zack looked round he smiled spotting the Cloud soft toy and slipped it under her arm. He stopped seeing the blush on her face and his hand curiously moved to touch her wing. His fingers shifted through the feathers. Ever since seeing Angeal's wings he'd wanted his own, but it seemed like Aerith's soul was more privy to them than he was.

Zack heard the soft sigh again.

“You like that?” He whispered with a small smile. “Angeal I never got to touch his.” Zack's hand moved over the top of the wing.

“I want to understand this incarnation of you Aerith. I know she's not you, but she is, it's like she's taken a little bit of everyone who meant the world to you last time and just made this person in the hopes to be stronger this time round.”

Zack's hand trailed to her naked back drawing a line between the wings and down her spine. She shivered slightly in her unconsciousness and he pulled his hand back.

“Zack…” She murmured and he watched her curl into the plushie more. “Stay.”

“I'm right here. Not going away this time I promise. Once again I asked Cloud something that was too much.”

Zack slipped into the bed under the wing, his arm moving round her waist and she instinctively curled into his warmth, her face burying into his chest with a sigh.

She seemed so delicate and fragile; much like when he first met her wearing Aerith's clothes from her timeline with Cloud.

Zack's hand pushed some of her hair from her face.

J'dee woke when she felt her body was over heating, she let her eyes flicker open confused, didn't she land on the forest floor? But she knew her room and she saw the clothed chest underneath her face and the Cloud plushie under her arm. Pushing herself up slowly she realized there were arms round her waist. Blinking she looked down at Zack, she felt the blush on her face, before Mako blue eyes opened looking up at her.

His smile warmed her through.

“How you feeling?” Zack asked softy releasing his hold. J'dee was saddened by the release of his touch and sat back her face heating up as she realized how comfortable she was getting the feeling of have a warm body in her bed. But she knew her face was heating up not cause of the body but who it belonged to.

“Sore.” She mumbled. The weight of the wings nearly pulled her back and she let out a meep as she felt them nearly pull her back.

Zack caught her helping her sit up, her arms instinctively moved round his neck for balance. He pulled her up to settle over his lap. She blushed again, his face so close.

“You had your wings weighing you down as you slept can't say I blame you for being sore. Do you have any strength to retract them?”

J'dee shook her head. She knew the only strength she had left she was using to hold onto Zack to keep herself up.

“Okay. I don't mind holding you up then.”

Zack's hand moved to her face and behind her neck touching her softly. His fingers moved through her hair.

“Anyone tell you, you look like an angel?”

“Plenty of times, you know that. In this life time and the last one.” She mumbled embarrassed in reply.

“They were right you know.” His smile seemed to warm her through and she felt fingers move through her wings softly.

She let out a soft gasp before she felt his mouth touch her on the neck.

The fingers skilfully worked through the feathers and the mouth moved up her neck to behind her ear.

“You can take some of my strength to retract them if they're uncomfortable.”

The tingle that shot through her body from the sensation of the soft strokes through her wings which made her back arch as she pressed into him, her face heating up.

Zack saw the flush on her face and she whimpered. He watched lips part as she gasped. He had kissed her before but that was before he went chasing after the ghost of Angeal.

He watched the feathers drift down from around them he knew the truth now.

“They were your feathers the whole time. I wish I had known I would have stayed with you.” His mouth moved over hers.

Her lips parted she let him slide his tongue into her mouth.

He never got round to kissing Aerith like this last time, he never got far with her at all, but she seemed to innocent at the time, this time she held some of that innocent, with all his flirtatious attitude mixed in with that sweet country girl naivety.

Zack felt his own moan, he wanted more, he wanted to know she cared for him, like she did Cloud, he was jealous of his blonde friend, but he wouldn't tell her that.

“I want to spend more time with you.” She whispered against his lips.

Zack pulled back for the moment looking at her. He saw the brown eyes flash a bright green, vivid green eyes innocently looking at him.

“I do to.”

She smiled. “Zack…” She touched the side of his face. “If you want or need anything don't hesitate to ask me, this world is different. Assertiveness although annoying at the wrong times never hurts.”

Zack blinked, he could feel her breasts pressed up against his chest.

“What do you want?” She asked.

His mouth opened he could feel his own blush. “You…”

She smiled slightly blushing with a nod. He watched her reach behind her neck and untied the sleeves of her ripped shirt.

“I'm not to sure how this will work with my wings.” She pulled the shirt down before ripping it down the hemline and pulling it off.

Zack felt several thoughts flicker through his head to which he mentally blamed Reno instantly. His hand trailed up her stomach pausing just under the strapless bra, he looked at it before at her.

“I can't wear normal ones since these things.” J'dee flexed her wings. “Just in case ya know the wings catch.”

Zack's hand moved up the centre before he felt the clasp and looked up at her. “Are you sure about-?”

Her hand found his mouth and he saw a familiar pissed off Aerith look and he couldn't help but smile under the hand.

“Don't you dare start! I hate shy guy routines. It drives me up the wall.” She let his mouth go. “The last shy guy kept asking and asking well I'm half naked as if I'm going to say no denied.” She huffed frustrated.

Zack flicked at the clasp. “Okay okay… just thought I'd double check.” He chuckled. “Impatient aren't you?”

She let out a breath. “Remember I'm not Aerith.” She looked to the side.

Zack nodded for a moment. “Cloud called out Aerith's name when you were together didn't he?” His hand slipped to her jeans unbuttoning the top.

“Yeah.” Her hips lifted up off his lap, her hands moving to his shoulders for balance.

Zack's hand slipped under the denim. Fingers finding the soft folds of her sex and slipping a finger in, he heard her breath catch and the wings seemed to expand suddenly sending a small gust of wind round the room.

Zack looked up seeing the white feathers floating to the ground and on the bed around them.

`You sure about the angel thing?' He thought to himself, as her mouth moved over his.

Reno stretched glancing back to J'dee's door.

Huffing he turned round taking the controller for the Playstation3 and continued playing the old PS1 Final Fantasy 8 game.

“Must suck not being able too make your usual racket.” Grimmjow smirked.

Reno just shot him a glare without the use of his voice he had no comebacks and no voice to tease the Espada that he hadn't needed his voice to at least see Belle naked more than once, even if it was as vapour. It was a good comeback, in his head, shame he couldn't use it verbally.

J'dee was holding onto Zack's shoulders as her hips lifted up of his lap, as the last of her clothes hit the ground. Zack's hands on her hips and she felt herself slowly being guided down back to his lap. Her hand covered is mouth. “Don't make me mute you too.” She whispered, her mouth moving up the side of his neck slowly. “Cause I'd like to hear you later after Reno's gone to bed.”

