Legend of the D-Warriors: War of the Worlds
Recap: Well, last time we were in the 02 Digidestined Dimension, Eris has been wearing our group of D-Warriors with many attacks. Ever since her plan of destroying the D-Warriors with armies of Spiran fiends was destroyed, Eris had been attack places of vital importance to the district of Odaiba TWENTY TIMES IN FIVE DAYS! Man! Doesn't she ever catch a break?! After the twentieth battle was won, the Digimon and Chosen Children of the D-Warriors went back to the Motomiya residence to take a breather. On the television, they were finding out about what the public knew what was going on so far. They didn't know much, but the reporters were getting nosier in trying to find out about our group, as Jun can relate. Seeing the worn condition of her children and all their friends, Mrs. Motomiya, Jun's and Davis' mother, suggest that they take the next day to relax on the beach. Our group decided to take and the next day headed off to the beach. However, in the world of the Power Rangers, Eris vented her rage on Mesogog and his crew, who she got the Tyrannodrones that she used on her twentieth failed attack, but was stopped by her master, the Ultimate Being of Destruction. After a demonstration of what `it' can do, Mesogog was impressed to form an alliance with Eris' master and supply him with more Tyrannodrones and his two generals, Zeltrax and Elsa, for Eris' next attack. Meanwhile, our D-Warriors were enjoying their day on the beach, in their own ways. Davis, Takato, and Takuya were having fun playing volleyball in the sea water in their own `powered-up and jokingly' way, as you can say. Jun, on the other hand, was enjoying the sun and surf. And the Digimon, Veemon, Silvermon, and Guilmon, were enjoying the beaching like their partners, one way or another. And then the Odaiba Digidestined and their Digimon, minus TK and Patamon, arrived to try to talk with Davis and Jun. But before anything major can be said, Eris, Zeltrax, and Elsa attacked with their army of minions! The D-Warrior managed to bring around their defeat them in their usual fashion, but the D-Warriors `beach day' was ruined! Oh well, just another day in the life of inter-dimensional heroes saving the dimensional plane. But before Davis, Jun, and their partners left, Davis contacted Kari, telepathically, for another meeting just between them, tomorrow, at Odaiba Middle School, at noon. And after the Digidestined of Miracles, Spirit, Veemon, and Silvermon leaves, via Instant Transmission, Takato has a small private talk with Kari and gives her a tracking device. The reason was that Takato and Takuya decided to voice their opinions and feelings at how Davis is reacting these days to what happened between him and the other Digidestined, three years ago. And the remaining D-Warriors take their leave. On the meanwhile, TK and Pegasusmon, secretly, follow the other Odaiba Digidestined and their partners was, on the inside, steamed that the others went to talk to Davis and leave him and Pegasusmon behind. And this cause his resentment and jealously of Davis to grow even more. What is going on with TK?! And about the meeting between Davis and Kari, will these two finally be able to heal all the wounds caused by what happened three years ago? And if Takato and Takuya come to that `private meeting', can they make a difference with Davis' mind? Find out in this Episode of Digimon: Digital Monsters!
02 World Saga, Episode 9: Three Princes, One Light, and One Final Decision
(That Night)
Kari finds herself in her typical Digital World clothing (A/N: The clothes Kari wore in the Digital World during the show) and walking around in strange canyon. In the walls of the canyon, there were stones statues of Veemon, Flamedramon, Raidramon, Magnamon, ExVeemon, Cyberdramon, Paildramon, Imperialdramon in his dragon version, and Imperialdramon Fighter Mode. But there was also another mysterious Digimon, which Kari never saw before, statue in the canyon's walls. This Digimon was a humanoid Digimon with a metal plate, possibly a face-mask, with no eye-holes in them, on his face, no mouth, just a white covering over the mouth area, a red scarf around this Digimon, and a metal left arm.
“[What Digimon is that? I never saw him before. And why is he with the other digivolutions of Veemon?]” Kari wonders to herself. As she moves along, she comes to stone stairs that end a pair of two large doors. But to Kari's shock and horror, at those very door was none other than Eris! “[Oh my god, that's Eris! What is she doing here?!]” Kari wonders, very freaked out. Eris was looking and smiling at somebody, but it wasn't Kari.
“Let do this!” a very serious and calm voice calls out to Eris. Kari recognized that voice instantly. It was Davis! Kari looked to where Davis' voice came from and found him, three-quarters up the staircase, but his clothes were totally different from what Kari saw him wear before.
Davis was in his normal, non-Ascendant state, so his hair was his typical red and similar to Yusuke's style of hair, expect that it was red and it has some of Davis' typical spikes in it, and his eyes were his usual hazel brown. But Davis had headband made of pure gold on his head, similar to ones that Egyptian royalty would wear, on his head. The golden headband had the Crest of Miracles in rainbow of colors in the middle of headband and dragon's wings in silver on the sides. Around Davis' neck was golden royal collar with a roaring dragon's head in the center and angel's wings on the sides, four on each side. Davis had a crystal blue sleeveless and buttonless shirt that had fiery phoenix that had the Crest of Miracles emblazed in the center. Davis had a black leather jacket with golden leather collar that had the Crests of Courage, Friendship, and Miracles in the front. The back couldn't be seen since Davis had a golden royal cape on his back with the Crest of Courage, Friendship, Love, Sincerity, Knowledge, Reliability, Hope, Light, Kindness, Spirit, and two unfamiliar crest symbols in a circle. And in the center of the cape was the Crest of Miracles in rainbow colors. On his hand were fingerless flame-designed gloves that had the Crest of Miracles in gold and another crest beside it that Kari could not see. Davis had blue jeans with silver lightning bolts going all over it with unusual sliver leather belt around him that held Davis' D-3, D-Terminal, and a sheath that held a unusual sword that had a beautiful gold hilt and silver handle with the most beautiful of art work. And to compete the look, Davis had flame-designed sneakers that had the Crest of Miracles and that same other crest on the gloves that Kari could not see, side by side.
Davis, in those strange clothes, was looking, with a serious, calm, and determined look on his face, straight at Eris, who had a evil smile and look on hers. The two giant doors open and Eris flies into them. Davis, still having the same serious and determined look on his face, climbs the stairs, and towards the doors that Eris went through.
