Digimon 02: Digi-Moon Legacy

 

Recap: Nearly a week has pasted since the last battle with the Dark Alliance and its allies and we find that a mysterious male named Chons appears inside of our Guardian of the Gates of Time bedroom when she takes a shower. After a `passionate experience', we learn that he is a member of the Black Moon family from the Silver Millennium and Chrono's father. However, this Black Moon family member wants children of Queen Serenity to defeat his own family for some reason and he plans to `use' Trista to make sure that assured victory. `Seducing' her and putting a mental link with her, we also find out that he assured that Chrono isn't to learn of his heritage from him. The next morning, we find our heroes and heroines with the forces that they assembled for this attack. However, before they can begin their offensive, they are to meet an unexpected surprise. When we find out that Gennai has assembled one million Digidestined and Digimon partners into a huge army and one thousand of the Digidestined are reincarnated Lunarians. Even through they had their convictions, they took the Digidestined army with them on their assault. Within the four towns along a huge river known as Ives River, they didn't expect the attack until it was too late. However, when the Dark Empire heard of the attack, they were totally furious and assembled their forces against them. When the attack came the Digidestined and Digimon army were in the `rear areas' while the Vana'diel and SeeD forces are in the forward lines. The Vana'diel and SeeD forces battled for their lives, but even for our heroes and heroines aiding the forces of Vana'diel, they were getting pushed back and on the verge of defeat by the fierce forces of the Dark Empire. However, the Lunarian Digidestined and their Digimon partner set forward to aid the battle and with their aid, as well as the rest of the Digidestined forces closest to the battlefield, our heroes and heroines won the battle. Our heroes and heroines recognize the Digidestined and Digimon army as an organized force and they were remained the Digidestined Expeditionary Force or DEF for short. And the Lunarian Digidestined and their Digimon partner were already to be sent into the front lines. Our heroes and heroines knew that this war is going to take a long time and they are going to need all of the help that they are going to get. However, can our heroes and heroines find a way to win against the might of the Dark Empire? How long will the war last against this reality jumping threat? Well, we are going to have to see in the newest addition of Digi-Moon Legacy next!

 

Chapter 10: Galaxy's Star Shines Bright

 

(Six months after the battles on the Ives River; Somewhere within the world of Lunar)

 

Inside of a `dark area' in the world of Lunar, we find the same dark figure seen in the harem, still cloaked be darkness, with three generals. The first general is a Tarutaru of mid-age that slightly taller than the rest of his kind and wearing Dark Knight-type black armor that nearly covers his body, his skin is a deep dark brown, his eyes are a light emerald green, and he has pointed ears like the rest of his people. The Ogre asks, in a deep and low dark voice, “You call for us, my lord?”

 

The dark figure replies, “Yes, I did. It seems like we underestimated our enemies and they have advanced very deep into our captured territories, liberated cities and towns that we had for long periods of time, even years, and created an excellent defense position where we can't get to Vana'diel anymore.”

 

The Elvaan asks the dark figure, “My lord, aren't you displeased?”

 

The dark figure replies, “General Regale, I am angered that those fools in Vana'diel would think of opposing us and managing to take away a huge part of our captured territories, but those areas are of no consequence and I am interested. The war was pretty boring until they managed launched that attack on the captured towns on the Ives River. It was pretty sneaky and it seems like they have their `dark sides' after all. However, they won't be getting any further and with the defense lines that we have created, they will not get through.”

 

The Tarutaru general tells the dark figure, “However, my lord, forgive me for saying so, but we have yet to pierce their defenses. They have managed to figure every one of our tricks and tactics and give us horrible defeats with terrible causalities.”

 

The dark figure tells the Tarutaru general, “It is to be expected, Espial. They aren't fools. They learned well of the tricks and tactics that we employed in the past and used that knowledge to our advantage. The Dark Lord was a total fool to order those attacks with our usual tactics and now, our soldiers have paid the price for those actions. In order to win, we need new tactics to beat them.”

 

General Regale asks the dark figure, “How do we do that, my lord?”

 

The dark figure chuckles and replies, in an evil tone, “Leave that to me, my loyal general. We have an ally that can help us and she has been waiting a long time for a chance for revenge against the children of Queen Serenity and their loved ones, so, let us give her that chance.” The three generals and the dark figure, even under the cloak of darkness, give wide evil grins about what the dark figure is talking about.

Right now, we are inside the flaming ruins of what was once a beautiful and prosperous city that has been turned into a flaming wreck during a recent time and within the flaming ruins of a city, there are signs of battle with explosions and signs of some kind of gun or laser fire. Astral Princess Hikari takes two more enemy troops and exclaims, “By the stars, this is getting to be a headache!” Just then she is charged by the two flying black demons and she barely avoids the attack. However, just then one gigantic Ogre rushes with a battle axe and slams it into her chest, cracking her chest armor, and she screams out as her right side of her lower chest is cut deep by the blow from the Ogre's battle axe. And she falls to the ground with the battle axe stuck in her battle armor and the evil Ogre looms above her.

 

The Ogre says to Astral Princess Hikari, in a dark tone, “Surrender, Valkyrie! If you give yourself to our lord and `please' him, he might let you and treat you right.”

The Ogre calls out, in a serious tone, “Then you shall die!”

Jun tells Tai, a bit annoyed in her tone, “Hello, Tai! I'm the heir to the Sun Kingdom throne not Moon Kingdom. I might be Serena's and Davis' older sister, I don't have any control over their affairs, which are personal and Moon Kingdom affairs.”

 

Sora tells Tai, “Tai, I know that you are getting used to all of this. With Davis, Kari, me, and Mimi being Senshi and reincarnated royalty along with this war, but I think that I should be happy for Davis and Kari.”

 

Tai says, “I know that I should be, but this is happening so fast. However, the fact is . . . My sister is growing up so fast . . . maybe even faster than I can keep up with.”

 

Kari tells Tai, “Oh, Tai. I might be a princess, but I'm still your sister. I just want you to be happy for Davis and me. I love him and I will be glad to spend my life, no matter how many centuries or millennia it will be and this life and in the next.”

 

Tai sighs and replies, with a smile, “I know there is no stopping you, so, when your wedding comes, you know that I will be there with my full support.”

 

Davis tells Tai, with a smile, “Thanks, Tai.”

 

Rei then says, “Okay, now that we've got this out of the way, what's on our agenda today?”

 

Kari then says, “Well, I've got to report to the city of Galena and aid the soldiers there since it is near the frontline.”

 

Davis states, in a serious tone, “And I've got to head for another area around twenty-two miles south of Galena. An area that we designed Hill 345.”

 

Palmon asks, curiously, “Aren't those Digidestined that reincarnated Lunarians up there?”

 

Veemon tells Palmon, “That's right, Palmon. They are vital to the defense of that hill.”

 

Patamon states, in a plain tone, “Those Digidestined really grew up in the past six months. They are much more powerful warriors and better fighters than ever.”

 

Izzy says, in a logical tone, “All of us have changed within the six months that we have been battling on Lunar. The rest of us may not have Interdimensional Warrior powers like you, but it looks like our time on Lunar has given us our own special powers and abilities as well.”

 

Hotaru asks, curiously, “I wonder how long this war will last? And how much we will change?”

 

Amara tells Hotaru, “Most likely, firefly, this war will last a long time and we will change a lot before we return home.”

 

Tai tells everyone, in a serious tone, “Maybe we should get back to work. Hopefully, it will take our minds off of home and how long this war has lasted.”

 

Jun nods her head and states, “Yeah, the third Digidestined Armored Division and the fourth Vana'diel Mechanized Division need my aid.”

 

Davis nods his head in agreement and replies, “Good idea.” Davis kisses on Kari on the lips and tells her, “See you later, Hikari-chan.”

 

Kari tells Davis, lovingly, “I will see you later, darling. Just remember we are starting our wedding plans when we come back. It is only a short time before we turn eighteen.”

 

Davis tells Kari, with a smile, “I know, my sweet angel. Later.” Soon after, our heroes and heroines went their separate ways in order to get to their assigned places.

 

(Returning to the borders of the Dark Empire; One day later)

 

In the late morning hours of another day within the borders of the Dark Empire, we find none other than the same evil lord, cloaked in darkness to make sure he is unseen, in front of large desk filled with papers, folders, binders, and computerized Lunar versions of PDA devices. Soon after, he hears the door open and looks to see Queen Beryl herself walking through the door and standing in front of him and the table.

 

The currently nameless evil lord tells Queen Beryl, “Welcome, Beryl. I'm glad that you can come.”

 

Queen Beryl tells the nameless evil lord, in a plain tone, “You know that this isn't a social call, Skoll.”