“If he does, I doubt he sleeps when he knows someone is getting laid.” Zack mumbled teasingly under her hand.

“Oh for fucks sake yo how hard can it be to get that combo idiot!” Reno shouted at the screen before he paused the game. Only a few moments ago he'd switched to J'dee's Final Fantasy X game, and he was in the middle of trying to perform the Jecht shot. His secret revenge saving over the fifteen odd hours she had put into the game. Along with `borrowing' a box of the condoms from the reincarnation of the not so goody good flower girl's `naughty' drawer this time round.

Grinning Reno stood up. “Well now this is interesting yo.” He looked round seeing Belle on the balcony talking with Hisagi again. Slipping up to J'dee's door he pressed his ear against it. “I hear sex.” He opened the door quietly slipping inside.

J'dee took her hand from his mouth touching the side of his scarred face leaning down capturing his mouth as her hips began to move against his rocking slowly teasing him.

“You get me knocked up and so help me God I'll make your life a living hell.” She jabbed him in the chest before looking round. “Shit where did I put…”

Zack heard a packet being shaken. He glanced over J'dee's wings and stopped seeing Reno leaning against the door holding the packet.

“Looking for this yo? Even I'm not that forgetful.”

Zack saw J'dee cringe. “Damnit what were you doing in my drawer?”

“You got a lot of interesting finds in there. Besides it was revenge for muting me yo… but I might be interested in a compromise.” Reno grinned.

J'dee looked over her shoulder covering her chest. “What?”

“A free viewing yo, live porn is always good.”

“RENO!” J'dee threw the Cloud Plushie at him.

Reno caught the plushie grinning, he held up his cellphone and snapped a photo.

“Damnit Reno you really need to find your entertainment elsewhere.” Zack sighed, then saw Reno's thumb flick over the keys before he heard the beep sound and Reno flicked the phone shut.

“What…” J'dee blushed. “He didn't just…”

“Officially let Tseng know of your current status?” Reno beamed.

“Reno-” Zack began in a warning tone.

“No I'm not that mean yo, but I've got a new wallpaper for my computer that's for sure. Sent directly to my e-mail.”

“Reno!”

Zack saw Belle before J'dee could jump up, and Reno had the back of his head clipped and Belle was dragging him out of J'dee's room.

Belle sighed as she grabbed Reno by the ear and dragged him out of J'dee's room.

“Really, women like you better when you're on mute,” Belle sighed.

“Ow, yo, let me go!” Reno cried and she sighed again.

“Seriously Reno, why do you think I did you when you were vapor and water…I couldn't hear you,” she said and closed J'dee's door behind them.

“Really?” Reno asked and Belle nodded.

“Totally, if you had stayed quiet till tomorrow I probably would have done you as some afternoon delight,” Belle grinned and Reno smirked.

“You mean that yo?” he asked and Belle laughed as she slipped into her bedroom.

“No,” she slammed the door shut.

“Damn it!” Reno cried as he thumped to the couch in aggravation. He was going to have a serious case of blue balls if things didn't get better.

J'dee sat there for a moment blinking and staring at the door her face still heated up. “I um… is that-?”

“Normal for Reno? Oh yeah.” Zack's arms moved round her waist his mouth slipping to her neck to nip lightly.

J'dee was sure she was blushing as Zack had her fully distracted, by the toned and tanned chest, Reno's actions slipping from her mind.

“But I…” J'dee began, when Zack's hand touched her lips.

“If he even thinks of watching… we should give him a reason to be jealous…”

“I can't move…” J'dee whined.

Zack chuckled. “Does it matter… this is nice…”

J'dee let out a breath that tickled his chest. “If I pass out in training tomorrow I blame you.”

Zack grinned.

“And it's so easy when you're evil! This is the life, you see, the Devil tips his hat to me!” Tobias sang horribly, cooking breakfast for his friends. “I do it all because I'm evil! And I do it all for free, because your tears are all the pay I'll ever need!”

“Cute.” Misato said, causing Tobias to look up from the pan after he flipped the pancakes. He was dressed in shorts and t-shirt with a ball cap jammed on his head. “Do you always sing along to such horrid songs while cooking or is this a recent development?”

“Not all the songs on this CD are so horrid.” Tobias replied, emptying the pan of pancakes onto the middle serving plate as Misato sat down. “I decided to leave Shinji to his own devices for the workout today so I cooked the breakfast from hell!”

“The breakfast from hell?” Misato replied warily, eying the table loaded with food. Scrambled eggs, poached eggs, sunny side up eggs, eggs in a blanket, bacon, sausage, hash, toast, pancakes, French toast, fried potatoes, hash browns, and even a small platter of toppings which included cheese, chilli, among others.

“Toby…” Misato trailed off not sure how to respond to sight before her.

“No worries.” Tobias said, glancing out the window as he dunked the pan into the sink which was filled with soapy water and other dirty dishes. He opened the fridge and yanked out cartons of orange juice, apple juice, and milk. “It's not meant for just the three of us.”

As if on cue the Outlaw Star crew came barging threw the patio door as Shinji came up from the basement. Shinji blinked in shock, his towel around his head from drying his sweaty hair.

“Um…hi?” Shinji said, looking surprised. Aisha grinned lecherously at him while the others looked amused, before making their way to the dining room.

“Toby invited us all over for breakfast!” Aisha announced happily. Shinji flushed, realizing he was dressed in sweaty training clothes in front of the girl he liked.

“I'll join you after I shower.” Shinji replied as he dashed from the room, for the bathroom. Aisha grinned before turning to head for the dining room. She blinked seeing Misato and Toby watching with grins.

“Before you eat maybe you should go catch a show?” Tobias said, grinning. Misato elbowed him but Tobias kept grinning. Aisha smirked before turning around to head for the bathroom. Tobias blinked.

“I didn't think she'd actually do it.” Tobias muttered to his girlfriend. Misato sighed.

“We've known her for how long now?” she replied. Everyone turned to the hallway where a mostly unmanly shriek came from the bathroom.

“AH! Aisha what are you doing in here?”

“Well I wondered if you needed a hand washing your back! But I guess since you're such a big boy you need more hands for other things huh?”

“AISHA!”

Belle was cooking a monstrous breakfast as the kitchen filled up.

“That smells good,” Ikkaku grumbled as he grabbed a helping of the scrambled eggs.

“You're welcome,” Belle muttered as she quickly fried up bacon.

“What's the feast for?” Goku muttered, depressed now that Gojyo was gone again.

“Alphonse is done in his tank today,” Belle stated as she watched Ed inhale food at the speed of light. “Edward, I'm going to get breakfast before we go.”

“Come on!” he whined.