Kari runs up to the bottom of the stairs, and calls out, “Davis! Davis, wait up!” Davis turns his head to Kari, gives her a serious and, yet, indifferent look, turns his head back to the doors, and continues up the stairs until he reaches the top. As Davis walks towards the doors, Kari calls out, “Davis, wait! Davis, where are you going?!”
Davis, in a calm and totally serious voice, just answers, “To face my destiny. Farewell.” Then Davis walks through the doors and they begin to close.
Kari runs towards to doors and calls out, “WAIT, DAISUKE!” But the doors close right in front of her.
And then Kari, in her bed and wearing a purple nightgown, wakes up from her dream in a cold sweat and breathing heavily. It was about 3:45 A.M. in the morning.
Then she put her head down on her knees and began to cry, stating, “Daisuke. Please, Daisuke. Come back to us. Come back to me. I truly realize now at how much you meant to me and how much I truly cared for you. I'm so sorry that I hurt and I want to make with you. Please, Davis.” Then Kari went back to sleep, but her sleep was quite restless with her tears shedding, with A LOT of tears.

Meanwhile, at that same moment, our Digidestined of Miracles woke up with a start. He placed his right hand over his heart. He felt like that there was this HUGE hole in his heart, but he can't or REFUSES to remember what it is.
“[What is this feeling? I feel like that there is this LARGE hole in heart, but I can't seem to remember what it is. But then again, something inside of me is telling me that I know what this `hole' is, but I'm refusing to acknowledge knowing what it is and the feeling itself. Man! What's going on with me?]” Davis thinks to himself. But this feeling of emptiness distributed Davis throughout the rest of night.
(Davis' Bedroom; The Day After the Battle on the Beach; That Morning)
We find Davis, in his D-Warrior uniform, typing on his computer, actually, by the looks of it, Davis looked like that he was upgrading and installing something on his computer. Veemon was with his Digidestined partner, watching him work.
When Davis was finish, he then states, “Done!”
Veemon looks at the program on the computer that Davis made on his computer, then turns to his partner, and asks him, “Do you think that this program will be a good place for him?”
Davis smiles at his partner and tells him, “Sure! I made sure that I made the necessary upgrade and program arrangements! Now, my NetNavi has a place to stay while he is in my world.”
Veemon then says, “It was sure nice of Lan's father, Lan, and Lan's NetNavi, MegaMan, helping creating a set of three `brothers' of MegaMan for you, Takato, and Takuya. And also, for MegaMan to have his own `NetNavi family'. Also, Lan's father created a version Roll for Jun with many elements of MegaMan, including Style Changes and use of the Program Advanced.”
Davis smiles, nods, and says, “Yeah. Well, I think that it's time to bring MegaMan Gold and my PET out of my backpack. He is going to be cross at me for not bring him out sooner. He is so like his older brother, the original MegaMan in many ways.” Then Davis reaches inside his backpack and takes a PET (A/N: For those who don't know about MegaMan NT Warrior, well, PET stands for Personal Terminal. And the Personal Terminal or PET, for short, is similar to a wireless PC.). Well, Davis looks on the screen of his PET, there was a version of Lan's NetNavi, MegaMan, displayed on the screen, expect that this MegaMan had gold in the areas the `regular MegaMan' was dark blue and crimson red wherever Lan's MegaMan was gold, and on his chest was the Crest of Miracles in rainbow colors in the same circle where Lan's MegaMan's symbol was. Davis then says to the golden MegaMan on his PET screen, “Hey, MegaMan Gold!”
MegaMan Gold looks at Davis, with a bit of a cross looks, on his face and exclaims to him, “Well, Davis, it's about time you brought me out! You kept in your backpack so you would have to hear me `nag' at you, isn't it?”
Davis gives his NetNavi a bit of insulted look and replies, “MegaMan Gold, you know that I would never do that! Look, I kept you inside my backpack for so long because I was designing a program that will be your home for the time that you are going to be in home dimension.”
“What?! We're in your home dimension and you didn't bring me out to tell me?! Davis, I'm surprised at you! I'm your NetNavi, after all! Your friend!” MegaMan exclaims to Davis, with a feeling of being neglected.
Davis with a apologetic look on his face frantically tells his NetNavi, “MegaMan Gold, I'm sorry! Really, I am! You know that I would do that on purpose! Look, I would have brought you out sooner, but remember, I'm a D-Warrior. I haven't brought you out and finished your program was because of Eris and all the battles that I've been through.”
MegaMan Gold sighs, knowing that he's been a bit to hasty in yelling at Davis, and tells him, “You're right. Sorry about accusing you of doing wrong Davis. Two wrongs don't make a right.”
“Don't worry about it, MegaMan Gold.” Davis replies. Then Davis gets a new feeling, one brought to Davis' heart by the last statement his NetNavi said. “[Why does that last statement that my NetNavi told me seems to hold such a prominent position in my heart? It seems to have something to deal with this empty feeling that I felt last night.]” Davis thinks to himself. While Davis was thinking, he was REALLY zoned out.
From inside Davis' PET, MegaMan Gold saw this and calls out to his Netop, “Hey, Davis, something wrong?”
Davis quickly came out his train of thought, realizing that his NetNavi was talking to him, and states to MegaMan Gold, “Sorry about that MegaMan Gold, I was in deep thought.”
“Very DEEP thought from what I saw, Davis. You looked like you were deep in Cyberspace.” MegaMan Gold tells Davis.
“Sorry to worry you.” Davis tells MegaMan Gold. And then Davis activates the program on his computer for MegaMan Gold's `home'. Then he exclaims, “Jack in! MegaMan Gold! Power up!” And then plugs in his PET's connection wire into the special adaptation port that Davis installed in his computer for his PET and downloads his NetNavi into his computer. Inside the program, MegaMan Gold looks his `pad', it looked like a cyber version of a Hollywood star's home.
From inside the computer, MegaMan Gold exclaims, “Wow! This place you created for me is great! Thanks a lot, Davis!”