 

The formerly nameless evil lord, Skoll, tells Beryl, “Yes, I know. You are quite displeased with the duties that you have performed since the murder of Princess Serenity's Earth mother and father.”

 

Queen Beryl tells Skoll, “Actually, it was quite enjoyable killing innocent people on mass for `crimes' against the Dark Empire, having armies destroy entire town, having women raped, and running the most infamous prison that it is known for all types of torture was actually quite enjoyable.”

 

Skoll asks Queen Beryl, “But you actually want more?”

 

Queen Beryl tells Skoll, “Yes, I would love to take that Moon Princess' heart out from her chest while she, that rotten Endymon, her mother, and her friends are watching. As well as rip that Moon Prince and Sun Princess limb from limb.”

 

Skoll tells Queen Beryl, “Actually, there is a chance that you can inflict a major blow to the Moon Prince's heart.”

 

Queen Beryl asks Skoll, perplexed, “What do you mean?”

 

Skoll tells Queen Beryl, “The Galaxy Princess is currently within the city of Galena and organizing the defenses there. The city is near our frontlines and her beloved is currently handling the defenses on an important outpost on a hill over twenty miles away.”

 

Queen Beryl gains a slight evil smirk and says, “Ah, so you want me to kill the beloved of that male moon brat? That sounds pretty delicious to me.”

 

Skoll tells Queen Beryl, “Yes, I do. I'm glad that you agree. You take some of your Negaverse forces to destroy Sailor Galaxy while I will send a diversionary attack on the Moon Prince's position to keep him busy and unable to aid his beloved. When he finds out that his beloved has been killed by you, he will be sent into despair and his ability to fight will be destroyed or he might be sent into darkness himself.”

 

Queen Beryl says, with a wide sly evil grin, “Excellent. It will be a pleasure to see that brat crying and sobbing in pure despair. This should be pretty easy.”

 

Skoll tells Queen Beryl, “Lady Beryl, Sailor Galaxy was one of the most powerful Sailor Senshi back in the Silver Millennium and even through she is among the newest Interdimensional Warriors, she has experienced the ways of war and even through she is still `in-training', she has become a hardened warrior. The humans of your world are nothing, but they have their moments. Remember the human warrior known as Sun Tzu and his `Art of War'. To paraphrase this rare breed of warrior: `Knowledge leads to victory, ignorance leads to defeat'.”

 

Queen Beryl asks Skoll, in an annoyed tone, “Are you saying that I will lose?!”

 

Skoll tells Queen Beryl, in a reassuring tone, “No, I am not. I am just saying that you shouldn't underestimate your enemies. Remember what happened between you and the Moon Princess? Since you underestimated her, she managed to defeat you. It was by the good graces of our great lord that you were saved and sent here, which you have given up loyal and much appreciated services ever since.”

 

Queen Beryl tells Skoll, in a nasty tone, “I'll bet. I can assure you that I won't make the same mistake again.” Queen Beryl turns to leave, but then she says, with a sly tone, “It is quite interesting that your name. With these weakling Earthlings, your name is after that a mythological `demon wolf' that seeks to devour the light and plunge the world into darkness. You are quite the wolf with these women that you keep in your personal harem and you cloak yourself in darkness and not allow any light to shine on you.”

 

Skoll says to Queen Beryl, “These women are nothing, but toys to me, Beryl. They are just for my pleasure and carnal `needs' and desires. And I prefer the darkness to the light.”

 

Queen Beryl tells Skoll, plainly, “Indeed.” Queen Beryl then goes through the door and closes it behind her.

 

Skoll chortles to himself and says, darkly, “You know me too well, Beryl.”

 

(Within another area within Lunar; on the meanwhile)

 

Inside of the darkened room with barely any light, we find hundreds of holographic viewscreens displaying the battlefronts and defensive positions of both sides, viewscreens of our heroes and heroines, and areas controlled by the Dark Empire. In front of all of these viewscreens are dozens of darkly cloaked figures and they continue to stare for several minutes until a light shines down on none other than Chons with his right knee on the ground and his head low.

 

Chons tells the figures, “I have returned as ordered.”

 

One of the figures turns towards Chons and says, in a female voice, “Thank you for doing what we requested of you. We are sorry that we had to force you to use your lover in all of this.”

 

Chons tells the figure, “I doubt that she would understand that it is best for our son, his prince, and the family of the sun and the moon.”

 

The figure tells Chons, “Yes, you know that for the sake of their future and the peace of all existence, this must be done.”

 

Chons asks the figure, “What do wish for me to do?”

 

The figure replies, “The Moon Princess still has a `blackness' in her heart caused by Queen Beryl when she murdered her family. Make sure that the Dark Empire doesn't take advantage of it.”

 

Chons nods his head and replies, “Yes, of course. But do you still intend to take the Sun and Moon Princesses as your own?”

 

The figure nods her head and replies, “Yes, we do. Our kind has stayed behind the lines of Lunar for millennia and it is time that we come into the light. Princess Juniper and Princess Serenity must become our sisters . . . and our queens.”

 

Chons tells the figure, “You know that their mother won't approve of this. She knows a lot about you.”

 

The figure nods her head and states, “It doesn't matter. In order to do what is right, sometimes it requires sacrifice. The former Moon Queen will understand in time. Princess Juniper and Princess Serenity must learn our ways and become our sisters. When the time is right, you will instruct Sailor Pluto to lead them to us.”

 

Chons tells the figure, “Of course.” The light then fades away as Chons turns and leaves the rest of the figures while the figure that spoke to him returns to watching the viewscreens.

 

(Several days later; On top of `Hill 345')

 

On top of the defense position known simply as `Hill 345', we find well-constructed concrete bunkers with modern-day lightweight general purpose machine guns, deep complex trenches and defense earthworks that go underground, deep gun positions within the earthworks and trenches, and finally, there is a huge concrete and steel observation bunker that held every type of high-tech and mystical observation device that could be found. However, deep within the trenches, we find our Digidestined of Miracles and his Digimon partner with Marina, who is wearing the stripes of brigadier general on the shoulders of her military uniform. In the six months since the battles on the Ives River, Marina has been promoted from Colonel to Brigadier General and she had been given a command of military brigade made up of mainly Digidestined and Digimon partner forces, but one of the regiments was from the SeeD forces.

 

Davis tells Marina, “It's good to see that you are still around, Marina.”

 

Marina tells Davis, with a smile, “You're not going to get rid of me that easily, your majesty.”

 

Davis asks Marina, “Anyway, anything big happen since I was last here?”

 

Marina shakes her head and states, “No way. The front has been quite quiet since we've gained possession of this hill.”

 

Veemon tells Marina, “Well, don't get your guard down, yet, Marina. They're not going to take losing much territory so easily.”

 

Davis nods his head in agreement and states, “Yeah, those asshole and we might be in this stalemate, but it is has only been a short time. They can counterattack at anytime.” Just then as if to make Davis' point perfectly clear, a huge explosion from Thundaga attack hits nearby them that nearly knocks them off their feet.

 

Veemon asks, a bit nervously, “Like now for instance?”

 

Davis says, annoyed, “Me and my big royal Lunarian mouth.” Just then a young eighteen year old man with light brown hair and light blue eyes with a black version of Agumon with ruby red eyes runs over to Davis, Veemon, and Marina.

 

The young man asks the three of them, “Your majesty! General Marina! Are the two of you okay?”

 

Davis thinks in his mind, annoyed tone, “When are they going to stop calling me that?!” Davis tells the young man, in a sarcastic tone, “Peachy.”

 

Veemon asks the young man, “Where did that attack come from?!”

 

Marina exclaims, in a serious tone, “Report, Delyn!”

 

The young man, known as Delyn, does a military salute and replies, “It seems like the Dark Empire is sending a good force against. It looks like an army of sixty thousand soldiers with namely Ogres, Dark Knights, Samurai, and a group of Shadow Summoners for support.”

 

Davis says, annoyed tone in his voice, “Typical. We only have two brigades with over ten thousand humanoid troops and around four thousand Digimon partners. Outnumbering us around five to six to one is the usual tactics of the Dark Empire.” Soon after Davis had said this, several more explosions from high-level black magic spell hit near them.

 

Delyn then says, “As well as bombarding us with black magic spells as well.”

 

Davis tells Delyn, in an annoyed tone, “No damn kidding.”

 

Marina tells Delyn, in a serious tone, “Get to the other commanders and tell them to get ready. Right now!”

 

Delyn gives a military salute and replies, “Yes, ma'am!” Delyn then goes through the trenches and earthworks to report to the commanders of the units under Marina's command.

 

Veemon tells Davis, “I guess that we are going to be stuck here for a while.”