“Edward, I'm slightly hypoglycemic so if you want me to pass out part way through waking Alphonse up that's your choice, but seeing as I'm the only one who knows how to wake him up that's going to be hard with me unconscious,” Belle warned.

“I'm sure someone else got the instructions,” Ed muttered.

“Yeah, Cloud and Vincent were there for the wake up instructions but guess what they're both gone and the Widdle Washu that held the direction was destroyed by Water, I'm all you got kid,” Belle said as she stopped for a moment and hugged Edward. “Be patient, give me a few hours and we'll go, I'm as excited to see him as you are.”

“I'm curious to see his new body as well,” Hakkai stated as he took a helping of breakfast. “Goku leave some for the others.”

“I don't see what's so great, he was a shitting machine that you let suck on your tits,” Grimmjow snapped from the couch.

“And you are a shitting machine that wishes I would let you suck on my tits,” Belle called back and there was a growl.

“What's with all the noise?” Zack asked as he came out of J'dee's room and Belle blushed as she saw his hair wasn't slicked back but was puffing around his head. “What's with you?” Belle giggled as she rubbed her hand through his hair.

“You're twenty times cuter with your hair like this,” she giggled as she returned to cooking.

“So you're saying I should wear it like this more often?” Zack teased and Belle nodded.

“You never comment on my hair yo,” Reno complained.

“That's because while incredibly cute, you would grope me if I tried to play with it,” Belle stated.

J'dee rolled over in bed with a groan and found the blank spot a disappointment, but then again she sprawled out in Zack's absent space, grabbing the pillow that still had his scent on it and curling round it.

She was aware of the door opening and looked up seeing Zack holding up a mug. “You get the puppy mug this time.” He teased handing the hot chocolate to her.

J'dee sat up as he shut the door; she took a sip of the drink and smiled.

Zack smiled as he lent against the door watching her. “Are you going to move from there anytime soon?” He asked.

She shook her head. “Nope comfy.” She curled round the pillow and he moved up to the bed slinking in behind her. His hands moved round her waist as his mouth nipped up the back of her neck. Glad that he had enough energy to lend her to retract her wings.

“Take it you slept well then?”

She laughed. “I dreamt of Rufus.”

“Awww c'mon don't tell me that.” Zack pouted.

She laughed. “Don't worry it was a silly dream, I think he was trying to teach a college classroom, that seemed to expand out from Coles supermarket.”

“Uhhh right and…”

“Yazoo had white hair that was the length of Sephiroth's. I think Cloud was with me. But he kept calling me you.” She paused taking a sip of the hot chocolate.

“Well don't think I can explain that dream.” Zack laughed. “Unless that's some ultimate yaoi fantasy there.”

She sat up blushing. “No… well maybe… but I'm sorry your sexual preference confused me in Crisis Core. All that Angeal, Seph fan boying then the Cissnei Aerith come ons.”

Zack laughed. “Okay do not ever mention Angeal in that light again.” He plucked the drink from her hand. “But do get up we need to head over to Toby's to wake Alphonse up. Or have you forgotten?”

“Oh snap! That's today?” J'dee jumped up and looked round grabbing her robe, before looking at him. “Go get something to eat I need a shower.”

“What no invitation?”

J'dee blinked her face blushing, she felt the wings sprout out and she squeaked as a puff of feathers drifted to the ground. She wrapped her wings round herself.

“Damn that's not cool It's going to look like a pillow fight went off I here. So stop that!” She motioned at Zack.

He sat on her bed in the boxer shorts grinning. “Hey I didn't do anything.”

J'dee grumbled retracting the wings pulling the robe on doing it up picking up a towel and walking out to the bathroom.

“It emerges.” Reno grinned.

J'dee flushed mumbling a curse that if he said anything else she'd permanently mute him.

“You really have no idea how uncomfortable it is to have someone stare at you while you eat,” Belle stated as she gave Edward a look. The Fullmetal Alchemist blushed.

“I just really want to see Alphonse,” he said and Belle nodded.

“I know Ed, you just need to stop staring at me, it's not making me move any faster,” she said and he sighed before getting up and starting to play one of the Fullmetal games.

“That boy is a masochist,” Grimmjow stated and Belle groaned.

“Go away!” she cried, not that it worked. She got up and picked up the phone, quickly dialing Toby's.

“Hello?” Shinji's voice answered and Belle smiled.

“Shinji, we're going to be heading over within the hour to wake up Alphonse,” she said.

“Really? That's great. I'll let everyone here know,” he said and Belle smiled.

“Thank you, Shinji,” she said.

“No problem,” he called and Belle hung up before looking to see her plate was empty.

“Hey! I wasn't done with that!” she snapped.

“You left it alone,” Grimmjow said as he finished the last of the toast. Belle wondered if turning him to ice all day would make him stop stealing her food.

Shinji hung up the phone to turn to the crowd in the dining room. Gene finished some joke that had most of them laughing. Tobias was relaxing in his chair, his right arm slung around the back of Misato's chair. Said woman was finishing her breakfast before she leaned into his side. Gene and Mel were across from them, much the same. Jim and Suzuka sat to their left. Suzuka had taken to wearing large, voluminous kimonos lately. Aisha sat next to Misato and was eying Shinji with that look that reminded him of jungle cat stalking its prey like she had since walking in on him in the shower. He flushed, when he realized he was hoping that she'd catch him.

“Belle called they're stopping over some time today to wake up Al.” Shinji informed them. Tobias nodded, grinning.

“Good, then when they're done, I can speak with them. I think it's time we went looking for these assholes.” Tobias said, referring to the elementals.

“Hear, hear!”

Zack sat in the passenger side, he was piled in the car with J'dee, Havoc, Hakkai and Goku, while Belle was in her car with Ed, Grimmjow, Reno and Able, the Shinigami heading in their usual method of transport, while the fathers were in another car, while Roy, Hawke-eye and Armstrong were in the last car.

Zack looked over his shoulder to J'dee, Goku and Havoc in the backseat.

“You look deep in thought.” Zack commented.

J'dee looked up for a moment. “Just… yeah.”

Zack saw Goku looking at J'dee. “You okay?”

“Yeah I think so… just wondering about certain connections between my astral abilities and something one of my mother's friends told me once.” She replied seeing Toby's house in the distance.

“Oh?” Hakkai smiled. “Your mother…”

“Yeah she got told that we're supposed to be… one of those earth spirits when we cross over. Cause of our powers… I was just wondering… about the connection to Aerith my astral abilities and that if they're all connected somehow. Aerith was supposed to die to help the planet what if…”

“Don't even think it.” Zack remarked as Hakkai pulled Hakaryuu up behind Belle's car, seeing Ed get out and open the gate up to let them all through.