Davis smiles, widely and happily, and tells MegaMan Gold, “No problem! Maybe, I can have Takato and Takuya send you two `NetNavi brothers', MegaMan Crimson and MegaMan Knight, to visit. Takato and Takuya are staying at my place for the time that we are here.”
“That would be great!” MegaMan Gold exclaims.
Then Davis gets up, walks up to the door, and says to MegaMan Gold, “Well, I'm going to the kitchen to get something to drink and then I got to head out.”
MegaMan then asks from Davis' computer screen, “What do you got to do, Davis?”
Veemon answers, “Davis is going to his old middle school to settle some `problems' that he has here.”
MegaMan nods in understand and just says, “Oh.” Davis, with a weak smile on his face, opens his bedroom door and heads into the living room to head to the kitchen.
(At the same time; On the Roof of the Motomiya Apartment Complex)
Meanwhile, we find other two High Princes training by having a sparring match while Guilmon watches his Tamer and the Frontier Destined of Miracles work out. Takato and Takuya were in mid-air attacking each other with high-speed punches and kicks.
“Double Spirit Swords!” Takuya calls out and two Spirit Swords come into his hands. And then Takuya charges Takato and swipes Takato with the Spirit Swords at speeds that cannot be registered by the human eye alone. But Takato avoid all of the attack with Takuya and the swords and uses his super speed to `disappear'. Takuya searched everywhere for Takato, but couldn't find him.
But then Takato's voice rings out, “Look out below!” Takuya turns to his right and above to see Takato dive-bombing him. Takato's right fist had a reddish-black flame surrounding it. “Fist of the Mortal Flame!” Takato calls out and slams his right fist into Takuya's, now, crossed Spirit Swords, but then Takato slams his left fist into Takuya's unguarded right cheek, slightly bruising it and sending him flying towards the roof. Takuya stop about one foot above the ground and turns to see Takato dive-bombing him, again, reading a Shotgun attack for close range. But when Takato got close, Takuya goes over his head and delivers a karate chop to the neck that knocks Takato onto the roof, but only slight cracks the roof. Takato rolls around to get up, but Takuya puts his Spirit Swords in scissor-like formation and around Takato's neck.
Takuya gives a wide grin and simply states, “Checkmate, Takato.”
Takato gives a slight giggle and says in reply, “All right, Takuya, you win. Uncle.” Then Takuya makes his Spirit Swords `disappear' and helps Takato back to his feet. And the two High Princes make their way to Guilmon, who has a cooler full of soda and cold drinks with him.
Takuya rubbing his sore cheek tells Takato, “Get workout Takato! You really got me with that double Fist of the Mortal Flame.”
Takato blushes slightly in embarrassment and responds, “Yeah, but you manage to get me before I could hit you with that Shotgun attack. You won our little `skirmish'.” And then getting to the cooler, Takuya opened it and took out two Snapple Diet Lemon Iced Teas. He gave one to Takato and took the other for himself.
After having a few gulps of the Diet Lemon Ice Tea, Takuya sighs and asks Takato, “Takato, do you think that you will we would be able to convince Davis to forgive the other Digidestined for what happened three years ago?”
Takato gave Takuya a small smile and answers, “We have to Takuya. While Davis is still angry, bitter, and enraged with the other Digidestined, he keeps a good part of himself locked away. And I think that's why Davis is unable to unleash the full power of the Crest of Miracles and why Davis can't truly access his power that's a part as the Digidestined of Miracles. Not only that, I think that Davis still truly cares about Kari, deep inside, but his bitterness and anger towards keeps that caring buried. Davis has got to remember that people can change and if people are TRULY SORRY for what they had done that they should also be giving a second chance.”
Takuya then adds with his own smile, “You're right, Takato. Davis has also got to learn that all the hatred he bares will only end adding to his suffering, as well as hurt and make the other Digidestined. And that's not the Davis Motomiya that we know. He NEVER would want to make anyone suffer, no matter what. I hate to say, but the fact is: The way that Davis is acting to the others is like the way he described that they hurt him. Two wrongs don't make a right and I know that we will bring out the parts of Davis' heart that he locked away, back.”
“Now that the spirit, Takuya!” Takato exclaims with great enthusiasm.
“Yeah!” Guilmon adds by exclaiming with the same enthusiasm as his Tamer's.
“Hey, Takato, you want to have game of Duel Monster for a while?” Takuya asks with a wide smile on his face.
Takato gives Takuya his own HUGE grin on his face and asks in response, “Regular or Hologram?”
“Hologram.” Takuya answers without a second thought. Then Takato and Takuya take out a pair of Duel Disks and their Duel Monsters decks. They set up the hologram display dueling system and got read to duel.
After the Life Point counters were set, they took out their first five cards out and shout out, “Time to duel!”
(11:00 P.M.; Later that Day; The Motomiya Living Room and Kitchen)
We find Jun and Silvermon relaxing on the couch and watching the television. They were watching a show about a universe that they had been to. It's an amine called `Ikki Tosen' and its Manga version is called `Battle Vixens'.
As Silvermon watched the animated Toushi fighting on the television, Jun's Digimon partner says, “Wow! Those people who created this show based on that dimension are very accurate.”
Jun then tells Silvermon, “Well, Silvermon, the Overseers said that people that create television shows has the greatest of all imaginations in any universe. Their powerful imaginations may allow them to gain a sub-conscious `connection' to another world. What might seem like fantasy in their world may be happening in an actual dimension. Remember when Takato and Guilmon told us that our dimension is a TV show in his world. Well, the Overseers say that the creators of the show had a `connection' to our world through their sub-consciousness and created the show based on our dimension based on that connection.”
Silvermon then states, “Well, we're glad that these people's `sub-conscious' minds are more connected to outside other universes than their `conscious' minds or they would know what was going on to the fullest and start a worldwide panic!”
Jun laughs at her Digimon's statement and then comments, “I don't think that the general public would believe them, Silvermon! They would think that they gone out of their minds, you know with TV shows', comic books', and other writers, producers, and other creators of forms of entertainment's, sometimes, wild imaginations!”