 

Davis tells Veemon, “Yeah, Veemon, I got that. I just hope that Kari and the others are going to be okay.”

 

(Inside of the city of Galena; A short time soon after)

 

Within the city of Galena, a city formerly controlled by the Dark Empire, but liberated by the forces of our heroes and heroines around one mouth ago, we can find military engineers hard at work turning the rubble and abandoned building filled city into a military base since it is currently near the frontlines of our heroes' and heroines' armies, which is only two miles from the city limits. Deep inside of the city limits, we find our Digidestined of Miracles' wife-to-be, Hikari Kamiya, riding on Nefertimon's back and observing the repairs to the city that are vital to military defense: The hospitals, the water purification plants, certain `housing districts', the communication centers, and otherwise. Our Digidestined of Light has been put in charge in the rebuilding and defense of the city. It might seem to be a lot to expect from our Galaxy Princess, but in the six months that she has been fighting on Lunar, Kari has grown up as a Sailor Senshi and as a person as well as a future queen. Her training as an Interdimensional Warrior and her combat experience during the six months of war has made her a strong person and a very good fighter. She might not as good as our Moon Prince and Sun Princess, but she has become even better and more skilled than some of the Zodiac Sailor Senshi and the Moon Kingdom Solar Senshi, even through she has less power than they do.

 

Nefertimon tells Kari, “The city has gotten a lot better since we started to rebuild it.”

 

Kari nods her head in agreement and states, “Yeah, Nefertimon. Now, if only the constant bombing of cannons and magic spells would stop. That would make things a lot easier on us.”

 

Nefertimon tells Kari, “Well, as long as we remain close to enemy lines, this city is still going to get blasted.”

 

Kari tells Nefertimon, “I hope that it doesn't take too long to advance. These people need their home back.”

 

Nefertimon tells Kari, “We will find a way to break this stalemate, Kari. Besides you saw what the future is going to be.”

 

Kari tells Nefertimon, “I know, but Trista told us that the past is made in stone and the future is made in glass. If anything happens now, it could throw the future that we saw totally out of what it is supposed to be.”

 

Nefertimon tells Kari, “Well, as long as we continue to battle, fight as hard as we can, and believe in ourselves, we won't fail.” Soon after, Kari motions for Nefertimon to land on the ground and when Nefertimon's paws are on the ground, Kari leaps off Nefertimon's back and puts her feet to the ground. Nefertimon asks Kari, “Why did you want me to land on the ground, Kari?”

 

Kari tells Nefertimon, “It is such a nice day in the city for once that I thought that I would walk.”

 

Nefertimon tells Kari, “Well, don't enjoy is bit of peace for too long. Remember, sooner or later, the Dark Empire is going to come knocking again.”

 

Kari tells Nefertimon, “I know, Nefertimon, but I would like to enjoy this bit of peace for once. I hope that Dai-chan is relaxing from where he is.”

 

Nefertimon tells Kari, “Most likely, he is planning your wedding with him.”

 

Kari giggles and says, “Yeah, you are right, Nefertimon! And he is picturing me in my wedding dress!”

 

Nefertimon tells Kari, sarcastically, “Why would he do that? He already saw you naked and in bed with him!”

 

Kari tells Nefertimon, scolding, “Nefertimon!”

 

Nefertimon asks Kari, perplexed, “What? He has Kari. I mean, you and he have already slept in the same bed.”

 

Kari tells Nefertimon, in a plain tone, “Yeah, you are right, but I hope that you didn't tell anyone. Tai would blow his top that I had sex before I got married.”

 

Nefertimon tells Kari, “No, I haven't. However, I have a feeling that Queen Serenity does suspect something.”

 

Kari tells Nefertimon, with a smile, “I'm not surprised. She is Davis' mother after all and Queen Serenity is very wise and perceptive.”

 

Nefertimon tells Kari, “That's right, Kari. But I keep wondering why she didn't say anything to you or Davis about it.”

 

Kari shrugs her shoulders and says, “Queen Serenity's reasons are her own. I just hope that Daisuke is having a good rest where he is.” Just then a military type jeep pulls up to Kari and Nefertimon. Coming out of the jeep, a Vana'diel army officer runs over to Kari and Nefertimon.

 

Vana'diel military officer gives a military salute and says, “Are you Princess Hikari, the commanding officer here in Galena?”

 

Kari replies, a bit nervously, “Yes, I am.”

 

Vana'diel officer tells Kari, “We have a report from `Hill 345'. They are under attack from a small army sent by the Dark Empire.”

 

Kari says, worriedly, “Oh no! Daisuke is up there!”

 

The Vana'diel officer tells Kari, “Lady Serenity's son is up with the forces defending the hill, but I can assure you that he is all right and the troops on the hill are holding firm.”

 

Nefertimon tells Kari, “He seems to be all right.”

 

Kari takes out her transformation brooch and says, “I won't be satisfied until I see for myself. Let's go help them.”

 

Nefertimon nods her head and replies, “Right.”

 

Kari asks the army officer, in a serious tone, “Can you handle yourselves without me?”

 

The army officer nods his head and tells her, “You can be assured ma'am that no one will get past our defenses.” However, just then a huge explosion from a powerful black magic attack slams nearby, throwing Kari and Nefertimon off their feet causing Nefertimon to de-digivolve back into Gatomon. Kari is stunned for a few moments, but she quickly regains her senses and balance as well as picking up her transformation brooch from the ground in front of her. She checks herself over to see if she is injured and when she finds that she isn't hurt, she looks over to Gatomon, who has gotten to all fours and shakes her head, regaining her senses.

 

Kari asks Gatomon, “Are you okay, Gatomon?”

 

Gatomon replies, “Yeah, just got the wind knocked out of me.”

 

Kari and Gatomon look over to the army officer, see that he is lying on the ground, and Kari says, “He's hurt!” When Kari and Gatomon get to his side, they find that he has a bloody gash along the left side of his face. Kari then calls out, “Cura!” Kari then sends white healing energy into the injured officer, taking care of his injuries, and restoring his health.

 

The army officer got to a sitting position and tells Kari, “Thank you, ma'am. What was that?”

 

Gatomon replies, “An explosion from a black magic attack. Here we go again.”

 

The army officer says, annoyed, “When are they going to give up? We've had this town for around five months and held it successfully. They are not getting it back.”

 

Gatomon tells the army officer, “You sound quite confident.”

 

The army officer replies, as all three of them get to their feet, “Yes, ma'am. Ever since our victories on the Ives River, we realized that we can fight the Dark Empire on their terms and our terms.”

 

Kari tells the army officer, as they move back to the jeep, in which they find the officer driving the jeep stunned, but not hurt, “Well, we had better not get overconfident. We might have surprised them, but the Dark Empire is far from finished.”

 

As if on cue, another jeep pulls up, a SeeD officer inside and exclaims, “Princess Hikari, we are under attack by a huge force! There are four hundred thousand regular army soldiers from the Dark Army!”

 

Kari says, simply, “That's very weird. We have ten divisions of Digidestined Expeditionary Force, which is a total of one hundred and fifty hundred thousand Digidestined and the same amount of Digimon along twenty divisions of the Vana'diel and SeeD forces, which is another three hundred thousand soldiers. We have six hundred thousand soldiers, here.”

 

The Vana'diel army officer says, with a perplexed tone, “Hold it! That's not usual Dark Empire army tactics. They make sure that they outnumber us! I don't like this!”

 

The SeeD officer says, in a serious tone, “You shouldn't! Because there is a huge amount of Negaverse youma with them! Around eight hundred thousand of them are heading straight for us along with the Dark Army soldiers! Queen Beryl is leading them!”

 

Kari exclaims, shocked, “Beryl?!”

 

The SeeD officer nods his head and says, “You can't miss that overgrown witch! She is using some kind of anti-gravity magic or something to float through the air.”

 

Kari then shouts out, in commanding tone, “Get to the communication and report our situation! Get help if possible!”

 

The officers in front of Kari give a military salute and exclaim in unison, “Yes, ma'am!” Soon after, the Vana'diel army officer gets back on the jeep that he came in and both jeeps took off for the nearest command center in the city as multiple explosions began to rain all over the city.

 

Kari tells Gatomon, “It's time to go to work.” Gatomon nods her head in agreement as Kari holds her transformation brooch close to her heart.

 

“Galaxy Celestial Power, Make-up!”

 

Kari's transformation brooch opens up and engulfs our Digidestined of Light in rainbow colored light as her clothes melt away. When the light fades away, Celestial Sailor Galaxy stands in place of Kari Kamiya and soon after, Kari's new digivice gives off a bright glow along with her tag and crest.