“Yeah sorry… morbid me bad thought.” J'dee smiled sheepishly.

“You know you guys could be a little quieter.” Tobias said, walking up with Misato and the others. “We could have been sleeping you know.”

“And good morning to you too, sunshine.” Belle replied. Tobias grinned.

“Ready Dr. Frankenstein?”

“Oh you're a riot today, Toby.” Belle said, turning to lead the way to the barn.

“I aim to please.”

Belle led the way into the barn where Alphonse floated in the liquid of the tank and Ed's arm and leg floated in the tank next to him.

“Uh…what's with the extra parts?” Ed asked and Belle smiled.

“Washu made them for you as a present. Until she comes back though…they're kind of a creepy present,” Belle explained as she headed to Alphonse' tank.

“Are you sure you can wake him up?” Toby asked and Belle gave him a look. “What? It's just Washu is gone, her instruction robot is trashed, do you really know how to do this?”

“Your faith in me overflows my cup,” Belle stated with as much biting sarcasm as she could. “Washu made it simple so that if she wasn't here, which with you in Mars and her possibly trying to save you, was a possibility.”

“Oh, that makes sense,” Toby stated and Belle reminded herself that they would be training later and she could turn his testicles into ice cubes.

“Anyway, since I pass your test, I'm going to start the process of waking him up, try not to distract me,” she stated as she began punching in the codes. They were all things Belle would remember. She slowly became aware of two presences next to her. One was Edward staring up at his brother in awe and the other was Hisagi, who was obviously keeping Reno and Grimmjow away. It was slightly distracting that he was standing next to her, with his cute butt facing her way.

`Bad hormones, not now!' she mentally scolded herself. Maybe she needed to turn her own blood cold for a little bit.

“And I've said you shall not pass… what part of shall not don't you get?” J'dee commented outside the barn, taking a drag of her cigarette.

“Awww c'mon yo…”

J'dee glared at Reno. “Don't make me put you on mute again.”

Grimmjow snickered. “You'll use up to much of your power if you keep pulling stunts like that.”

“The funny thing about Air is that there seems to be vast amounts of it in an open space like this. I doubt it would affect me at all when I have natural refueling sources about me… now who wants to try and test me first?” J'dee crossed her arms challenging Reno or Grimmjow to make a move.

“Finished!” Belle cried as she watched the liquid begin to drain out of the tank. She watched as Alphonse slowly ended up lying on the floor of the tube. She pressed another button and the tube opened allowing her and Edward to squeeze in.

“Here.” Hisagi called, handing them a blanket and they quickly wrapped up Alphonse. Belle placed the boy's head in her lap and stroked his forehead.

“Come on Al, wake up,” Edward whispered his eyes filling with tears. Belle knew her eyes were the same as she cooed and stroked Al's wet hair. He began to stir and slowly golden eyes opened and looked up at Edward and Belle.

“Brother…Mother….” he whispered and Belle smiled as she bent down and kissed Alphonse' forehead.

“We're here Alphonse,” Belle whispered and he smiled as he looked at them.

“We did it, I have a new body,” he said and Ed began to weep before hugging his brother and Belle smiled as the first of her tears escaped and she wiped them away. Alphonse's body was her first child, but she would have to give him up for his world. It felt like something inside of her broke and suddenly Alphonse was hugging her.

“Thank you so much Belle,” he whispered and Belle smiled before she held Alphonse to her tightly. He was her first child, but he was his own person.

J'dee walked away from the barn guarding duty leaving Hisagi, Yumichika and Ikkau to watch over Belle with the boys.

“Guess we better get started.” J'dee mused looking up at the sky.

Reno grinned. “Started meaning you going to loose your top again yo?”

Zack slapped Reno over the back of the head. “Seriously Reno can't you focus for just a moment.”

“I am focusing yo… focusing on making sure I don't get blue balls while waiting for one of them to give it up.”

“Continue talking like that and you'll be the last one they sleep with.” Havoc commented lighting a smoke.

Reno grinned at Havoc. “So what was she like to tap then?”

Zack slapped Reno over the back of the head again. While Havoc seemed to choke oh the smoke from his cigarette.

“Reno I think it's time to see how well Turk training goes up against SOLDIER.”

J'dee shook her head and she let her wings shoot out the feathers floating on a gust of wind. “Gunna practice flying to a bit till my vertigo kicks in, any takers for an air battle?” She asked looking over her shoulder.

Kira smiled. “I would like to test something out if you don't mind…”

J'dee blinked for a moment watching him draw his blade and her eyebrow quirked up. “Oh…. That's going to hurt…”

“I think it would be beneficial for you to know about how much weight you can handle while up in the air… incase you try to overdo it if a situation arises.” Kira stated.

Hakkai nodded his head. “He's got a point there.” He smiled. “If we could fly we would offer to fight you but I think Goku and I will stick to the ground.”

“Wait I'm not sparring up against you?!” Goku exclaimed motioning at Hakkai rapidly before backing away.

“We could stick you up against Kenpachi if you'd like” Hakkai smiled.

Goku's grin grew. “Oh that would be AWESOME!!!”

Zack raised a brow and looked at Hakkai, “okay he won't fight you but he'll fight the guy that could break him in half in less than two seconds, how come I'm not seeing the logic in that?”

Hakkai just merely smiled.

“You are so hiding something.” Zack motioned before heading out to the field.

Kenpachi let out a chuckle. “Nobody can beat Ken chan!” Yachiru chirped from his shoulder.

“Maybe we should wait for this fight, Toby's land might not be able to take much more damage.” Hakkai laughed nervously.

J'dee shook her head, “we need to do this and keep it up, these guys have centuries up on us, if we slack off too much who knows what might happen.” She commented before shooting up into the sky. Kira jumping up after her.

Belle watched as Edward transmuted the blanket into clothing and she smiled as she looked at Alphonse and Edward.

“My goodness, you two look so much alike,” she laughed.

“Alphonse looks a lot like you,” Hisagi stated and Belle blinked as she looked at the formerly armored child. He had several of her features. Her cheeks, her lips, her nose, and maybe skin tone.

“He's certainly got lighter hair and different colored eyes,” she stated and the two nodded.

“We should be training,” Yumichika reminded them and Belle nodded.

“Have you learned more tricks?” Alphonse asked and she smiled.

“Of course,” she said and he grinned. “Be careful now Alphonse, you're made out of flesh and blood, you're not as indestructible as you were in the armor.” Ed suddenly looked serious.

“She's right Al, you can be hurt easier,” Ed looked at his automail arm. “I'm going to have to get used to flesh you. We need to train.”

“You also aren't all there physically, you were advanced aged,” Belle stated before grinning. “Which is why I made a ton of the foods Edward said were your favorites.” Alphonse eyes got huge as he realized that eating was once again possible.