Silvermon, with a wide smile on her face, exclaims, “Yeah!” And then they both have a good laugh. Jun's and Davis' mother, who was heading into her bedroom for a rest, was glad that her daughter was having a good laugh for once. With all that was happening, they had to fight and be serious. To Mrs. Motomiya, it was good that one of her children and her child's friend was having doing something that relieved their tension. And Mrs. Motomiya then went into her bedroom to have a good rest. A minute later, Davis and Veemon came out of Davis' bedroom and headed for the front door.
Jun, hearing this and sensing her younger brother and Veemon, turns to face Davis and his partner, and asks them, “Davis, where are you and `Vee' going?”
Davis then looked at Jun with a sincere smile on his face and replies, “Oh, Jun. Well, sis, I'm going out on some `personal' business, that's all. I will be back late this afternoon, most likely.”
Jun, with a bit of concern for her younger brother, asks him, “Do you want me with Silvermon, Takuya, or Takato with Guilmon to come along with you?”
Davis shakes his head and responds, nicely, “No, that won't be necessary, sis. This just some `personal stuff' that I got to take care and Veemon will be with me. Don't worry, we'll be careful.”
Jun nods her head in agreement and states, “Okay, bro! Just make sure that you watch for that fang-faced, snake in the trash Eris. That DOB has a way of causing trouble. Contact any one of us in anyway if you get into trouble, okay? I don't mean to `nag' you or anything, Eris is just plain trouble and she has got a thing for us, me most of all.”
Davis nods his head, gives Jun a `thumbs-up' and tells her, “Gotcha!” And then Davis and Veemon head out the door. Jun had a feeling inside of her heart that there was something more to this than Davis was telling, but the feelings that Jun felt didn't feel like TOO MUCH of a concern and she didn't want to hurt her younger brother's trust, so, Jun decide to drop it. She went back to watching the TV with Silvermon. They watched intently about the `Ikki Tosen' anime show.
(Outside and on the Roof of the Motomiya Apartment Complex; Several Moments Later)
Davis and Veemon were going out on the streets and heading for Odaiba Middle School, the school he went to before he left for his training, journey, and the beginning of his adventures as a D-Warrior.
“Well, we better be off, Veemon.” Davis said calmly.
“Right.” Veemon replies and nods in agreement. On the meanwhile, Takato, Guilmon, and Takuya were watching Davis and Veemon from the roof after Takato and Takuya finished their Duel Monsters match.
Guilmon then says, “There they go, Takato.”
Takato nods and comments to Guilmon, “Yeah, Guilmon. And now, we wait.”
Takuya then asks Takato, “How will we know that Kari and Gatomon will be with Davis and Veemon at Odaiba Middle School at noon?”
Takato then answers Takuya, “Kari REALLY NEEDS to make up with Davis. She realizes her TRUE feelings for Davis and she doesn't care if he never ever befriends or, even loves her again, though she DEEPLY hopes for that, she hopes that, at least, Davis will forgive her and the other Digidestined. And that Davis will rejoin the team. And Kari will refuse to give up, like Davis always does, on this. I deeply hope that what the two of us will have to say can convince Davis to reconsider about his anger towards the others.”
Takuya then gives Takato a smile and, with great confidence, tells Takato, “I know that we can! With the three of us, Davis, myself, and you, Takato, have been like a band of brothers to each other for three years! Davis knows that when we have concerns about him, we are doing it for his interest. The three of us, the High Princes of our Chosen Children of our respective dimensions, are VERY much alike.”
Guilmon then comments, adding his opinion to the conversation, “That's right, Takuya! Takato, the three of you have developed a deep bond of friendship for the three years we have been on our D-Warriors `training journey'. I know that you and Takuya can convince Davis to change his mind and re-open his heart to other Digidestined, especially Kari!”
Takato was deeply inspired by his partner's faith in him and his fellow High Prince and thanks Guilmon by stating, “Thanks, Guilmon! You're right! I know we can do it!”
“Yeah!” Takuya and Guilmon exclaim with great enthusiasm, agreeing with Takato.
But then Takuya asks Takato, “But how can we track Kari and Gatomon?”
Takato with a wide grin on his face, takes out a special portable screen, and answers the Frontier Destined, “Well, we can use our senses to track Kari's life-aura. Since she has the power of Light within her, being the Digidestined of Light, she `stands out' more than regular humans. And yesterday on the beach, I gave Kari a watch that had a tracking device inside of it. This screen is locked on to the signal of that tracking device and will tells us if and when Kari is at Odaiba Middle School.” Takuya nods in understanding. On the meanwhile, Davis is heading off for his old middle school to meet with Kari.
(The Kamiya Residence; The Living Room; Fifteen Minutes Later)
Kari was with Gatomon in the living room, putting on the watch that had the special tracking device that Takato Matsuki gave her. Tai was with the older Digidestined trying to discuss when they go back to college with Jun, how to deal with her, and try to convince her to try to sway Davis to forgive the rest of the Odaiba Digidestined. Her parents were in their bedroom having a private discussion about what has happening lately in their district of Tokyo.
“[I hope that Takato, his Digimon partner, and Takuya can convince Davis to forgive us and come back. I don't if Davis does want me to be his friend or ever falls in love with me, ever again, I just want him back into my life. I can't lose him, now that I realize how much he's done for both worlds, for the Digidestined, and for me. Even though that I don't deserve a person with such pure-heartedness, kindness, strength, courage, and all around great person at heart, anymore, at least I got convince him to forgive me and the others for what we have done to him, three years ago.]” Kari thinks to herself.
Gatomon sees the `special watch' that Takato gave Kari and sees her partner put it on, so, Gatomon asks Kari, “What's that Kari?”
Kari answers her partner, “This is special tracking device that Takato and Takuya gave me. It looks like a watch. So, when you and I meet Davis and Veemon, Takato, his partner Guilmon, and Takuya will come to the meeting to voice their opinions in our meeting.”
“Do you think that those two other High Princes can help us convince Davis and Veemon to forgive us?” Gatomon asks.
“We got to get Davis back, Gatomon. No matter what it takes, we have to get him back to our team. Not because he's our High Prince, but because he's our friend and we realize now, how much he meant to the team.” Kari says with a bit of a solemn voice.