Angewomon asks Sailor Galaxy, “Ready to go, Kari?”

 

Sailor Galaxy nods her head and replies, “Ready as I will ever be.” The two of them then fly off towards the frontlines and prepared to aid the soldiers that were getting for the two to one battle against them.

 

(Two miles west from the city of Galena; A brief time soon after)

 

Just two miles west of the city of Galena, we find extensive earthworks and trenches that are under attack from around 400,000 Dark Empire soldiers, which consisted of Ogres, Elvaans, Mithra, and Humes, and 800,000 youma from the Negaverse. All of these forces are under the lead of Queen Beryl, the leader of the Negaverse and disciple of the Negaforce. She leads her forces, which are 1.2 million strong, against exactly 600,000 Digidestined, Digimon, and Lunar forces, but even through the numbers are two against one, it wasn't a one-sided battle. As we head into the battlefield, we find the Dark Army troops moving their armor and infantry through a huge amount of anti-tank, machine gun, and black magic `fire' as the defending force fight with incredible, nearly fanatical, ferocity. For the soldiers of Vana'diel regular army and SeeD, they had suffered years of stuck within their own city and having to suffer putting their own citizens in danger by fighting within or just outside city wall. And now, managing to take territory back from the Dark Empire and fighting away from the city, protecting the civilians from the attacks, the determination to defeat the Dark Empire, the confidence gained from their victories in the past six months, made the Vana'diel soldiers, regular army and SeeD forces, determined to win. The Vana'diel army's new motto is `Not one inch' and SeeD's new motto is simply `Never again'. The Digidestined Expeditionary Forces, who have trained and fought on Lunar for six months, were just as determined as their Lunar counterparts. They knew if Lunar was lost, their world, Earth, would be among those attacked and possible ravaged by the Dark Empire and they are determined to defend their homes, their families, and their friends at all costs, human and Digimon alike, to stop them. Even through it has only been six months on their time on Lunar, they were already hardened veterans and they weren't ready to give up without a terrible fight. Which is why that we see the battlefield is full of explosions, gun fire, and magical attack/explosions in the whole of the earthwork and trenches as ferocious fighting is found everywhere on the battlefield.

 

The instant that the enemy soldiers get through the DEF, Vana'diel, and SeeD defense line's first level of defense, barbed wire, they have to get through minefields, black magic spells, and machine gun fire with the machine gunners firing until their machine gun's barrels became so hard that they had no choice, but to change barrels. However, Vana'diel and SeeD use general purpose machine guns with quick-change barrels and their machine guns are firing with half-a-minute. And even through the Dark Empire and Negaverse soldiers get to the trenches, something happened that they didn't expect. For years, the Dark Empire soldiers only fought against resistance that usually ran unless in their home territories, like the Vana'diel soldiers and their home territory. They were surprised by the attack, defense, and victories at Ives River and the advances during the past six months, but because they couldn't get their forces organized. And during the stalemate, the Dark Empire and their allied forces just blasted and raided the enemy lines to `soften them up' for a full counterattack. Even at this point, they didn't expect Vana'diel and SeeD force along with `kids' and their `digital pets' to be a threat.

 

However, on this day, they would be proven wrong, much to their shock and horror. When the Dark Empire and Negaverse forces entered the defensive trenches and earthworks of DEF and Vana'diel, they were savagely counter-attacking the instant they get into the trenches. They snuck up from behind and slit their enemies throats with knifes or swords, blast them at close range with pistols, assault rifles, and even machine guns as well as high-level magic spell meant for groups of enemies, and down to hands, feet, knees, and claws, if the humanoid had those appendages. The battles in the trenches and earthworks became a true war scene with one-on-one and hand-to-hand savage fighting with every inch of ground becoming littered in crimson red, eerie green, and purplish-black, from the youma, blood from both sides.

 

Scenes of this played out all over the battlefield, we head into one area of the trenches and earthwork where we find a young seventeen year old girl with pink dyed hair flowing down to her buttocks, light violet eyes, having a sparkling emerald green and purple D-3 attached to her belt, and wearing a military uniform. With her was a huge MetalTyrannomon, who was using his clawed hands and feet along with his laser weapon, who was fighting against multiple youma while the young Digidestined female fended off the enemy soldiers against her with a knife and Colt M1911A1 pistol, which has .45 caliber ammo in a seven-round magazine. This young DEF soldier fires her seven-round magazines in quick session and change magazines in very quick fashion.

 

However, she soon hears MetalTyrannomon shout out, “Yah! Casey, help!” The young female Digidestined turns to see her partner being swarmed by six youma and they are ready to sink their claws into MetalTyrannomon.

 

Casey takes out her D-3 digivice and exclaims, “Hey, freaks! Taste this!” Casey goes over to her Digimon partner and her D-3 blasts the youma with intense and powerful light causing them to scream out in pain as they squirm off MetalTyrannomon.

 

MetalTyrannomon roars out, seriously, “Payback time!” MetalTyrannomon raises his right foot and brings it down on the six youma, squashing them flat. However, Casey screams out as she is hit by a powerful Thunder attack by a Dark Knight in her back and she falls to the ground. Before MetalTyrannomon can help his partner, the Dark Knight, a Hume, jumps into the trench and is upon Casey. The Dark Knight tries to impale her with his sword, but she manages to dodge and quickly get to her feet. When he turns to meet her, he find himself staring into the barrel of her Colt .45 pistol in her right hand which has only one shot left. But all she needed was that one shot. BAM!! Casey fires at the Dark Knight point-blank right through the eyes and the shot goes right through his head, splattering blood and brains all over the ground and Casey's military shirt. After that `event' is over, Casey drops her pistol as the Dark Knight's body falls to the ground in a bloody heap. She could only stare at the Dark Knight's body, which had his head mainly blow clear off.

 

Casey could only say, horrified, “Oh my god . . .”

 

MetalTyrannomon looks down at his partner and asks her, “Casey, are you okay?” However, his attention is diverted when he sees a huge amount of youma and Dark Knights moving forward with the Dark Knight's ready to attack. MetalTyrannomon shouts out, “Casey, stay down!”

 

“Nuclear Laser!”

 

MetalTyrannomon fires a beam of red nuclear energy in a laser form at the enemy forces heading for him and his Digidestined partner and totally incinerate them. All over the earthworks and trenches of the battlefield, similar and even more savage situations are playing. A Paladin and a Dark Knight, both lost their swords, were at each other's throats with magic spells and their fists, ninjas sneaking up and killing each other with quick stealth strikes, monks battering each other with their fists, and shooting and blasting with magic spells at each other at near point-blank ranges. All across the battlefield, two miles from Galena, the forces of Vana'diel, SeeD, and the Digidestined Expeditionary Force were sending a clear message to their enemy. The message was in plain form: `You want this town? Over our dead bodies'.

 

(Some distance from the `front lines'; On the meanwhile)

 

Some distance from the murderous battle happening in the trenches and earthworks, we find Queen Beryl with a huge assembly of officers in a tent that's near the battle. She thought that events would be usual from humans and humanoid creatures that she had faced in the past, like back on the Silver Millennium on Earth and the planetary kingdoms of Mercury through Pluto for example, they would ever run away, cower in fear to surrender at her feet, or if they fought, they would be over run and destroyed. And Queen Beryl thought that this time would be no different, but this time, based on the immediate reports, she figured out that this wasn't the case. From what she is hearing, the Vana'diel, SeeD, and especially the Digidestined and Digimon of the DEF were fighting savagely and they were losing huge numbers for every single millimeter of ground that they took and in some place, they lose the ground within seconds that they just gained. They weren't doing any of the things that Queen Beryl thought would happen. They were fighting, savagely at times, and they were beating them on equal terms even through they were outnumbered two to one.

 

Queen Beryl thinks, in deep anger and annoyance, “Damn it! These modern day humans and humanoids fight a lot better and harder than I thought! Especially those `Digidestined' brats and their `digital pets'! This isn't their world, but they are fight as if it is! They know that people like me will ravage their world if we win on Lunar, so, they are fighting just as or even harder than the soldiers of Vana'diel. But it doesn't matter, I won't let people like those `kids' stop me from getting my revenge on the children of Queen Serenity and Earth!”

 

Just then one of the officers, a male Tarutaru of mid-40s age and wearing an officer uniform comes up to Queen Beryl, bows, and states, nervously, “Lady Beryl!”

 

Queen Beryl tells the officer, “Report!”

 

The Tarutaru officer tells Queen Beryl, nervously, “The . . . The news from the front isn't good! We've already suffered thirty-six percent casualties and we haven't even captured one-quarter of their defensive lines. The Vana'diel, SeeD, and those `Digidestined' forces are fighting with unbelievable hard and won't give up without a fight! We can't move one millimeter without taking casualties!”