“Really?!” he called and Ikkaku pointed at the picnic basket by his feet.

“All for you, kid,” he stated and Alphonse whooped as he and Ed raided the basket.

“That was kind of you,” Hisagi stated and Belle blushed.

“Hey, I'm his mother, in a few ways,” she said before she looked at Ikkaku.

“Watch over them please?” she asked and he nodded as she headed out with Hisagi at her side.

“So let's see what you can do, Toby!” Misato said after they watched the others training for a bit.

“ZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz….” Was Tobias's response. She turned to see Tobias under a nearby tree. He had his arms behind his head, was lying against the tree with is hat over his eyes. He wasn't the only one as Shinji, Gene, Jim, Aisha, and even Suzuka had joined him there for a small nap. Misato couldn't help but laugh as Melfina sighed.

J'dee hit the ground hard and groaned, before rubbing her head looking at Kira as he landed on the ground with a light tap.

“Terribly sorry I wasn't aiming for you to fall quite so fast.” He offered his hand.

J'dee grabbed it feeling her bones hurting. “Okay can't move Kira… thanks.”

“Well I counted two blows.” Hakkai mused, “If we do the math right that is a lot of weight. Your original weight would be?”

J'dee frowned. “Don't ask a women's weight Hakkai… Ever.”

He chuckled nervously. “Well I'm trying to work out the math… your original weight double that and it would be what? Roughly?”

“I'm sixty kg, so it would be a hundred and twenty kg, times by two, two forty kg… convert to lbs…roughly half of a thousand… weeeeelll I'm defiantly not in line to become a body builder…”

Zack walked up to her kneeling down. “I think you should perhaps practice with a lighter weight…”

J'dee let out a breath leaning against him. “Astral?”

“Astral.” He nodded with a smile.

“Joooy.” J'dee drawled closing her eyes letting her muscles drop into the relaxing state before she shifted out of her body.

Kira placed his sword away watching. “Well at least you're learning how to jump from your body without assistance.”

“Blame my mother for that one.” J'dee grumbled.

“How come they can see your astral form but we can only hear you?” Goku asked leaning on his staff.

“Air is my element.”

“You know why they call it an astral form right?” Belle asked as she stared at J'dee's body in Zack's arms.

“Why?” Kenpachi bit and Belle grinned.

“Because you have to be an ass to achieve it,” she grinned before the wind began to blow at her. “It was funny and you know it!” She built a wall of ice around her and snickered as the wind hit at it over and over again.

“She's a regular comedian,” Grimmjow muttered as he attacked Renji again, the two had been sparing since they arrived.

“No fair, J'dee, I can't see you so it's just not fair!” Belle cried before she ran for the pond, diving into the water and grinning as the wind caused the top of the water to grow into waves but unable to reach Belle.

Air sat crouched on a branch a few hundred yards away remaining in his transparent state, the only thing visible was a single cigarette slowly burning away.

He watched J'dee's Astral body chasing Belle about and smirked to himself. He held up the pendant, before taking a drag of the cigarette.

He could probably just waltz right up to them and snag her in her astral form, if the calculations were right, he could hold her in the pendant until it was time for the ritual. After all, his part of the ritual he had to kill her, and then destroy her astral form before taking the lingering powers into his body.

He wanted that power today. But there were just too many of them around and she was surrounded even in her astral form the escape would be way to close without his shadow minions around.

“Next time… I'll definitely be next time. I'll be more prepared. We're so close to finishing this.” His hand closed round the pendant and he let the cigarette butt drop to the ground before letting the gust of wind swallow him up and take him back to headquarters.

Fire stood before her soul pieces and the trapped goddess. She pondered her next move.

She had the Black Bible. She had Tobias under her thrall and he would have willing given her his soul. Then she could have killed the others and made herself whole using the last four in dark ritual. Water and Air were against dark magic but she was not, anything that would make her complete and get her out of the thumb of those accursed Goddesses was worth it, in her opinion. But her plan to control Tobias had failed thanks to those meddling kids.

At least there was no dog.

She scratched her chin as she thought. The ritual was designed to take his soul into hers, but Tobias had to be willing. Since her charm was broken she needed to get him to give to her some other way.

She gazed at the tanks for awhile before beginning to cackle evilly.

Oh yes, she had the perfect plan now!

Water stood before his prisoners and smiled as he placed a hand on the monk's tube. He grinned as he read the monk's mind, seeing what the monk saw.

A child running through the woods as men chased him. The child was starved and weak, unaware that his home was in ruins and those who raised him slain or cursed. He fell and the men were on him. There an attempted fight but the boy was too weak and was beaten down. Then it became clear that the boy's lovely face was going to instill something worse.

Water knew that the boy would try to kill them so he altered the dream, instead allowing the alternative ending that the monk had never dared dream before to occur. Water laughed as the monk thrashed in his tank, screaming as he was mentally raped by his first victim.

It was hard not to smile as he moved to the vampire. The vampire was trapped in a similar tube watching the woman he love weep for him. A rather mundane nightmare so Water decided to push it to the next level, causing the dream to shift. The woman he loved was being taken in front of him by the man who had imprisoned him.

Water stepped back as he watched the vampire thrash, trying to release his power but the liquid kept him weak. The plant was next, he was dreaming about the woman. Water smiled as he altered that dream too, changing it from her death to the plant's twin killing her over and over again in gruesome ways. The plant actually screamed as he thrashed around in the liquid. Water purred in his throat as he moved to the last one. The alchemist was stronger than he looked and Water peered into his dreams.

The woman was standing by the window waiting for him but she was withering, aging in fast forward. Lush skin began to dry and turn to mummified husk as the horrible creature waited for him. Her corpse turned to dust before his eyes before she was restored and the process happened again.

Water decided that it was hard to mess with such a disturbing dream and headed out of the chamber. He had made three of his four guests more miserable, it was kind of hard to top the fourth's self imposed punishment.

J'dee dodged the oncoming energy wave attacks rolling out of the way she landed on a crouch before glancing up seeing Zack reattach the buster sword to his back.

“You're learning to move faster in that form. What other tricks you got in this life.”

J'dee frowned this life she hated them mentioning this life, like somewhere in there somewhere she knew he still saw part of her as Aerith even if he didn't call her by the same anymore.

“I have plenty of tricks but you won't see them till I hit thirty-two it's well into Saturn's return then, then you'll see me with alllllll kinds of tricks, but we don't exactly have years to wait.” J'dee remarked falling against a tree to lean against letting out a yawn.

“So what are you going to do about it yo? We need to speed your training up.” Reno tapped the EMR across the back of his neck looking in her general direction.