“You're right, Kari. We better get going.” Gatomon says with a smile.
Kari gives a weak smile in and states in reply, “Right!” And then Kari and Gatomon head for the door, but before she leaves Kari calls to her parents, “Mom! Dad! I'm leaving to see a friend of mine. We got something important to discuss!”
Kari's mother called out, “Okay, but be careful! With all the things that are happening, it's not too safe to go out on the streets!”
And Kari's dad added, “So, be careful, sweetie!”
Kari calls back, “Right! Bye, mom! Bye, dad!” And then Kari and Gatomon open the door, head out the door, and close the front door behind. They head out into the streets and begin their walk to Odaiba Middle School, the school that she and Davis use to go before he left on his training journey as a D-Warrior with his older sister and their two partners.
(At the Same Time; Back on the Roof of the Motomiya Apartment Complex)
Takato, Takuya, and Guilmon were relaxing on the roof when the device that tracked Takato's tracking device that he gave Kari Kamiya started beeping.
Guilmon was the first to notice it and asks Takato, “What's that Takato?”
Takato, now hearing the beeping and realizing what that beeping means, exclaims, “My tracking device is moving!” Takato picks up his screen that displays the position of his tracking device and with Takuya and Guilmon watching the display showed that Takato's tracking device was moving away from the Kamiya residence.
Takuya, knowing what that meant, says, “That must be Kari. She's wearing the tracking device and heading off to the `meeting place' where she and Davis are to meet.”
Takato nods his head in agreement and responds with, “Right. We have to wait for the right time to `jump in' and give Davis our opinions on this.”
“And I know that Davis will listen to us! Since we are the High Princes of the Chosen Children of our three respective dimensions, you and I have been like twin brothers to Davis.” Takuya says.
“And when we tell Davis some things that we know and that he locked away in his mind and heart, I know that he will open up, again, and forgive Kari and the other Digidestined.” Takato says. Guilmon nods in agreement.
(Just Outside of Odaiba Middle School; Half a Minute Before Noon)
Kari and Gatomon were just outside of the middle school's front yard. Kari was looking for Davis and/or Veemon, but didn't see them anywhere!
“Where do you think that Davis and Veemon are Gatomon?” Kari asks her Digimon partner.
“I don't know, Kari. I can't find them anywhere.” Gatomon says. Then a loud screeching noise comes from the gate and when they looked at the gate, it was wide open! “Looks like an invitation from Davis and Veemon.” Gatomon comments.
“But that's not Davis' style.” Kari states.
“But with Davis new powers, abilities, and all the possibilities of what happened to Davis, Veemon, his sister, her partner Silvermon, and their three friends during their three year training journey across other dimensions, do you think that Davis wouldn't have changed his way of doing things?” Gatomon points out.
Kari sighs, knowing that Gatomon is mostly likely right, and answers Gatomon, “I hate to say it, Gatomon, but you might be right about that.”
Gatomon hangs her head down and says, “Sorry, Kari.”
Kari, with a depressed look on her faces, tells Gatomon, “Don't worry about it, I know that you are trying to tell me the truth. But I can't believe that the Davis we knew is lost forever. Let's go see him!”
Gatomon, with encouragement, exclaims, “Yeah!” And then Gatomon and Kari go through the gate and into the front yard of Kari's old middle school. Kari and Gatomon didn't see the Digidestined of Miracles and his Digimon partner.
“I wondered where Davis and Veemon are.” Kari wonders.
“Right here.” Davis' voice comes from Kari's and Gatomon's right. They turn in surprise to see Davis and Veemon come out from behind a tree.
“Davis! When did you get here?” Kari asks in surprise.
“About half an hour ago, I decided to get here early and relax under the trees.” Davis says in cool voice.
“Whoa! You came here EARLY?!” Gatomon asks in surprise.
“Is that a problem Gatomon?” Davis asks in the same cool voice.
Kari shakes her head and answers for Gatomon with, “No-No, Davis. It just not like you that. . .”
Then Davis interrupts and finishes her sentence with, a bit nastily, “That I come late, but not early! Do you think that I'm still that lazy, like I was before!” Kari was surprised at this response, last time, she talked Davis seemed to get better, but now, it's beginning to seem that's nothing has changed.
Kari answers in a bit of a scared tone, “No! No, I don't Daisuke. It's just that you changed so much since we last seen you.”
Davis, with a serious look on his face, then states in the same tone, “But I don't that you have. You are still the same like the day I left you. You know, I really thought that all of you have changed since the last time I saw you. But during the battle when Eris sent all the armies of fiends about one week's worth of time ago, for example, that really changed my opinion back to what I once thought. You judge people and things before you really get the chance to know. All of you were stupidly going to get yourselves killed by jumping into the fight and, thus, with your deaths, cause major pain and sorrow to your parents! Is that what you call loving them?!”
Kari was surprise at how Davis was reacting and tries to explain with, “But Davis, we were trying to help you!”
Davis then says, nastily, to Kari, “And you thought that I couldn't handle it! You thought that based that I was the same goofball idiot that I was three years ago! Well, if you hadn't noticed, I'm not that same Daisuke Motomiya! So, based on that, you just going to disobey me, your High Prince's, orders and not only that get yourself murdered by those fiends, but with that, cause pain and grief to your families and other friends, which I wonder why they are still friends with you! Unlike you, Kamiya, I understand what the bigger picture means and look beyond my own feelings!” This was striking Kari like arrows through her heart and tears were ready to form in her eyes.
“[The pain I caused Davis must have been EXTREMELY deep. Those scars that the others and I caused haven't healed at all. I thought that I was getting through to him, but I guess that pain is too hurtful and deep to ever go away. I was just delaying the inventible with my efforts. Maybe Davis is never coming back to us. Never coming back to me.]” Kari thinks in sadness.
“And another thing: How dare you ask my older sister about that memory with Eris?! I know that she told you the truth about her and Eris, in a way! But that doesn't give you the right to ask the details about it! You should know that if a person, boy or girl, loved one has been killed in any way, the details should be too painful to ask about it! But no, you just go in and ask her to remember the MOST PAINFUL memory of her life! I was beginning to think that you have changed your ways, but now, I think that I was wrong! You are still the same hurting me or hurting people close to me!” Davis yells at Kari, angrily.