 

Queen Beryl roars out, angrily, “I don't care! Even if they have already lost arms and legs, they will take those positions! In order to get to the city and allowing us to cut into their `liberated' territories is to get to Galena, which is just only two miles away!”

 

The Tarutaru officer tells Queen Beryl, “I don't mean to seem like that I'm `defying' you or `countering' your orders, but we underestimated their defenses and we don't know how strong their defenses in the city are already.”

 

Queen Beryl tells the Tarutaru officer, angrily, “I don't care! Even if we lose nearly all of our forces, we will take that city! We will not lose to them! I'm the queen of the Negaverse and I will not lose to a bunch of humans!”

 

The Tarutaru officer then tries to say, “But Lady Beryl . . .!!” Just then a huge shot is heard and the Tarutaru is shot through the back of the head with a high-powered snipe rifle shot. The Tarutaru officer falls down to the ground dead and with blood pooling out of the wounds put in his hand.

 

Queen Beryl says, annoyed, “Annoying snipers.” Queen Beryl looks around to see where the shot came from, sees the sniper when he gets off another shot, but before the bullet reaches her, Queen Beryl stops it with her physic powers and crushes the bullet into nothing. Queen Beryl then fires a sphere of dark energy at the sniper and the sniper ducks before the attack reached him, but it caused such a powerful explosion that if he wasn't dead, he was seriously injured and unable to fight for the moment.

 

Just then another officer calls out, “Lady Beryl! Sailor Galaxy has been spotted in the eastern portion of the battle. She has arrived with Angewomon!”

 

Queen Beryl says, with a sly and evil grin, “And long last . . .” Queen Beryl exclaims, in a serious tone, “I don't want this battle to end until that city is taken from those weaklings! I'm heading out to take care of that bitch!”

 

All of the officers call out in unison, “Yes, Lady Beryl!”

 

Queen Beryl then points to the dead Tarutaru officer and says, “And clean this mess up by the time I return.” Queen Beryl then floats gently above the ground and floats off to where Sailor Galaxy is positioned.

 

(Elsewhere on the battlefield; Sometime soon after)

 

In another area of the battle, there are 4,500 Digidestined and Vana'diel humanoid forces with around 1,000 Digimon, Champion to Mega level, against around 11,000 Dark Empire soldiers and Negaverse youma, but there are plenty of humanoid and youma dead and wounded along with Digimon wounded. If there are any Digimon that were killed, they already turned into data particles and are starting to get reformatted. In this desperate and savage battle, we find Sailor Galaxy and Angewomon lending as much support as they can give.

 

“Heaven's Charm!”

 

“Galaxy Starlight Aurora!”

 

Angewomon launches a wave of powerful holy energy, but this attack is twice as strong as her usual Heaven's Charm attack and it takes out around fifteen youma in one strike. Sailor Galaxy launches spheres of starlight and aurora energy right approaching Dark Empire and Negaverse force and she manages to take out around forty youma and at least disable twenty-one humanoid members of the Dark Empire.

 

Angewomon tells Sailor Galaxy, “Nice shot, Kari!”

 

Sailor Galaxy tells Angewomon, “Thanks, Angewomon! But this day isn't over, yet!”

 

Just then a familiar evil female voice shouts out, “But it is for you!” Soon after, a huge lightning bolt crashes into Sailor Galaxy and she screams out in pain as she is sent plummeting towards the ground.

 

Angewomon shouts out, shocked, “Kari!” Angewomon looks to the source of the attack to see none other than Queen Beryl of the Negaverse floating in front of her. Angewomon says, horrified, “You're Queen Beryl of the Negaverse! The one that killed Kari, Davis, Jun, and Serena back in the Silver Millennium and killed Serena's Earth mother and father!”

 

Queen Beryl says, with an evil grin, “Yes, I am the very same! And now, it is time to get rid of that princess, once and for all!”

 

Angewomon tells Queen Beryl, in a serious tone, “You won't lay one hand on Kari!”

 

“Celestial Arrow!”

 

Angewomon launches an arrow of pure white light right at the Negaverse queen, but when it nearly reaches Queen Beryl, it is negated by some kind of mystical energy field.

 

Angewomon says, shocked, “It can't be!”

 

Queen Beryl tells Angewomon, nastily, “Foolish creature! Do you think that you can beat me?! Be gone!” Queen Beryl then hits Angewomon with a powerful shockwave that sends into the roof of a nearby building in Galena, nearly knocking her out. Queen Beryl then goes towards the ground and lands in front of Sailor Galaxy, who has managed to get to her feet.

 

Sailor Galaxy states, in a nasty tone, “What do you want Beryl?”

 

Queen Beryl replies, in a dark and serious tone, “Simple, princess: Your destruction!”

 

Sailor Galaxy tells Queen Beryl, in a serious tone, “I don't think so, Beryl! I don't plan on dying anytime before my wedding!”

 

Queen Beryl states, with a nasty tone and sly grin, “Sorry, Galaxy brat, but your wedding with that male moon bastard is about to be cancelled . . . with your death!”

 

Sailor Galaxy says, in a serious tone, “We'll see about that.”

 

Queen Beryl exclaims, in a strong and dark tone, “Yes, I will . . . I will see your scream out in agony and pain as you die!” Queen Beryl then launches a powerful dark shockwave that knocks Sailor Galaxy off her feet. Queen Beryl yells out, in a dark tone, “Die!” Queen Beryl then fires a powerful dark sphere of energy at our Digidestined of Light, but she quickly gets to her feet and creates a shield that manages to negate the Negaverse queen's attack with great amounts of ease.

 

Queen Beryl gives a look of shock and Sailor Galaxy says, with a sly grin, “Sorry, Beryl, but I'm not making my funeral plans just yet. You see, I've learned a few `tricks' since we last saw each other. Courtesy of my Dai-chan! Like this one for example!” Sailor Galaxy roars out as she slams her right foot into the ground, creating a huge boulder that literally leaps into the air, and using her spiritual aura, thrusts the boulder towards Queen Beryl at high speed, but Queen Beryl manages to put up a shield up in time to protect herself from the attack. However, Queen Beryl barely managed to do it in time and she had to shield her eyes from the attack to do so.

 

Queen Beryl roars out, with a sly grin and evil tone, “Ha! It will take more than Earth-bending to defeat me!” However, when Queen Beryl looks back in Sailor Galaxy's direction, she finds that she has a huge sphere of aqua-blue energy right at her face.

 

Sailor Galaxy says, with a wide smirk, “Okay, how about this?!” As she prepares to attack, Queen Beryl gives a loud gasp in shock and horror.

 

“Big Bang Kamehameha!”

 

Sailor Galaxy launches a wave of aqua-blue energy and Queen Beryl screams out in pain as the attack hits her point-blank causing a dome of aqua-blue to form around her that sends Sailor Galaxy high into the air. When Sailor Galaxy regains her senses, she looks down to the see the dome of energy fade away, leaving a huge crater in its place.

 

Sailor Galaxy blushes in embarrassment and says, “Oops. I might have overdone it with that attack.”

 

However, Queen Beryl's voice booms, “Oh, you did it all right!” Sailor Galaxy gasps in shock and turns to the source of the Negaverse queen's voice, but only to get slammed in the chest with a pitch black negative energy sphere that sends her plummeting onto the roof of a nearby building, causing the roof to greatly crack when her form hits the rooftop. Sailor Galaxy moans out in pain as Queen Beryl, badly smoking and bleeding from the lip, lands on the roof as well. Queen Beryl says, angrily, “Do you think that a pathetic sneak attack like that would destroy me?! I am Queen Beryl, ruler of the Negaverse, and you are just another pathetic Sailor brat like that rotten Moon Princess and her jackass elder Sun Princess sister.”

 

Sailor Galaxy coughs, having the wind knocked out of her when she hit the roof, flips her on all fours, gets to a sitting position, and asks, plainly, “And you kissed your mother with that mouth?”

 

Queen Beryl tells Sailor Galaxy, “So, you think that you are funny, huh? You are just like that bastard Moon Prince and like him, soon enough, I'm putting you out of your misery.”

 

Sailor Galaxy tells Queen Beryl, “Don't count me out, yet, Beryl.”

 

Queen Beryl prepares another negative energy sphere and replies, with an evil grin, “Why not?”

 

Sailor Galaxy exclaims, in a plain tone, “This is why!” Sailor Galaxy slams her staff onto the roof, causing it to crumble, and before Queen Beryl could react, she and Sailor Galaxy went sent plummeting into the building. They fell down three floor, smashing through a few wooden floors/roofs to do so, and on the fourth floor of their fall, all of the rumble crashing onto the floor, but the floor doesn't cave in like the others. There is a lot of smoke and debris, but some of its flung away to reveal our Negaverse queen, badly scratching on her neck and lower arms, but otherwise all right.