“How about sleep?” J'dee grinned.

“That's not gunna help.” Zack sighed.

J'dee pushed herself up from the tree. “Oh on the contrary with someone like me it's absolutely perfect.”

“You're more lazier than I am yo.” Reno remarked.

J'dee let her astral body slip back into her normal body before she tried to sit up slowly. “Regardless, I'm about to receive some massive amount of information and training done via sleep. Spiritual is not like the physical.”

Zack helped J'dee stand up. “So sleeping is training?”

“If I want these powers amped yeah… because the only way I can achieve them is on the astral plain. But to do that successfully I think I might need my body guarded.” J'dee lent against Zack who glanced at her.

“Solo training?” He asked with a frown.

J'dee smiled. “Yeah and no, I'd have my guardians there… Because some astral plain's are not anything like the reality you see here… messages are stronger and flow more freely in that direction I'd be able to pick up my training faster, if I spent say a day and a bit there. No more though because, the longer you're out of a body the harder it is to get back.”

Zack blinked. “Guardians?”

J'dee nodded her head testing her still aching body. “Yeah, those who have passed before us and are assigned to guide the living.”

“That's some whacky dream world you live in yo, any of them hot?” Reno smirked.

“Reno. Note the words passed before us.” J'dee pointed out with flat eyes.

“Hey vapor water was hot; spirit sex could be just as good yo.”

Zack's hand slapped his forehead with a sigh.

Belle blocked Grimmjow with a tentacle of water, throwing the Espada back into the woods as she dipped below the water's surface and knocked Hugue, Kira, and Renji out of the way. She had been keeping her eyes closed so she had been having a better offensive and defensive reaction. As much as she hated being wrong, she had to give Hisagi credit, she was better when she used her vapor vision.

“Don't get too cocky,” Hisagi warned her as he activated Kazeshini's shikai and Belle sighed as she looked at his weapon.

“Oh come on, I'm not good enough to take on shikai!” she moaned as Renji, Ikkaku, and Yumichika all activated theirs. “You guys suck.”

“No but we'd loved it if you gave us the opportunity,” Grimmjow chuckled as he flew at Belle and she hissed as she shot out ice darts at all of them before letting herself be thrown to the top of her tentacles.

“Okay, time to get to work!” Misato called. Tobias was rudely awakened by a large splash of ice water. He sat up with a jolt, sputtering.

“Thanks Belle!” Melfina called to the water user. Belle shot them a cocky salute before turning her attention back to her own targets. Tobias burst into flames for a moment before returning to normal, a bit dryer.

“You're getting better. I don't think any of your clothes were singed that time.” Misato noted. Tobias grinned.

“My clothes change with me now.” Tobias said cockily. He jumped as a gun shot rang out and a bullet kicked up the dirt by his feet. He whirled around to see Gene, Jim, and Aisha grinning evilly at him.

“Well since you seem to have such good control now, let's see how well you can dodge!” Gene said, taking a bead on Tobias.

Tobias let out a very manly, “Eeep!” before taking off.

Misato shook her head and turned to see Suzuka sitting with Melfina and Shinji under the tree.

“Not going to help, Suzu?” Misato asked. Suzuka frowned as Misato grinned, but shook her head.

“No, I do believe I'm going to enjoy the show.” Suzuka replied, pulling out a thermos of tea from her large kimono. Rolling her eyes as Suzuka poured herself some more tea, Misato went back to watch her boyfriend dodge the bullets and claws of his friends.

Belle lay on the grass panting as she enjoyed the break, her body was sore but she felt accomplished and stronger. She looked up at the sky and noticed a lack of clouds. She grinned as she held a hand up and spread her fingers forcing water vapor into the air. Quickly a big, fluffy cloud began to appear and she smiled brightly before getting a fantastic idea. She focused and slowly the cloud turned into a cat making her giggle. She turned the cloud into a dog, then a horse, and then a dragon before she let if float away and shift under the force of the wind.

Another bubble of water vapor was sent into the sky and as it formed a cloud Belle grinned with a giggle as she created a cloud Toby getting hit over the head by a mallet.

“What's so funny?” Grimmjow asked and Belle pointed up.

“Hey!” Toby cried before dodging an attack from Gene. Belle laughed more before she made a cloud Misato to kick cloud Toby away.

“Oh, make one of us!” Al cried and Belle smiled as she sent up another bubble of water vapor. This time there was a cloud Alphonse and a cloud Edward clapping their hands on an invisible ground and smiling down at the group.

“You know other people can see that,” J'dee called and Belle grinned as she sent up another bubble of vapor up into the sky this time a cloud Zack and a cloud J'dee were kissing.

“Is that better?” Belle asked with a playful grin.

“Gah! Get rid of that!” J'dee cried as Zack laughed.

“Nah take their clothes off!” Reno cried and Belle got an evil grin before a gust of air hit her.

There was a poof sound and J'dee felt her eyes go flat as she felt the weight of her wings and her arms crossed her chest, she had put on a normal shirt for the astral training, but now it was torn cause of the publicized embarrassment in the sky on display.

“Never mind the sky we almost got shirtless here yo…” Reno smirked.

J'dee held her torn shirt in place glaring at the leering Reno.

The white feathers drifted on the gentle breeze around them.

“Like a pillow fight without the pillows.” Zack laughed.

J'dee waved her hand about letting the wind brush the clouds away, her other hand holding her top up to cover her chest. “Someone just give me a halter top please?” She grumbled pulling the shirt off to reveal her black strapless bra.

“Who needs a shirt with that look yo?” Reno laughed.

“That's it Belle I don't need another red head leering at me!!” J'dee jumped up chasing Belle.

Belle laughed jumping up and running away from her. “Birds of a feather!” She teased.

“Not funny!” J'dee shouted chasing her friends. “That bird pun is not appreciated!”

“Okay, that's it!” Tobias snapped, skidding to a halt. He whirled around cupped his hand before him. A large ball of flame instantly sparked to life and began to grow enormous.

“Um….Toby, we were just playing!” Gene said, nervously. Tobias grinned at them evilly.

“And so am I!” Tobias roared and thrust his hands towards them. The ball of fire burst towards them and formed a giant dragon of fire which began to chase them around the clearing while Tobias laughed happily.

Belle laughed as she ran from J'dee, jumping onto the water and running to the center of the pond.

“No fair! I can't run on water!” J'dee cried and Belle made a face at her.

“It's completely fair, I can't fly!” she stated as she pointed at J'dee's wings.

“Oh, yeah, got to get used to those,” J'dee chuckled as she lifted off and Belle sent up a tentacle of water to grab J'dee by the ankle, swinging her around before tossing her into Zack's arms. “No fair!”