A few tears began to form in hers eyes and Kari, weakly, says, “Davis, we-we didn't mean to-to hurt Jun. We-We just wanted to help your sister.”
Davis was about to say something, but before he could, a voice called out to all of them, “May we interject here?” Davis, Veemon, Gatomon, and Kari turns to see Takato, Takuya, and Guilmon walking up to them.
When the three of them came to Davis' and Veemon's right, Davis exclaims, “Takato, Takuya, Guilmon, what are all of you doing here?!”
Veemon adds, “Yeah! And how were you able to find us?! Davis suppressed his power so much that not even Eris couldn't find him!”
Takato answers, “I'm sorry, Davis, but we had to voice our opinions about how you're taking this situation that have with Kari and the other Digidestined. So, I knew about your telepathic communication with Kari at the beach yesterday, so, I gave Kari a special tracking device that allowed us to know where she is. And we know where she were, you would be, even though you would have your power level suppressed.”
Takuya then adds by saying, “I'm sorry that we had to do to that you, bud. But you know that we wouldn't do anything to hurt you in anyway, you know that.”
Davis nods and replies, “Sure. The three of us have been like brothers to one another, not just because the POWERFUL bond of friendship that we developed.”
Takuya then says, “Well, please Davis, listen to us now, from our own hearts, we want you to make with Kari and the other Digidestined and forgive them for what they done to you.”
Davis saw that both of them were very sincere about that this and started to say, “But. . .”
Then Gatomon screams out, “Come on, Davis, stop this right now!” Davis turned around with an angry look on his face that Gatomon interrupted, but then his expression turned to one of surprise, when he saw that Gatomon was crying, totally uncontrollably. Unable to speak for several moments, Gatomon yells at Davis with, “Kari has missed so much and wanted you to come back for her tell that she was truly sorry, just for you to leave her life, PERMANTELY! I won't allow that! If you must know, ever since you, your sister, Veemon, and Jun's new partner left our dimension, Kari cried many times at night, crying that you, Davis Motomiya, were not in her life! She begged for a second chance, a chance to tell you that she was sorry and that everything would be totally different! KARI WAS CRYING OUT FOR YOU, DAVIS! YOU AND ONLY YOU!” And then Gatomon broke into tears of anger for Davis cause of this and sorrow for her Digidestined partner. And then Davis looked at Kari and was amazed that rivers of tears were flowing from her eyes as well. Not only that Davis, with his empathic powers, felt Kari pain and sorrow for the pain that she caused him and the deep desire and caring, the emotions were focused on wanting. . .no, NEEDING him to come back into her life. Davis' expression turned from extremely angry into a very saddened look on his face. His emotions were turning for angry, bitter, and enraged into caring and concern feelings.
Then Takuya tells Davis, “Davis, we know and we know you well. You are a kind, caring, and pure-hearted no matter how angry and enrage you become. The other Digidestined and Kari didn't wrong you by ignoring you, breaking your trust and friendship, and hurting your feelings, but that doesn't mean that you can hold this stupid `grudge' against them for three years! It's crazy! And I hate to say this you, but based on what you told us about how they hurt you, Davis, you're doing the EXACT SAME THING that they did to you!” This hit Davis like a lightning bolt, he realized that Takuya was right and he knew in his own heart, he had been denying it the whole time.
Takato then adds with, “Takuya's right, Davis! You're wronging Kari and the others like they wronged you! Two wrongs don't make a right and you know that! It's harsh, but we got to tell you, as fellow High Princes and as your best friends for three years. I know that you didn't notice and it pains me to say this: But somewhere inside you were sub-consciously you were giving `pay-back' to others for all the pain that they caused you in the past. And that's not the Daisuke Motomiya, the Digidestined of Miracles, the High Prince of the Digidestined of this dimensions, really is in real life. He's a person who is truly pure-hearted, a bit foolish sometimes, but everyone makes mistakes. He's like Aladdin, `a diamond in the rough': Rough on the outside, but beautiful and pure diamond on the inside. He's full of kindness, caring, friendship, and full of all kind of positive emotions. Davis, when you became angry at Kari and the others, you locked away a good part of yourself.”
Guilmon nods and states, adding to the conversation, “My Tamer and Takuya are right, Davis. And deep down, we can all feel, that even though you are angry at Kari, deep inside you still care deeply about her.” Thinking about this, Davis then faces his partner, Veemon and Veemon knew what Davis was asking of him.
Veemon then tells Davis, “I got to tell you, Davis, you're my best friend and I would do nothing to hurt you, at all at any time. Well, I got to tell you that I TRULY believe what Gatomon, Takato, Takuya, and Guilmon are saying. You have to remember what your mother told Jun about her and Eris. You can't hate others or yourself because if you only fight with hatred, sooner or later, you will just blindly kill people with that hatred. And I know the TRUE Davis, my best friend, partner, and the Digidestined of Miracles, is nothing like that.”
Takato then speaks out with, “Veemon's right, Davis! You mustn't hate others or yourself! The pain you will inflict will not only add and create suffering for others, but it will only add to the suffering that you hold in your heart now. I know that you don't want that, Davis.”
Takuya also adds by saying, “You held a belief that if people that are truly sorry for the wrongs that did to others and want to make up for those wrongs, that they should be giving a second chance and forgiven for those wrongs. When the others didn't believe that, we held on to that belief. But with this anger you hold, you locked that part of your heart and vital others away, when you should have. So, we beg you Davis, give up on that angry, that hatred, that rage, and that bitterness in your heart. Let go of it and return to the person that you were once before.” Davis looked and listened intently on what his fellow High Princes and best friends within the D-Warriors for three years said to him.