 

Queen Beryl exclaims, with a sly grin and nasty tone, “Ha! Nice try, Princess Hikari! You just got yourself buried in rubble rather than me! This makes my job simpler!”

 

Sailor Galaxy's voice then booms, “Is that what you think, Beryl?” Queen Beryl gasps in shock and then Sailor Galaxy appears in front of Queen Beryl through Sailor Teleport. She swings her staff into Queen Beryl's chest, knocking the wind out of her, and sending her right out the window, screaming down as she slams right into the concrete pavement of Galena. Sailor Galaxy leaps out of the broken window after her and does some hand signs. On the meanwhile, Queen Beryl with her back to the greatly cracked ground, which was caused by her fall, weakly opens her eyes slightly to see Sailor Galaxy floating down towards the edge of the crater. When Sailor Galaxy lands in front of Beryl's fallen form, she says, in a serious tone, “You're not going to defeat me that easy, Beryl. Why don't you give up?”

 

Queen Beryl's nails become deadly claws, before Sailor Galaxy could react, Queen Beryl impales her in the chest with them, and she exclaims, angrily, “I will never surrender to a pathetic Sailor brat like you! Do you think that you can outsmart me?!” Just then `Sailor Galaxy' vanishes right in front of Queen Beryl in a puff of smoke causing the evil queen's eyes to widen in shock.

 

Sailor Galaxy's voice then booms from her left, in a confident tone not heard in her before she became a Senshi, “Actually, I do.” Queen Beryl looks up and to her left to see Sailor Galaxy aiming her staff at her.

 

“Galaxy Celestial Charm!”

 

Soon after, Sailor Galaxy's staff launches two waves of rainbow energy in a similar form to Angewomon's Heaven's Charm attack. Queen Beryl screams out in pain as the attack hits her and sends her smoking and flying back some distance away from our Digidestined of Light, crashing on the concrete with terrific force and covering the evil queen in smoke and dust.

 

Sailor Galaxy lands on the ground, takes a deep breath, and says, “Now, I know how Daisuke feels when he or Jun faced her.”

 

Queen Beryl's voice then booms, with extreme anger in her tone, “The only thing that you will feel is pain before I'm done with you!” Just then a huge amount of dark negative energy comes out from the smoke and dust and Sailor Galaxy doesn't have time to bring up a defense as the negative energy spheres slam into her. Sailor Galaxy screams out in pain as the attack rips into her uniform and her body. Soon enough, the attacks cause one powerful tremendous explosion and sent Sailor Galaxy's unconscious form hurtling 300 yards into the air and nearly one mile backwards. For what seems like an eternity, Sailor Galaxy's unconscious form slams into the ground with a sickening `thud', greatly cracking the ground around her and her staff rolls away from her limp hand. Queen Beryl comes out of the smoke and dust, greatly burned and with multiple bleeding cuts, and her dress was torn in many place, but not in any place that makes her look indecent. Queen Beryl then teleports to Sailor Galaxy's stunned form, using her left hand to grab her by her sailor neck-collar, lifts her into the air as high as she can, and exclaims, “Do you think that a `rookie' like you could defeat me?! Ha! The bratty Sailor Scouts of Serenity's were more trouble than you! Now, it is time to die. And when you die, your beloved will be thrown into despair and when he loses the will to fight, I will kill him with my bare hands! Don't worry, you will be together . . . in the afterlife!” Queen Beryl pulls her right hand back, prepares to summon all of the dark powers from the negative forces of the Negaverse and the Dark Empire she had been given, and prepares to finish Sailor Galaxy off.

 

Sailor Galaxy thinks in her mind, “Is this how it all ends? I was about to marry my love in a few months and now, I'm going to die! And worse of all, I'm going to die by this bitch's hands! But there is nothing I can do!”

 

Just then Davis' voice shouts out in her mind, “Kari, I know you can do it!”

 

Sailor Galaxy thinks in her mind, surprised, “Dai-chan?”

 

Just then Rei's voice booms in her mind, “Yeah, girl! Your boyfriend is right! You can beat this bitch! Meatball Head and we did so long ago and you can too!”

 

Lita's voice comes into her mind, exclaiming, “So, what if she is stronger than before?! You are Sailor Galaxy, one of the most powerful Sailor Senshi in the universe!”

 

Mina's voice calls out, “You might have been awakened later than we have, but that doesn't mean you are just as powerful as we are! Believe in yourself and I know that you can beat this wrench's butt!”

 

TK's voice shouts out in her mind, “Davis and the girls are right, Kari! You are one of the strongest people that I know! Just as strong as Davis is! It is just that Davis has tapped into his `inner strength' more than you have! But I know that you are just as much as Davis already has or will have! You just need to bring it out!”

 

Davis' voice exclaims in Kari's mind, “That's right, love! I know you can do it! Reach down inside and bring it out! We're counting on you, Hikari-chan!”

 

Just then images of all of her friends and family form in her mind and they exclaim into her mind in unison, “We're all waiting for you, Kari! You can do it!”

 

Sailor Galaxy then thinks, her confidence surging, “I don't know if they were real or not, but they're right! I can't just give up! They're counting on me to win! Dai-chan, my onii-chan, Tai, and my friends are waiting for me! I can't let them down! I WON'T LET THEM DOWN!!” Just then Sailor Galaxy's entire form begins to glow with a bright rainbow light, confusing Queen Beryl right out of her wits. Just then Sailor Galaxy's body emits a huge burst of energy that slams into Queen Beryl, causing her to drop Sailor Galaxy and sends her flying nearly a mile backwards. She manages to right herself and look back to see Sailor Galaxy slowly rising to her feet. When Queen Beryl looks into Sailor Galaxy's eyes, she is flabbergasted to see new determination and strength in them never seen in her before.

 

Queen Beryl thinks in her mind, “What's going on here?! I had her in the palm of my hand! And now, she looks to be even more powerful than ever!”

 

Sailor Galaxy says, in a powerful and commanding version of her voice, “Beryl, I won't let you harm a hair on the man that I love! And this time, this battle won't be a repeat of what happened in the Silver Millennium! You aren't going to hurt anyone else anymore! They're too many people counting on me and waiting for me to return and I'm not going to let them down! Not now and not ever!” Sailor Galaxy's brooch opens, her rainbow colored crystal comes out, and Sailor Galaxy transforms into her royal form of Princess Hikari expect she has four huge and fluffy rainbow colored angel wings coming out of her back.

 

Queen Beryl's expression turns from surprise to anger, she gathers a huge amount of negative energy into her hands, and roars out, angrily and darkly, “I will not be defeated by you, Galaxy bitch! I killed you once and I can do it again!”

 

Princess Hikari yells out, in a strong and commanding tone not seen in her before, “No, Beryl! This time, you don't have anyone to poison me with a sneak attack!”

 

Queen Beryl roars out, angrily, “I don't need anyone to destroy you!” Soon after, the ground surrounding Beryl turns into a column of earth that raises four stories into the air and Queen Beryl shouts out, in a dark serious tone, “Now, die, Galaxy wrench! Die!” Queen Beryl then launches the negative energy blast towards our Digidestined of Light.

 

Princess Hikari roars out, in a serious tone, “Not this time, Beryl!” Princess Hikari fires a rainbow colored beam of energy from her crystal and the two energy beams meet mid-way in a huge explosion that gives off a sound like a shot being fired from a battleship cannon. For the next three minutes, the two energy beams struggled for superiority with neither combatant giving an inch and neither beam of power giving an inch away. The shockwaves from the clash of powers caused the ground for thirty miles to shake and all of the windows in Galena that were still intact to shatter into tiny pieces. However, by the end of the three minutes, neither combatant had gained any `ground' on the other.

 

Just then Davis' voice shouts out in her mind, “Believe in yourself, Kari! I know that you have power to turn this bitch into moon dust! I know you can do it!”

 

Princess Hikari thinks in her mind, in a determined tone, “I do, believe, Dai-chan! I believe in myself, I believe in my friends, and I believe what I'm fighting for! Now, I show Beryl what it means to mess with my friends and those that I love!” Princess Hikari's crystal starts to glow with more power than before as her `inner strength' and confident rapidly rise and Princess Hikari shouts out, in a serious tone, “This ends right now, Beryl! Celestial Cosmic Galaxy Power!” Princess Hikari then fires even stronger beam than before that transforms into the shape of a dragon and with loud roar, rockets through Queen Beryl's attack, naturalizing it.