“It's so fair!” Belle laughed before dropping into the water to avoid the attacking gusts of air.

“Mwha ha ha ha! Fear my power!” Tobias said, cackling in an over the top evil voice. His dragon charged after the others. The Elric brothers tried to help out their friends, before Tobias himself retaliated. Now both brothers were running around with the seat of their pants on fire.

“Time to put you out!” J'dee cried and hit Tobias's dragon with a big blast of wind. The dragon roared mournfully before going out.

“Oh so you want some too?” Tobias shouted at her, grinning. J'dee let out a shriek as a bra made of fire ignited on her chest. He smirked as J'dee dropped and began to roll. He was so distracted he missed Belle forming a giant mallet of water and smashing him with it.

“Gaaaaaaaah that's two tops I've lost already today!! And my only strapless.” J'dee whined sitting on the ground her arms crossed over her chest pouting.

“Face it you're just supposed to go naked yo” Reno smirked.

J'dee waved her hand slapping Reno with a gust of air.

She eeped seeing Belle fire ice darts at her and let the wind slap up and fire the darts in another direction with a glare.

“Someone get me a top now!!!” J'dee shouted.

“Shit!” Belle muttered as she found that J'dee could completely push away the ice darts. “Oh well.” With a gesture Toby was drenched again.

“Would you stop doing that?” he growled and Belle smiled.

“You're just annoyed that I can wear a white shirt and not have it soaked when I come out of the water,” Belle teased before dropping below the surface of the water again to avoid a blast of fire.

“Don't make me boil that water!” Toby cried as Belle stepped out again.

“It's pretty big pond, are you sure I can't put you out before then?” she taunted and he grinned at the challenge. This time as Belle used the water to throw herself into the air, J'dee threw a gust of wind at her, knocking her out of the way of her water tentacle and towards Grimmjow's waiting arms. “J'dee no fair!”

“It's so fair,” J'dee called back with a grin and Belle decided to try something out of the comic books. She focused on the water vapor in the air and quickly turned it to ice, making a very Bobby Drake slide.

“Oh what are you? Iceman?” Toby called and Belle laughed.

“Well you're the Human Torch so it's only fair,” she laughed as she created an ice slide back into the water.

Hakkai chuckled as he handed J'dee a halter top. She smiled taking it and turning her back on the group and pulling it on doing it up.

“Thank you Hakkai at least I know you're not one of those pervs.” She pulled her hair out from under the tie at the back with a sigh.

“Not a problem Miss J'dee. Though I hate to admit it, but Gojyo would find this very amusing if he were here.” Hakkai let out a breath for the moment.

J'dee turned round and offered him a smile. “We'll get him back Hakkai don't you worry I can hear it on the wind they're telling me we'll get him back don't worry about that.”

Zack moved up to her. “C'mon lets get you rested for a bit.”

Hakkai smiled as the two moved under a tree. Goku walked up next to Hakkai. “You think we'll get them back Hakkai?”

“I'm sure we will Goku, You know Sanzo and Gojyo as well as I do.” Hakkai smiled at Goku. Even though there was that slight worry that still bothered him in the back of his mind.

J'dee sat under a tree Zack seated behind her looking up at the sky, J'dee flipped through a few photos on her phone. She was aware of Zack's hand resting on her leg as he squeezed it.

“Wish we could have had more time like this last time.”

J'dee stopped for a moment and she sighed. “My mother's spiritual friends mentioned that me and my mother are Earth guardians, so when we die we don't pass over normally, I assume that was the same for Aerith and her mother… but just so you know. I'm not Aerith…”

Zack looked at her. “Wasn't referring to then… was referring to my stupidity in thinking Angeal was here and making me leave you.”

“Ah… so you say…”

“I thought you were Air not Earth.”

J'dee looked over her shoulder at Zack. “Air is my element at birth, Earth is reference to the planet, not the element.” She paused for a moment. “Wow I really am screwed aren't I?”

“Hmmm how?”

“When I did my research on your world Aerith had references to Earth in Air, mentioned to her. The Earth Guardian aspect that I've been told is when we die and cross over we get a piece of the planet to protect and watch over. My mother's friend went ahead and said that I was stronger than my mother that I was destined to be a stronger guardian.” J'dee looked at a photo in her camera. “Until then I'm some sort of conduit.”

“Not a two way conduit?” Zack frowned.

“Uhhh… well I talk to them they hear me, they talk back not quite what you're thinking… not a science experiment this world.”

Belle sat on a log and sighed as she looked at the damage she had done when she tried to chase after Vincent. The forest would take a while to heal.

“It's alright, he wouldn't blame you for not saving him,” Hisagi stated as he came out of the woods next to her.

“I know, but it's a reminder of my own failure, I'm disappointed with myself,” she said as she looked at the broken and dead plants. “I shouldn't have damaged the forest because of my own over emotional breakdown.”

“You're only human,” he said and she shook her head.

“But I'm not anymore, I'm not human, neither is J'dee or Toby. We're like you, close to human, close enough to breed with humans, but we're not anymore,” Belle sighed. “I mean, what human could do this because she was angry?” She indicated the destruction before looking at Hisagi and then at Kazeshini.

“What?” he asked and she looked at him.

“I need to learn to use a sword,” she stated and Hisagi blinked.

“You don't have a sword,” he commented and Belle smiled as she held out her hand, quickly the water vapor in the air condensed turning into ice before his eyes, becoming an ice sword in Belle's hand.

“I can whenever I need one,” Belle stated and Hisagi noticed that her hand seemed to turn an icy blue as she held the blade.

“That won't withstand metal,” he informed her and she smiled again as she braced herself with both hands on the hilt.

“Try it,” she said and Hisagi moved at human speeds, slashing at her sword with his and gasping in shock as the swords clanged.

“How is that possible?” he hissed as he stared at the light frost on Kazeshini's blade.

“A mix of deep freeze and deep concentration,” Belle explained as she swung her sword lightly. “The cold keeps the ice and my concentration keeps the hardness. If I don't concentrate the sword is a useless as an ordinary ice sword, but this one…it will do.” Hisagi stared at Belle, she was wearing that aged look in her eyes. Eons of life were dancing in her blue irises and Hisagi was again torn between demanding answers and wanting to protect her.

“I'll teach you,” he said and Belle smiled at him, the ages lifted from her eyes. Hisagi felt more comfortable with the ages missing from Belle's eyes and he would do his best to keep them gone.

J'dee stood up slowly aware of the night slowly coming in to settle. “Ugh I'm beat guys can we call it a day I need to shower and crash bad, over use of spiritual and physical powers today.”

“Can we eat when we get back?” Goku asked.

“I'm sure that will be possible.” Hakkai smiled. “It has been a long day, all of us will need to eat to recover.”