And then Davis heard Kari's voice call out to him, with sobs and greatly saddened tone of voice, “Please . . . D-Daisuke!” When Davis turns his head to face her, his eyes widened to see waterfalls of tears coming out of Kari's eyes. Kari then exclaims to Davis, greatly sobbing at the same time, “Davis, I know that I wronged you and there is no excuse that I can ever give to make up for it! I know that you are so angry with me, but I'm so-so-so sorry, Daisuke! And you were right that there was nobody in heaven or Earth that will ever forgive him for how greatly I shattered your heart into a thousand pieces! I don't care if you never ever consider me a friend, love me, or care for me in any way ever again! I just want you to forgive me and the others and come back! What will the other Digidestined do with out you? What will I, MOST OF ALL, do without YOU, Davis? I don't just want you back, Daisuke, I NEED YOU BACK, Davis! Please, Daisuke! Please . . . come-come back, Dai-Daisuke.” And then she began to cry and sob even more than ever, even if that was possible. All the things that was said by everyone and everything that was happening and happened since he got back, finally struck the FINAL cord within Davis' heart. Realization hit our Digidestined of Miracles like a nuclear bomb.
“[Takato, Guilmon, Veemon, and Takuya are right! I've been acting and hurting Kari and the other Digidestined in the ways that they hurt me! In my conscious mind, I would never admit, but the truth is that I've been taking a form of revenge on the other Digidestined for all the pain. All I've been acting with the other was hatred, bitterness, and anger. I've just been hurting their emotions in the ways that they hurt my own emotions, those long three years ago. All I've been doing was causing pain, sorrow, and suffering for my own, those long years ago. And that's not me! I would normally never cause such suffering for others for anything that I suffered, but that's all I've been doing for Kari and the other Digidestined. I never admitted before was that empty hole in my heart was the good emotions that I had for the others and Kari that I buried all those years ago. And in my heart, I still REALLY CARED for Kari. But I was so bitter, angry, and full of hatred cause this, I blinded myself from the truth. I may have become more intelligent in the academics and education area, but I buried a good portion of my common sense with that pain, a long time ago. Everyone is right! This three year `grudge' that I hold against the other Digidestined is totally ridiculous! And the more pain that I cause Kari and the other Digidestined, emotionally, the more suffering I cause for myself. And then these emotional `scars' that I suffered will never heal! I did once think that if people are truly sorry for all the wrongs they committed on people and want to make it up, that they should be given a second change at life. But I was so blinded my rage, I gave up on that. What I had become?! Maybe, this is why I can't access the full power of the Crest of Miracles and my power as the Digidestined of Miracles, I close a good part of my heart! What have I become?! Do I really deserve the most powerful crest of the Digidestined, the Crest of Miracles, if I closed my heart to those I once cared about with TOTALLY BLIND HATRED AND RAGE?! Do I deserve the title of Digidestined of Miracles, the High Prince of the Digidestined, if I turn on my own subjects, who I'm duty bound to help and protect?! What am I now?!]” Davis thinks to himself. And then Kari, Gatomon, Veemon, Takato, Guilmon, and Takuya saw something amazing. Davis closed his eyes and shed several tears from them, while clenching his left fist at the same time. However, unseen by everyone, including Davis, Davis' Crest of Miracles began to glow brighter under his shirt than it ever did before with a brand new strength than ever before.
Kari, her face still wet from her tears and a few more coming down, asks Davis, concerned, “D-Daisuke, are you all r-right?”
Veemon then asks, just as concerned as Kari, “Davis, are you okay?”
Takuya, with the same amount of concern, adds with, “Yeah, is there like something wrong?”
Davis uses his right hand to wipe the tears for his eyes and faces and simply states to Takato, Guilmon, and Takuya, with a very soft voice, “No, there nothing wrong. But I want to thank you for helping realize the truth that I have been denying to myself for over three long years. And I thank you for that.” And then without saying another word, walks slowly to Kari, whose faces was totally wet from her tears, puts his right hand under her chin gently and lifts her head to his. Kari then saw a look on Davis' face that Kari nearly lost hope that she ever saw again, the same kind and caring expression on Davis' face that he had those three years ago. Though Davis' face had a saddened look on his face, Kari knew that it was the same face full of kindness and caring that Davis once had with her and the other Digidestined. Then Davis told Kari, not in cold, serious, or, even angry tone, but in a soft, sad, but caring tone, “Three years is too long to hold hatred in one's heart and it's too long to keep vital parts of yourself that you held dear buried inside your own heart. You may have wrong me, but I hurt in return and that the wrong way to resolve this. What's done is done and nothing can change that. But if you dwell too long on the most painful parts of the past, then you can't move on to the future and the pain will last forever and ever. And I never will allow that to happen for others or between myself and others I held dare. It's time for me to let go of the anger and rage I held in the past and move on. I believe that if you are truly sorry for pains cause to one person or many in the past to the present and want to repair those damages, whatever physically, emotional, or mental, they should be forgiven for those actions and given that second chance. I think that all of us should learn from the past, but move on from it and start over. And it's that time to start over and try to rebuild what all of us lost. This means that I have forgiven the other Digidestined and, especially, you, Kari Kamiya, the TRUE bearer of the Crest of Light.” Kari couldn't speak for a few seconds, those words were ones that she wanted to hear for so long.
Then Kari was able to stutter out, “D-Do y-you mean-mean it, Davis? You will come back-back and-and forgive us?”
And then in a amazing gesture of true cared and even, love, Davis, gently, wiped the tears for Kari's eyes, gave her a kiss to her right cheek, which made Kari blush and filled her with a great new warmth in her own heart, and then Davis tells Kari, with a weak smile and soft tone of voice, “I do mean it, with all my heart. And I realize now, that no matter how much that I was angry with you, Kari, I NEVER REALLY hated you, Kari. I still really cared for you in my heart, I was just too blind with rage to see it.” This cause Kari to give a great, but yet weak one, smile, but a great smile that she ever did in three years. But then to everyone' else surprise, Davis turned away from Kari and took about four steps away from her. And then Davis told her, in a solemn voice, “Kari, I want to tell the other that I want to talk to them about forgiving them for past `mistakes' that they made with me and my rejoining the Odaiba Digidestined, Kari. I think that the other Digidestined I have a talk, one that's three years, overdue. I'm going to have Jun, Silvermon, Takato, Guilmon, Veemon, and Takuya come with me. Don't worry about Jun, I tell her what happened here and ask her to respect the others, order her as the High Prince of the Digidestined, if necessary, but I don't think that it will come to that. Tell the other Digidestined that I will meet them on Thursday, four days for now, in the EXACT SAME PLACE where Tai and the other six members of his team went to the Digital World for the first time.”