 

Queen Beryl screams out as the attack heads straight for her, “NO! NO! THIS CAN'T BE! I CAN'T LOSE TO YOU! I CAN'T! THIS CAN'T BE HAPPENING! YOU CAN'T . . . AAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!” Soon after, the powerful rainbow beam of light and energy engulfs the evil queen and she screams in the most extreme pain and agony as the attack sends her high into air and causing a huge sphere of rainbow energy to be created from the explosion that causes 3.0 earthquake all around the area. When the explosion dies down and the smoke and dust clear, there is no sign of Queen Beryl. Princess Hikari collapses to her knees and breathes heavily, her energy nearly exhausted from using the powers of her kingdom's treasure.

 

However, Princess Hikari smiles and says, weakly, “I did . . . I did it . . . I . . . actually . . . did it . . . I knew . . . I knew I can do it . . .” But then Princess Hikari falls backwards as she faints and before her vision totally fades, she can see Angewomon heading towards her.

 

“KARI!” Angewomon calls out and soon after, Princess Hikari's world turns dark as she faints onto the ground.

 

(Days later; Somewhere within the area of Galena)

 

Our Digidestined of Light slowly opens her eyes to see that there is a tiled ceiling above and remembering what just happened, she quickly opens her eyes and whips into a sitting position. Quickly she discovers that she has transformed back from Princess Hikari into Hikari Kamiya and she was wearing a hospital gown instead her normal clothes.

 

Just then a familiar male voice says, lovingly, “I'm glad that you are okay, angel.” Kari turns to her left to see a smiling Daisuke Motomiya looking straight at her.

 

Kari asks Davis, “Davis? Where am I?”

 

Davis tells Kari, “You are inside of military hospital in Galena. Angewomon brought you here after you collapsed.”

 

Kari asks, perplexed, “Collapsed?” Kari then remembered what happened and she exclaims, panicky, “Oh my god! What happened to Beryl?! Did we win?!”

 

Davis motions for Kari to calm down and exclaims, “Whoa! Whoa! Calm down, Hikari-chan! Take it easy! You really wore yourself out when you used your crystal.”

 

Kari calms down and says, “Yeah, I remember. I transformed into my `royal form', summoned my crystal's power, and sent Beryl into the air. But I don't remember anything that happened after that. I was so weak after that . . . everything went black.”

 

Davis tells Kari, “That's because you used up so much energy using your crystal's power. Angewomon brought you here to recover from the energy drain. She told me about what happened between you and Beryl.”

 

Kari asks Davis, “When did you get here Daisuke?”

 

Davis tells Kari, with a smile, “Shortly after the battle where I was ended. I managed to figure out that the attack where I was currently at was a decoy when I got the message on the attack on Galena. I had arrived shortly your battle with Beryl ended, but Veemon and I only had `moping up' to do. We already had won the battle when I arrived. Soon after, I learned about what happened between you and Beryl when Angewomon flew over to tell me and Veemon. I immediately came here and stayed by your side as you recovered your energy.”

 

Kari smiles and tells Davis, lovingly, “Thank you, Daisuke.”

 

Davis tells Kari, in the same loving tone and putting his hands on Kari's left hand, “I wouldn't know what I would do without you.”

 

Kari asks Davis, “How long was I out?”

 

Davis becomes quickly nervous about this and replies, “Actually, angel, I don't know how to say this, but . . . you have been out for a week.”

 

Kari exclaims, shocked, “A week?!”

 

Davis says, with a nervous smile and tone, “Yeah, that's how badly you were drained.”

 

Kari tells Davis, “Whoa. I didn't know that I used so much energy.”

 

Davis smile and tells Kari, excitedly, “Yeah, but I was really amazed to hear what you did! It was awesome, Kari! You kicked that overgrown bitch's butt clear into the next millennium! It was awesome! Angewomon told me and the others the same thing!”

 

Kari asks Davis, shocked, “The others are here?!”

 

Jun's voice then calls out, “Well, you have been out for a week, you know.” Kari and Davis turn to the source of the voice to see Gatomon and Veemon leading the rest of our heroes and heroines towards Kari's bed.

 

Rei says, with a smile, “Well, it looks like our new hero just woke up.”

 

Gatomon jumps onto Kari's bed, goes into Kari's arms, and she exclaims, “Oh, Kari! I'm so glad that you are okay!”

 

Kari tells Gatomon, “Don't worry, Gatomon! I'm just fine!”

 

Ken tells Kari, “Well, you did give us a bit of a scare when we found out. Tai was crashing through guards, nurses, and doctors to get to you.”

 

Kari asks, surprised, “Tai did that for me?”

 

Tai tell Ken, drolly, “Thanks a lot, Ken.”

 

Serena tells Kari, “We're just glad that you are okay.”

 

Mina goes up to Kari and exclaims, “Well, girlfriend, you've really proven yourself a true Sailor Senshi today!”

 

Lita nods her head in agreement and replies, “Yeah, defeating Beryl by yourself isn't a small feat.”

 

Rei points to Serena and says, teasingly, “Yeah, it took Meatball Head calling on Ami's, Mina's, Lita's, and my spirits to add our powers to hers to defeat her!”

 

Serena yells at Rei, annoyed, “I could have defeated her by myself, pyro!”

 

Rei replies, in a sly tone, “Yeah, right, `your majesty'!”

 

Serena roars out, angrily, and then Kari says, in a plain tone, “Actually, I wasn't alone.”

 

Everyone looks at Kari, confused, and TK asks Kari, “What do you mean, Kari? Angewomon told us that you faced Beryl by yourself.”

 

Kari tells everyone else, “I don't know how to explain it, but I knew that all of you were with me. Even if it was just in spirit. Deep down, I felt Dai-chan and all of you cheering me on and encouraging me, giving me strength, and that strength fed into my crystal, giving me and my crystal the power to defeat Beryl.”

 

Everyone was amazed by this and Mimi says, pretty amazed, “Wow, that's amazing, Kari.”

 

Davis tells Kari, lovingly, “I'm just glad that you are all right.” Davis kisses Kari on the lips and Kari blushes widely.

 

Kari tells Davis, “I'm sorry if I worried you, love, or any of you.”

 

Tai tells Kari, “Don't worry, Kari, we knew that you wouldn't if you had a choice in the matter.”

 

Kari asks everyone, “What happened to Beryl?”

 

Everyone becomes a bit nervous about this and Jun replies, plainly, “Ami and Janet were over to where Queen Beryl was engulfed by the explosion and they didn't find anything to indicate that she was killed by your attack.”

 

Kari asks, a bit nervously, “So, she might be still alive?”

 

Veemon replies, simply, “Unfortunately, it is most likely. She is like one huge Digi-weed. Doesn't know when to give up!”

 

Davis says, annoyed, “Yeah, no joke.”

 

Tiara then says, “If she is still alive, she isn't going to forget this, Kari.”

 

Amara nods her head and states, “Most likely, she will be looking to get revenge upon you.”

 

Kari tells everyone else, with a smile, “Doesn't matter. I know that as long as all of you are with me, she can't beat me.”

 

Yolei nods her head and exclaims, excitedly, “Yeah!”

 

Sakura says, in a plain tone and sweet smile on her lips, “That's the spirit.”

 

Mina exclaims, in her excited tone, “Now, you are talking like a true Sailor Senshi!”

 

Rini nods her head and exclaims, “That's right!”

 

Kari then asks, in a plain tone, “What about the battle?”

 

The rest of the group becomes somewhat solemn and Jun tells Kari, “I'm not going to lie to you, Kari. When the battle ended, Queen Beryl's army lost all eight hundred thousand youma and the troops of the Dark Empire have lost around two hundred fifty-seven thousand, two hundred, and seven-two dead, another seventy-two thousand, six hundred, and twenty five wounded, and ten thousand, five hundred, and two captured. The rest managed to escape back to their own lines. On the meanwhile, the Vana'diel and SeeD forces have fifty-six thousand and six hundred and twenty-five dead and wounded and the Digidestined and Digimon forces have suffered only twenty thousand, five hundred, and fifty-nine casualties, but nine hundred and twenty-two Digidestined are dead along with their Digimon partner, who were killed soon after their partners.”

 

Kari gasps in shock and Davis says, solemnly, “The others said that they died very bravely and didn't give up till the end.”

 

Kari asks, a bit weakly, “What about the attack on your position, Davis?”