“Then that's settle home James!” J'dee announced taking a few steps towards the cars parked on Toby's property.

“I thought you were going to talk to them about the others?” Misato asked, as Tobias waved bye to them. He paused and sighed, lowering his hand.

“Well shit.” Tobias muttered. He sighed and rubbed his head. “I'll call them tomorrow.”

“Night, Toby!” Gene called as he and the others left. He waved back to them. He missed the look Aisha shot Misato, and the grins they exchanged.

Belle yawned as she flopped into her recliner and leaned back, putting her feet up. A cat hopped into her lap and she sighed as she began petting the demanding fur ball.

“How come you never pet me like that?” Grimmjow muttered and Belle smiled.

“Because you pet back, I prefer my cats without grabby hands,” she muttered as she closed her eyes.

“What's for dinner?” Goku asked.

“We should eat in our apartment,” Hakkai called and Belle slowly fell asleep.

J'dee fell face first into her bed pulling her bunny plushie under her arm, she felt Zack move to sit on the bed near her. “You okay?”

“I feel sick… nausea is kicking in, it happens when my body needs to rest and my mind needs to hit spiritual training.” J'dee mumbled into the plushie toy.

Zack rubbed her back. “You all did well today kept us on our feet that's for sure.”

“The questions is…” J'dee began to mumble tiredly. “When will it be enough to take the elements on?”

“I'm sure you'll know…” Zack lay down next to her leaning on his arm. “You'll beat them and we'll save the others.”

“Glad you have the confidence. Even though the planet tells me it'll be all good, I still feel like this final battle is going to be rushed and pushed forward.” She tried to move to roll on her side and groaned. “Oh god moving make me nauseous.”

“Motion sickness?” Zack asked.

“Hnnn don't remind me. I never travelled well.”

Zack rubbed her back. “Sleep it off…”

“Plan to.” J'dee curled up into Zack letting her eyes drift close.

The glacier was cold and Belle was running across it on four legs, her body wearing fur that was thick and resisted the chill of the air. Her paws were large, keeping her from slipping into the snow, of course, her own will kept the snow from letting this form from sinking anyway.

There was a screech and Belle's head turned up, her own will sent up vapor, filling the sky with clouds and snow. She bared her teeth at the thrill of the battle. One like her but different in nature was around and there would be battle. Perhaps death, perhaps….something else. She howled at the sky, calling to her beloved moon before the enemy struck.

White feather matched the snow and Belle's fur was as white as the snow so both combatants were camouflaged for the icy climate. The large bird was huge with four legs and massive wings. The beak was bone white, slightly different from the snow and the feathers. Belle looked upon her opponent and snarled in pleasure, showing off her ivory teeth, red gums, and black lips. An Elemental of Air and an Elemental of Water would battle as an arctic griffon and a glacial wolf. The griffon screeched in challenge and Belle snapped her teeth in acceptance as she lunged at the being before her.

Both were old, millennia of life as Elementals, both had had many a mate and numerous offspring. They danced across the glacier, wounding the other and then healing in their own way. They both felt more of the feminine nature so mating would not occur. Slowly the skies cleared and the battle slowed. Both combatants stopped at the same moment when there was a roar of pain. Battle was fine, it was not a battle to the death, Elementals did not die, but the roar had the taste of Elemental and there was one in danger of death.

The griffon and the wolf looked at each other and slowly the wolf became vapor and the griffon became wind and the vapor rode above the wind as they followed the roar. A dragon was dying, drenched and frozen, the dragon was an Elemental and he was in pain and dying, beside him was an unconscious rhinoceros. The power between them was low, too low to return to Elemental form. The dragon panted in agony for a moment and the vapor floated into the ice ripping apart the glacier, exposing the rocky ground beneath.

The dragon hissed and shoved its head into the ground before pushing the rhinoceros into the hole. The immersion in its element gave the creature enough power to return to its Elemental form of earth. The dragon was panting before the air brought leaves and twigs in its wind. The earth shoved forth two pieces of flint and the air brought one piece of flint to the ice which fell upon the other creating a spark that the air used to ignite the tinder. The dragon returned to fire and the four Elementals floated together.

Belle sat up with a gasp, frost flowing from her mouth as she stared at the room. Edward and Alphonse were staring at her as was Grimmjow and Reno.

“Are you alright?” Renji asked from the table and Belle closed her eyes forcing her body back to normal temperature before she looked at the group.

“Just a dream,” she whispered. Was it just a dream or did she just remember when Air, Water, Earth, and Fire had first met as Griffon, Wolf, Dragon, and Rhinoceros?

Air sat perched on the building across the way, his eyes lingered on the balcony and he could see directly into her room, she lay sleeping he watched as the energy began to gather on the wind flowing through the open door on the balcony to her room where she lay, the corner of his mouth tilted up in a smirk.

“That's right… take it in… train the more your spiritual mind becomes stronger the more power I'll get in the end… when your astral body is mine…”

Air glanced up seeing Mustang move onto the balcony above them and he phased into his invisible state. He could see the flame alchemist glaring across the balcony in his general direction but he knew the man couldn't see him, but that military training told him he was out there waiting and he heard the Colonel's voice on the wind.

“You three are not going to win…”

Air chuckled to himself. “I beg to differ Colonel…” He let himself phase away on the wind back to the headquarters.

“Hey, were did Shinji go?” Tobias asked, putting the finishing the touches on dinner. He put the plate of roasted chicken on the table. Misato smiled.

“He's going to have dinner at Gene's place tonight.” She replied. Tobias blinked at her before smiling. “So it's just the two of us tonight?”

“Yes.” She replied. She looked over the simple dinner and decided it could be easily reheated. She waited long enough and damn it, she wasn't going to wait any longer. “Come with me.”

“Wha-?” Tobias said as Misato stood, grabbing his hand. She led him out of the kitchen and down the hall to his bed room. Yanking him inside, she closed the door behind them, before pulling Tobias close. She kissed him hard and Tobias responded. They stayed locked together as Tobias picked Misato up by her hips. She locked her legs around him as they groped each other. Tobias walked them over to the bed where they fell upon it.

“God I've wanted to do this since I first saw you.” Tobias moaned, raising her shirt up above her head. Misato laughed before letting out a moan. Tobias was kissing and nuzzling her throat.

“Lusting after an anime character. Pervert!” she teased. Tobias laughed as well before kissing her again.

Shinji whistled happily to himself as he walked down the darkening path to Gene's house. He had a good idea of what was happening at home, he was just glad that it had finally happened.

“I just hope they don't spend a week in bed.” Shinji sighed. He continued on his way, never seeing the shadow break away from the tree from behind him until it had engulfed him.