Kari knew where that place was, but was confused about why the wait and asked Davis, “But why the wait Davis?”
Davis sighed and said, “I need that time to consider my future actions and time to take a good look at myself. Making sure that I really am the Digidestined of Miracles I'm supposed to be. You understand right, Kari?”
Kari nods her head in understand and tells Davis in turn, “I understand Daisuke. Please come see me and the others. We and, most of all, I NEED you back.”
Davis nods in his head and replies, “You got my promise, Kari.” Veemon came beside him and put his right hand on his Digidestined partner's right leg. “[I've been acting like a real jerk, this time! It's time to forgive, learn from the past, and move on! And it's time I take a good, HARD look at myself and re-open those feelings, those good parts, I lost three years ago.]” Davis thought to himself. While Davis was thinking this, he and Veemon didn't know that they were glowing a slight gold color. But the others notice this and a barely visible image of Davis with two sets of golden metallic feathered angel wings and golden hair in Goku's Super Saiyan 4 style. And Veemon had a image of a humanoid Digimon with metal face-plate with no eyeholes, white covering over where the mouth should be, a red scarf around his neck, and a metal left arm, the same Digimon that Kari saw in her dream, last night! But then the images disappeared and Davis states, “Goodbye, Kari, I will see and the others in four days. And remember that you ALWAYS deserve the Crest of Light, no matter what anyone else or you think about yourself.” And then he and Veemon head home through Instant Transmission. Those who remained there wondered about what those images were that surrounded Davis and Veemon, but they decided to put those out of their minds for now.
Gatomon was the first to talk to say, “Well, that's a relief. Davis has forgiven us and we can be a team again. And Jun and Silvermon might even join the rest of us when Jun's younger brother comes back.”
Kari then shakes her head and tells Gatomon, “Not yet, Gatomon. Davis has got some `soul-searching' to do. He needs to look inside of himself and figure things out.”
Takato nods his head in agreement and adds, “Yes, but I know that healing will begin for Davis and for the rest of the Odaiba Digidestined.”
Takuya then says in encouragement, “Yeah! Then all of you will even be stronger team that you were before!”
Guilmon adds by exclaiming, “That's right!”
Kari smiled at the other's enthusiasm and then tells Takato, Takuya, and Guilmon, “Takato, Takuya, and Guilmon, Gatomon and I don't how to thank you for opening up Davis' heart back to us.”
Takato smiles, shakes his head at Kari, and tells her, “No, it wasn't the three of us that re-opened Davis' heart. It was your TRUE feelings for Davis and his own inner strength that re-opened to all of you. I know that after this is over, all the wounds for the past will be fully healed between all of you. So, if there is anyone to thank for bringing back Davis to the Odaiba Digidestined, it's you. We just helped out and gave our opinions.”
Takuya nods in agreement with Takato and then states, “Why don't we bring you home? Davis would never forgive us if anything happened to you.”
Kari gives a wide smile at three other members of the D-Warriors and answers with, “Thank you. For everything that you have done for me and the other Digidestined, helping to bringing Davis' heart back to us.”
Guilmon then answers in a happy tone, “You're welcome.” And then Takato, Guilmon, and Takuya escort Kari and Gatomon back home.
(Meanwhile; At the Same Time in the Digital Underworld)
Eris watched the whole affair between Kari, Gatomon, Davis, Veemon, Takato, Guilmon, and Takuya happen on her view-screen in her fortress in the Digital Underworld.
“[Well, it seems that Prince Daisuke has made up with those subjects that he was once angry at. And seems to show a HUGE amount caring for the Digidestined of Light, Hikari Kamiya. And they are to meet in the same place that the first seven members, including Taichi Kamiya, of Tai's team of Digidestined first went into the Digital World. And he is taking that bitchy Digidestined of Spirit older sister of his, Jun Motomiya, with him, as well as the other members of the D-Warriors. Well, this is my best chance to destroy them once and for all. And to make poor Prince Davis, suffer, I will kill his sister and his precious Kari before his eyes, in the most horrible way, before I destroy him, once and for all!]” Eris thinks with a wide evil grin on her face. And then she laughs with an evil laugh that can be heard throughout the entire Digital Underworld.
(A Few Moments Later; Inside the Motomiya Home Living Room)
Davis and Veemon re-enter Davis' home and goes into the living room. Jun and Silvermon comes up to them.
Jun asks them, “Well, what's up, bro? Anything wrong?”
Davis gives a big sigh, looks at Jun, eye to eye, and tells her, calmly, “Jun, I need to ask you a favor. I've made a decision about the other Odaiba Digidestined and I arrange to meet with them in four days with Kari's help.”
Jun, knowing what decision that Davis had finally made about the others, responds to Davis, with just as calm voice, “I understand Davis and I will go with you for support.”
Davis then asks Jun, “Please, Jun, don't insult the others in any way. Trying to heals these wounds between us will be worse with any problems that come along with any words `mis-said'.”
Jun then tells her younger brother inside the Digidestined, “Don't worry, bro. I won't and, to tell the truth, I really want you to make up with the others. They may have hurt you, but they are too valuable as friends to give up on. I only threaten them to protect and support you.”
Davis gives his older sister a smile and says to her, “Thank you.” Jun nods her head in thanks. And then Davis heads for the door, but before Jun could say a word to him where and why, Davis tells her, “I going to roof to mediate and tell that to Takato, Guilmon, and Takuya when they come back. I got some soul searching to do for a while.” And then with a wide smile, Davis then adds, “And also tell them, thank you, for making realize the truth in my mind and heart.”
Jun gives Davis a thumbs-up and replies, “No problem, Davis.” Davis returns the thumbs-up and heads outside the door with Veemon and head for the roof.
While heading for the roof, Davis thinks, “[I got to look inside myself and regain what I lost and that's when I will be ready to rejoin the other Digidestined . . . and Kari.]”