 

Davis replies, in a plain tone, “The entire force sent against us was totally obliterated: A force of sixty thousand soldiers in all. However, my Vana'diel and Seed troops lost six hundred and fifty-two dead and another three hundred and thirty-five wounded. The Digidestined force under my command has around four hundred and sixty-eight casualties, including twenty-five dead along with their Digimon partner, who were killed by the similar attackers that killed their partners. They and their Digimon partners for to their last breath or their last bit of data, considering who you are talking about.” After that explanation about what happened, the fullest of our heroes' and heroines' along with their allies' situation becomes even more clear than ever. They were in war and the killing, the battles, and destruction isn't going to stop until they achieve their objective: Total defeat of the Dark Empire.

 

(Inside of the Dark Empire; on the meanwhile)

 

Still cloaked in the darkness to make his features unseen, Lord Skoll of the Dark Empire enters a room where he finds some kind of medical laboratory full of computers and medical personal working on something or someone. When Lord Skoll looks towards a tube attached to the circuitry filled walls of the medical laboratory, he finds that Queen Beryl, missing her right arm and left leg, her mouth and nose covered in a clear oxygen mask, and her body or what's left of it, is covered in some kind of crystal clear fluid filled with dark energy inside of the tube. Queen Beryl's eyes were closed, but they were twitching and her expression is that of anger.

 

Lord Skoll turns to one of the medical personal and says, in a commanding tone, “Status.”

 

The medical personal, who looks like that he is the head of this laboratory and looks to be a mid-aged male Elvaan, replies, “Yes, Lord Skoll. Queen Beryl's conditional is stable and her regeneration of her lost limbs is going nicely along her energy regeneration. I must say that I didn't expect her to be in such condition.”

 

Lord Skoll replies, “Neither did I. I didn't expect the Galaxy Princess to put up much of a fight. She is more powerful than we thought.” Lord Skoll tells the doctor, “Update me with her progress every six hours. Is that understood?”

 

The military doctor bows in front of his leader and replies, “Yes, Lord Skoll.”

 

Lord Skoll looks at Queen Beryl's sleeping form and thinks in his mind, “Well, I must say that both of us made a mistake and underestimated that princess. I knew that she was tougher than you gave her credit for, but I didn't know that she was incredibly powerful to do this to you. Rest, Beryl. You will need it. Soon, you will get the revenge that I know hungers inside of you.” Lord Skoll's mouth is seen and he gives a wide dark grin. On the meanwhile, Queen Beryl's eyes open slightly and revealing blood red tints to them before they close once more.

 

(Two days later; Just outside of Galena)

 

Just outside of the city of Galena, we find all of our heroes and heroines standing in front of nearly 1,000 thousand graves in a recently formed military-like cemetery and there are more graves off to the right and left of these graves. These nearly one thousand graves are the graves of the Digidestined that recently died in the battle of Galena. Each of them were given a small statue, depicting them and their Digimon partner, and they were made so quick because of the magic sculpture makers back in Vana'diel. We find Queen Serenity with our heroes and heroines as the last speech are finished and we find twenty-one of the Lunarian Digidestined armed with assault rifles standing to the left side of these graves. And there were around group of the Lunarian Digidestined `taking charge' of twenty-one artillery pieces aiming away from the graves. They were chosen to give a traditional twenty-one gun salute, first with rifles and then with artillery pieces, since they were the first Digidestined soldiers to become `regular heroes' in this war.

 

When the final speech is done, Sailor Sun calls out, in a commanding tone, “Present arms!” The Lunarian Digidestined with the rifles raises their rifles into the air and Sailor Sun calls out, in a commanding tone, “Fire!” The Lunarian Digidestined fire one volley into the air and Sailor Sun shouts out, in a commanding tone, “Shoulder arms!” The Lunarian Digidestined put the safeties back on in their assault rifle and put them on the ground by the butt of their rifles. Davis motions for the artillery to get ready and the crews manning got ready to fire.

 

Davis then calls out, in a commanding tone, “Fire!” The twenty-one artillery guns fire off one by one as they give the second twenty-one gun salute.

 

When they were done, Queen Serenity sighs and says, solemnly, “I prayed to the Goddess Selene that this could never happen again. However, once more, I stand before more graves as the blood of Earth and Lunar is being shed.”

 

Darien tells Queen Serenity, “Serenity, we know how you feel about repeating the destruction and death that you saw at the end of the Silver Millennium and the Moon Kingdom, but if we don't destroy the Dark Empire, then you know what will happen.”

 

Queen Serenity nods her head and says, in a solemn tone, “I know, Prince Endymon. What happened to my kingdom will be repeated on countless realities if the Dark Empire isn't stopped. There is just no other choice, through many of us, including myself, wish otherwise. We can't bring them back and the only thing that all of us can do now is pray for their souls and honor the memory of these brave souls.”

 

Davis tells his Lunarian mother, “You can be assured of that, mom. I'll make sure that their names are remembered for all time and I swear that my friends and I will stop this killing some day.”

 

Jun nods her head in agreement and states, in a serious tone, “You know, I believe that in the end, the multi-verse won't need any superheroes to save them all worlds . . . it will need just brave ones to do the job.”

 

Matt glances at Jun, quite surprised, and thinks, amazed, “Wow, even knowing Jun's real self and past life, I'm surprised since that's pretty deep even for her. Maybe there is more to her than meets the eye.”

 

Hotaru asks Queen Serenity, “So, what do we do now, Serenity-sama?”

 

Queen Serenity replies, in a plain tone, “We honor these fallen souls, pray for them being sent into the heavens and into paradise, and us, the living, to move and carry on their great work.”

 

Davis tells Queen Serenity, “Follow us, mom. We need to dictate the memorial to the Vana'diel soldiers that had fallen.” She nods her head in agreement and our entire group of heroes and heroines move on to another area.

 

Gatomon and Veemon think in their own minds at the same time, “Goodbye. And rest in peace.”

 

Next time in Chapter 11: Crisis on Infinite Earths: Shortly after the one year anniversary of our Odaiba Digidestined's and their Digimon's, minus Davis and Veemon, as well as Darien's and our Sailor Senshi's arrival on Lunar, there is a big event in Vana'diel happening: The wedding of Davis and Kari! That's right! Our Digidestined of Miracles and Light are going down the red carpet and saying their vows. The friends and family of our Sailor Senshi and Digidestined are invited to the wedding and during the wedding, let's just there are few fun surprises that are going to happen. After Davis and Kari say `I do', even through the war is going on, Davis and Kari, reluctantly, head on their honeymoon with a vacation to Spira where they spent a wonderful and mainly fun-filled time with Tidus and his friends. On the meanwhile, back on Lunar, the rest of our heroes and heroines continue on with fighting the war against the Dark Empire and their allies. Vana'diel and their allies across worlds that sent support have made plenty of gains in recapturing and liberating territories held by the Dark Empire. However, this has a `side-effect' in the form of the nation of Zaibach, technology-driven, war-like, monarchy nation, decides to take the offensive against the Dark Empire on its own by launching an assault from their territory as well, which is a cause for concern for Queen Serenity and the Vana'diel council. However, her eldest daughter, Sailor Sun, Renamon, Matt, Gabumon, Sailor Genesis/Aerith Gainesboro, Cloud, Sailor Constellation, and Sailor Constellation's boyfriend, Li, have their own problems is when on patrol during a `mop-up' operation through a woods that was recently bypass and surrounded on all sides by Vana'diel and Digidestined forces, they are attacked by some Terminator robots and Dark Digimon forces and they are forced into a hard fight to survive. When our newly wed couple returns from their honeymoon, they find another `situation' waiting for them. There was a message that came through the Interdimensional Stargate that requested them to come to a reality not found in their records. Soon enough, they figured out why: It was from an alternate multi-verse and from an alternate Lunar! Whoa! After an explanation on alternate versions of their universe and their multi-verse along with all of the theories surrounding them, Davis, Kari, and their two Digimon decided to head out into the alternate multi-verse with the coordinates they were given on the message. Upgrading and improving the Interdimensional Stargate as needed, Davis, Kari, Veemon, and Gatomon head through the Interdimensional Stargate where they meet alternate universe's (Digidestined) and (Sailor Senshi) along with (themselves) and the alternate (Lunar), which similar to the one that they have been on, but comes with various and `colorful' differences. However, there is plenty of main similarities including (Interdimensional Warriors), (Dark Empire), and an (Interdimensional War) going on in this (alternate reality). After briefing explaining this (multi-verse's) story, this (Davis) and (Kari) give our Digidestined of Miracles and Light some terrible news: Their (Dark Empire) has found a way to `link up' with the Dark Empire from Davis' and Kari's reality and now, every single multi-verse out there is in terrible danger since they have found a way to use the Interdimensional Stargates into the various alternate multi-verses! Oh, boy! It looks like the `battlefield' has just expanded even more than before! How will our heroes and heroines handle this brand new crisis?! Find out next time on the next Digi-Moon Legacy!
